About: Here to provide care I have always been looking for. Excited to be back on Rover after focusing on spending quality time with my beloved senior dog, Ziggy, for the past year. When I travelled, I have always found it to be difficult to find a good match for my high maintenance bulldog, and so many times things have gone wrong for one reason or another. So I am here to provide your precious furry kids with care that I was looking for. Pups are undoubtedly fun, but often we need someone mature to look after them, which often includes more than taking them for a walk and playing tag of war. We need someone reliable and safe who will be vigilant on walks, attentive to pets' behavior and knowledgable about their health. Being a cat and dog owner myself, I am happy to be that person for you. I am experienced and able to provide first aid care (wound care and etc). I have always had pets growing up and cannot see my life without their presence. My most recent pets include a very high maintenance 13 year old bulldog named Ziggy, and a cat that I found in woods and nurtured back to health, Casper (who got adopted and is as happy as a cat can be). My Ziggy has recently passed away from cancer we battled for the past 10 months. Taking care of my beloved pup during his last days equipped me with invaluable senior dog care/hospice experience, so older dogs will always have a special place in my heart. About: The joy that my furry friend Rocco has brought to my life is unmeasurable. From ages 7-18 I had a dog in the house. About: My approach with any animal is to use positive reinforcement and a lot of patience. I grew up with dogs, cats and various other animals. I was heavily into 4-H and adopted a wild burro, raised pigs and joined the dog training group with my shelter dog, a German Shepard Samoyed mix. Currently, we have two rescue dogs. Whenever we host our neighbor's dog, all the dogs have a blast and act like they are having a sleepover. In addition to caring for dogs, I also have experience with a diabetic cat that required two daily shots. My husband and I work from home so there is always someone around. We take the dogs out for frequent potty breaks throughout the day. We also live near Valley Park and the green belt which are perfect for longer walks. In addition to my husband, I have two teenage sons who will also be here to play with your pup. We currently have two welcoming adopted dogs, Koko, who is the older wiser pup bringing calm energy, and Mango, who very lovable and wants to be friends with every human and dog. At our condo, the dogs have access to two decks in the back, perfect for quiet naps in the sun, and one deck in the front overlooking all the action that passes by on the street. If your pup likes to play tug-of-war, Mango will happily play and share her toys.
