“Colette and my two cats hit it off instantly. It's easy to see why animals love her! She's thoughtful, responsive, consistent, and kind. Thanks so much for taking care of them Colette! Koko”

“Elizabeth is amazing! She does an amazing job every single time she takes care of my dogs! She’s a great communicator, always does a Rover Card for me and always snaps a couple cute pics of the pups! Thanks Elizabeth!”

“I was anxious about hiring someone to watch the cats for the first time. Robbie made it easy and stress-free. He was great at communicating updates on the Kitties while I was away. My really shy cat warmed up to Robbie. He was great. I'll be hiring him the next time I'm away.”

“Nicole was really great with my blind kitten Bonnie! They became fast friends and played the entire time. Nicole is a great communicator and listened/paid attention to all of the details given for my special kitten which is great for an anxious pet parent like me.”

“Georgia was AMAZING! Took great care of my kitty (even though my cat is shy and was hiding during every visit!). Followed all instructions and asked really great and caring questions. You can tell she loves animals and has taken care of all kinds of them! I highly recommend her and would 100% book her again!!”
“Fearless, caring, dependable, and not afraid to call reinforcements when she needs it. She can be trusted with your pets, trust me, we have four. They were rascals just to say the least of it. One of them was feral actually, swipe her a few times, even got her neck, but she came back the next day with battle scars and an unwavering tenacity to get the job done. She worked with others well to provide our cats, insulin, food, and love. We were quite worried actually and thought of coming home early from our trip, but, to our pleasant surprise we were able to stay the full length of our weekend trip. She was even so thoughtful as to leave babies gifts, which was not necessary at all! Would definitely use her in the future, I would recommend this sitter to anybody who has babies that are in need of attention and care, with the detail and consistency that ensures the safe and relaxing cat sitting experience!”

“Annika has been extremely reliable with helping us on the drop in visits when our schedules at work are crazy. We always feel confident that our pups will be safe and loved when she drops in. She also keeps us updated during the stay which is always a plus and gives us the peace of mind that the pups are ok! Thank you Annika!”

“My cat is a geriatric, skittish, half-feral ball of fluff, and it has been hard over the years to find someone to take care of her when we go out of town. This was our second time to book Sidney and she took excellent care our of cat and even managed to befriend her this time after a few days! It is a huge relief knowing I can leave our cat in good hands. Thank you, Sidney!”

“DJ is my top choice for pet sitters. He is great with my cats and super nice to me. I'm not a huge fan of leaving the house and DJ helps me have one less worry when I go out of town.”
“We really enjoyed having Sydney look after our dog, Kona. She kept in contact with us throughout the visit, walked her, watered her, and gave her belly rubs and pats. We'll definitely use Sydney again.”

“Satoia was the perfect sitter for my two cats! She checked in right around 10am both days that I was away which is just what I had requested on the app, and she sent me tons of great photos and even videos playing with the cats and spending quality time with them. When I got home I could tell they were healthy and happy. Very grateful for Satoia!”

About: Humble brag incoming: I'm a dog's kinda person. I just vibe with them and we are often drawn to each other when I'm out walking around Los Angeles. I will hear a dog parent say things like "My dog never likes other people." or a dog will spot me from afar and refuse to move until I say Hello. It's happened so often, that I'm convinced I was a dog in a past life. Truly, there is no feeling better then building a connection with a dog; When they are excited to see you, there is no better positive affirmation. I've had dogs since my teen years in the 90s and cats since I left for college in the 2000s. I love getting to know cats and earning their trust. Im always hopeful for a head butt, but I respect their boundaries always. I'm looking forward to meeting your dogs and cats. Tell em I said Hi. I'm available to watch your fur babies anytime. Check with me if you need anyone for an early walk for your pup or an evening visit to feed your cat if you can't make it home. My kitty roommate is self-sufficient at home, so staying with your pet overnight is very doable. I will come to your home to care for your animals in their home environment. First, I will always be a calming, kind presence to your fur baby. Second, I enjoy getting to give them a lil workout. Dogs need that movement to feel normal and I love being there for it! You tell me if the walk should be brief and in the neighborhood or if your dog likes to hike, I offer that, too. Panting dogs after a walk are my favorite. As for kitties, I Approach With Caution and as a roommate to a feline myself, I know some will take a minute to let their guard down. I know how to read body language of animals and I take every step possible to make sure they are at ease, well fed and cared for.

Open to sitting, walking, playing, anything you need! Excited for this opportunity. I live in a gated apartment building. I live alone. I am trustworthy and responsible when entering clients homes as well. I have my own car that I park I a garage as well
About: I've been taking care of our canine friends since the age of ten. I truly enjoy taking them for walks, caring for them, and for those that can taking them on adventures. Every dog I've had lived a long, full life so I have significant experience with senior dogs and their needs. This includes adjusting the walk routine, administering medicine and making special accommodations for their unique needs I have an adjustable schedule that I can tailor to my clients needs, if that means more one on one time I can dedicate the needed time for that. I have two friendly dogs and a very friendly cat, that have access to a fenced in property and a grassy area for lounging. I also have quick access to Runyon Canyon for hiking.
“Olivia was everything I could have asked for and more in a dog walker!! I had myself backed into a tight corner and she absolutely saved me and Makalu from much more misery. Olivia was highly communicative and always willing to work with me on timing not to mention my dog absolutely LOVED her. I'll never use another rover and if you're looking for the same things I was you've found your match.”

About: I've had dogs my whole life and have spent years pet sitting and walking dogs for neighbors, friends, and family. I know how much peace of mind matters when you're trusting someone with your dog's routine. I can handle walks (short strolls or long hikes), trips to the dog park, and overnight stays in your house or mine. I'm also available for vet visits with detailed notes if you're busy. My goal is simple: give your dog the exercise and socialization that fits your comfort level and routine, done exactly the way you want it done. I work from home with a flexible schedule so i’m able to care for your pet as works best for your schedule. I’m also available for early mornings or evenings if you need support in off hours. I have a pet safe home with a very friendly miniature schnauzer named oscar that loves other dogs. I can administer medication and also caer for multiple pets at once.
“Dani was such an amazing pet sitter to my bunny! She was super communicative, I got constant updates and photos each visit! She clearly took care of my bunny like she was her own, it made traveling feel so much better! On top of that she was easy to talk to and I trusted her instantly in my home, I will definitely book with her again!”

“Lorinda is so fantastic! After my last sitter moved, I was hesitant about trying anyone new, but within a single visit, Lorinda eased all my anxieties about leaving my baby for a week. She’s thorough, communicative, and genuinely cares and my little girl Pixee 🤍 I couldn’t ask for a better sitter for her, and I could tell from day 1 that Pixee loved her! Very happy that we found Lorinda and will be having her back :)”

Rosalyn has watched my cats twice and I would enlist her help a hundred more times. She is friendly, communicative, and takes the time to understand the personalities, quirks, and any special needs of the pets. Her daily messages capture all the important details but she goes above and beyond to keep me in the loop. 100% recommend!

We love Alienor but more importantly our 4 cats do! We’ve booked Alienor a couple of times now and felt so confident knowing she was taking care of our babies while we were out of town for our wedding weekend. She understands each of our 4 cats’ unique personalities and provides such personalized care and attention. She’ll always be the first person we ask when we need cat sitting!

Second time booking Stefano and he was just as great as the first. Goose and Ducky are shy cats who normally hide from anyone new, but they clearly remembered him and settled in fast. He kept up the daily photos and updates while I was in Texas with family, which made the whole trip easier. Everything was tidy when I got home and both cats were happy and well fed. If you have shy or anxious cats, book him. We’ll keep doing it.

Mia is a life saver. Booked way last minute and she was able to help out with my two bengal boys. They really enjoyed her company and playtime. I can tell how the energy was by how the boys respond to us coming home afterwards and they were totally chill. Mia moved to the top of the sitter list and takes awesome photos and she asked questions as needed which was appreciated and even offered to buy new toys for them since she wasn’t aware how feral the boys get with their toys. She’s a delight and so good with pets and a good human highly recommended.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
