“Thank you Meng. We were very happy, your attention to detail, following our instructions and caring for our baby. We appreciate your kindness and communication throughout the days and picture updates. We felt comfortable having you in our home and we will definitely book you again.”

“Ashton was fantastic, couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Our pets adored her immediately, even our very shy cat felt comfortable with her right away. She left our house clean and our pets so happy. I would recommend her to anyone in need of pet care and would book her again in a heartbeat. Thank you Ashton!”

“This is our 2nd time having Molly house sit with our dog Koko. Molly is so kind and cares so well for our dog while we are gone. Koko is so lucky to have a new friend who gives her such quality time! Thank you so much Molly!”

About: I'm incredibly responsible and have a deep, lifelong love for animals. I cared for my dog for 16 years and my cat for 18, both well into their senior years. My dog recently passed, and I miss him every day. Joining Rover felt like a natural next step, as I'm not quite ready to get another dog of my own. I have hands-on experience with senior pet care, kidney disease management, and the administration of subcutaneous fluids. I also volunteer at a farm sanctuary. My office is in the Arts District, so I can walk dogs in the neighborhood before/after work and on my lunch break. For pet sitting I can work remotely from your home, or bring your dog to work with me if they prefer a change of scenery. I'm extremely responsible and will make sure your instructions are followed. I've spent over 10 years caring for animals, including 16 years with my own dog and 18 years with my cat, both of whom have since passed. Through caring for my dog, I gained hands-on experience with senior pet care, kidney disease management, and administering subcutaneous fluids. I've used Rover myself when traveling, so I know firsthand how hard it is to find the right sitter and how much trust you're placing in someone. I take that seriously. Whether I'm walking your dog, sitting in your home, or bringing them to my office, your pet's safety and comfort will be my top priority. I'm new to Rover, but happy to supply personal and professional references.
“Mahita watched our 3 dachshunds for a total of 10 nights, including our 18 yr old who needs medication 3 times a day. She did an amazing job caring for our pups and home while away. She shared photo updates and even performed a couple small tasks around the home. We 100% will be booking with Mahita again.”

“Jazi did a great job house sitting and taking care of our little pup. Our dog isn’t great with strangers and Jazi was very patient with her, it didn’t take long for her to earn our dog’s trust. She was a great communicator, kept us updated with lots of pictures. Very glad we found Jazi!”

About: I've taken care of a variety of animals, reptiles and cats included, who have different needs such as big dogs, small dogs, active dogs, some with medication needs, or even rowdy cats who like to escape. My focus is always on the animal and to make sure they can feel at home while their parent is away. Im a community college student and I work a flexible part time. I have my own car, and manage my time very well and am always open for pet care, as I often plan around the pet parents rules for their babies. I have two dogs in my home, both are potty trained so it is my job to make sure that they are taken out for walks or potty breaks on time, and fed at the right time to avoid any mishaps. I treat any dogs I'm watching like my own, and make sure to play with them whenever I'm with them and make sure they feel loved.
“Liz is an absolute dream of a pet sitter! My dog and cat both had the best time with her while I was travelling for work. Liz is excellent at communicating, sharing lots of photos, and very diligent in caring for the animals. She also maintained our home beautifully. I will certainly be booking her again.”

“Aolani was so wonderful with our 80lb pup. She sent lots of pictures and made sure was comfortable and happy. She was also punctual and left our home spotless! Would highly recommend and will definitely be booking her again.”

“Super communicative, and my little guy took to her friendly demeanor immediately. Having Amber watch Banks put me at ease while I was on vacation. I highly recommend booking her!”

“My dog seemed happy and healthy when we returned after 2.5 weeks. House was clean and tidy too. Michael seems nice and responsible, and is accommodating. I'd definitely recommend him.”

“Nicholle is professional, reliable, and so wonderful to our dog, Papa! He absolutely loves her and we can leave town knowing he’s in great care with her. She is our go to & knows what Papa needs at all times. Highly recommend to any pet parents that have an anxious pup!”

“Chelsea stayed a week with my 4 big dogs...again! She sent me lots of pictures during the week and the house was in good shape when we returned. All my dogs love her. Our flights were delayed but we made it back with in 30 minutes of our original confirmed time. She didn't mind staying with my pups until we made it home. I'd recommend her to sit with any animal large or small! She's awesome!”

“Riley is a warm and caring pet sitter! I knew my chihuahua was in good hands at the first meeting, and Riley's confidence and capability in handling my puppy was greatly reassuring. From the pictures, videos and updates it was clear my dog had a great time and felt very comfortable with Riley! So happy to have found her before my trip!”

“Daisy house sat and took care of our Labrador dog and two cats for several weeks. She was communicative and responsible. We got lots of photos. The animals were well taken care of. Our dog gets so excited whenever he sees Daisy. She watered plants while we were away. The house looked great when we got back, too. I would definitely hire her again.”

About: Hi, I’m Mireya. I am a public health professional by day and a passionate dog walker on the side. As the proud owner of two adorable miniature doxens, I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I’m dependable, patient, and love spending time outdoors. Whether it’s a quick potty break, a long walk, or extra belly rubs, your pup will be in caring hands. I have a flexible work from home schedule. I enjoy talking walks during lunch , so why not walk your dog :). During the weekends , I am free any time. I always make sure my dogs have water right after their walks and always ensure I carry extra potty bags. If warm , we always walk on the shady area.
“Lucky had a wonderful time with Lizett! Lucky is still adjusting to his life after being rescued off the streets, but he connected with Lizett instantly. She took him on many walks, which is he loves! She sent me pictures while I was away, so I was extra peaceful knowing Lucky is in good hands. She fed him and made sure to give him lots of cuddles. I am definitely going to get her to watch Lucky again.”

“What can I say about Sam. Upon meeting Sam for the first time I had a good feeling. Super professional, calm and kind. We had never hired someone to take care of our (very) needy, (terribly) grumpy dog so we were really nervous about how it would go. Usually our dog stays with family who already knows his deal. We didn’t know quite how to prepare someone new let alone what to ask. Sam was very patient and helped us through the process. After meeting Sam there was no doubt he would be our sitter. He was so sweet with our dog and the quirks we warned Sam about were no deterrent at all. His view on pet care, especially those in their golden years is very special. Speaks to the kind heart Sam has. We had a tight turn around between trips and Sam was very understanding and flexible (and didn’t I mention kind??) with us when dealing with logistics. Sam sent pictures of our dog and had great communication while we were away. I could tell our grouchy guy was in heaven from the updates despite our pup having to get eye drops which wasn’t a problem for Sam at all. Long story short, Sam is a lovely human who takes pride in what he does, truly cares about the animals in his care. No doubt would recommend Sam in a heartbeat and would use Sam again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Culver City
Mark is awesome - he had walked Roxy before but this was the first time he pet sat and he stayed at our house taking care of her for 10 days while we were in Japan. We got tons of pictures showing how happy she was (it was very obvious in the pictures), he was super responsible in taking care of the house, all communication was excellent, and we felt really good about how everything was going at home. That peace of mind while on vacation was really important. Would absolutely recommend Mark to anyone!

Brennen is a wonderful sitter! He is kind with a relaxed and responsible vibe and I honestly never worried about my house or my precious critters. One of my dogs was once my foster, and she was stray before coming to me and has lingering anxiety. She needs to be walked on her own so she can be the sole focus and he took this info in stride and took great care of her. He is a prompt and courteous communicator and my pups never missed a beat in their schedule. He treated our home like his own, and we will definitely be booking him again for future sitting/walking needs. Will be leaving a generous tip. Thank you, Brennen!

Lauren and Journey went above and beyond for our pup Dorothy. From the moment we left, we felt completely at ease because of the incredible communication and updates. We received so many adorable pictures and videos throughout the stay, and it was obvious our girl was having the best time! We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, kind, and attentive to care for their pet. Thank you so much!

Mahita watched our 3 dachshunds for a total of 10 nights, including our 18 yr old who needs medication 3 times a day. She did an amazing job caring for our pups and home while away. She shared photo updates and even performed a couple small tasks around the home. We 100% will be booking with Mahita again.

Sarah was so wonderful with Bucatini. He instantly loved her, which made us feel comfortable leaving him for a long weekend. She asked good questions about his routines and quirks, sent us lots of great photos, and communicated daily. We’ll definitely book with her again!

I had such a wonderful experience! She was attentive, communicative, and clearly cared about my pets. She sent thoughtful updates and plenty of pictures throughout the day. She actually got my kitten, Mookie, and my older cat, Toni, to play together! I came home to three happy, relaxed pets. I would absolutely trust her to watch them again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their animals.

Omg Luke is the BEST! I’m a crazy dog mom and luke was so calm, sweet and kind with me and my dog. He was super communicative - definitely has become my go-to dog sitter forever now. Also he took amazing care of our house when we were gone - everything was spotless. Thank you, Luke! You’re the best ever and set the standard for Dogsitters!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Culver City on Rover is $70 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 13,775 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Culver City. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Culver City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Culver City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Culver City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
