About: I have two dogs and one cat currently but three cats in the past! I love all animals and feel connected towards them. I have been working specifically dog walking and sitting for about two years on apps like wag. I am a psychology major and want to work with service animals in the future! I am in school finishing up my degree and minor and mostly do online. I want to work with service animals so dog walking and sitting is a perfect way to gain experience and knowledge on all different kinds of animals and breeds. I care immensely and treats all animals like my own. I want people to be able to feel comfortable with me around their animals and inside their home. I know it takes a lot of trust and vulnerability to let someone you don’t personally know inside your home, so i want to make the experience for everyone as easy as possible. I like to give updates and response quickly to pet parents.
“Carolyn did an exceptional job caring for my cat while I was away for a week! She sent great updates and adorable photos, I will absolutely rebook with her again next time 🌟”

About: What sets me apart is the genuine care and attention I give every pet. As a pet owner and experienced sitter, I’ve cared for dogs through walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting for friends and family. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, from tiny teacup Yorkies to large Dobermans, and I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. I’m also a future nurse, so caring for others is at the heart of who I am. My nursing education, combined with volunteer experience in hospitals, hospice, and as a caregiver, has taught me patience, compassion, reliability, and close attention to detail. I bring that same mindset to every pet I care for, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with company, I’ll tailor my care to their needs and keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in caring hands! Pet care fits well into my daily routine because I’m currently a nursing student with a flexible schedule and multiple days available throughout the week. I am able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to each pet and provide reliable, consistent care. I’m available most mornings and after 5 PM on weekdays, with full day availability on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. On Wednesdays, I’m fully available after 12 PM. My flexible schedule allows me to work around your pet’s routine and provide walks, check-ins, playtime, feeding, and companionship while you’re away. When I care for pets in my client’s home, I focus on keeping them comfortable and sticking to their normal routine. I know pets feel most secure in their own environment, so I make sure to follow their usual feeding schedule, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions from their owner. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and what makes them feel comfortable. Some pets love attention and play, while others need more patience and space to warm up. I’m happy to provide whatever care they need, whether that’s walks, cuddles, feeding, cleaning litter boxes, or simply keeping them company while their owners are away. My goal is for every pet to feel safe, loved, and well cared for!
“Courtney was truly amazing!!!! I trusted her from the beginning in my home. She went above and beyond for my kitties. I felt very comfortable leaving my kitties with her. Definitely will rebook with Courtney only!!!!! If you need someone reliable, trustworthy and so kind, BOOK WITH HER!!!”

About: I’ve had cats and dogs since I was five years old and I know how stressful it is to be away from our furry pals. Pets can be flighty when they are meeting a new person — especially when entering your home I’ll be sure to take care with closing doors and gates so that your furry pals stay safe inside.

“When our cat had major surgery, we had Kat do drop-ins to check on him and make sure he was ok during the day. Really appreciated her attentiveness and concern, she even recommended a pet collar that worked better than ours.”

“Alexa took great care of our senior boy Rowdy. She was super prompt and helpful and was very patient with us worrying over our pup 😜 We came home to a happy and calm boy. Thank you!!!”

“Sydney is fantastic! She clearly cares about animals and took wonderful care of our cats! She even took the time to play with them to help them get comfortable with her and adjust to our absence. Sydeny also went above and beyond checking something for us that we forgot to do before leaving. As a bonus she also sends adorable pictures and videos while you're gone! Highly recommend Sydney!”

About: I’ve had two dogs, 4 cats, and a turtle in my lifetime. I love taking the dogs for walks and going on new adventures. Living in a neighborhood for most of my life, I’ve had various experiences taking care of other peoples pets as well. I’m from the East Coast and am still working East coast hours. This gives me the flexibility to take care of your pets in the early mornings and afternoons as well as weekends! My families dog is walked twice a day (morning and afternoon) and is let out various times throughout the day. The cats are indoor/outdoor and they are fed wet food in the mornings and have dry food at all times. Now that I have moved, I do not currently have pets.

About: As a massage therapist, trainer and health coach, and reiki master, I have learned a lot over the years about not only how to heal and help others but also how to apply those same principles to our furry friends. After all they are family too. They deserve the same holistic natural care as we do. And the recent passing of my 15 year old retriever shepherd mix was proof of that. He was diagnosed with arthritis and hip dysplasia at age six and lupus and hypothyroid at age 8. He should not have lived as long as he did, but with proper nutrition , exercise, and the use of alternative modalities Such as acupuncture, massage and reiki, he lived a very long, abundant life. I then passed on that knowledge and healing to a 14 year old rescue named Ava. She lived to be 17! Finally, after taking some time to heal again, i rescued my latest and embarked back on the puppy journey. She was 14 month old husky of pure energy, goof and intelligence. Now she’s a rehabilitated 2.5 year old. When dogs stay with me, they will be treated as my own. They are in a home on a bed, dog bed, or couch. They are in a yard, on a trail, or swimming- not in a cage with only 3 breaks a day. They live the Tahoe life (or the SF/Pacifica Beach life) with me and my semi new Rescue, Nala. Ive grown up with medium to large breeds and I am very passionate about keeping our gentle giants out of pain and spreading awareness against large breed discrimination. I relocated from Truckee to Pacifica In 2019 after running a pet care business up there for four years. I am still up in the Tahoe area once a month, but I serve the entire peninsula area. In other words, I'm pretty flexible, just message me. My prices are not set in stone and can be changed based on your specific situation and your pets needs. Lastly, I will be offering my canine massage and reiki services as both an in home service and at my own home and new office. Be well and wag on! I work from office and home both. But my office is only three blocks away. and school is online and from home. so I’m almost always home unless so have to run an errand. My office is pet friendly and they are welcome there also. They will get the comforts of sound healing and beach time when they are at work with me. Minus my class time on zoom or a sound healing event. I am pretty flexible for pick up, drop off and meet n greets. Two fenced yards, two dog beds, a couch and my bed. And your dog is welcome to them all. My backyard and garden has great energy as I do a lot of reiki out there with my plants. I have two runners and one 20ft lead in addition to two fenced yards But dogs are never left alone out there. If I have to leave they will be put in the room or in a crate depending on their level of training and trust.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Redondo Beach
We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter! Carolyn is kind and reliable, Juan and Lupita absolutely love her, and she always goes above and beyond, taking care of the little extras without ever being asked. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us great peace of mind. We came home to happy, well-cared-for cats and couldn’t be more grateful. We’ll definitely book her again and highly recommend her!

We’ve been having Chandrea as our cat sitter for the past 2 years and we couldn’t have been happier! She’s always prompt with replies, sends a bunch of pictures, and overall very responsible. Chadrea treats our kitty with utmost love and care when we’re away, giving us a peace of mind knowing our cat is safe and taken care of. Couldn’t recommend Chandrea more!!

Vanessa took wonderful care of our cats while we were away for two weeks. She was always on time, incredibly responsive, and kept us updated with detailed report cards after every visit. It was obvious from the photos and updates that our cats were comfortable, well cared for, and genuinely loved by her, they looked like they were having a great time! She also went above and beyond by bringing in our packages and helping with a few small requests around the house, which we really appreciated. Knowing everything was in such good hands gave us so much peace of mind while we were traveling. We highly recommend Vanessa to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy cat sitter!

Beyza was amazing with our cat, Strawberry. Even though it was their first time meeting, they bonded very quickly and Strawberry felt comfortable with her right away. During every visit, Beyza spent quality time playing with Strawberry, brushing him, and making sure he received plenty of attention and care. She was very responsible with feeding, refreshing water, cleaning the litter box, and keeping an eye on everything while we were away. Whenever there was anything worth mentioning, she proactively reached out and kept us updated, which gave us great peace of mind during our trip. I would absolutely book Beyza again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive cat sitter. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Strawberry!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
