“Brandy was such an excellent host! She was exceptionally friendly and communicative, and she sent me photos of my pup, Goose, every day. Brandy even took Goose on a trip to a pumpkin patch to celebrate fall! Cutest thing I've ever seen. Thank you, Brandy!”

“DeAnn took care of Abby my 10 yr old poodle mix for a week. She was so attentive and provided daily updates with pics and videos of her. She is so kind and loving towards my dog that I had no reservations in her taking care of Abby. Even before dropping her off for boarding, DeAnn met with us a week before just to make sure we were comfortable using her. We are so glad we found DeAnn and will definitely use her again for future boarding.”

“Sean and his fam were great! We got daily updates on Nina and never had to worry about her while we were out of town. Great communication and you can tell Sean, his wife, and his daughter are all true dog lovers. We’d recommend them and book with them again.”

“Victoria was amazing! She was able to watch my dog on very short notice for a family emergency and was very communicative throughout the whole process. My dog was clearly well cared for and happy during her stay.”

“David was fantastic! We received wonderful photos throughout the stay and we felt happy knowing Felix was well taken care of while we were away. Will definitely use him in the future!”

“Nicole was great. Diamond seems happy while in her care. I was updated with daily pictures and notes about her day. Diamond had such a good time is recovering from all the fun she had during her stay. I hope to have Nicole care for our Diamond soon.”

“We are so grateful that we found Lucero. She gave wonderful care to our dog. It was clear from the updates and videos that he was loved, comfortable and well cared while we were away. We could tell that our dog was happy and felt at home with her. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving and caring dog sitter.”

“My sweet Coco needed boarding and Tian was such an amazing host for her! He was so communicative and sent me pictures and videos throughout the night and day until pick up time, and he was very responsive to my texts, which made me feel at ease and I loved getting updates on Coco’s day. Tian is absolutely someone I would recommend, and will definitely be my go-to going forward! 😊”

“I'm so glad I found Teri! She was so accommodating to my questions and was super responsive throughout the experience. I greatly appreciated the pictures too while I was gone. My dog was so comfortable with her and her family. She will be my go-to going forward.”

“Emelyn was awesome. Milo stayed with her during the new year holidays for 10 days and Emelyn was very nice to send daily updates. You can tell she is a dog person as she takes care of the dogs like her own sons :) Her dog Jimmy is also the sweetest and extremely friendly. I will definitely use Emelyn for future stays, if she's available. ?”

“Jess and Max took the best care of our pup! We loved getting pictures and felt like she was in great hands! Would definitely recommend and hope to use their services again.”

“I didn’t have anyone to watch my dog when I went to the hospital to deliver my baby. Then I found Harley! She was very accommodating with the date because I wasn’t sure exactly when I was going to deliver and also I was very nervous about leaving my dog but Harley would send me pictures and keep me posted and reply to my text messages right away. The second time I left my dog with Harley, my dog had diarrhea and Harley took very good care of her and even gave her dog (Dixie’s) medication for diarrhea, of course with my permision. She’s the best!!!!”

“Pia M. is the most caring, conscientious dog sitter you could possibly find. My soft-coated wheaten terrier, Gracie, is always so excited when I bring her to Pia's house, she can hardly believe her luck! During Gracie's last visit, when I was away without phone reception for over a week, Gracie got sick and started eating inedible stuff (a thing she does when she has a tummy ache). Pia treated my dog as if she was her own: without missing a beat, she called the vet, got instructions, prepared special food, and nursed my pup back to health. By the time I returned, Gracie was just fine again, and Pia gave me a full report. I am so grateful to Pia for her wonderful, loving attention to my pup's needs and for all the fun Gracie has with Pia and her own sweet dog on every visit!”

“Great service and communication. Love the photo updates! Her calm and patience during such a difficult time in my life makes me so grateful for an amazing sitter like Rachel.”

Leisa was absolutely amazing with Tiggy! She treated him and loved him like he was her own, and we felt completely comfortable knowing he was in such good hands. She sent regular updates, asked all the right questions, and went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and comfortable. She took him on walks along the Strand and to puppy playdates, which he loved! We couldn’t recommend Leisa more and would absolutely love to have her watch Tiggy again in the future. 💕🐾

Thank you, Pia!!!❤️ We felt so lucky to know that Murphy was in great hands while we were away! He loved spending time with Pia and her sweet dog, Stella! Pia sent great updates throughout our trip so we could see how much fun he was having! Murphy has been cuddling with a toy Pia gave him since we picked him up last week.❤️🐾 I know Murphy is looking forward to another stay at Pia's!! 🐶❤️🐾

What a relief to find Amanda! We were traveling through California from Europe, with a trip already planned, and finding Amanda was such a relief. She responded right away and was so welcoming to Cali from the start. She kept us updated throughout the whole stay, and everything went smoothly. You could tell Cali was almost sad to leave, she clearly loved the beautiful area where Amanda lives, and she made a friend too, beautiful Rosie. It was so sweet to see! Thank you so much for everything, Amanda 😊

Helen is great - we needed about 2 weeks of boarding on pretty short notice and Helen stepped up. She is great about sending videos and its really comforting being halfway around the world and seeing your dog happy, having fun and being well taken care of. Will absolutely leave our dog with her again.

Sean was perfect for our dog! We were nervous to leave her at a new place because she is getting older and tends to be quite anxious. Sean was great at making her comfortable and creating a calm environment for her. He gave her daily medicine and sent us pictures of her having a nice vacation. We are planning to have Sean watch her again on an upcoming long trip!

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
