“Marco had a wonderful day! I really appreciated all the updates and photos throughout his stay. It was great seeing that he got a nice walk and lots of attention. He came home happy and relaxed, which is always the best sign. Thank you for taking such good care of him — I would definitely book again!”

“Bailey had such a blast at daycare with Liz, Ash & their dog, Miles! We knew our pup would be in great hands as soon as we met Liz & Ash, they are super friendly and extremely responsive. They made us feel comfortable right away and took such great care of Bailey while we were at work with frequent updates. They have a beautiful backyard that our dog loved so much - I think she had a hard time coming home afterwards! Their dog Miles is high energy (super great playmate) but is also very respective of our dogs boundaries when she didn’t want to play or share toys. He’s a very good boy! We definitely recommend Liz & Ash and Bailey will be back!!”

“Ronald and his wife Beverly have been amazing. I feel good knowing that Stella is in reliable hands while I'm at work. They have been very accommodating throughout the process. I highly recommend them.”

“Hiromi is a great sitter! She was so kind and gentle with our baby Chanel. I appreciated her updating me throughout the day and sending pictures as well. Our pup didn’t seem stressed when we picked her up. It looks like she had a good time! We highly recommend Hiromi!”

About: I’m a dog mom of 8 years, and caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. Over the years I’ve helped family and friends with their pets—everything from energetic puppies and senior dogs to rabbits, cats, and even goats! I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities and needs, and I treat every animal like they’re my own. Whether it’s playtime, walks, feeding, or just keeping them company, your pet will get tons of love, attention, and patience while they’re with me. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I work from home and have plenty of flexibility. I get regular breaks every two hours and a full hour for lunch, which gives me lots of time for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins throughout the day. I also don’t go out much, so I’m home almost all day—meaning your pet will have constant company, attention, and a calm, comfortable environment. Your pet won’t ever feel lonely here! In my home, your pet will have plenty of comfort and space. I live in a spacious home with room for your pet to settle in and feel relaxed. I also have a friendly dog who loves company and gets along well with other pets. You’re welcome to bring any of your pet’s personal items—beds, toys, or a crate—and I have plenty of room to set everything up exactly the way they’re used to. My goal is to make their stay feel safe, familiar, and stress-free.

“Kristina was fantastic. Throughout the entire process, Kristina was a great communicator. She sent me lots of pictures and updates on how my baby was doing. Knowing that Gizmo was in good hands while I was at an event was comforting. Kristina was also very attentive to my Gizmo's needs and made sure that he got plenty of exercise. I highly recommend Kristina to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter. Thanks, Kristina, for taking such great care of Gizmo!”

“Thank you so much! She is BEST sitter for us. She sent many photos for us. So We could know how our fur baby were doing. My dog had a very relaxing stay and is very good condition the next day. We'll definitely request again next time.”

“Sonish is amazing! Gave us plenty of updates and pics / videos throughout the day. Elmo loved spending time with him and Kobe! Their place has plenty of toys and love. Would highly recommend :)”

“Chieko was an amazing sitter!! She took really good care of my dog, Sunny. She went to take Sunny for a long walk and fed him snacks+food. I felt safe leaving my dog with Chieko.”

She is well trained and super friendly and gentle. She gets more than 3 walks a day as she lives playing fetch. I am mostly always home unless I need to run to the store and gym in the morning. I have one friendly and playful dog, we go out 3-5 times a day and lots of grassy areas nearby. We keep an eye on her at all times since I do work from home. She gets fed twice a day with occasional doggy treats for being the best dog.
About: With over 15 years in animal care, I've worked as a dog walker, independent pet sitter, and in an animal hospital assisting with exams, giving medications, insulin, and fluids for pets with kidney disease. Originally from NYC, where I ran my own pet care business, I now bring my skills and dedication to Carson. I enjoy the outdoors with my small dog Flint. I love visiting animal sanctuaries and supporting local shelters and TNR organizations throughout LA. Your pets will receive expert care, a safe environment attached with a warm welcome from my two social and friendly cats (Butter’s and Wednesday) & my playful dog Flint. I am currently pursuing my bachelors taking online, which gives me the flexibility to arrange my schedule as needed to accommodate your pet care needs. I give every pet plenty of playtime and outdoor time, a reliable feeding schedule, and attentive care tailored to their needs. I also provide seat belts for safe commutes as well as pet strollers during our walks for those senior babies or those with disabilities. If your pets are used to having play dates with their local furry friend or have a specific dog park that they enjoy more then others, I will make sure that they're schedule and day to day activities look unchanged while your away. In my home or yours, they'll enjoy a clean, safe and loved environment.

“If you’re in need of someone to care for your dog, Alice is the person I trust the most! She is my go-to sitter whenever I’m out for a day or an entire vacation. In August, she took him in for 3 weeks while I was in the Philippines and as much as I missed him, I knew he was in wonderful hands! She’s caring and attentive. I really appreciated the updates she would send. In his most recent stay, she babysat for a day and I never had to worry! Again, if you’re looking for someone you can trust, it’s Alice!”

Ronald was amazing with my new puppy, Cadbury, especially on such short notice. From the start, I felt completely comfortable leaving her in his care, and throughout the day I was able to relax knowing she was safe, happy, and well looked after. When Cadbury came home, she was so content, comfortable, and clearly had a great time. It's not always easy trusting someone with a new puppy, but Ronald made the entire experience stress-free. His reliability, kindness, and genuine care for dogs really stood out. I would absolutely book with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter.
Marco had a wonderful day! I really appreciated all the updates and photos throughout his stay. It was great seeing that he got a nice walk and lots of attention. He came home happy and relaxed, which is always the best sign. Thank you for taking such good care of him — I would definitely book again!

Hiromi was wonderful with our mini goldendoodle Mozzie! She was very generous letting us walk Mozzie to her door to help him get settled (as this was one of his first Rover experiences). We received lots of photos and video of Mozzie snuggling on her couch and playing with the other dog she was watching that day. She fed him lunch and walked him around the grounds of her gated apartment complex so he could get out for some exercise. Hiromi was also flexible when we had to make a later pick up time than we expected. Mozzie is already looking forward to his next visit 😀 Thank you Hiromi!

We met Keith, Cara and their daughter for a meet and greet since we weren’t sure how our dog was going to be around children, and we instantly felt welcomed and they will be able to take good care of our pup! We made them aware that our dog might slightly be anxious around strangers, but he ended up settling in their house at the end of the day. They sent us many photos (which we appreciated) and updated us on how our dog is doing. They were also very flexible with the pickup/drop off times. We definitely will be using their services again!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Carson commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
