Saige was absolutely wonderful with our pets. From the very first visit, she was kind, responsible, and incredibly attentive. She followed all instructions perfectly and took excellent care of our cats, including Kaito, who has special medical needs. We truly appreciated how well she documented each visit, it gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our pets were clearly comfortable and happy with her, which means everything to us. We would 100% trust Saige again and would be more than happy to have her care for our pets in the future. Highly recommend!

About: I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, from young puppies and kittens to senior pets. I'm comfortable with daily pet care responsibilities, including feeding, cleaning up after pets, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment, administering oral medications and flea treatments, and providing plenty of attention and companionship. What sets me apart is my hands-on experience with a wide variety of pets and situations. I've even assisted pregnant dogs and cats during labor and birth, which has taught me to stay calm, attentive, and responsive when animals need extra care. I'm also always eager to learn and expand my experience with other types of animals. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while giving pet owners peace of mind. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of time to dedicate to pet care and ensure pets receive the attention they deserve. I have a flexible schedule and can often accommodate a variety of care needs, including walks, and drop-in visits. I'm also available on weekends, making it easier to provide care when many pet owners need it most. I do my best to work with each pet owner's schedule and provide reliable, consistent care. At this time, I am unable to host pets in my apartment, but I have experience caring for friends' and family members' pets in their own homes. When caring for pets, I make it a priority to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment where they can relax, play, and feel secure. I carefully follow each pet owner's instructions regarding feeding, medication, exercise, and daily routines to help pets feel as comfortable as possible while their owners are away. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own, ensuring they receive attentive care, companionship, and a safe environment at all times.

About: I grew up surrounded by pets, including two German Shepherds and cats, so I’m very comfortable with large, active breeds and senior dogs. I’ve managed everything from puppy energy to the specialized care needed for older pets (my own dog lived to 14). I’m reliable, patient, and will treat your furry friends with the same love and attention I gave my own. I’m a full-time student, but honestly, I study from home most of the time. This means your pup won't be left alone, and I can easily feed them during the day if you are busy at work. I’m also usually home all weekend, so I have plenty of time to hang out and give them my full attention. I usually finish my school on mondays and wednesdays at 3 pm, and on tuesdays, thursdays and fridays at 12 pm! Animals mean a lot to me, and I treat every pet like my own. I'm happy to care for your dogs either at my place or come over to your home, depending on what's best for them. I carefully follow all your rules about routines, love going for long walks, and will make sure they get lots of cuddles and attention.

About: I’ve always lived with cats, my old roommate had a golden retriever and I would watch him all of the time. I’ve also dog sat for different friends over the years and love all furry friends. I’m currently working part time but completely open Friday through Sunday. I have plenty of time after work to check on fur babies as well. Since I have my own cat, I won’t be watching any animals in my own apartment but would always be very respectful coming into your home.

About: I’ve been the go-to dog sitter for my friends for over six years, and they know that when their fur babies are with me, it’s like they’re on their own little vacation! 🏖️🐾 They trust me to provide plenty of snacks, endless affection, long walks, and personalized care tailored to their needs. From short dog walks to house-sitting for three weeks, I’m equipped to handle any situation. I’ve cared for a variety of breeds, including adorable Jack-A-Poos, spirited Shiba Inus, and playful standard Poodles. Living near several dog parks means I can keep up with energetic pups and adventurous dogs! I’m known as the biggest dog lover around, and it would be an absolute honor to take care of your doggo. Just let me know what special care your furry friend needs, and I’m all in! 😊 I have plenty of time during the week to devote to your furry companions, and I’m excited to be part of their routine while you’re away. I understand that every dog has its unique personality, preferences, and routines. I’m great at reading their body language to anticipate their needs. My goal is to keep things comfortable and familiar, ensuring they feel right at home. If your pup has any special requirements—whether it’s for allergies, skin conditions, joint problems, tummy issues, or anxiety—please let me know. I’ll make sure they receive the tailored care they deserve!

About: I am someone that loves dogs so much. I care about the well-being of animals and I'm very attentive. I will always do my best to make sure their needs are met and that includes emotional ones! I used to pet sit throughout college and I fostered a puppy. Now that puppy is with my friend living a happily ever after. 🥰 I work for myself and I make my own schedule. If I'm given a heads up, I can move my schedule accordingly. Each day is a little different for me. I mostly just stay at home though. I am used to going over to someone's apartment to take care of their animals. I respect the home and will always double and triple check that all instructions are followed.

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Los Angeles

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Los Angeles on Rover is $24.42 per visit (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of June 2026, there are 20,162 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Los Angeles. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Los Angeles stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Los Angeles. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
