“Chieko was an amazing sitter!! She took really good care of my dog, Sunny. She went to take Sunny for a long walk and fed him snacks+food. I felt safe leaving my dog with Chieko.”

About: I’ve take care of every type of animal you can even think of, I’ve had rabbits, dogs, reptiles, cats, horses, guinea pigs, turtles, whatever you name I’ve taken care of it. If someone asked me to take care of their pet raccoon, I’d do it. I always have and always will be an animal Lover. I am part/full time and I’m open whatever days I’m needed. I’m available during the weekdays if you have work and weekends I’d you are busy. I have a fenced yard and my home is always welcome to any dog but if the owner would rather me stay at their home that’s okay with me too.
About: As a pet owner myself, I understand that leaving your pet can be difficult. I am here to ease your mind with detail and care. I am currently studying and working remotely so I just have some set hours of work I need to do, but I can still keep an eye on your pets I can and will follow any and all instructions for your pets and home. I am responsible and respectful while also very caring towards your pets.
About: Hi! My name is Taylor & I’m a lifelong animal lover. I’ve had dogs & cats my entire life, so caring for them & connecting with them has always felt natural to me. I’ve worked with all kinds of breeds & personalities. Because of that, whether a dog is big, tiny, energetic, shy, or anything in between, I feel completely comfortable. Dogs are 100% little angels & gifts. They depend on our love & care, & I’m genuinely grateful every time someone trusts me with their fur baby. I treat every pet like my own & always go above & beyond to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, & loved. I know how important it is to trust your dog sitter, & I value that responsibility with my whole heart. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have. I’d love to meet you both & set up a booking whenever you’re ready. Thanks! 😊 I currently work remotely, which gives me the flexibility to spend plenty of time with your pup throughout the day. I love being able to take them on 2–3 walks, give them lots of attention, & make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I truly love animals & will treat your pup like my own. I have a spacious one-bedroom apartment with a park conveniently located right next to my complex, making it easy for pups to get plenty of fresh air, exercise, & enrichment. I live a very active lifestyle & regularly walk about 5 miles a day, so your dog will have lots of opportunities to get out & explore. Most dogs in my care enjoy at least 1–2 hours of walks daily, depending on their age, energy level, & individual needs. Whether we’re strolling through the neighborhood, walking along the beach, or hitting a local hiking trail, I love making sure dogs get the exercise, attention, & adventure they deserve. When I’m house sitting, I care for your home with the same respect I would want someone to show mine. I’m incredibly grateful for the trust my clients place in me, & I always make sure to thoroughly clean up after myself & leave your home just as I found it. I also know how important updates are when you’re away from your furry family member! I send lots of photos throughout the day, including updates from walks, meals, treats, playtime, relaxation time, & bedtime, so you can feel connected & know exactly how your pet is doing. And if your pup is used to sleeping in bed with their humans, that’s perfectly fine with me! My goal is to make them feel as comfortable, loved, & at home as possible while you’re away. I truly love caring for animals & treat every pet as if they were my own. 😊
“Tofu had a great time with Pia for doggy daycare! She was with Pia for two days, and Pia did a wonderful job of taking care of her. Pia was very responsive and provided updates, as well as taking Tofu out for walks + feeding her dinner. Overall, would definitely recommend and rebook with her in the future!”

“We had a very last minute boarding cancelation and had hours to find someone to watch our pups for the day. Jon was Rover’s top recommendation. He replied to my desperate request immediately and took great care of our pups for the day. Thank you Jon.”
“B’ha was cared for while meeting new furry friends. I received (and adored) pictures of her walking and playing through all her stages of arrival, hesitation, acceptance and play. I recommend Alice as a loving doggy person.”

“Kimberly is a wonderful, kind, caring, loving, and attentive dog sitter. I love her loving energy and her love for dogs. I found a perfect sitter for my dog. I can feel confident and secure while I’m away knowing my dog is in good care under Kimberly. I highly recommend her!”

“Kyle was quick to reply to a last minute dog sitting request, and I’m so grateful he was able to help. He was flexible, accommodating, and very responsive throughout the entire process. This was my first time putting my puppy in daycare, but he reassured me and made me feel confident that my puppy was in good hands. He clearly has experience with puppies and even puppy socialization. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

About: I’m a dog mom of 8 years, and caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. Over the years I’ve helped family and friends with their pets—everything from energetic puppies and senior dogs to rabbits, cats, and even goats! I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities and needs, and I treat every animal like they’re my own. Whether it’s playtime, walks, feeding, or just keeping them company, your pet will get tons of love, attention, and patience while they’re with me. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I work from home and have plenty of flexibility. I get regular breaks every two hours and a full hour for lunch, which gives me lots of time for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins throughout the day. I also don’t go out much, so I’m home almost all day—meaning your pet will have constant company, attention, and a calm, comfortable environment. Your pet won’t ever feel lonely here! In my home, your pet will have plenty of comfort and space. I live in a spacious home with room for your pet to settle in and feel relaxed. I also have a friendly dog who loves company and gets along well with other pets. You’re welcome to bring any of your pet’s personal items—beds, toys, or a crate—and I have plenty of room to set everything up exactly the way they’re used to. My goal is to make their stay feel safe, familiar, and stress-free.
“Summit loved hanging out with Jasmine for the day! She was very communicative and I appreciated the proactive meet and greet. Would definitely use her again and recommend her”

“Elaine is an incredible caregiver. Her sincerity and commitment to making the dogs feel loved and safe is amazing. She fully understands how dogs need discipline and routine, but done with kindness and love. We were worry free when our dog Coco was with her. And Coco had such a great time too. Definitely Coco’s home away from home. We are grateful for Elaine.”

About: I’ve spent the last 10 years walking dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities, and caring for animals is truly one of my favorite parts of life. I’m super active, love being outdoors, and I’m always excited to take your pets on runs, hikes, or long adventures. If your pet prefers a slower pace, I’m just as happy to enjoy cozy couch cuddles and calm hang-outs. I’m also a cat mom, so I fully understand the different needs and quirks of both dogs and cats. Whether it’s playtime, exercise, or just keeping their routine consistent, your pet will be treated like family. My partner and I both have very flexible schedules, which means one of us is always home and available to give your pet attention, supervision, and love throughout the day. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and comfort are my top priorities. Can’t wait to meet your furry friend! 💛🐶🐱 I’m self-employed and work entirely on my own schedule, and my boyfriend does the same. Because of that flexibility, we’re able to ensure that someone is always home to give your cat consistent care, attention, and supervision. Your baby will never be left alone for long periods — they’ll have company, comfort, and plenty of love throughout the day. We live in a home with a spacious, fully fenced backyard that has plenty of sun and grass for your pet to enjoy safely. We’re also just one block from a large park with a huge open grass field, perfect for playtime, walks, and outdoor enrichment. I’m a very clean and organized person, and I always clean up after pets and keep spaces tidy. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll make sure everything stays neat, maintained, and respected while you’re away.

“Connie’s place the absolute best! Even after my dog has stayed with her so many time she continues to send pictures and videos while I’m away. I even got to FaceTime my pup! She is so great and truly understands what I and my dog need to be comfortable being away from each other. Logan literally pulls me to her house he loves it so much. I highly recommend Connie to anyone who loves their dog enough to really care where they’re going and how they’re being treated. Thank you Connie!”
“My pup, Piper spent the day with Bethany and her family and had a great time. She was comfortable as soon as she got there - Piper knew right away that she was in a dog friendly place.”

Traveled with family and my dog from Palm Springs to the beach and didn't know of the laws prohibiting dogs on California Beaches till lifeguard told us and warned us we could get a $300 ticket if we didn't remove Palomo from the sand area. Disappointed in the parking lot I started looking for a solution and came across Rover app and looked for a LAST MINUTE Sitter, That's when Kyle accepted my request and saved the first beach day of summer for our entire family. He took great care of Palomo and was very profesional when handling him.

Kimberly is a wonderful, kind, caring, loving, and attentive dog sitter. I love her loving energy and her love for dogs. I found a perfect sitter for my dog. I can feel confident and secure while I’m away knowing my dog is in good care under Kimberly. I highly recommend her!

Eiko is a very nice, caring, and reliable dog sitter. Her house is very clean, stylish, and there is ample space for dogs to run around, play, or lounge outdoors. I felt comfortable and at peace knowing that my dog was under Eiko’s supervision and care. I highly recommend Eiko for dog sitting and boarding.

Luther had such an absolute amazing time. We could tell from the photo and video updates (he had zoomies and rolled all over Annie’s rug showing how much he was loving being there). On top of that Luther looked like he got along with Kina and they understood each other. What a perfect match for our fur baby. We will definitely be reaching out for another play date soon.

Shy was amazing with our fur baby! I stayed with Rocket until he was comfortable and all settled in. You could tell she was caring, understanding and met all of his needs. He had a blast with her two dogs. She had lots of toys that he loved playing with and was allowed access to their home. I’m so lucky to have found her. Thank you Shy for taking such good care of Rocket. We cannot wait to come back.

Chloe is the best. My pup has the most fun and feels very safe. He is a timid dog, and often chooses to laze around. Not so much now! I am receiving photos and videos of him trotting along on walks, having the zoomies, and playing with her dog. He took to Chloe and her dog right away and runs out of the car to greet her. Her place is certainly dog friendly. My pup rests on a mini-mountain of blankets on the couch. One photo shows him is curled up in one of her dog beds with one of her dog's furry animal toys. We're loving our time with Chloe.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
