“Elaine has set the bar high! This was our first Rover appointment ever, and Elaine's thoroughness, responsiveness, updates and obvious care for our dog made the experience so great! She provided so many updates, and even sent us a video she made. :) Thank you Elaine for taking such great care of Pepper! She was absolutely pooped the next day, so I know she had a blast. :)”

“Marco had a wonderful day! I really appreciated all the updates and photos throughout his stay. It was great seeing that he got a nice walk and lots of attention. He came home happy and relaxed, which is always the best sign. Thank you for taking such good care of him — I would definitely book again!”

“We have been using Ronald for the past couple of weeks for our pup's main day care. He has been absolutely great, and very flexible with our schedule. He was also kind enough to let us come by to check the backyard, and the areas our pup would be in. I highly recommend him for day care services.”

“Thank you so much! She is BEST sitter for us. She sent many photos for us. So We could know how our fur baby were doing. My dog had a very relaxing stay and is very good condition the next day. We'll definitely request again next time.”

“Amazing sitter!! Shaun and her family are super sweet and everytime I’ve left Roux with them they treat him as their own! They send updates, pictures and videos throughout the day which I truly enjoy! We’ve used them twice already and will continue to use their services!!”

“This was first time leaving our pup day care using Rober. Sonish is excellent and very communicative. He made us feel very comfortable. We received updates with pictures and video. He is truly dog lover and made my dog feel comfortable and welcomed. Thank you so much for caring my pup!”

About: I’m a dog mom of 8 years, and caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. Over the years I’ve helped family and friends with their pets—everything from energetic puppies and senior dogs to rabbits, cats, and even goats! I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities and needs, and I treat every animal like they’re my own. Whether it’s playtime, walks, feeding, or just keeping them company, your pet will get tons of love, attention, and patience while they’re with me. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I work from home and have plenty of flexibility. I get regular breaks every two hours and a full hour for lunch, which gives me lots of time for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins throughout the day. I also don’t go out much, so I’m home almost all day—meaning your pet will have constant company, attention, and a calm, comfortable environment. Your pet won’t ever feel lonely here! In my home, your pet will have plenty of comfort and space. I live in a spacious home with room for your pet to settle in and feel relaxed. I also have a friendly dog who loves company and gets along well with other pets. You’re welcome to bring any of your pet’s personal items—beds, toys, or a crate—and I have plenty of room to set everything up exactly the way they’re used to. My goal is to make their stay feel safe, familiar, and stress-free.
About: I have taken care of a variety of animals since I was a young kid and have had a dog virtually my entire life, sometimes a few dogs at once and many cats too. I have been a fish, dog, and cat parent for about thirty years or more of my adult life and ongoing. Recently completed a twelve-week obedience training course with our German Shepherd. Plenty of work to do. We also have done pet sitting for friends, as they have also done for us over the many years. We have cared for many a senior dog or cat, as they have been ours. We have always had and cared for animals through their entire life cycle. Before Rover dog care and dog walking of other peoples pets, aside from friends pets was not something we had done as a business, but taking care of animals, especially dogs is an activity I have been doing my entire life, every day. We walk our own dog a couple of times daily. I have owned and cared for many dogs. I currently own a two year old White German Shepherd, which is very socialized. He is a silly one. I have some experience in training, in as much as myself and my GSD went through twelve weeks of obedience classes through PetSmart to help get him setup for success. My primary business is in IT. I work from home almost every day. I have an independent IT consulting company, working for myself since 2003, to date. A very flexible schedule. However, the business has been slow and I am looking for something to supplement my income. Another IT job would likely be treated as a conflict, and I already do that work anyway. This type of gig seems perfect, flexible schedule and doing something I have always wanted to do. Right now, I have the time. We will discuss shifts; I may be good to help during a variety of times. I love dogs, all animals really. We are very willing to sit for some dogs in our own home or stop in to check on, walk and feed them, etc. I have a neighbor that does the same thing as a “side hustle” (for Rover) and they love it. When I am out walking my dog, I often run into them walking their dog tenants that they are sitting while owners are away. I have lived in the Southbay since 1988 and love it here. I live in a two-story house on the edge of old Torrance and Harbor City. I look forward to our future contact and making some new furry friends. Thanks so much for your consideration. I have a fenced yard and one dog, a white German Shepherd that is still enjoying late stage puppy hood :-) at two years old. Loves his toys, well socialized and really loves playing with other dogs. He is good company for another dog and someday soon we may be getting another, so he always has a friend. Right now we have just one. We also have one Maine Coon cat (16yr), that generally stays out of site around new dogs. Our one cat has been living with dogs most of his life. We will create separation of animals if it is necessary. If you provide it and it is needed, we will crate your dog, otherwise we are happy to let them always be part of the home while staying with us. The home is safe and secure with plenty of space inside and outside. We are in an enclosed subdivision with safe residential streets for walks. We have dedicated space where our dog and cat eat separately, we can also set up feeding so your pet can eat alone if necessary. We can adjust access to food, so nobody (including our dog) has any issues. Dog walking is done regularly for our GSD and we are happy to take your pet along to explore the neighborhood.
“Chieko was an amazing sitter!! She took really good care of my dog, Sunny. She went to take Sunny for a long walk and fed him snacks+food. I felt safe leaving my dog with Chieko.”

“B’ha was cared for while meeting new furry friends. I received (and adored) pictures of her walking and playing through all her stages of arrival, hesitation, acceptance and play. I recommend Alice as a loving doggy person.”

About: I've taken Care of dogs, cats, rabbits, lizards, pigs, and others since I was 12. I have over 15 Years of Experience; Family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers have relied on me to feed, walk, play, watch overnight, transport, cuddle and love their fur babies! I have A PET POT BELLY PIG named Winston who is 8 years old and the love of my life! Sadly, our Large Senior Dog Mac (175 lbs) with Special Needs we Rescued, passed away July 28, 2023. Thus, I offer SENIOR CARE also. I do not board dogs using Kennels at our home, and its 1 on 1 care where your baby is treated as family and can cuddle in bed with me. I offer transportation for boardings for additional fee. Also walks and drop in visits. Animals are my heart and always will be. I'm currently only working part time at my families business, so my availability is flexible ! I study a lot at home for the Bar Exam, so I am happy to have an animal at home while I study to care for! I offer Pet Sitting (at your home) & Boarding for overnight sleepovers (at my home), Drop In Visits, Walks, and Transportation for boarding for additional $. I am excited to get in some exercise walking your dogs, or playing with your cats (or other furriends), and can work around your schedule. I adore all animals and have a strong connection. I have my own pet pig at home who is treated like my own son! He is fenced in our HUGE DOUBLE LOT BACK YARD, where there are multiple gates & locks to ensure safety and remaining in the yard for play times / separation if needed. I have rescued / fostered many animals as a volunteer. I TRAINED my pet PIG to walk on a leash, and gently eat out of my hand, tricks like sit and spin (dance) for treats; He is very friendly & gets along with all animals, as he was raised with dogs, cats, rabbits. Any animals in my care are treated as family members, always are safe, and have a great environment. Boarding at my home means no kennels, 1:1 care with me in the house, play time outside, and cuddles in bed at night! I love to Dog/House Sit as well, and am happy to care for your animals at your home while you are away. I am extremely trustworthy and responsible, and studying to become a lawyer. I graduated from Law School, and work part time at our families business during the week with flexible hours!
“Claire watched our two big dogs for a day of camp while we hosted a party at the house. She was punctual, communicative, sent photos, and as an added bonus she took the initiative to brush and comb our dogs. They came back to us in better shape than when we dropped them off! Highly recommend Claire’s services and we will book again.”
“¡Perla estamos tan felices y agradecidos de encontrarte, que realmente sentimos el amor y la dedicación que le das a nuestro bebé Dalí! Muchas gracias, estamos seguro de que Dalí te extrañara a ti y todos su nuevos amigitos ❤️❤️❤️”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats and can understand how they are feeling. There is a huge park nearby that I can take them on their daily walks and exercise if opting to stay at my place. In general, I love taking care of them like they are my own. I work full time remotely on East Coast hours, which means I finish my work early while spending more time to take care and play with your fur baby! I live by myself and can fully dedicate and commit my time to your dog or cat's needs. I have a plenty of space for your fur baby along with a fenced patio if caring in my home. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I stay with your fur babies and take lots of pictures throughout the day to make sure they're having a good and relaxing time with me.
West Carson dog parents share their Rover experiences
Hiromi was wonderful with our mini goldendoodle Mozzie! She was very generous letting us walk Mozzie to her door to help him get settled (as this was one of his first Rover experiences). We received lots of photos and video of Mozzie snuggling on her couch and playing with the other dog she was watching that day. She fed him lunch and walked him around the grounds of her gated apartment complex so he could get out for some exercise. Hiromi was also flexible when we had to make a later pick up time than we expected. Mozzie is already looking forward to his next visit 😀 Thank you Hiromi!

We met Keith, Cara and their daughter for a meet and greet since we weren’t sure how our dog was going to be around children, and we instantly felt welcomed and they will be able to take good care of our pup! We made them aware that our dog might slightly be anxious around strangers, but he ended up settling in their house at the end of the day. They sent us many photos (which we appreciated) and updated us on how our dog is doing. They were also very flexible with the pickup/drop off times. We definitely will be using their services again!
