“I was anxious about hiring someone to watch the cats for the first time. Robbie made it easy and stress-free. He was great at communicating updates on the Kitties while I was away. My really shy cat warmed up to Robbie. He was great. I'll be hiring him the next time I'm away.”

“Sidney was wonderful. Our cat, Goliad, is very shy and fussy about which humans she interacts with, but she took to Sidney right away. Sidney was punctual and very caring. I recommend her highly.”

“Fearless, caring, dependable, and not afraid to call reinforcements when she needs it. She can be trusted with your pets, trust me, we have four. They were rascals just to say the least of it. One of them was feral actually, swipe her a few times, even got her neck, but she came back the next day with battle scars and an unwavering tenacity to get the job done. She worked with others well to provide our cats, insulin, food, and love. We were quite worried actually and thought of coming home early from our trip, but, to our pleasant surprise we were able to stay the full length of our weekend trip. She was even so thoughtful as to leave babies gifts, which was not necessary at all! Would definitely use her in the future, I would recommend this sitter to anybody who has babies that are in need of attention and care, with the detail and consistency that ensures the safe and relaxing cat sitting experience!”

“Satoia took really good care of my Snickles! She kept me updated and sent pictures and video, which gave me peace of mind that Snickles was in good hands. Snickles has been finicky about taking her medication but Satoia did some quick thing and found a way to get her to take them, which I am so grateful for. I highly recommend Satoia to look after your pet!”
“Elizabeth is amazing! She does an amazing job every single time she takes care of my dogs! She’s a great communicator, always does a Rover Card for me and always snaps a couple cute pics of the pups! Thanks Elizabeth!”

“Michelle was great, communicative, flexible, reported back on the kitties so we were well in the loop the entire time we were away. Will absolutely rebook with her the next time we go away. Thank you Michelle!!”

“Nicole was the absolute best sitter ever!! She was so loving, and kind with my cat and kept me so updated and sent so many videos and photos. I was so nervous to leave her but Nicole made it so seamless!! Thank you Nicole I will always use you to watch Fritz when I travel!! :)”

“Annika has been extremely reliable with helping us on the drop in visits when our schedules at work are crazy. We always feel confident that our pups will be safe and loved when she drops in. She also keeps us updated during the stay which is always a plus and gives us the peace of mind that the pups are ok! Thank you Annika!”

“Georgia was wonderful. She was very communicative throughout. Our two cats are both very shy and within just two days she was able to get them to open up. I hope we'll be able to work with her again in the future!”

“Very nice lady! She kept checking in with me sending me pictures and did everything how I asked! Will definitely keep her as my dog sitter. I felt so comfortable. Thank Sydney! My dogs loved you”

“Stefano took wonderful care of my cat, Dylan, during a two-week trip, and I came home to a happy, relaxed, and well-cared-for kitty. Dylan is currently adjusting to the recent loss of his littermate brother, so it was especially important to me that he have someone kind, attentive, and patient checking in on him while I was away. Stefano was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about Dylan’s well-being. He sent updates, made sure all of Dylan’s needs were met, and gave me peace of mind throughout my trip. It’s obvious he genuinely enjoys animals, and Dylan seemed very comfortable with him. I would absolutely book Stefano again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.”

About: Having grown up with pets and providing care to various types of pets since I was a young boy, it all comes naturally to me. Summers with Grandma were spent taking care of her cats, dogs, squirrels and birds. One of the best gifts she left me with and I will always cherish. I work from home for the most part and am currently only working part time. My schedule provides for flexibility most days and weekends/overnights are usually never a problem. Having had pets all my life and having watched over the pets of others, I understand that the needs of our pets come first, however also respect and hold in high regards the need for safety and discretion when trusted in a client’s home.
About: Hi there, I’m a freshly graduated college student looking to make a little extra cash as I navigate this next chapter of my life, what better way to find joy during this uncertain time than spending time with your fur babies. I love people as much as I love animals, communication is my top priority. I want to make sure you feel as comfortable with me as they do! I have a dog, his name is Leo! He’s 16 years old and has lots of tummy troubles, I’m very used to taking extra care to make sure all of his needs are met. I will do everything in my power to make sure that your pets are safe and well taken care of while you’re away doing what you’ve gotta do! I’m pretty flexible, much like most people in LA I work weird inconsistent and flexible hours which makes it easy for me to come look after your fur babies while you do what you’ve gotta do! I’m a clean freak, I’ll leave your place better than I found it. I also love taking photos and sending lots of updates. Whether I’m just taking them for a walk or I’m looking after your furry friend for multiple days you’ll always be in the know. My dog is incredibly old, so I know how to handle senior babies who need a little extra TLC!
“If I could give Lorinda a million stars I would. As an anxious cat mom my mind was completely at ease with Lorinda’s in depth updates, kindness, professionalism and respect for my home. I returned to two very happy, relaxed kitties. Could not be more thankful!”

“Olivia has been amazing with my very demanding and anxious Shiba. Throughout the last 1.5 years, we are moving and I can’t imagine finding someone as good as her in my new place, she is amazing! Super communicative and reliable so if you’re looking for someone who’s going to love and care for your pet as much as you do go with Olivia! 🐾🖤”

Nate was great with our kitty, Bernie! Our usual sitter was out of town & we needed to find someone else in time pinch. Nate came by the next day after reaching out and I knew Bernie would be in great hands and the meet & greet gave great peace of mind. Would recommend and book Nate again. Thank you!

Hi Lindsey! Thank you so much again for taking such wonderful care of our doggies. 🐾❤️ I’m so grateful we found you! You were dependable, right on time as promised, trustworthy, and truly made me feel at ease knowing they were in good hands. You were absolutely perfect! The doggies clearly enjoyed having you too, and if we ever need a sitter again, you will definitely be my first choice. Thank you for everything, and I hope to see you again soon! Best, Stormey R.

Lorinda is amazing & truly a life saver. She is so lovely with the cats, clear and timely communicator, went above and beyond on making sure everything was taken care of and spent extra time playing with and making sure our cats were well loved. We are so grateful!

Michael and Lily are the best! They’ve been sitting for our cats for years at this point and we just moved and we’re so thrilled that they agreed to keep looking after them; it made us feel much more comfortable leaving those kitties in our new house knowing these two would be looking after them! Can’t recommend them highly enough if you want people to care for, play with and comfort your kitties while you’re away!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
