About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Wisconsin surrounded by pets, animals, and farms, and have more than 20 years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all kinds. My family has always had pets, and I was helping with their care practically as soon as I could walk! I have an especially soft spot for older animals and understand the extra patience, attention, and gentleness they sometimes need. I’m also comfortable giving oral medications, applying routine flea and tick treatments, and checking for and removing ticks. And I’m definitely not just a dog person! I’ve grown up around and cared for cats, birds, rabbits, hamsters, and other small animals, and I’m very comfortable in homes with multiple kinds of pets. Most importantly, I know pets are family. I also know how much trust it takes to leave them and your home in someone else’s care. She was my best friend, part of my daily routine, and went everywhere with me. Since then, I’ve had two rescue dogs, Nani (6) and Lupita (2), who are my whole world. My pets are truly family! All my friends always leave their dogs with me when they travel because they know how much love and attention I give to every animal. I have experience walking, bathing, grooming, and playing with dogs of all ages. I’ve also trained my own dogs to follow simple commands like sitting, catching the ball, and peeing on command. I have experience caring for both puppies and senior dogs, my first dog had cancer, and I made sure her final years were full of love and comfort. I run my own business from home, so I have a super flexible schedule! I’m home most of the day, which means your pets will always have company, attention, and lots of love. WHAT A GEM! I reluctantly want to write our rating because she is truly wonderful and we want her all to ourselves! haha Kristen is incredibly professional, attentive and a wonderful communicator. She is everything we could have asked for and more. We had a dog recovering from a serious surgery with a list of meds and an elderly dog that needs attention, which she handled with absolute grace and confidence. A wonderful person who we look forward to working with again.
Chyna was fantastic! Took amazing care of our two pups – both are rescues, anxious, and a challenge to walk. Chyna went above and beyond, giving them extra love and extra exercise – sending lots of pics. And our place was beyond immaculate upon our return, going so far as to do change sheets & do laundry.
