Nicole was absolutely wonderful looking after our pup Alfie while he was recovering from surgery. She showed up early, was incredibly sweet, and kept us updated with cute photos of Alfie looking happy and relaxed. We felt totally at ease knowing he was in such good hands. Everything was perfect—we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!

About: I was born and raised in France, surrounded by animals, as my parents were huge animals lovers (to the point where I sometimes thought they preferred them to their own kids). For several years I couldn't have an pet of my own because I traveled a lot, but today I live with my wife (who had her 19-year-old cat and a 30 -year-old donkey when we met), and we now have Frankie, a 4-year-old cat we first fostered for a few months before adopting him. We're also a foster family for shelter cats and dogs. I started out helping my wife (who has been a professional pet sitter for 3 years), and I've now been pet sitting on my own for a year. My priority is the animal's well-being: I adapt to what they want and need, and I never force anything. Some of them need a lot of affection, others just want company, and others simply want someone to feed them and take them out... I love to be that person, whatever the situation calls for. Two little extras: coming from a video background, I love taking nice photos of the pets I look after, and I'll happily share them with you. Being French, I can speak to your pets in French, so they can pick up the language (and maybe teach you later) ;) Pets always come first in my schedule. I'm sometimes unavailable on Sunday mornings (I'm currently working on freeing up that time), but I'm fully available the rest of the time. I can also stay at your place (for one night or several days) if needed. My pet-sitting philosophy is that caring for animals happens on two levels: 1 - What I need to learn from the pet's owner, and honoring the trust they place in me, by: * Arriving and leaving on time * Following the instructions I'm given (food, sleep, walks) * Meeting the pet's needs (playtime, walks, or simply giving them space...) * Communicating any detail that seems concerning to me 2 - What I need to learn from the animal itself, in order to: * Earn their trust * Build a bond between us * Make each of my visits a truly enjoyable moment for the pet

Gaby was amazing! We were nervous leaving Malibu with someone for the first time since she’s still in her puppy training. When Gaby arrived, Malibu was FULL of excitement and Holly warmed up to her right away. Gaby understood our anxieties over leaving our pups even if just a few hours and provided updates throughout easing any initial anxieties. We’re excited to have Gaby come stay with our pups again.

Thank you so much! Not only was my request super last moment, it was fairly untraditional. Murray’s an older dog who needs a caring and vigilant caregiver. John stayed a bit later than originally planned because I was running late. It is honestly a huge relief to have someone responsible look after my best friend while I’m at work.

Dani is a tremendous sitter who shows so much compassion and love for the critters under her care - I would not hesitate to hire her again to watch my kitties. I had to leave town on short notice for one night and two full days, and Dani came over to my place and worked from my home while looking after my two cats plus my feral foster kitten. My cats are used to having my partner or myself around working from home and they do not do well left for extended periods of time - plus, I was really worried about leaving my foster kitten for two nights, especially because she is kept separate from the rest of my cats right now, so I was looking for someone special. As soon as I met Dani, it was clear that she had a good rapport with animals and that her prior background in rescue would make her the perfect fit. I truly did not worry while my cats were in her care, she was communicative, professional and caring, and the cats appeared well taken care of and happy in all of the videos / photos sent to me while I was traveling. I would absolutely hire Dani again and cannot recommend her enough!

We had Steph house/pet sit for our senior dog and cat during the holidays. Genuinely cannot recommend her highly enough, Steph was extremely communicative, kind, and accommodating to our pets. Having a senior dog with separation anxiety has given me some separation anxiety of my own, and Steph made me feel so at ease with tons of photos and updates. On top of all that, our place was spotless when we got home and it’s clear Steph took great care of our space. She’s the best!!!

Valeriya kept my four big dogs for five days and she did an amazing job! My dogs range from age 3 1/2 to 14 years old. Each dog has a very different personality and Valeriya handled each one perfectly. There were eye drops and various medication that two of the dogs needed multiple times a day. She understood and kept them healthy and safe. I would highly recommend Valeriya to take care of your dogs. She also loves kitties. Two of my dogs followed Valeriya around all day. She's a dog whisperer! Don't pass her by let Valeriya take care of your fur babies. I'll be using her again!

Mikayla went above and beyond while housesitting for me. My dog required medication to be given to her twice a day and Mikayla not only ensured she got it but provided frequent updates throughout the stay so I knew my dog was doing okay. She brought in packages, ensured the place was tidy before she left and offered to check back on the girls if my travel schedule got delayed. I truly was able to rest easy during my time away knowing Mikayla was taking care of not only my animals but my home.

Ali stayed with my anxious cat twice and did such a great job following my (excessive) instructions. She calmed him down through a stressful reaction to me leaving, and also followed an enrichment schedule, played with him, gave him his inhaler and anxiety meds on a schedule. I came home to a very happy well-cared for kitty. I’m grateful for Ali taking such good care of him and will definitely be booking her again!

Tommy was outstanding. We have a big household of pets and he handled them all with love and care. He consistently sent updates to us throughout our trip to ensure we had peace of mind knowing they were well cared for. We have mixed ages with different energy levels/needs, and he handled them all exceptionally well. We did in home care for our pets and the house remained cleaned while we were gone, and there were printed pictures he took of our fur babies on the counter. A nice surprise to come home too. I highly recommend and trust Tommy to not only stay in our home, but watch our pets any time! I will absolutely book with him again, and will likely change dates of trips to match his availability rather than book with someone else. Peace of mind is priceless for me when on vacation.

FAQs for House Sitting - West Hollywood

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in West Hollywood on Rover is $64.2 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 13,847 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across West Hollywood. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred West Hollywood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in West Hollywood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Hollywood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Hollywood. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
