About: I’ve been playing with pups since I was born, I have experience with a wide range of dogs of all different backgrounds, sizes and personalities. Im the go-to neighborhood babysitter as I get along with every dog I’ve met, regardless of their needs, age and unique attitudes from shy to sassy, mischievous, rambunctious and everything in between. I’m laid back and have no problem with untrained, high maintenance and/or dogs that aren’t potty trained. I currently have a very flexible schedule and am willing to work with the owners needs, just let me know and we can work something out. I have a large wrap around balcony and keep gates on both sides of it, I’m near the ocean on the 2nd floor so I like to keep my apartment door open (if the client is comfortable) so that we can both freely go in and out of the apartment on to the balcony for fresh air and people watching. About: My approach with any animal is to use positive reinforcement and a lot of patience. I grew up with dogs, cats and various other animals. I was heavily into 4-H and adopted a wild burro, raised pigs and joined the dog training group with my shelter dog, a German Shepard Samoyed mix. Currently, we have two rescue dogs. Whenever we host our neighbor's dog, all the dogs have a blast and act like they are having a sleepover. In addition to caring for dogs, I also have experience with a diabetic cat that required two daily shots. My husband and I work from home so there is always someone around. We take the dogs out for frequent potty breaks throughout the day. We also live near Valley Park and the green belt which are perfect for longer walks. In addition to my husband, I have two teenage sons who will also be here to play with your pup. We currently have two welcoming adopted dogs, Koko, who is the older wiser pup bringing calm energy, and Mango, who very lovable and wants to be friends with every human and dog. At our condo, the dogs have access to two decks in the back, perfect for quiet naps in the sun, and one deck in the front overlooking all the action that passes by on the street. If your pup likes to play tug-of-war, Mango will happily play and share her toys.

Mornings start with a walk, around the neighborhood or nearby park, followed by breakfast and some backyard time while I work nearby. There's usually a midday break for play or another walk, and evenings wind down slow, either on the couch or out in the yard before bed. Dogs in my care are never left alone for long stretches. I'm home, and I'm checking in constantly, not just during scheduled visits. For both boarding and day care, dogs stay right here with us. Not in a kennel, not crated all day. They get the run of the backyard, a comfortable spot indoors, fresh water always available, and meals kept on whatever schedule matches their normal routine at home. I ask for those specifics upfront so nothing feels disruptive. Zeca is around for company and play if a guest is social, and just as happy to give a quiet dog some one-on-one time instead if that's what they need. I send photo updates throughout the stay so you can see exactly how your dog's day is going, and any instructions you give me on feeding, meds, or routine are treated as non-negotiable, not suggestions.

As a first time Rover user I was very hesitant to leave my 2 year old pup with someone who wasn’t a relative and in her own home. Everyone I know who had used Rover had great things to say, but when you get your companion at 12 weeks old and spend almost every moment with them for almost 2 years it can be difficult to leave them with anyone new. Pia eased my worries right away and take incredible care of my German Shorthaired Pointer, Tootsie. If you don’t know how energetic GSP’s are, they need lots of exercise daily. Pia and her family took excellent care of Tootsie and I couldn’t be more pleased with how well she was taken care of. My dog makes herself at home wherever she goes but Pia made Tootsie feel right at home, so much so that I’m not sure she wanted to leave when I came to pick her up! I received plenty of pictures/updates on how she was doing and all the fun she was having while I had to travel out of town for a few days. I don’t expect to need any pet sitting services for a while but I would absolutely rebook with Pia again! 11/10!
