“Suyoon was a great dog sitter! Very flexible and adaptive, communicated quickly, and followed directions really well. She was friendly and professional, and my dogs loved her. I would definitely hire her again.”

“Lizett is so kinda and loving toward our pups! She also has been so great about covering during some emergency situations we have had and we really appreciate her responsiveness and flexibility!!”

“Lipika was the greatest. What piece of mind I had on my trip. This service is so worth it. The pictures and comment go a long way. Last time I asked a friend and I didn’t feel the care that Lipika had. Thank you for great people like her and I will book again for my upcoming trip in June and September!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs big and small most of my life. I have experience with puppies through seniors. I’m comfortable and have experience working with reactive dogs. I’m comfortable giving all types of medication and meeting any special needs for your fur baby. I look forward to a summer with your pets! I work at an elementary school in their after school program, as well as a teaching assistant. I’m currently on summer break, so my schedule is wide open this summer! Pets are our family members, no matter how small they are. I treat everyone’s pets like they were my own pet. I’m attentive to whatever their needs may be, whether it be fear of fireworks or needing frequent potty breaks. My own golden retriever is reactive, so I have extensive experience with training, mitigating risk, and all types of collars/leashes. I’m excited to meet and care for your pet!

About: I have been a dog-friend all my life. I have been a pet sitter for many years, both in Portland and Los Angeles. I’ve had dogs most of my adult life. An Australian shepherd (Ghost), a Kelpie (Freyja), and currently a Boxer/Bullie (Princess Leia), and a Staffie (Kylo Ren). While I am not a professional trainer, I have personally trained all of my doggies who all became calm, well-behaved kiddos. Kylo is still in training, as he is newly adopted and just over a year old. My work schedule is flexible, and can mostly be done remotely. I can dedicate much time to the care and/or training of your kiddo. My doggos eat twice daily with at least three trips outside. Kylo is still working on his bravery skills for walks. I am happy to adhere to your preferred schedule for your kiddo(s).
About: I’m currently a student at the USC Annenberg School. I like to pop in on Rover a few times per year to help other pet owners out. I’m a compassionate and intuitive pet sitter with hands-on experience caring for multi-pet households, including cats, senior dogs, and puppies. My services include administering medications, accommodating dietary restrictions, and arranging my schedule to fit yours so that your pet is safe and up to their routine. I also offer my space to accommodate cats and dogs who are interested in being with other cats and a small dog. I have lived experience in pet first aid and pet medication. I can trim nails and groom them thoroughly as well. I prioritize creating a calm, stress-free environment and pay close attention to subtle behavioral cues. I’m trustworthy, attentive, and proactive when needed, while always handling both pets and homes with care and respect. I like to leave your space clean and well-maintained—often better than I found it. I dedicate significant time to respecting your home, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring your pet stays safe, happy, and consistent with their routine. I build my schedule around feeding, playtime, and check-ins. Please provide a detailed breakdown of your pet’s routine, so that I can help as smoothly as possible. I prioritize peace and a healthy balance of fun in the household. I’m attentive to each pet’s comfort, ensuring no pet feels overwhelmed by others.
About: I have been growing up with dogs my entire life and was fortunate to have my own fur baby for 10 years now. Taking care of them is not easy but seeing their smile and tags wag is so worth everything I can do to make them happy and I want to do the same for your fur baby. I work from home daily so will provide the utmost attentive care to your pet all day long. From giving them long walks to cuddling with them the whole day, I can do it all! We live in a high rise luxury apartment that has great amenities and a dog park all within the same facility. The complex is very pet friendly so I can walk your pet safely even during the late evenings as well as care for them all day and night in our little cozy apartment.
“Kristin did an amazing job with my cat Hughie! It was my first time leaving him alone on his own, but with Kristin's drop ins I was confident that he was in great hands. She gave him lots of playtime and attention and paid great attention to feeding and litter box instructions, took great pictures, and even brought in flowers that had been delivered and put them in an area where the cat couldn't get to them. I'll definitely be a repeat client!”

“Samantha was super helpful and available last minute to come walk Henry! She asked questions beforehand since I wasn’t able to show her before I left. She also gave some love to my cats!! Would totally recommend.”

“Anne was delightful to meet and easy to communicate with while making plans for my pup’s visit. My dog is an old gal and Anne was sensitive to her needs as well as her routine. She also sent along the cutest photos from their visit, which made my day. I’ll definitely be using Anne regularly.”

Our two girlies love Melanie! When we come back they're always so well taken care of and clearly got a ton of play time and love. We love Melanie's updates and always share them with the whole group when we travel. This is our second booking with Melanie and will absolutely book again!

Angela is GREAT! I was nervous to leave my elderly cat while on a work trip, and she eased all of my concerns. She reliably checked in during the same time window every day and sent reassuring updates and adorable pictures. I’ll definitely be booking Angela again!

Shiyibin was so great with check ins on my two cats. She gave me very clear communication with lots of videos and photos and even updated me if there was a change in her schedule or she noticed something with my boys (like a hairball). I really appreciated her thoroughness and consistency, it really helps bring a sense of relief when you know your animals are being cared for in a great way! Would highly recommend her!

Lipika was the greatest. What piece of mind I had on my trip. This service is so worth it. The pictures and comment go a long way. Last time I asked a friend and I didn’t feel the care that Lipika had. Thank you for great people like her and I will book again for my upcoming trip in June and September!

Sarah is a TEN-star caregiver. She was conscientious and thorough in her reports and paid attention to all the details required for her daily drop-in visits with our difficult cat, Sammy. It was clear from her notes and even more so from her photos that Sammy was receiving food and companionship. Early in our 3-week trip, we became assured that engaging Sarah hd been the right choice; her photos and videos enlivened our days, and Sammy was in fine condition when we returned. We are grateful for Sarah's care, and would recommend her highly to anyone looking for a drop-in cat sitter.

Guadalupe was a reliable, punctual, attentive, and altogether great pet sitter to our kitty! Our cat had recently been spayed and needed medication applied to her incision site, which Guadalupe diligently did each day. Upon our request, Guadalupe even turned off some of our outdoor lights when it was raining. 5/5 stars! We would highly recommend Guadalupe for all of your pet sitting needs!

Kristin was nothing but incredibly warm, accommodating and reactive while taking care of our 2 cats during Christmas. She was swift in coordinating a meet-up, quickly receptive to information during the whole process, and did everything right including wonderfully entertaining report cards. She also went above and beyond in helping solve some technical issues at the house while we were gone.

Literally, Amber is a life saver. I needed a last minute pet sitter & she was a perfect sitter for my boy Smokey. He’s on three different types of medication twice a day and she was on it! Updated pictures & spent quality time with Smokey. 10/10 recommend, she even left a sweet card, checked on me when I returned home, and some snack for her new furry bff.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
