About: Hi! I recently graduated from UCSB and have a very flexible schedule this summer before starting my full-time job. I’ve dog sat for family friends, and neighbors over the years and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. I’ve cared for a Maltese for several weeks, looked after a German Shepherd, and watched other small and medium-sized dogs. I’m comfortable following feeding schedules, going on walks, playing with dogs, and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I always try to provide the same level of care and attention they receive at home. I’m also happy to send photo updates so you can feel confident that your pet is in good hands. I have a very flexible schedule and can provide care throughout the day, which means your dog will get plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and companionship. I’m available on weekdays and weekends and can easily adjust to your dog’s normal routine. Since I’m home most of the day, I can make sure your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and never left alone for long periods of time. I live in a spacious townhouse with plenty of room for dogs to relax and move around comfortably. I also have a private porch where dogs can safely spend time outside and enjoy some fresh air. There is a coach outside for them to lay on. I understand that every dog has different needs and routines, so I always follow owner instructions carefully regarding feeding, walks, exercise, and any special care. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and at home while you’re away.

About: I provide a highly attentive, structured environment where your dog becomes part of the family, ensuring they get everything they need and more. A Welcoming, Social Home: I have a friendly dog who loves company and a daughter who adores dogs, meaning your pet will receive constant affection and socialization. Versatile & Specialized Care: I confidently handle a wide variety of dogs. My experience includes training young pets with positive reinforcement and providing patient, dedicated senior care. Constant Attention: Thanks to a highly flexible schedule, your dog will rarely be left alone and will receive consistent supervision, exercise, and tailored care. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine, as I have a highly flexible schedule and can prioritize walks, exercise, feeding, and check-ins throughout the day and week. This allows me to be reliable with timing, adapt to pets’ needs, and accommodate both recurring care and last-minute requests. I care for pets in my home by following their routine closely so pets feel safe and comfortable in their own environment. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, get proper exercise and enrichment, and receive plenty of attention and affection. I keep the home clean, handle litter or waste, monitor behavior and health, and provide updates so owners feel confident their pets are well cared for while they’re away.

About: For nearly two decades, my neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to care for their pets when they are away. I have extensive experience looking after dogs and cats of all ages and needs. Not only can I take your high-energy dog for a long walk or run, I will also slow things down to give your elderly pet the time and attention they need. I’m known for never refusing a belly rub and always loving your pets like my own. I am also happy to check up on aquarium dwellers (like my client who has goldfish!) I am a professional dancer and summer is the slow season, so I have flexible hours that can fit anyone’s busy day. I am available for daytime check-ins, walks, and daycare any day of the week. My schedule easily allows for pet pickups/drop offs and house sitting. I am home most of the day to keep your dog company. If I am out of the house it usually will only be for a couple hours and I have a very friendly dog who will comfort your dog in my absence. Because I am home most of the time, I can do exercise and potty breaks as frequently as you would like.

About: ***UPDATE! Opening my profile up to new clients again after about a year, as I have some openings! Feel free to reach out with inquiries!*** I have had dogs my entire life, and what can I say — I just love them. I have cared for dogs for 20 years, and even spent a few years training dogs at the American Kennel Club (AKC). I rescued my own pup nearly 10 years ago, and rescued my cat ~5 years ago now-- and have since been equally obsessed with felines. They’re incredibly different animals, with their own way of looking at the world, both of which I respect. Over the years, I have walked and cared for many family's, friends’ and colleagues' dogs and cats of all ages, before opening my network to my neighborhood. ***Key Notes: - Currently, I am open for dog walking and dog/cat drop-ins. Please see all service options (including add-ons) in my profile and feel free to reach out with questions! - For 60-minute walks, depending on location, weather and your comfort level, I can take your pup(s) for a hike or trail-run nearby! - I have a range of experience, from energetic and exercise-craving dogs to elderly pups who require gentle care and a patient, slower speed. I love providing care for either side of the spectrum, and all in between. The bottom line is: the safety of your dog/dogs is my top priority. I know how it is. I’ve used Rover and other services for my dog and cat, and I understand how it feels to entrust another person with your fur-kiddo. I am patient and will give you whatever you need to feel comfortable with me as a caregiver — from answering questions, to a meet-and-greet (in person or on zoom), to picture updates all along the way. Every dog and cat is different, and I want to know what makes your beloved pet unique so I can provide him/her with the best care. I’m a good communicator — from medications to leash/sidewalk politics to triggers and everything in between, you can rest assured we will be on the same page. I have experience caring for all shapes and sizes: - Chihuahuas and Terriers (my dog Jack is a mix!) - Bernese Mountain Dogs - Border Collie Mixes - Shepherds - Staffy’s - Golden Retrievers - Shelties - Samoyeds - King Charles - Schnauzers - Norwegian Forest Cats - Tabbies I am happy to take on puppies/kittens and can integrate any training you might be working on with your fur-kiddo. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I can accommodate most walks and drop-ins depending on your needs. Just shoot me a request and I’ll get back to you right away. I treat everyone’s home with the same respect I expect at my own. I also take privacy very seriously. I am always happy to do meet-and-greets at a public park (or similar) before services. Again, I get it — you're trusting someone new in your home and with your animals. I want you to feel as comfortable as possible!

About: Your pet's comfort and happiness are my top priority, and I believe the best way to achieve that is by keeping things as familiar as possible. I stick closely to your pet's normal routine - feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any medications - so they feel safe and at ease whether you are home or away. I am reliable, attentive, and genuinely patient with all kinds of personalities. Whether your pup is high-energy and needs plenty of activity or is a more laid-back companion who just wants some quiet company, I adapt to whatever makes your pet feel most comfortable. I have a special place in my heart for senior dogs and understand the extra care and patience they require. From managing medications and limited mobility to providing gentle companionship and a calm environment, I am experienced in making older dogs feel comfortable, loved, and well looked after. Communication is something I take seriously. I know how much you love your pet, and I never want you to wonder how they are doing. You can count on regular updates and photos throughout the day so you always have peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into my lifestyle. I am a freelancer who works from home with a flexible schedule, which means I am around the house throughout the day and can plan my entire routine around your pet's needs. When I am in your home, I follow your instructions carefully and treat your space and your pet with the utmost respect. My goal is simple - to make sure your furry family member feels loved, cared for, and right at home until you return. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine. As a freelancer who works from home, I have the flexibility to structure my entire day around your pet's needs. Throughout the day I take regular breaks from work to check in, play, and spend quality time with any pets in my care. Your pet will never feel like an afterthought - they are always my priority. To give your pet the best possible care, I love learning as much about them as I can before we get started. Knowing their daily routine, energy level, feeding schedule, medications, and any special needs helps me make sure they feel right at home. I also like to understand their personality - how they interact with other dogs and people, any quirks or preferences, and what makes them feel safe and comfortable. The more I know about your pet, the better I can care for them the way you would

About: I am excellent with dogs, perceptive to their needs, can be very active when walking/hiking, and consistently great at training our furry friends. By welcoming only one dog family at a time, I'm able to provide a personalized experience centered around your pup's routine, comfort, and happiness. Your pup will receive my full attention in a peaceful, low-stress environment where I can focus on their individual needs. From adventurous walks and hikes to patient guidance, training reinforcement, and plenty of affection, every stay is tailored to help your dog feel safe, happy, and loved. Simply the Best Dog Care Around - Experienced. I am an active, reliable university professor who works from home with 40+ years of experience caring for dogs. Dogs have always been cherished members of my family. I've cared for puppies, seniors, energetic adventurers, shy or anxious dogs, and those requiring daily medication. - Medications & Special Diets. I am experienced in administrating medication, as my own beloved dog battled leukemia during the last year of his life, giving me firsthand experience administering medication and providing compassionate, attentive care. - Training. Skilled in training dogs (even the oldest of dogs) with new tricks, walking skills (how not to pull or be reactive to other dogs/humans), and am well-versed at how to reassure pups with separation anxiety. Exclusive, Concierge-Style Experience, with Individualized Care - One-on-one Care. I only accept one dog client at a time. Your pup will receive my full attention throughout their stay without the stress, competition, or unpredictability that can come with larger boarding environments. - Every dog is different. I take the time to learn what makes your pup feel safe, relaxed and at home, whether that's long walks, relaxing beside me while I work from home, extra play sessions, or simply lots of affection and companionship. - P.s. I give a mean doggy massage. Plenty of Updates - I have a knack for taking the cutest dog pics and will make sure to keep your mind at ease while I am watching over your fur baby by sending plenty of photos of them having fun on our adventures around town and hanging at home. My goal is for you to travel/work with complete peace of mind, knowing that your fur baby is being cared for with attention to the finest details. I work from home as a professor and live a very active lifestyle, including daily walks, weekly hikes, and bike rides. My dog clients love all of the activity, exploration and love and affection I provide. I am a huge fan of giving belly rubs to furry friends, and I have perfected my doggy massage which makes them melt. Your dog will get filtered water, plenty of love and belly rubs, on leash walks & hikes, and on-time and appropriate meals and medication. Your dog's safety and comfort are always my highest priorities. Because I only host one client at a time, I can closely monitor your pup throughout the day and tailor everything—from walks to playtime to rest—to their individual needs. My home offers plenty of cozy places to nap and relax, along with a sunny outdoor area where your dog can safely enjoy fresh air, sniff around, or lounge in the sunshine. Dogs are never left unattended outdoors. I'm just a short walk from Garfield Park and only minutes driving from Lacy Park, where I love taking my dog guests for walks, hikes, and adventures in nature. For every car ride, I use a rear-seat dog hammock and canine seat belts to keep your pup safe and comfortable while I drive them around town. I'm also happy to schedule a Meet & Greet before your booking so everyone—especially your dog—can feel confident it's the right fit.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in South Pasadena. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
