About: I provide a highly attentive, structured environment where your dog becomes part of the family, ensuring they get everything they need and more. A Welcoming, Social Home: I have a friendly dog who loves company and a daughter who adores dogs, meaning your pet will receive constant affection and socialization. Versatile & Specialized Care: I confidently handle a wide variety of dogs. My experience includes training young pets with positive reinforcement and providing patient, dedicated senior care. Constant Attention: Thanks to a highly flexible schedule, your dog will rarely be left alone and will receive consistent supervision, exercise, and tailored care. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine, as I have a highly flexible schedule and can prioritize walks, exercise, feeding, and check-ins throughout the day and week. This allows me to be reliable with timing, adapt to pets’ needs, and accommodate both recurring care and last-minute requests. I care for pets in my home by following their routine closely so pets feel safe and comfortable in their own environment. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, get proper exercise and enrichment, and receive plenty of attention and affection. I keep the home clean, handle litter or waste, monitor behavior and health, and provide updates so owners feel confident their pets are well cared for while they’re away.
About: I've been around and pet sitting animals for around 6 years. I've helped give medications to my dogs and my sister's cats and I've taken dogs on walks when their owners were out of town. I am currently an unemployed, incoming college student so I have lots of time on my hands! I'm able to work any day from 7am to 9pm. I have reliable transportation so I'm able to visit and take care of pets the same day a visit is booked. I'm more than happy to take dogs on long walks.
“Jessica did a great job! I have a very standoffish cat who warmed up to her instantly. She is very thorough and attentive to detail. I also loved the reports she gave at the end of each visit. I was able to relax on my trip, knowing that my pets were in her care.”

“Shelby checked in on our boy so he wouldn’t be alone too long. She sent pictures while we were out and then when we got home, we could see our pup was safe and happy. I felt she was respectful and caring of our dog and our home. Such a relief! See you again soon!”

About: Hi! I recently graduated from UCSB and have a very flexible schedule this summer before starting my full-time job. I’ve dog sat for family friends, and neighbors over the years and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. I’ve cared for a Maltese for several weeks, looked after a German Shepherd, and watched other small and medium-sized dogs. I’m comfortable following feeding schedules, going on walks, playing with dogs, and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I always try to provide the same level of care and attention they receive at home. I’m also happy to send photo updates so you can feel confident that your pet is in good hands. I have a very flexible schedule and can provide care throughout the day, which means your dog will get plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and companionship. I’m available on weekdays and weekends and can easily adjust to your dog’s normal routine. Since I’m home most of the day, I can make sure your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and never left alone for long periods of time. I live in a spacious townhouse with plenty of room for dogs to relax and move around comfortably. I also have a private porch where dogs can safely spend time outside and enjoy some fresh air. There is a coach outside for them to lay on. I understand that every dog has different needs and routines, so I always follow owner instructions carefully regarding feeding, walks, exercise, and any special care. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and at home while you’re away.
“April is sweet and good at taking care of pets. I trusted her to drop by my home and feed my cats. She is detailed and always notices anything that needs attention in my home. I would recommend her and reach out to her next time!”

About: ***UPDATE! Opening my profile up to new clients again after about a year, as I have some openings! Feel free to reach out with inquiries!*** I have had dogs my entire life, and what can I say — I just love them. I have cared for dogs for 20 years, and even spent a few years training dogs at the American Kennel Club (AKC). I rescued my own pup nearly 10 years ago, and rescued my cat ~5 years ago now-- and have since been equally obsessed with felines. They’re incredibly different animals, with their own way of looking at the world, both of which I respect. Over the years, I have walked and cared for many family's, friends’ and colleagues' dogs and cats of all ages, before opening my network to my neighborhood. ***Key Notes: - Currently, I am open for dog walking and dog/cat drop-ins. Please see all service options (including add-ons) in my profile and feel free to reach out with questions! - For 60-minute walks, depending on location, weather and your comfort level, I can take your pup(s) for a hike or trail-run nearby! - I have a range of experience, from energetic and exercise-craving dogs to elderly pups who require gentle care and a patient, slower speed. I love providing care for either side of the spectrum, and all in between. The bottom line is: the safety of your dog/dogs is my top priority. I know how it is. I’ve used Rover and other services for my dog and cat, and I understand how it feels to entrust another person with your fur-kiddo. I am patient and will give you whatever you need to feel comfortable with me as a caregiver — from answering questions, to a meet-and-greet (in person or on zoom), to picture updates all along the way. Every dog and cat is different, and I want to know what makes your beloved pet unique so I can provide him/her with the best care. I’m a good communicator — from medications to leash/sidewalk politics to triggers and everything in between, you can rest assured we will be on the same page. I have experience caring for all shapes and sizes: - Chihuahuas and Terriers (my dog Jack is a mix!) - Bernese Mountain Dogs - Border Collie Mixes - Shepherds - Staffy’s - Golden Retrievers - Shelties - Samoyeds - King Charles - Schnauzers - Norwegian Forest Cats - Tabbies I am happy to take on puppies/kittens and can integrate any training you might be working on with your fur-kiddo. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I can accommodate most walks and drop-ins depending on your needs. Just shoot me a request and I’ll get back to you right away. I treat everyone’s home with the same respect I expect at my own. I also take privacy very seriously. I am always happy to do meet-and-greets at a public park (or similar) before services. Again, I get it — you're trusting someone new in your home and with your animals. I want you to feel as comfortable as possible!
“Limari is a wonderful cat sitter. Our kitty is older and needs a bit of extra care, and Limari handled all the details perfectly. She sent thorough updates and was very timely with her visits as well. We look forward to having her watch our kitty again, and highly recommend her as a pet sitter!”
“Lori was absolutely amazing to work with! As our first time working with her I was so impressed by her genuine care, attention to detail, kindness and the thorough reports she provided. Not only did she come for a meet n greet with Charlie, but also I had to extend our stay through the 4th of July which had me feeling incredibly guilty to leave a pet during that stressful time, but she was incredible with extending our booking & making the time, administering medication & ensuring he was ok. It allowed me to relax into my vacation knowing she was there checking in on him & sharing happy updates. Lori is such a thoughtful pet sitter & will continue to hire her & highly recommend!!”

“Avery took amazing care of my dog & 2 cats while I went away. She sent personalized updates multiple times a day and cute photos as well! There was a big storm while I was away and she even went out of her way to tidy up my outdoor furniture and made sure everything was secured. Will absolutely book again and highly recommend!”

“tiffany took great care of my kitties, as always. this time i was away longer than usual but tiffany kept everyone fed, clean, and happy. she administered medication and a B12 shot according to schedule to help the senior cat maintain his health. tiffany also managed all the gadgets i have for the cats (litter robot, automated feeders & water fountain). so glad i can relax while on vacation, knowing the kitties are well taken care of!”
“Kelly is the absolute best. She has looked after my cat a few times now, and she’s so dependable, thorough, taking amazing pics, and my cat actually likes her! He’s really shy, but he warmed right up to her. I feel so happy knowing Chicken is safe and content while I’m gone. :)”

From managing medications and limited mobility to providing gentle companionship and a calm environment, I am experienced in making older dogs feel comfortable, loved, and well looked after. Communication is something I take seriously. I know how much you love your pet, and I never want you to wonder how they are doing. You can count on regular updates and photos throughout the day so you always have peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into my lifestyle. When I am in your home, I follow your instructions carefully and treat your space and your pet with the utmost respect. My goal is simple - to make sure your furry family member feels loved, cared for, and right at home until you return. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine. As a freelancer who works from home, I have the flexibility to structure my entire day around your pet's needs. Throughout the day I take regular breaks from work to check in, play, and spend quality time with any pets in my care. Your pet will never feel like an afterthought - they are always my priority. To give your pet the best possible care, I love learning as much about them as I can before we get started. Knowing their daily routine, energy level, feeding schedule, medications, and any special needs helps me make sure they feel right at home. I also like to understand their personality - how they interact with other dogs and people, any quirks or preferences, and what makes them feel safe and comfortable. The more I know about your pet, the better I can care for them the way you would

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - South Pasadena
Sydney was great at taking care of my 3 fur babies while I was away. One of my cats warmed right up to her as soon as she came in the front door! I looked forward to reading her detailed daily summaries and photos of her drop-in visits with my cats. Would definitely recommend and book her again.

We were pleased to find Joy to do daily drop in visits for our cat while on a long trip. Our cat seemed to feel comfortable with Joy almost immediately and she greeted her similarly to us whenever Joy visited. She followed our instructions well and helped us with a variety of tasks including cleaning vomit, bringing in packages, and watering plants. Thank you for taking care of our cat so well!

The kitties were well fed and hydrated. The litter boxes were clean (minus the recent dumps the cat took after Nyssa left but that is nothing on her) and the house looked to be in good shape even though we could have left it cleaner. I'll be booking with Nyssa again.

Faye is all you could ask for in a pet sitter and more! She went above and beyond in caring for our two cats and we could not have felt more at ease knowing they were in her hands. She gave them attention, stimulation, and attended to all of their needs. She kept us well informed of how they were doing and even went to great lengths to battle the ant colony that decide to invade their food dishes while we were away. We are so grateful for all of Faye’s efforts and care and will definitely be booking her again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
