About: My parents got a golden retriever for my family when I was 3, and we were inseparable until he passed when I was 19. Since that time, I got into the horse industry, and trained and showed horses professionally for 6 years. I recently moved to California from Oregon, and really miss being around the animals! My husband and I have a cat (Mookie Petts) since we don’t have a big enough house for a dog. I would love to meet your sweet pet and hang out with them! I work from home and am available pretty much any time of the week. I love spending time outside, and never pass up the chance to go for a good walk or time in the sunshine. I am a graphic designer and painter, and thankfully since my husband works as well I have a lot of flexibility. About: I was born into a house of cats and have never had at least one. I have been the primary/sole caregiver for my cats for the past 12 years and even as a child was always the main caregiver, giving my kitty an inhaler and medications for the last two years of her life from my ages of 6-8. Someday when I have the space and finances I would love a house full of cats (and a few pups), but right now I have one large, orange, 6 toed kitty named Simba. I have experience caring for senior cats, my late Sapphire was 18 when she passed recently and had been on kidney medication 2X daily for the past three years. I also had an asthmatic kitty who needed an inhaler for the last two years of her life so I am very capable of giving any medications your baby may require. In my home I have tons of cat toys, cat towers, and am in the process of setting up a catio for some safe outdoor play. When I travelled, I have always found it to be difficult to find a good match for my high maintenance bulldog, and so many times things have gone wrong for one reason or another. Pups are undoubtedly fun, but often we need someone mature to look after them, which often includes more than taking them for a walk and playing tag of war. My most recent pets include a very high maintenance 13 year old bulldog named Ziggy, and a cat that I found in woods and nurtured back to health, Casper (who got adopted and is as happy as a cat can be). My Ziggy has recently passed away from cancer we battled for the past 10 months. Taking care of my beloved pup during his last days equipped me with invaluable senior dog care/hospice experience, so older dogs will always have a special place in my heart. Growing up, he was a very active mischievous friend, despite of being a bulldog mix, so we did enjoy our time together exploring and playing until he slowed down. I currently don't have any dogs living with me but prior to July 2025 I had my own fur babies since 1992.
