“Lucky had a wonderful time with Lizett! Lucky is still adjusting to his life after being rescued off the streets, but he connected with Lizett instantly. She took him on many walks, which is he loves! She sent me pictures while I was away, so I was extra peaceful knowing Lucky is in good hands. She fed him and made sure to give him lots of cuddles. I am definitely going to get her to watch Lucky again.”

“Nikki is amazing! Professional, experienced, kind, communicative, and most importantly, excellent with our dog. She watched our dog in our home and made sure he was well taken care of while we were away. I'd highly recommend her services!”

“Sarah is fantastic. She’s very communicative and caring, punctual and responsible. She also took great pictures of Marcel! I highly recommend her for taking care of your babies.”

“We had Zakiya house sit our newly adopted shelter dog for three days while we were gone on a weekend trip. She was INCREDIBLE. She followed our dog's medication schedule and sent us pictures of our sweet girl every few hours. She took detailed notes on our dog's activities with timestamps, and she left a general behavior report at the end. The house was in perfect condition when we got back. She is incredibly organized. We will be repeat clients!”

“Hugo was amazing! We were able to book him super last minute and he was so great with Topsy - who seemed to absolutely love him. Hugo has really nice and calm energy that I think our fur child really loved. 10/10 would book again!!”

“Hannah was wonderful staying at our house with our two small dogs! She was an amazing communicator. We got so many pictures and videos which always makes us feel better. She also left the house even better than she found it. Our dogs loved her and therefore we do too!!”

“First time with Stephanie house-sitting for my 15yo beagle and it was a huge success! Great communication, easy and flexible. Stephanie followed all instructions to a tee and I came home to a happy pup and a pristine home, will definitely book again!”

About: I've been surrounded by dogs and cats my whole life and have spent years caring for them. My neighbors and friends have trusted me to feed, walk, and play with their pets. I simply want to make sure your pets feel as happy and as comfortable as possible. I'm available throughout the week and on weekends since I am a university student and I am currently on summer break, so I have plenty of time on my hands. Whether I'm popping in for a quick walk or feed, or staying overnight to house sit, my goal is to keep your pet's routine as normal as possible. I'll make sure they get plenty of play, love, and anything they may need.
“Ray was phenomenal! He took such great care of our pup, Nova, and our home while we were away! He gave us daily updates and photos, which we greatly appreciated. It helped ease any anxieties while being away from our fur baby. Nova really loved her time with Ray! Highly recommend and will use him again!”

“Daylin was so great watching Oliver for the night. She was super attentive and caring. She made Oliver feel comfortable and kept me updated throughout her stay. I highly recommend Daylin and would definitely rebook!”

“Monica was AMAZING! I moved to Los Angeles recently, and it’s always a little stressful leaving your pup with someone new. Monica was sweet, accommodating, and professional from the get-go. She suggested a meet and greet to get to know Kona and have me show her around - which I GREATLY appreciated her making the time for - and I think speaks to the quality of care and love that she offers to the pets she takes care of. She sent me regular pupdates, was VERY understanding of me needing to rush and leave things a bit less than ideal for her (EVERYTHING went wrong that morning getting ready to leave 😅), and I came home to a very happy pup. Monica even took time to tidy a bit. I have officially found my LA dog sitter!! Monica will take care of your pet like they are her own. She has a huge heart, ample experience, and I can’t recommend her enough! I feel lucky to have connected with her!”

Hannah provided incredible care for my dog, cats and house. She had to deal with an animal healthy emergency and I was extremely impressed with her communication and the work she put in, getting my cat to the vet, and then an emergency care hospital. My animals loved her! My dog is very shy, and I’ve never seen him so happy. She left my house shining, and my animals very safe and loved.

Paula did a wonderful job taking care of our dog and cat. She followed our very detailed instructions, especially for caring for our cat with health problems and who has a habit of ingesting foreign objects. She sent tons of photos and responded promptly to our messages. When we came back, the house was clean and the pets were happy. We’d definitely hire her again!

This is our second time having Raymond watch Frankie, and he continues to exceed our expectations. He was fantastic about sending regular photos and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear Frankie was happy, comfortable, and in great hands the entire time. Beyond being wonderful with animals, he’s an incredibly polite and respectful houseguest — he treated our home with real care. We always feel completely at ease having him here. We’ll absolutely be calling him again and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive dog sitter!

Ariana was fantastic. I needed a sitter for a long day so I could celebrate the life of my late mother. When Ariana walked in the door she had such a pleasant demeanor and energy, I knew my mom's baby Ginger was in good caring hands. Indeed she was. Ariana took great care of her.

Absolutely the best service. She checked on my dogs after a questionable sitter situation and made sure they were safe and comfortable. She was patient, kind, and truly went above and beyond — leaving treats and even tidying up my living room. Highly recommend!

Christine was an excellent house and dog sitter! She left everything neat and clean, made sure my dog was well fed, groomed and had enough water and treats of course! She also walked and ran with my pup! She is very reliable, kind, respectful and knowledgeable about dogs. Thank you Christine for taking such great care of Lucy!

Emily was truly wonderful with our two big sheps and our senior kitty while we were away! When we came home our pups were happy and everything was perfect. We are beyond happy to recommend her and are also so happy to have someone so caring and dedicated to watch our family! Thank you so much Emily! ❤️

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Inglewood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Inglewood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Inglewood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
