“Meng was a fantastic sitter during my week away! She was great with Wally and shared daily updates of him. Moreover, my apartment was in great condition when she left. Highly recommend her!”

“Nick and Heidi helped us out again for a great sit over a long weekend while we attended a wedding! We had some new furniture and they were able to take care of the house perfectly and manage our large anxious boy so well!! We got so many pictures and felt so calmed that he was in good hands!”

“My dog seemed happy and healthy when we returned after 2.5 weeks. House was clean and tidy too. Michael seems nice and responsible, and is accommodating. I'd definitely recommend him.”

“Ashton did a great job taking care of our critters!!! She stayed with them over a long weekend and the house was spotless and all the animals happy as could be when we got home. Thanks Ashton!!!”

“Riley is a warm and caring pet sitter! I knew my chihuahua was in good hands at the first meeting, and Riley's confidence and capability in handling my puppy was greatly reassuring. From the pictures, videos and updates it was clear my dog had a great time and felt very comfortable with Riley! So happy to have found her before my trip!”

“Liz was an excellent Rover sitter and she took excellent care of our elderly dog. I love that she sent pictures throughout the day, it was clear our dog was happy and relaxed. We will definitely ask her to come back!”

“Wonderful house sitter. Very communicative and attentive to our senior cat who needs extra TLC. Would recommend to anyone looking for a kind and dependable person. 10/10 ⭐️”

“Ashley was a great and reliable dog sitter. She communicated with us quickly and asked our advice when our older dog was showing signs of anxiety , she also was able to give him anxiety meds which wasn’t something we reviewed in person because we weren’t anticipating it. She also calmly communicated that our buildings fire alarm was going off and was very forgiving about the interrupted sleep because of it. We’re grateful she was able to watch our dogs!”

“Chelsea watched my dog and cat for 10 days straight at my apartment as my first rover experience with her. She was so kind during our meet and greet and very communicative throughout the process. During her stay she sent numerous photos a day and was very responsive. When we returned to our apartment everything was clean and tidy, maybe even tidier than how we left it. I will absolutely be requesting Chelsea to care for my animals again and would refer her to friends in the area. I know my animals are in good hands with her which is all a pet parent can ask for 🥰”

“We booked Nicholle for a one-night stay with our pups and really appreciated that she was available last-minute! She sent plenty of photo updates and kept us in the loop, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Thanks again for helping out on short notice!”

About: I've always taken care of dogs my entire life. From the yellow lab I had until high school to my neighbor's three maltese, I've been trusted with feeding, walking, and bathing them. With the range of sizes I've watched, I'm more than happy to just chill with them or take them on a hike in the mountains (if theyre feeling truly adventurous)! I'm also especially experienced with dogs with separation anxiety (ask me about my cattle dog haha)! I'm currently looking for work, so my schedule is extremely open! Usually mornings or evenings work best for my natural schedule, but I'm very flexible. I've never caged any of the animals I've cared for, save for the few families who need that for their pets. I also usually look around the area in advance to look for any parks or landmarks the dogs may be interested in (and I'm always open to suggestions from the owner)! I want to make sure the pets feel safe, friendly, and comfortable to be their true selves!
“Our pet is elderly and needs a lot of help, including insulin injections. We are so glad Serina was there to take care of her! It was a relief to not have to worry about our pet getting the medical care she needs (and snuggles). Thank you!”

“Jennifer was awesome! She was communicative, clean, and so good to our dog. We appreciated all of the pictures and videos as well as how clean she left our apartment after staying here. 1000% recommend and will be using her again.”

“Margaret was fantastic with our dog and 2 cats while we were out of the country. She was able to ease my anxiety, great communicator, and sent lots of pictures. We will definitely book future sittings with Margaret”

About: I'm incredibly responsible and have a deep, lifelong love for animals. I cared for my dog for 16 years and my cat for 18, both well into their senior years. My dog recently passed, and I miss him every day. Joining Rover felt like a natural next step, as I'm not quite ready to get another dog of my own. I have hands-on experience with senior pet care, kidney disease management, and the administration of subcutaneous fluids. I also volunteer at a farm sanctuary. My office is in the Arts District, so I can walk dogs in the neighborhood before/after work and on my lunch break. For pet sitting I can work remotely from your home, or bring your dog to work with me if they prefer a change of scenery. I'm extremely responsible and will make sure your instructions are followed. I've spent over 10 years caring for animals, including 16 years with my own dog and 18 years with my cat, both of whom have since passed. Through caring for my dog, I gained hands-on experience with senior pet care, kidney disease management, and administering subcutaneous fluids. I've used Rover myself when traveling, so I know firsthand how hard it is to find the right sitter and how much trust you're placing in someone. I take that seriously. Whether I'm walking your dog, sitting in your home, or bringing them to my office, your pet's safety and comfort will be my top priority. I'm new to Rover, but happy to supply personal and professional references.

My shy cat took to Janet very quickly, coming out to see Janet at the meet and greet, which my cat often does not do. Janet was careful to ensure she remembered all the details in caring for my cat, even taking notes. Janet was a great communicator, trustworthy, and sent me lots of good pics of my cat. I would definitely trust Janet to watch my cat again and I would recommend her to anyone.

Jessica is kind and considerate, and wonderful with Nika. She overnighted in the house and was prompt, communicative and left everything nice and tidy. She’s also come over for a quick walk and some playtime with Nika - always on time and enthusiastic. These are the ingredients of a reliable Dogsitter. I recommend her for either scenario and will book her again.

Malin is truly always the best sitter. She takes amazing care of our two pets every time, looking out for them and providing us with the cutest photos ever! She also always leaves the house better than she finds it, and is super responsive. We, and our pets, love malin!

This was the second time Danielle stayed overnight with my kitty Gimli. Gimli has asthma so needs an inhaler twice daily, and he’s also quite an anxious high enrichment boy, but Danielle has done an excellent job keeping him calm and cared for, giving me plenty of updates and being incredibly mindful and thoughtful about a stressful incident he had with another sitter. I have returned to a happy kitty both times and am very grateful for her care!

Ashton was so great with my dog and a super respectful houseguest as well. She gave updates throughout the stay with lots of great pictures and a level of detail that makes clear she pays attention to all your notes and cares deeply that your pet has a great experience. She’s very responsive and reliable; just exceptional. Lenny was happy and relaxed when I got him - 10/10 will book again 💕

Christine took the time to get to know our dogs and know us. She listened to us and followed and applied all the tricks and usual plan we had for our babies. She walked them and snuggled with them, knowing that they needed lots of loving. Christine sent several updates and pics daily which was greatly appreciated. She cared for our property and the house was in great shape when we got back. I highly recommend Christine.
Deirdre was exceptional! She cared for our high energy, total Velcro, one year-old Frenchie, Wonder, with endless patience, incredible dedication, and amazing attention to detail. She went above and beyond what was asked - even fixing our bathroom door, interfacing with our building’s impromptu maintenance visits, and caring for Kiki, the stray kitty we’ve adopted, as well as she did for Wonder. I’m very attached to Wonder (as we all are with our fur babies), and her frequent check ins and photo updates really gave me peace of mind. We love Deirdre and will definitely be booking her again. THANK YOU, Deirdre!!!!

Camie took great care of Bailey and the house while I was away. Communication was excellent, everything was exactly as I left it, and Bailey seemed happy, relaxed, and very well cared for when I got home. I appreciate the peace of mind knowing Bailey was in good hands. I’m pretty sure she may have preferred the extra attention and snacks from Camie over having me home. Highly recommend and would gladly book again.

April, Did a fantastic job with Sassy! She was incredibly caring, spent a lot of time with Sassy, took her for walks and played with her. Sassy adored her. April respected the feeding schedule of Sassy and handle everything professionally. I would absolutely have her back in my home to dog sit Sassy. I was pleased with the results and would recommend April highly!

FAQs for House Sitting - Culver City
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Culver City on Rover is $69.93 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 14,026 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Culver City. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Culver City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Culver City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Culver City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
