Pet care experience
Like home but with a pro!
Over the years taking care of animals through my volunteer experiences, being an assistant groomer, animal care in an animal shelter and since 2 years a dog walker and pet sitter through Rover, I love to care for all kind of pets, either it's a hyper puppy that need to release the extra energy, a shy pooch needing extra care, an extra friendly dog that need more interaction or a reactive pup that need extra attention. I also offer morning small pack hikes for $55+ Rover fees (max 4 dogs, minimum 1:30h on a trail with some running and shuttle included). Having been surrounded by pets all my life, I have a very good relationship with them whether they are dogs, cats or more exotics animals. I started as an assistant groomer when I was 14 years old. After graduating (Master of SC.), I decided to dedicate my life to the animal well-being. I quit my career and started volunteering as a foster home, cat and dog socializer, kitten syringe feeder. Then, I rejoined the ASPCA shelter in New York as animal care technician and the Humane Society shelter in Milpitas when we moved. I've been working with Rover since I moved to LA area and love to take care of your pups!

Our two girlies love Melanie! When we come back they're always so well taken care of and clearly got a ton of play time and love. We love Melanie's updates and always share them with the whole group when we travel. This is our second booking with Melanie and will absolutely book again!
Melanie is fantastic. There are certain folks you know understand and love dogs and Melanie is one of them. She followed our instructions to an T and took great care of our pups. Highly recommend and will definitely ask for her help again.

Schedule
I'm a full time dog walker and pet sitter, I love my week with my furry babies, cuddling and walking them! The hikes are in the mornings only when the walks and visits can be anytime.

I'm fully insured and bonded and I also have the pet CPR certification. I’m used to care for all sort of animals from pocket pets to great Dane and even farm and wild animals; from newborn that need syringe feeding to geriatric needing extent medical care and of course puppies requiring extra training.
Pets
A typical day
Your pup has extra energy and he’s social, let’s go on a hike with a small pack (4 dogs max, all morning including hike and shuttle). Your dog doesn’t want long walks but is social, he will love the afternoon group walk. He doesn't get along or just need extra attention, I also offer private walk. Your going away and need someone to care and give some love to your baby, you get this covered with the drop-in visit. I always try to have lots of cuddles and playtime with your furry babies and even have some tricks to keep them entertained while I clean up.
