“Thank goodness for Adam. After our initial pet sitter fell through at the last minute for a holiday weekend Adam was available on a moments notice to watch our dog and two cats and even do a meet and greet beforehand as well. He’s was responsive, reliable and constantly sending updates and pictures. So we knew we left our pets in good hands. We returned to a clean and tidy home and happy and safe pets and we couldn’t be more appreciative. We would definitely book Adam again.”

“Natalia was awesome! She took great care of our pup while we were out for a few hours. She sent us pictures and updates and our little girl seemed to love her! She was very patient with us figuring out the app, was willing to come last minute, and was punctual in her arrival. We greatly appreciate her help with our baby and would recommend her to anyone!”

“Kimberly is the absolute best! She is so caring, sweet, and responsible! She also keeps me updated by providing updates with pictures/videos of my fur baby! Thank you Kimberly for everything! ♥️”

“Katherine did an amazing job looking after my old cat. I thought Dooney might hide for at least a little while but he didn’t hide at all. He quickly warmed up to Katherine and didn’t want her to leave. I appreciate all the time she spent hanging out with him and keeping him company while I was gone.”

“Georgina was absolutely exceptional while caring for our dog, Kobe, during our 13-day trip. From start to finish, she went above and beyond in every way. She carefully administered Kobe’s medication, followed all of our instructions to the letter, and treated him with so much love and attention—it gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Beyond pet care, Georgina took incredible care of our home as well. She watered our plants, brought in the mail, and managed the garbage—everything was spotless and perfectly maintained when we returned. Her attention to detail is truly unmatched. What stood out most was her communication. She kept us consistently updated with messages and lots of photos, which made being away so much easier. We always felt in the loop and confident that everything was being handled beautifully. Georgina is responsible, thoughtful, and incredibly thorough. We feel so lucky to have found her and she will absolutely be our go-to sitter moving forward. Highly, highly recommend!”

“Jade has provided consistent and reliable care for our pup—always and time and communicative. We really appreciate how engaged she is when sitting, and the daily reports (with awesome pics)”

“Shenelle took such good care of our girl during the holiday! Our dog, Rory, hurt her leg the week before our trip so I wanted to make sure she had good support while we were gone. Shenelle was amazing and sent us pictures and updates. We will be booking with her again!”

“Wow… what can we say. Tommy is the definition of “above and beyond care”. He took the time to listen to our needs with our two dogs - one a rambunctious, high energy larger mix, and one a smaller, older, slower-paced mix. Before sitting, he took the time to meet with us and get to know each pup, and on the job, he spent wonderful individualized time with each dog, playing with them, giving them affection, and paying special attention. Communication was top notch. We are very picky and sensitive to our pups’ needs and we returned to find them calm and happy. Cannot say enough positive things. We will be re-booking with Tommy in the future. This is a very personalized, special sitter who knows his stuff!”

About: Do you love to travel but hate leaving your pets behind? As a fellow anxious pet parent, my goal is to help you spend more relaxing and less time worrying during your time away. I am new to Rover, but I'm also certified in Pet First Aid, attentive to details, and decent at capturing cute photos of your pet. I believe that it takes a fellow cat lover to understand the needs of a cat owner and their cat. I'd love to meet your best friend! I offer time slots in the morning and at night, ideal for pets who eat twice a day. I am also available overnight for pets who need a little more company while you are away. I understand that it can be a large leap of faith to trust a stranger in your home with your pets. I will always do my best to honor and deserve that trust with transparency, updates, asking questions, and providing an in-person meet and greet in your home prior to our first booking to go over details.
“Becca is amazing! My new puppy was in such great hands and it gave me such peace of mind while out at dinner. She sent updates and was so incredibly friendly. Thank you again!!”

“Emily is a delight! I left my dogs for in home overnights for 3 days and I could not be happier. Not only were they cared for, they were loved...they were showered with attention: cuddling and play. I have only used Emily before for walking, which was great and the dogs so happy when she comes, but this quality of care eased my concern for overnights. I cannot recommend her highly enough!!”

“Chelsea went above and beyond to take care of Winston and Miso! Not only did she check in frequently, but she shared tons of photos and videos, and even did training with our pup. Winston can be a handful, and we felt at ease knowing Chelsea was watching after him. We would happily trust her to take care of our little ones next time we are away! Thank you so much, Chelsea!”

“Daisy was just wonderful. She took the time to come meet the girls and to see what the walk is like with a senior pup, she was kind and gentle and loving with both bunny (which was new for her,) and pup. Daisy was communicative, sent pictures, and was not afraid to ask for clarification when she had questions - something I so appreciate. I felt such confidence leaving both my girls and my home in her hands. She is great!!”

“Joanne is always great! Highly recommend. She is super detail oriented, kind, gentle with the doggies and punctual. She is the best! She even arrived at 745am to go through medications with me. Thank you joannne!”

“Erin was great! Super communicative throughout the booking which we really appreciated. It was great to get regular updates on how things were going and what they had been up to. We had confidence that our animals were in great hands and we would absolutely book with Erin again!”

“Lauren is fantastic! She responded so quickly to a last minute request we had, came by the next day to visit the pets for a meet and greet, and then stayed with them the next night while we were out. She is very friendly, punctual, intuitive and easygoing. Our dog was very comfortable with her to say the least, and our cat who is normally quite shy even came out of hiding while she was there. We are grateful Lauren could come by and are looking forward to hopefully having her back soon!”

About: Having a dog and 2 cats as a kid was the best childhood! I am home most of the day so I have lots of time to walk and play with your pup! I live with my boyfriend who also loves animals. I have been freelance dog sitting/walking for the last year through friends but looking for more furry friends here! Send me a message so we can talk more about you and your pet’s needs I work from home doing a part time job so I am mainly a home body. I am based in North Hollywood and generally service Noho, Burbank, Toluca Lake, Studio City and parts of Sherman Oaks I don’t accept animals from multiple households at once for my safety and theirs. I have multiple screen doors where they can safely watch the world outside at all the people and dogs who might pass by. I can also offer daytime sitting in someone’s home as long as my laptop and internet access is allowed!

Most pet sitters are great with dogs, but not all of them really know how to handle cats. Alyssa was amazing with my feisty cat. She gave her medication every single day and spent plenty of quality time with my cats, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. If you’re a fellow cat mom, I can’t recommend Alyssa enough. She really knows how to deal with cats! 😍🙏

Jaime was so considerate and my picky cat loved her. She communicated wonderfully and was great about giving updates. She was also a great guest while staying in my home and took extra care of everything so the apartment was perfect when I arrived back from my trip.

Joanne stayed with our cats, Charlie and Bear, for a week while we were traveling in Europe, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She was incredibly attentive and sent thoughtful daily updates with photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were out of the country. She was wonderful about communicating, asking questions when needed, and making sure both cats received the individual care and attention they needed. She was especially patient and caring while helping our newer cat continue to adjust, and it was clear she truly took the time to understand their personalities and make them feel comfortable. When we came home, our place was in excellent condition and our cats were clearly happy and well cared for. We’re so grateful for the love and attention she gave them and would absolutely book Joanne again. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and caring sitter!

Katie was absolutely great!! She sent updates, asked questions, and took such great care of our two dogs and home! Upon meeting for the first time, both boys instantly took a liking to her which put our minds at ease. Would highly recommend booking with Katie and we will definitely be rebooking in the future :)!

Leah is an outstanding dog sitter. She stayed with our dog for almost 2 weeks and developed a strong, loving bond with our fur baby. Our dog needs lots of reassurance and patience and Leah went over and beyond in providing that! Leah sent us adorable pictures and stayed constantly in touch while we were away. She attended to all of our needs as well as our dog’s high demands! I highly recommend Leah as a dog sitter while you are away and as a positive, responsible person to take care of your pet and home!! Yvette L
wow! what can i say other than thank god for Jaislyn. We had the worst travel day with our flights getting constantly delayed. Jaislyn was so patient with me and was able to extend her stay another night to watch the dogs. The dogs were so happy to have her and will def be using her again

FAQs for House Sitting - Studio City
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Studio City on Rover is $66.15 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 13,509 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Studio City. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Studio City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Studio City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Studio City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Studio City. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
