About: I'm incredibly responsible and have a deep, lifelong love for animals. I cared for my dog for 16 years and my cat for 18, both well into their senior years. My dog recently passed, and I miss him every day. Joining Rover felt like a natural next step, as I'm not quite ready to get another dog of my own. I have hands-on experience with senior pet care, kidney disease management, and the administration of subcutaneous fluids. I also volunteer at a farm sanctuary. My office is in the Arts District, so I can walk dogs in the neighborhood before/after work and on my lunch break. For pet sitting I can work remotely from your home, or bring your dog to work with me if they prefer a change of scenery. I'm extremely responsible and will make sure your instructions are followed. I've spent over 10 years caring for animals, including 16 years with my own dog and 18 years with my cat, both of whom have since passed. Through caring for my dog, I gained hands-on experience with senior pet care, kidney disease management, and administering subcutaneous fluids. I've used Rover myself when traveling, so I know firsthand how hard it is to find the right sitter and how much trust you're placing in someone. I take that seriously. Whether I'm walking your dog, sitting in your home, or bringing them to my office, your pet's safety and comfort will be my top priority. I'm new to Rover, but happy to supply personal and professional references.
“Thank you Meng. We were very happy, your attention to detail, following our instructions and caring for our baby. We appreciate your kindness and communication throughout the days and picture updates. We felt comfortable having you in our home and we will definitely book you again.”

“Nick and Heidi were so great with my large anxious dog! I could tell he was in good spirits and super relaxed with them for our 4 night house sitting. I got loads of updates and came back to a clean home and happy doggo! Would definitely recommend both of them take good care of your furry friend!”

“This is our 2nd time having Molly house sit with our dog Koko. Molly is so kind and cares so well for our dog while we are gone. Koko is so lucky to have a new friend who gives her such quality time! Thank you so much Molly!”

“Riley is a warm and caring pet sitter! I knew my chihuahua was in good hands at the first meeting, and Riley's confidence and capability in handling my puppy was greatly reassuring. From the pictures, videos and updates it was clear my dog had a great time and felt very comfortable with Riley! So happy to have found her before my trip!”

“Ashton did a great job taking care of our critters!!! She stayed with them over a long weekend and the house was spotless and all the animals happy as could be when we got home. Thanks Ashton!!!”

“Liz was great! She took great care of our golden retriever (and home) while we were traveling. She communicated with us each day, and we felt extremely comfortable knowing our dog was in her hands. We hope to use her again in the future!”

“Stephanie was a great cat sitter. She really helped us out when another Rover sitter canceled and it was getting closer to our departure. She responded immediately and we set up a meet and greet. All went well and we booked her that day. I didn't manage my time effectively and ended up leaving a small note about staying at our apartment and our cat Meka. No problem, we were able to communicate through text and she just knew what to do anyway. She sent pictures every morning and also extra ones with cute poses. I could see Meka had made a new friend. Our plane got in late and she stayed to make sure the cat was feed. Everything was in order and our plants were even taken care of. Don't hesitate book Stephanie, we would again.”

“Serina watched my dog & sister's cat for a weekend. Very thankful she was able to book only a few days in advance - very responsive & accommodating! Loved the photo updates :)”

“This was our second time having Ashley watch our dog. She is reliable, communicative, and our pup really enjoys his time with her! She also leaves our home clean. We will definitely book her again. Thank you, Ashley!”

“Emily was a wonderful choice to house/dog sit for our long weekend. She was communicative, sent updates, and very easy going. Thank you for taking care of my senior pup who can be a little odd sometimes.”

“My dog seemed happy and healthy when we returned after 2.5 weeks. House was clean and tidy too. Michael seems nice and responsible, and is accommodating. I'd definitely recommend him.”

“Hannah was great! Super responsive from the get go, kept me updated throughout each day I was gone, and left my house exactly as I left it. Loved the daily photos so I could see my pup having a blast. Thanks, Hannah!”

“Jennifer was awesome! She was communicative, clean, and so good to our dog. We appreciated all of the pictures and videos as well as how clean she left our apartment after staying here. 1000% recommend and will be using her again.”

“Emma was amazing with our dog, Riley! She sent us updates with photos each day and was really communicative while we were gone. She kept our apartment very clean and tidy for us when we got home. We could tell that Riley was so happy when we got back from our trip. Would highly recommend Emma and we’ll be booking her again in the future!”

“Lizette accepted our invitation to sit at the last minute and she flexibly performed the job despite taking care of cat/kittens for another client. She was affectionate and caring with our pups, and communicated throughout the sit via Rover chat. She included videos and photos of our dogs on walks and left our home in the same state that she found it. The only improvement feedback we had for her was to ensure that she gives our dogs all the walks that we agreed they needed. We are thankful to have found her available for the job.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Culver City
Emily crushed it! She was super throughout the entire process. Will definitely use again. She was very proactive from the first message - setting up a meet and greet. She was great with Rory during the meeting. For the stay, she was also great! Updates came in frequently, she asked questions, etc. Zero concerns or questions with how our pet was doing. At the end of the stay, she provided an overall summary and some thoughts on Rory which were super helpful. Our house was kept as if no one had stayed here - in a good way! Clean and tidy. Thanks again Emily!!!

Ashton stayed in my home, with my dog Lulu, for two weeks while I traveled for work. Most importantly Lulu was happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for when I returned. Ashton was also just a great house guest. She was clean, quiet, and communicative. 10/10 will rebook with Ashton!

What can I say about Sam. Upon meeting Sam for the first time I had a good feeling. Super professional, calm and kind. We had never hired someone to take care of our (very) needy, (terribly) grumpy dog so we were really nervous about how it would go. Usually our dog stays with family who already knows his deal. We didn’t know quite how to prepare someone new let alone what to ask. Sam was very patient and helped us through the process. After meeting Sam there was no doubt he would be our sitter. He was so sweet with our dog and the quirks we warned Sam about were no deterrent at all. His view on pet care, especially those in their golden years is very special. Speaks to the kind heart Sam has. We had a tight turn around between trips and Sam was very understanding and flexible (and didn’t I mention kind??) with us when dealing with logistics. Sam sent pictures of our dog and had great communication while we were away. I could tell our grouchy guy was in heaven from the updates despite our pup having to get eye drops which wasn’t a problem for Sam at all. Long story short, Sam is a lovely human who takes pride in what he does, truly cares about the animals in his care. No doubt would recommend Sam in a heartbeat and would use Sam again.

Angel is wonderful and we were so happy to have him care for our dog while we were away for a holiday weekend. He is very professional and caring and it’s clear he knows how to find the right approach to different dogs. He gave our boy plenty of exercise, walks, hikes, and play time and was consistent about sending pictures and updates!

Kay was a fantastic house and dog sitter. We were away for a week, and she took wonderful care of our two dogs. It was clear she genuinely enjoyed spending time with them, and she went above and beyond throughout her stay. She sent us lots of photos and updates, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We came home to an immaculate house with everything in perfect order. I can’t recommend Kay highly enough!

Georgie absolutely loved her time with Katy! It was so nice to have a sitter who paid such close attention to my dog’s needs and sent daily updates of the great time they were having. When I returned home I could barely tell anyone had been staying in my place it was so spotless and tidy, exactly as I left it. Will definitely be booking Katy again, she’s very attentive and respectful, and Georgie would say she’s a very fun adventure buddy.

Vivian was amazing! She stayed in our home for nearly three weeks to care for our two cats, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She was incredibly responsive, attentive, and took excellent care of both our cats and our home, which was spotless when we returned. We can already tell our cats miss her! We highly recommend Vivian, and she is our go-to sitter whenever we need one.

My shy cat took to Janet very quickly, coming out to see Janet at the meet and greet, which my cat often does not do. Janet was careful to ensure she remembered all the details in caring for my cat, even taking notes. Janet was a great communicator, trustworthy, and sent me lots of good pics of my cat. I would definitely trust Janet to watch my cat again and I would recommend her to anyone.

Jessica is kind and considerate, and wonderful with Nika. She overnighted in the house and was prompt, communicative and left everything nice and tidy. She’s also come over for a quick walk and some playtime with Nika - always on time and enthusiastic. These are the ingredients of a reliable Dogsitter. I recommend her for either scenario and will book her again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Culver City on Rover is $69.93 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 14,026 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Culver City. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Culver City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Culver City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Culver City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Culver City. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
