“I couldn't be happier with the care Coco received — and my house too! From the very first meet-and-greet, it was clear Victoria genuinely loves animals — attentive, patient, and great at reading Coco's cues. I got regular photo and video updates throughout the day, which put my mind completely at ease while I was away. Beyond the pet care, Victoria also did an amazing job house sitting — everything was exactly as I left it, mail and packages taken in and the house felt lived-in and secure the whole time. It's such a relief to come home to both a happy, well-cared-for Coco and a well-maintained house. Communication was excellent throughout, and I could tell Coco was in trustworthy, loving hands. Highly recommend Victoria to anyone looking for a reliable sitter who goes above and beyond — will absolutely book again!”

“I am very grateful that I found JoAnne. The care that she provides to my senior chihuahua is unmatched. I appreciate the steps that she takes to make sure he is safe and comfortable. Thank you JoAnne!”

“Carolyn totally took care of my special needs 15 year old honey bunny Sonny. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Sonny is a bit high maintenance with his health and Carolyn met all his needs. She was active in communicating and let me have some peace of mind while I was away for work. House and pup were great when I got back. Sonny and I thank you Carolyn and we are so greatful.”

“Samantha watched our two dogs over a holiday break. She was confident, even with walking our 100lb dog and providing medication, provided updates and pictures, and was quick to respond when messaged. Thanks Samantha (:”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life and have extensive experience caring for animals of all ages, sizes, and needs. My experience includes cats, puppies, large and extra large dog breeds, crate training, senior pets, administering medication, and supporting dogs through serious health challenges, including cancer. As a lifelong pet owner, I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, loved, and receiving attentive care while you’re away. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions, maintaining routines, and providing plenty of affection and companionship. I own my own home in the CA and understand the importance of having someone trustworthy care for both your pets and your property. I will treat your home with the same respect and attention that I give my own. Whether your pets need active playtime, medication management, extra patience, or simply a loving presence, I’m committed to providing reliable care and giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away. I’ve used Rover many times for my own past pets and have always had a great experience with sitters. As a business owner in LA, I work remotely and have a flexible daily schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, walks and care throughout the day. Pet sitting fits naturally into my life and gives me the joy of having animals around while I am not yet ready to adopt again. I own my home so I understand how important it is to care for your pets in your home. I always requested sitters to stay in my home with my pets as I understand how important is it for them to feel safe and comfortable while your away.
“Sid stayed with our pups for the first time and we couldn’t be happier with the care they received. Sid was great at keeping in touch and provided ongoing updates and pictures. I would definitely have him sit for us again in the future.”

“Sydney was great with our 2 dogs. She sent us lots of pictures and kept us well informed. The house was in perfect shape as well. Already have her booked for our next trip.”

About: I’ve loved animals my entire life and grew up with four dogs, so I know how special it is to have a furry friend around. Throughout college, I also lived with roommates who had cats, which gave me plenty of experience caring for and spending time with cats as well. I’m an extremely active person and genuinely love walking—I walk the Strand every day and go for walks every morning before work and again after work. I walk at least 5 miles a day and often up to 8 miles on weekends, when I also enjoy longer hikes. I’d love having a furry companion join me! I also have a fenced-in backyard and live just 10 minutes from my office, so I can easily come home for potty breaks and give your pet plenty of attention throughout the day. I’ll treat your pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for! I’m in the office Monday–Friday from 8 AM–5 PM, but I have plenty of flexibility around my work schedule. I live only about 10 minutes from my office, so I can easily drive home during my hour-long lunch break for potty breaks, feeding, or extra attention. I’m home nearly every evening and almost every weekend. I also love staying active and go for a walk every morning before work and every evening after work, so I’d love having a furry friend join me on my daily walks! I don’t have any other pets of my own, so your pet will have my full attention while staying with me. I have a fenced-in backyard where they can safely get some fresh air and play, and my apartment is always clean, organized, and pet-friendly with nothing dangerous or tempting for them to get into. I also have hardwood floors throughout, making cleanup easy and keeping the space comfortable for pets. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and right at home while following their normal routine and any specific instructions you provide.

“Andrea is a great dog and house sitter. The dogs are well cared for and she left the house as if she was never even here! She is a great communicator and provides updates regularly. So happy to have found her!”

“This was our second long term dogsitting experience with Mariel. She did a fantastic job taking care of our dog. She took our 100lb+ energetic dog on multiple daily walks, gave him lots of company and playtime. Mariel was proactively in touch with us daily, with lots of photo and video updates. She also left our house in great shape. I highly recommend Mariel for dogsitting, plan to work with her again in the future.”

“I would give Brooke 10 stars if it were an option. She was extremely attentive, communicative, reliable, and so sweet to my kitty. She also took great care of my place in my absence and left it better than she found it. Cannot recommend her enough!!!”

About: I’ve spent my whole life caring for animals! Every animal is special in their own way and has special needs. I love getting to meet and care for every single one:) I am currently available for boarding first come first serve. Special needs and any other questions or concerns can always be discussed prior to giving your pet a friend and place to enjoy for the time you’re away. I live in a very walkable area with parks, the green belt, big house, and depending on what you’re looking for i can achieve it all! Rest assured your pet will be very happy and so will you:)
“Alexa provided great service, per usual! She's communicative, kind, goes above and beyond, willing to work with you on your scheduling, and a great friend to our dog :) We'll always look to her first, for any house-sitting needs.”

“I had a great experience with Rover. Judy was the absolute best. I was visiting Redondo Beach for a friends birthday celebration and needed someone to keep my Yorkie company for a few hours. Judy was super kind and attentive. She provided constant updates with pictures and videos, which made me feel better about being away, especially considering I was not local to the area. I highly recommend Judy for anyone in need of a sitter.”

“Desary did an excellent job taking care of our beloved 6 year old Sheprador, Marty. Over four days she looked after her in our home. Marty was so happy and we really appreciated the photo updates, great communication, and how she helped us with the mail, clearing trash bins, etc. Would definitely book with Desary again!”

“Jack was beyond wonderful with our very sassy yet loving Cavapoo, Coconut. We were a bit weary about this process and weren’t sure what to expect but meeting Jack for the first time along with how he took care of our precious Coconut quickly dissolved any of those apprehensions. He was so timely, attentive, detail-oriented and loving towards Coconut. He demonstrates good judgment and is so kind and considerate. We just really appreciated him. Thank you so much, Jack. We are so grateful to you!!”

Katherine was fantastic. She was punctual and professional and she kept me up to date on the pups over the long weekend while I was out of town. She sent a number of photos and took excellent care of my two dogs. I would highly recommend Katherine, and I will certainly have her help me out again in the future.

Victoria was fantastic! She was so good at taking care of Aspen for us while we were away, keeping us up to date and taking good care of our home. We definitely hope to have her back to watch Aspen again soon (and Aspen hopes so too, she gave him lots of good snuggles)

Chyna was fantastic! Took amazing care of our two pups – both are rescues, anxious, and a challenge to walk. Chyna went above and beyond, giving them extra love and extra exercise – sending lots of pics. And our place was beyond immaculate upon our return, going so far as to do change sheets & do laundry. Highly recommend her & look forward to having her care for our dogs again💕

This was the first time using Rover. Alexa far exceeded my expectations. I didn't ask her to walk Maddie, I just said if she wanted to. I think she did 3 or 4x, outstanding!!! I feel like I don't need to worry about this in the future, unless Alexa is not available!!! lol Seriously, I highly recommend. A very nice, polite young lady.

Josh and Fi are wonderful and have watched our pets for drop-ins, long trips, walks, etc and have taken care of them through health issues and sicknesses. They are the most reliable, responsible, and communicative sitters and we are sooo thankful to have them!

Sydney was awesome!! I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation knowing that Mystic was in good hands.. Sydney sent updates with pictures and videos of Mystic having a blast which I enjoyed receiving! :) Our home was well taken care of while we were away. We came home to everything, clean, tidy and just the way we had left it. Best of all, Mystic was a happy girl and clearly well cared for. Thanks Sydney! :)

I reached out to Lolita last-minute when my pup was sick and couldn't attend his regular doggy daycare, and I'm grateful she was available! She kept me updated throughout the day, was kind, and took wonderful care of him. My pup was excited to see her on day 2, which speaks volumes. I would not hesitate to book her again!

Lynzie was great. She kept us updated with cute photos and kept the house in great shape. She was also very responsive and responsible. She offered to go the extra mile with respect to things around the house. It was very helpful. We were gone for a while and she made everyting much easier. We would definitely use her again.

Brittney house sat for us and was very communicative, responsible and sent numerous updates / pictures. We felt at ease leaving our new puppy with her. She also came over in advance for a meet and greet to understand our dog’s routine. I would recommend Brittney and use her again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Redondo Beach on Rover is $59.94 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 14,245 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Redondo Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Redondo Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Redondo Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Redondo Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Redondo Beach. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
