“Natalie was great with my two dogs! She was very communicative and would check in frequently with updates and pictures. My dogs warmed up to her quickly and seems like they had a great weekend with her! I’ll definitely be asking Natalie back to watch my dogs whenever I’m out of town, would recommend her to any dog parent looking for a sitter!”

She left our house clean and our pets so happy. I would recommend her to anyone in need of pet care and would book her again in a heartbeat. Thank you Ashton!”

“We have a very high maintenance cat and cannot thank Marissa enough for her patience with him. She is fantastic and makes leaving our cat at home a breeze as she sends regular updates and photos.”

About: I’ve cared for a few friends’ pets for years and housesit when they travel, so I figured I would make it a regular thing! Mostly I've watched cats and dogs, but I’ve cared for many different animals in various capacities, including rabbits, hamsters, turtles, and fish. I'm also happy to do various house chores and preferred upkeep while you’re away! I work in office Monday-Friday in Culver City, but my hours are somewhat flexible. As long as your pups can be alone for 6 hours or less, I can be there to walk them before and after! My weekends are generally free, especially with advance notice when I can save time for activities with the animals. I care for pets in their home environments and stick to whatever instructions pet parents leave for me. I understand the trust required to welcome someone into your home and take care of your pets and I always try to honor that and leave each place as I found it, or better.
“Jeff is an excellent pet sitter. They took lots of care and made sure the dogs and cat were well looked after. They left our house very tidy and clean. Will definitely be booking with them again.”

About: Hi, I’m Mireya. I am a public health professional by day and a passionate dog walker on the side. As the proud owner of two adorable miniature doxens, I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I’m dependable, patient, and love spending time outdoors. Whether it’s a quick potty break, a long walk, or extra belly rubs, your pup will be in caring hands. I have a flexible work from home schedule. I enjoy talking walks during lunch , so why not walk your dog :). During the weekends , I am free any time. I always make sure my dogs have water right after their walks and always ensure I carry extra potty bags. If warm , we always walk on the shady area.
“Daisy house sat and took care of our Labrador dog and two cats for several weeks. She was communicative and responsible. We got lots of photos. The animals were well taken care of. Our dog gets so excited whenever he sees Daisy. She watered plants while we were away. The house looked great when we got back, too. I would definitely hire her again.”

“Sam was such a great sitter! He was really easy to communicate with, and followed all of my directions seamlessly. My dog had a few accidents after I left, she had a hard time adjusting to someone new. Sam was exceptional at communicating, cleaned up after her, and kept me updated on the situation. Sam was really respectful of my home, He left everything perfect. Sam is definitely the kind of professional you want watching over your fur baby! I will book with Sam again.”

“Margaret was great! She took great care of our 2 pups! She was very attentive to all their needs, gave meds as instructed and communicated regularly. The pups were perfectly calm when we got home and our place was left neat and tidy! We look forward to having Margaret back again!”

“Jennifer was awesome! She was communicative, clean, and so good to our dog. We appreciated all of the pictures and videos as well as how clean she left our apartment after staying here. 1000% recommend and will be using her again.”

“Riley is a warm and caring pet sitter! I knew my chihuahua was in good hands at the first meeting, and Riley's confidence and capability in handling my puppy was greatly reassuring. From the pictures, videos and updates it was clear my dog had a great time and felt very comfortable with Riley! So happy to have found her before my trip!”

“Aolani was so wonderful with my anxious old pittie. She took great care of him and all his little quirks. I got daily updates with pictures and when I came home, my house was pristine. Thanks so much!”

“Liz was amazing with my two large greyhounds and parrot. All three took to her immediately and it was clear from the first visit that she would be a great sitter for my boys. She sent lots of updates and pictures, even providing commentary on each of their unique personalities. It was clear that she treated them like her own and understood each of them and their needs. I will definitely be rebooking in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Culver City
April took wonderful care of my Bernese Mountain Dog, Louie, for 5 nights while I was away in Jamaica. She sent regular photo and video updates throughout the stay, which gave me so much peace of mind while traveling. We came home to a clean, well-kept house and a happy, relaxed dog. Highly recommend her — she’s reliable, communicative, and clearly loves animals. We’ll definitely book her again!

Val was so caring, thoughtful, and resourceful with my anxious dog, Lucy. I really appreciated how communicative Val was, and how much time and energy she put into figuring out ways to put Lucy at ease. I would be eager to hire Val again and highly recommend her!
Andriana and Adam were a total dream! We feel so lucky to have found them. They’re newer to the platform, but from the very beginning they were warm, thoughtful, communicative, and clearly wonderful with dogs. They were punctual for our meet-and-greet, asked great questions, and really took the time to understand our girls’ routines, personalities and little quirks. They’re used to raising and training bigger dogs, but were incredibly gentle with our two little ones. Foxy can be sensitive with new people and took to them almost immediately, which made me feel so comfortable. Andriana listened so attentively while I talked through everything, while Adam patiently sat and let the dogs come over, inspect him, and get comfortable at their own pace. It’s always a little hard leaving your dogs with new people, but once I left, I felt completely at ease. While we were away, they sent the cutest photos and updates, followed all of our feeding, walking, and house instructions, and clearly spent time actually getting to know the dogs. Adam even got curious about Foxy’s breed mix, did some research, and sent me what he found, which was so fun and sweet. Nothing unexpected came up during the stay, but after getting to know Andriana and Adam, I have no doubt they would have handled anything calmly and capably. They also took amazing care of our home. Everything was exactly as we left it, and they even washed the towels and duvet cover for us, which was completely unnecessary but so thoughtful. Adam is also an artist and surprised us with a painting of our front porch, a space I love, which I’ll absolutely be framing. It was such a personal and generous gesture and really captured the kind of care they brought to the whole stay. We came home to two very happy, relaxed pups and a perfectly cared-for house. I would welcome them back in a heartbeat and recommend them without hesitation. They’re kind, responsible, attentive people who genuinely love animals, and any pet would be lucky to have them! They were kind, responsible, attentive, and an absolute pleasure to have here.

Kay was incredible with the dogs. They both LOVED her. She was communicative and attentive to their needs. She was able to administer medication to one of my dogs and care for him while he’s injured, and she’s did a great job with my more dog-reactive pup. She was also respectful of our home. We (and the dogs) can’t wait to have her look after them again!

Jennifer is awesome! She recently dog sat for me for 2.5 weeks. My dog is slow to open up to new people, which can make me concerned about leaving him with someone new. But Jennifer took my dog’s quirks in stride. Her calm, cool, and collected demeanor gave me instant confidence that she and my dog would be just fine while I was away. On top of being so good with my dog, Jennifer kept me up-to-speed with daily check ins and pictures, and left my house clean and tidy when I returned from my trip. Overall 10/10 I highly recommend Jennifer and will be a repeat customer!

Kansas took great care of Teddy during the five days I was gone for and went above and beyond than what I requested; I could tell Teddy really appreciated it as did I! She was also great about sending updates, and I felt at ease knowing that Teddy loved spending time with Kansas.

Mary was an absolute gem! She swooped in last minute for a house stay with my dog Rocco. He loved her the second she stepped in the door and she took incredible care of him. Would absolutely use her again. She was communicative, thorough and clearly has an innate kindness that animals can immediately sense!

Brennen was fantastic with my two dogs. I received daily updates and photos for my large German Shepard mix and my little terrier mix 7 month old puppy. Upon returning home after over a week away our house was cleaner than when we left it, even the sheets and towels were washed. And more importantly, I know my dogs were well taken care of and I pretty sure they miss him. Highly recommend him to everyone! Thanks Brennen!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Culver City on Rover is $70 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Culver City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Culver City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Culver City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
