“Wow! Nicole came by, asked very good questions and bonded fast with our clan. She has GREAT energy and we immediately trusted her in our home with our best fur friends. We came home to a sparkling clean house, after a relaxing weekend away. She sent cute pics and updates. We’d love to have her stay with our pack again. So grateful!”

“Gaby was amazing! Great communication, so kind, and sent lots of updates and photos. I returned to a relaxed and happy dog and a very clean apartment which is always appreciated 😊 Would highly recommend - thank you for everything Gaby!”

“Thomas was fantastic, Very easy to work with and communicate with. He sent pictures and updates everyday. My dog struggles on walks and Thomas really handled the routine and instructions with ease. He spent more than enough time cuddling and hanging out with my dog. Absolutely hope to work with him again.”
“Katherine was amazing! She took wonderful care of our beloved doggies who might now like her better than us. My older dog had several medicines, and she was a total pro. 💯 recommend, and we’ll be using her again!”

“Arlondriah was amazing with Johnny! He is a bit skiddish and requires insulin injections for his diabetes, and she pulled it off like a rock star. Can't wait to use her again :)”

“Elizabeth was amazing with our anxious pup, Maple. She was warm, kind, and attentive, and put our minds at ease while we were away for 24 hours on the 4th of July! We are so grateful that Elizabeth swooped in to help us out on one of the busiest and most stressful days for pup owners, and could not recommend her enough!! ♥️”

“Cynthia was fantastic—so easy to communicate with, punctual, and incredibly gentle with my pup. She’s also just so kind and lovely. She took such great care of my pup, you can tell she really loves what she does. Porcini absolutely adored her! I’ll definitely be booking Cynthia again!”

“Tom was exceptional in every way. So thoughtful in every way. Not to mention an amazing photographer! Thank you again for taking extra special care of Bella. Forever grateful. See you next time!🙏🏼♥️”

“Dani is a tremendous sitter who shows so much compassion and love for the critters under her care - I would not hesitate to hire her again to watch my kitties. I had to leave town on short notice for one night and two full days, and Dani came over to my place and worked from my home while looking after my two cats plus my feral foster kitten. My cats are used to having my partner or myself around working from home and they do not do well left for extended periods of time - plus, I was really worried about leaving my foster kitten for two nights, especially because she is kept separate from the rest of my cats right now, so I was looking for someone special. As soon as I met Dani, it was clear that she had a good rapport with animals and that her prior background in rescue would make her the perfect fit. I truly did not worry while my cats were in her care, she was communicative, professional and caring, and the cats appeared well taken care of and happy in all of the videos / photos sent to me while I was traveling. I would absolutely hire Dani again and cannot recommend her enough!”
“Olivia was friendly, attentive, and patient with our dog! She was easy to coordinate with and really helped us out on short notice. We got consistent updates and she left the house in great shape. I highly recommend her and am grateful she was able to take care of our boy.”

About: I've been caring for dogs my entire life and have experience with all sorts of breeds, especially working dogs. Growing up with German Shepherds taught me how to confidently handle dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. Friends and family have always trusted me to care for their pets because they know I'll treat them like my own. I provide plenty of photo and video updates, stick to your pet's routine, and tailor my care to their individual needs—whether that's playtime, long walks, cuddles, or extra patience. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable, safe, and happy every step of the way. 🐾 My schedule is flexible, which allows me to provide reliable care throughout the day. I’m available for morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits, and I can accommodate last-minute requests whenever possible. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight care, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. I understand that trusting someone with your pet and your home is a big decision. I always respect my clients’ homes, carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, walking routines, and any special requests. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is to keep your pet’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible.

“Caroline was fantastic! I had to head out of town for a few days and Jessica took excellent care of Doudou & Maomao. She sent tons of pictures and updates and kept my high energy pups entertained. I will definitely use her again.”

About: I grew up in rural Texas with 6 dogs (German Shepard, Bassett hound, chihuahua, dachshund and more) as well as cats and horses. I love and have cared for animals since childhood, and routinely act as dog/cat hotel well my friends are out if town for work/vacation. I work from home as a composer. My ears need frequent breaks to stay fresh, and so I take myself on frequent walks. It’s better with pet company :) Because my office is in my own apartment, feeding and pets and attention of all varieties is no problem. NO yard. This is a one bed apartment in WeHo. Frequent walks are a given, but please take into consideration your own pets needs before reaching out. I work from Home but will frequently need to attend meetings and session outside of home. Dogs with severe separation anxiety are not a good fit! This is a one bedroom apartment with no other pets or people. So it’s great for dogs and cats who are not accustomed to other pets. It’s not great for dogs who are accustomed to a yard.
About: Having grown up with pets and providing care to various types of pets since I was a young boy, it all comes naturally to me. Summers with Grandma were spent taking care of her cats, dogs, squirrels and birds. One of the best gifts she left me with and I will always cherish. I work from home for the most part and am currently only working part time. My schedule provides for flexibility most days and weekends/overnights are usually never a problem. Having had pets all my life and having watched over the pets of others, I understand that the needs of our pets come first, however also respect and hold in high regards the need for safety and discretion when trusted in a client’s home.
“Monika was very communicative and sent regular updates and photos. I was grateful Monika agreed to cat sit last minute and felt confident leaving my cat in her care.”

Additionally, Valentin was incredibly respectful of our home and took great care while staying here. Could not recommend him enough!”

“So communicative. Even helped clean my house without me asking just to make the environment nicer for my pets. 10/10. Such a doll and my animals loved her. She was consistent with walks and lots of love. She also took lots of photos!!”

“TJ was great! He sent us lots of pictures of our cat and dog while he was watching them. We came back and he had even cleaned the apartment! He went above and beyond while watching our animals and we’re so grateful!”

Mary was an absolute gem! She swooped in last minute for a house stay with my dog Rocco. He loved her the second she stepped in the door and she took incredible care of him. Would absolutely use her again. She was communicative, thorough and clearly has an innate kindness that animals can immediately sense!

Christine house-sat and took care of our dogs and she was amazing, she took great care of our two dogs, it was easy to sense she cares a lot during the meet and greet. She was really good at communicating throughout her stay and sent a lot of pictures which we appreciated, highly recommended and we will definitely ask her to sit again whenever we need it.

Dani always takes wonderful care of my animals, and I feel like I can actually relax when I travel because of the quality of care provided. She’s very attentive and easy to work with, and it’s obvious that she really loves animals and cares about doing right by them.

Gillian is the best. She stayed at our place for a full week while we were out of town and took care of Oofy and Bruni like they were her own. She sent tons of pictures. She was great about checking in, answering questions, and responding right away if we reached out. The house was spotless when we got home, and both dogs were happy, calm, and clearly well cared for. No adjustment period, no weirdness, they just seemed like they’d had a great week. We’ll absolutely be booking her again and would recommend her to anyone.

Mia, is an absolute gem of a pet and house sitter! My dog Sadie liked her right away! She stayed at my home to watch her and look after way too many plants, and I couldn't be happier with her care. She sent reassuring updates and left my house spotlessly clean. It brought me total peace of mind knowing both Sadie and my home were in such capable, trustworthy hands. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, kind and qualified sitter.

Anna was amazing! She took excellent care of my 8mo old australian shepherd puppy! I really felt like she was caring for my pet as if it was her own. Anna followed directions to the T, and provided picture updates. This was my first vacation away from my puppy, and I felt relieved knowing she was in excellent and caring hands. I could not recommend Anna enough! Thank you so much Anna!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in West Hollywood on Rover is $64.2 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred West Hollywood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in West Hollywood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Hollywood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Hollywood. On Rover:

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
