About: My parents got a golden retriever for my family when I was 3, and we were inseparable until he passed when I was 19. Since that time, I got into the horse industry, and trained and showed horses professionally for 6 years. I recently moved to California from Oregon, and really miss being around the animals! My husband and I have a cat (Mookie Petts) since we don’t have a big enough house for a dog. I would love to meet your sweet pet and hang out with them! I work from home and am available pretty much any time of the week. I love spending time outside, and never pass up the chance to go for a good walk or time in the sunshine. I am a graphic designer and painter, and thankfully since my husband works as well I have a lot of flexibility. I’m very well versed in pet care and behavioral needs, having learned a lot about reading body language and adjusting to it while I trained horses. Although dogs and cats are different, the intuition applies, and I pride myself in being a very safe and gentle handler and companion.
About: Throughout my life I have owned cats and dogs. At the moment I only have one cat which is the least amount of pets I've had since I was around 5 years old, so I am craving more animals to care for! In terms of dog care, I work nights as a restaurants server so I have plenty of time during the day for walks, hikes, and play time with your pup! I live in an apartment with no yard so boarding dogs is limited to cat friendly smaller breeds and I will be most helpful for either drop in visits, or care in your home for your baby. Most of my experience is with larger breeds such as Bernese Mountain Dogs and more high maintenance breeds such as Huskies. However, I love to play and take care of my friends' French bulldogs and mini bully mix! Currently my family dog is a sweet yet strong personality Siberian Husky named Sasha who lives with my parents, and we love to go on hikes or long walks on the beach together whenever we can! My Husky Sasha is a very typical, sensitive husky who taught me a lot of patience and respecting of boundaries when it comes to dogs. Grooming her is a job only my brother and I seem to be able to take on adar requires a lot patience and listening to her cues and I can bring that patience and sensitivity to caring for your pet. Overall, I love caring for pets! It gives me so much joy and purpose and I would love to share that with your fur baby and be a part of their care village! Available upon scheduling 7 days a week, 7AM-4PM I currently only work nights so I am available upon scheduling during the day 7 days a week. I also have flexibility in these hours if later or earlier times may be needed. (Often when I hike I go early in the morning around 630, but that is flexible depending on your schedule). I love to run and hike, so i can bring your dog on some adventures that are sure to stretch their legs and provide some fun! My cat and I play at least 30 minutes a day and I love chasing him around the house to get his legs moving and his heart pumping!

“Jordan is truly the BEST! She went above and beyond with my cat and even cleaned up around the litter box without being asked! She sent great updates with lots of details, photos, and videos which is huge for me! Highly recommend booking with her!”

“Heather was so wonderful! She put my mind at ease knowing that my dog Finn was well taken care of while I was out of town. She sent such great pictures of Finn and gave great updates on how he was doing. I will definitely rebook with Heather again!”

“Julia was an amazing caretaker for my cat over the holidays. Highly professional, clean and courteous, and most importantly attentive and has the ability to build trust with your pets easily. My cat is very independent and typically avoids new people, but was comfortable and highly social with Julia! Very much recommend, she'll be an amazing Vet!”

About: With over 30 years of caring for both dogs and cats, I have a deep understanding of animal behavior and know how to make pets feel safe, calm, loved, and comfortable, especially when their owners are away or at work. I offer more than basic pet sitting; I create a nurturing environment where pets receive personalized attention, affection, exercise, and emotional support. My background in healthy lifestyle coaching also helps me stay attentive, active, organized, and compassionate with every pet I care for. I am particularly patient with senior pets, shy animals, and pets that need extra reassurance or consistency in their routines. It fits into my schedule because I can spend time with them at the beach, the dog park, walking around town, or just hopping in the car to visit a larger dog park. Life is good when time isn't an issue. My home is fenced and offers plenty of space for outdoor play. Plus, we spend most of our time outside. I cook homemade food for my fur baby and always take a nap after a long walk. You can feel reassured knowing your fur babies will have someone present, attentive, experienced, and caring while they are away.
“Mars took care of our kitty for a week. She sent us cute photos every day and even arranged to drop off the keys at a later date in case our flight got changed. Thank you!”

“Barbara did an amazing job taking care of my pets. She arrived on time, sent me cute photos of the pets, and did everything I asked to be done. I will definitely be booking her again in the future!”

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Wisconsin surrounded by pets, animals, and farms, and have more than 20 years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all kinds. My family has always had pets, and I was helping with their care practically as soon as I could walk! I have experience with dogs of every size, from tiny breeds to gentle giants, and at every stage of life, from energetic puppies to sweet seniors. I have an especially soft spot for older animals and understand the extra patience, attention, and gentleness they sometimes need. I’m also comfortable giving oral medications, applying routine flea and tick treatments, and checking for and removing ticks. And I’m definitely not just a dog person! I’ve grown up around and cared for cats, birds, rabbits, hamsters, and other small animals, and I’m very comfortable in homes with multiple kinds of pets. Most importantly, I know pets are family. I also know how much trust it takes to leave them and your home in someone else’s care. Whether your pet needs a long walk and plenty of playtime, a quiet companion to keep them company, or just someone patient enough to let a senior pup take their sweet time, I’ll care for them with the same attention and affection I’d want for my own. My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to make pet care a real part of my day rather than something I have to squeeze in around work. I’m active, outdoorsy, and love being outside, so walks and playtime are a natural fit for me! I’m available throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting, and I’m happy to work with your pet’s usual routine whenever possible. After years of balancing school and a professional career, I’m very organized, dependable, and genuinely excited to use my extra time to help care for pets in my community. I live in a pet-friendly two-bedroom condo surrounded by beautiful, expansive grounds, including a park right within our community. My neighborhood is quiet, walkable, and low-traffic, with plenty of nearby parks, dog-friendly areas, and even the beach just a short walk away, so there are lots of options for safe walks and outdoor time depending on your pet’s needs and energy level. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I’ll always follow their normal routine and your instructions closely. I know every animal is different, and I’m happy to adjust walks, playtime, feeding, medication, and downtime to what makes them most comfortable. Safety and trust come first, and I’ll treat your pet and your home with the same care and respect I would my own.
About: Pet care is already built into my everyday life. Three times a week I walk two 60-lb puppy Rhodesian Ridgebacks that I’ve successfully trained to walk calmly side by side. Every day I also take my own Black Mouth Cur on social outings to the dog park or dog beaches at Rosie’s Beach and Huntington Beach — over the last two years I’ve successfully socialized him to stop being aggressive. Mornings and late afternoons are set aside for client walks and drop-ins, while evenings and weekends open easily for longer visits or overnights. Because this is my regular rhythm, your pets receive consistent, focused attention every time. Pet care is fully integrated into my daily and weekly schedule. I maintain open availability throughout the week for walking both small and large dogs, with consistent morning and evening time slots reserved for clients. This structured yet flexible routine allows me to provide reliable, focused care without conflict. How do you care for pets in your home or your client’s home for the different services you offer? I provide care both in my home and in the client’s home, depending on the service requested. For walks and drop-in visits, I come to the client’s home and follow their exact routines, house rules, and any special instructions. For boarding or extended stays, pets are welcomed into my clean, calm, and fully pet-friendly home environment, where they receive individual attention tailored to their size, age, and needs. In both settings, I prioritize safety, clear communication, and consistent care so every pet feels comfortable and every client feels confident.
About: I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience and attention. I'm comfortable administering oral medications, following detailed feeding schedules, and making sure pets receive the individualized care they need. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Whether it's long walks, playtime, cuddle time, or simply keeping your pet company, I treat every animal as if they were my own. I have a very flexible schedule for pet care. I'm available most weekdays, evenings, and weekends, making it easy to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, daycare. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so caring for pets fits naturally into my daily routine. I'll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and consistent care while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and any special needs before every booking. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any specific requests you have. My goal is to make every pet feel like they're with family.
About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was a child, and I do believe it is my purpose in life! I have worked at dog day care facilities and rehab clinics for sick / injured wild animals, where I received training in CPR, medication administration and behavioral training. PLEASE NOTE: I can only board dogs that are under 50lbs in my home. However, I am more than happy to walk / drop-in on dogs of any size! I love all animals, but particularly more challenging ones are my favorite :) (I.e energetic puppies, grumpy oldies and quirky personality traits.) I will love your animal(s) as if they are my own! With plenty of play time, outdoor exploration and socialization to ensure your baby is happy and well taken care of. *** Please don’t hesitate to message me if you have any other pets that are not dogs / cats, I can take care of them as well during drop-ins / overnight visits if needed. I work full time as an animal care taker from our home with my partner. This is our full time job and we absolutely love every minute of it. I have a fenced yard with 2 cats and 2 dogs at home for plenty of socialization and playtime. I can also crate your pup if needed, as well as separate my animals from them if needed as well.
About: With over a decade of experience caring for dogs, I’m comfortable handling everything from daily walks to routine drop-ins. I approach every visit with reliability, patience, and genuine care. For the most part, I am available in the mornings and evenings. I am very flexible and would be happy to figure out a time to take care of your loved one. During drop-ins or walks, I follow your pet’s routine, give them lots of love and care, and can share updates so you know they’re happy and doing great
“Leslie was extremely professional and very patient with my shy kitties. She went above and beyond and was very responsive and kind. I would absolutely book her again in the future.”

“Julie was super great and very communicative! She let me know when she was on her way and all the updates and pictures! She asked all the right questions during the meet and greet so I had no worries when the drop-in visit came! Thank you so much for feeding and playing with Sadie today! :)”

About: With over 15 years of experience in personalized pup walking and pet sitting, I’ve cared for all breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments. I’ve also fostered more than 35 puppies/dogs for rescue organizations; in addition to my own pets, helping them grow into confident social companions so that they can find their home. In addition, I bring over 11 years of dog training experience, allowing me to work confidently with shy, high-energy and/or behaviorally unique pups. I understand that every pup is different and I tailor my training to meet each one’s individual needs. Your pup’s safety, comfort and happiness are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each individual's unique personality, routine and needs - whether that means high-energy playtime, structured walks and/or a sniffing safari for shy and/or senior pups. I always move at their comfort level, respect boundaries and use positive gentle handling to create a safe and stress-free experience. During every visit, I make sure your dog receives attentive care, companionship and plenty of enrichment. I’m happy to follow specific feeding routines, administer basic medications, reinforce training cues and keep their environment clean, safe and secure. With my background in photography, you’ll receive high-quality photo and video updates during each visit - so you can feel connected, reassured and confident that your pup is happy and well cared for while you’re away. I currently work from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide your pets with the time, attention and care they deserve. I focus on keeping them both physically active and mentally stimulated, whether that’s through walks, playtime, enrichment activities and/or simply providing companionship. We have access to two fenced-in dog parks within my complex, providing 2 safe and fun space for exercise and play. I also have a dog-friendly 5 year old spayed female dog, up-to-date with vaccines, who gets along great with both dogs and cats - she loves having company, whether it’s for playtime or just relaxing at home watching TV.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - El Segundo
Amy was absolutely wonderful!!! I have a senior cat with a very intense medication/feeding protocol and was so worried to leave him for one night. She absolutely made me feel at ease and I was able to truly enjoy my friends bday celebration. I will definitely have her watch my kit kats again. Thank you Amy!!!

Lindsey is the best! She is always available, reliable, and great with communication. She was able to take care of my cat when I missed my flight and offered to see her more often than I requested as a wedding gift 💝 truly a gem !! She will go above and beyond for your fur baby. Highly recommend.

Yiyu did an amazing job taking care of our boys while we were on vacation! She was always on time, very communicative, and brought such a warm, friendly energy when visiting our cats. One of our boys is particularly shy and even warmed up to her, which was amazing to see! Yiyu was wonderful overall and gave us so much peace of mind knowing our cats were happy and well taken care of while we were away. We would absolutely book with her again. Thank you, Yiyu!

Caitlin was a great communicator, totally reliable, and wonderful with our little cat. She was also able to help in a pinch with extra things when needed -- bringing in a new order of cat litter, helping with the mail, sweeping. We've hired her twice and will definitely hire her again.

Mina was absolutely wonderful, and we couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter for Luca. She was incredibly respectful of our home, always punctual, and kept us updated with plenty of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Luca warmed up to her almost immediately, and it was obvious he felt comfortable and well cared for. We also have quite a few security measures for getting in and out of our house, and Mina was always thoughtful about letting us know everything was locked up and secure before she left. That attention to detail really meant a lot to us. We would happily book Mina again in a heartbeat if she’s available. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter!

I love having Kendra take care of my kitty, Tiger. He's so shy and she really tries to get him to come out and play with her. She takes great care with cleaning his litter and washing out his bowl so I know his food is not contaminated. I appreciate the extra care she shows him.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
