“Highly recommend. David is very trustworthy, caring and communicative. Our dog can be a little particular at times but he remained calm and understanding, which we truly appreciated”

“Mindy took excellent care of our dogs! We got frequent updates which put our minds at ease. We were nervous to leave them as this was our first time boarding our girls over night for several days but with this experience I would not hesitate to leave them with Mindy again!”

“My Dempsey has chosen Anna as his "go to" sitter! He knows he'll get lots of love and attention. Anna and her team are incredible and I have nothing but admiration for how they take care of my best friend when I am out of town. Wish I could keep them on retainer!”

“I felt such a relief after meeting Stephanie when I had to go out of town two days after moving here. She kept me updated with photos of my sweet boy and he seemed so happy and comfortable with her. Will definitely be using her services again!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since 2008, and they’ve been a huge part of my life ever since. I’ve loved raising two dogs and two cats of my own, and as a long-time Rover user myself, I know exactly what it’s like to care deeply about who is watching your pets. One of the most rewarding experiences has been fostering senior pets who needed a little extra patience, comfort, and care. Whether your pet is an energetic puppy, a playful adult, or a sweet senior, I’ll treat them like one of my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, sticking to medication or care routines, or simply providing companionship, I’m committed to making sure your pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I know every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their routine and personality to help them feel at home and give you peace of mind. I work remotely (except on Mondays from 9–2 PM), which gives me a flexible schedule and since I only take one client at a time, it allows me to provide attentive care throughout the day. Whether your pet needs regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, meals, medication, or just some extra companionship, I’m able to incorporate their routine into my workday and ensure they receive plenty of attention and care. I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely play and explore under supervision. I take the time to learn each pet’s schedule, preferences, and any special instructions so they can feel comfortable and secure while you’re away.

“Emelyn was great. Very responsive and took great care of our dog for the week. We got pictures and updates and felt like she really cares for his well-being. Highly recommended.”

“Vanessa was great! She clearly knows dogs which gave me a lot of confidence leaving our dog with her for the first time. She sent lots of updates and I could tell Cali was having a great time running around and playing. We are so happy to have found someone trustworthy like Vanessa!”

“She was amazing and took such great care of my dog, even though it was a last minute request. I really appreciated how kind, responsive, and accommodating she was. My dog was happy and well cared for. I would definitely book with her again!”

“I am not sure I can express how wonderful Jasmine and her partner are in this review space. We have an old dog that is very particular about which humans he associates. In addition, we have not had to board him outside of family in nearly 8 years. Jasmine made an immediate connection with our dog, and gave us constant updates and pictures. Her care is made our vacation possible. We felt so comfortable that not only she would take good care of our dog but also do everything she could to his stay enjoyable. She alleviated all of our anxieties about leaving our 16 year guy with someone new. I cannot say enough about her!”

About: My sweet female golden, Kona, is patient with other dogs and has helped fosters learn to relax at home. We trained her from a puppy and would love to help care for your dog. We’ve sat for tiny, shaking chihuahuas who have warmed up enough to Kona to even cuddle her. I work from home full time, so I’m available all day for walks. I work on central time and finish at 3, leaving plenty of afternoon time for play in our fenced patio. I can crate one dog as needed, but pets are allowed on furniture in my home if well trained. I walk at least 5 times a day, and have a bell for dogs trained to ring when they need to go outside. I have a lovely fenced patio for dogs to play in or just relax in the sun.
“Brandy and Tyler always take great care of my pup, and he gets so excited to stay with them. I am so grateful for them and how they so graciously do all of the things required for his special health needs!”

“Brittany was so great and I’d happily leave my dogs with her anytime! You can tell she loves dogs and this isn’t just a job for her. I also appreciated how responsive she was and that she always provided photos!”

“Molly was absolutely amazing! She was super accommodating regarding drop off and pick up, sent me daily photos with a cute message, and my Dog quite literally had a blast. I highly recommend her.”

“Teri was amazing and really helped me out during a stressful time. She was so kind and attentive giving me consistent updates on how my two babies were doing. I will rebook Teri 100000% for future needs. My boys came home happy!”

“Maria was so sweet and communicative! She did a spectacular job watching our pup, and we will definitely contact her again for any future dog sitting needs. Thank you for taking such good care of our little love, Maria!”

“Jane was very accommodating for a last minute booking. She sent me pictures of Benjamin daily as well as walked him. She provided a cozy, clean bed for him. She responded within minutes whenever I messaged her. She is on point and I would rebook with her. She and her son are very welcoming and sweet.”

“Very sweet, very communicative. Took a lot of interest in getting to know his likes/dislikes/routine to make sure he would be comfortable, and took great care of my Ash. Have already scheduled her for two more trips”

“Erika was fab! Super communicative and on it. She kept us updated with pics and when we picked up our dog, she was very happy. We will definitely use her again. Thanks, Erika!!”

What a relief to find Amanda! We were traveling through California from Europe, with a trip already planned, and finding Amanda was such a relief. She responded right away and was so welcoming to Cali from the start. She kept us updated throughout the whole stay, and everything went smoothly. You could tell Cali was almost sad to leave, she clearly loved the beautiful area where Amanda lives, and she made a friend too, beautiful Rosie. It was so sweet to see! Thank you so much for everything, Amanda 😊

Helen is great - we needed about 2 weeks of boarding on pretty short notice and Helen stepped up. She is great about sending videos and its really comforting being halfway around the world and seeing your dog happy, having fun and being well taken care of. Will absolutely leave our dog with her again.

Sean was perfect for our dog! We were nervous to leave her at a new place because she is getting older and tends to be quite anxious. Sean was great at making her comfortable and creating a calm environment for her. He gave her daily medicine and sent us pictures of her having a nice vacation. We are planning to have Sean watch her again on an upcoming long trip!

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
