“First time leaving my boy alone, and Emilie was so communicative and made me feel at ease. She took the time to meet him before and he immediately loved her so I knew he was in good hands <3”

“If you're looking for someone to care for your cat like family, look no further!! You'll be lucky if you get to hire her. Big Rig (known affectionately as Iggy) is probably a lot like your cat. In other words, he's not just a cat—he's a furry little personality with opinions, routines, and a very specific standard of service. Kenya met all his demands. I came home to a happy, relaxed cat who clearly had not spent the weekend plotting my demise for abandonning him with a stranger. That's a huge success in cat-owner terms. From the moment I met Kenya for a "meet and greet," I knew Iggy was in caring and capable hands. Kenya immediately appreciated Iggy's quirks, respected his boundaries, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Knowing that Big Rig was safe, comfortable, and cared for allowed me to actually enjoy my trip instead of worrying about what kind of chaos a bored feline genius might be creating at home. Kind, reliable, thoughtful—I couldn't ask for a better person to look after Iggy. Five stars from me, and if Big Rig could write reviews himself, he'd probably give six.”

About: I come from a dog-loving family on the East Coast that always had a furry companion to care for as I was growing up. I’ve cared for my own pets as well as pet-sit for neighbors and friends over the years (including cats and dogs, both overnight and drop-by). I'm a semi-recent college grad and current remote freelancer, so I am available most odd hours of the week with really flexible schedule to stay, drop-in, or walk your pet(s)!! My current housing unfortunately does not allow pets, but I am experienced in pet-sitting at a client’s home and can easily adapt to your home and pet’s needs.
About: from fish, to chickens, to ducks, to birds, to cats and dogs, I've pet-sat them all! I regularly pet-sit for a friend whose house we affectionally call "the farm" because it has all these animals! I work at a school 8-3pm. During the holidays my schedule is quite flexible to take care of your more needy pets, and during the rest of the year I'm happy to hang with your low-maintenance furry friends! I take detailed notes on instructions from pet-owners on our initial meeting and repeatedly refer back to them throughout my stay. as for the pups, I love to walk them, especially the adventurous ones who are excited for a hike or longer adventure!
About: Hi, I'm Izzy, a life long dog lover. I was lucky enough to grow up with two chocolate labs, Charlie Brown and Hodgepodge and am currently raising Kayla, a senior rescue dog. Kayla came into my life reactive and anxious, but I have proudly helped her grow into a relaxed and confident dog who can play nicely with other dogs. I have years of part time dog walking under my belt and can work with dogs of all sizes, ages and temperaments. I'm active and energetic so ready to take your dog on long walks through parks and hilly streets! My schedule is super flexible so I'm happy to work around you and your desired walk times. I can also stay over at your place for overnight dog sitting. I am organized, bright and detail oriented, so if you give me instructions for care in your home, I'm on it. I have experience with senior dogs (administering pills, etc), reactive dogs, and puppies. Above all, I am clean, caring and respectful to all people and animals!
“It was lovely to have Aries and Inwoo as sitters for Sunny while we were away for 2 weeks. They were very patient with Sunny, took the time to give her treats and replace her food/water bowls, and gave Sunny lots of playtime. We noticed that Sunny naturally warmed up to both very quickly and eagerly awaited every day for the drop-in visits. The best part was they clicked many cute pics and videos of our baby while we were away. That, undoubtedly, helped us be assured that Sunny is well taken care of. We appreciated the thorough professional communication and they kindly watered our home plants :) We were delighted to have Aries and Inwoo as sitters and would love to have them cat-sit Sunny again in the future.”

About: I've been caring for animals for most of my life. Growing up, I had both a pit bull and a Chihuahua, giving me experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities. As my pit bull aged, I learned how to care for a senior dog with arthritis, including being patient with mobility limitations and adapting to his changing needs. In addition to my own pets, I've fostered dogs, helped care for a mother during labor, and looked after newborn puppies. I've also pet-sat for friends and family and volunteered at animal shelters, where I gained experience working with dogs of different temperaments. Beyond dogs, I've cared for a variety of animals, including guinea pigs and tortoises, which has taught me to be attentive, patient, and responsive to each animal's unique needs. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply wants companionship and a calm environment, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I'm currently taking a month-long sabbatical, so I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pet. The only consistent part of my routine is that I go to the gym Monday through Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. I also take a walk or run around the Silver Lake Reservoir every evening around 7:00 PM, and I'd love for your dog to join me if they enjoy exercise. Outside of those times, I'm available for walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a spacious, fenced home with a clean, uncluttered layout that provides plenty of room for dogs to relax and play. I share the home with three other women in their 20s who also love dogs, so your pet will receive lots of attention, affection, and companionship. I live in a quiet, suburban neighborhood with plenty of trees and green spaces that are perfect for walks and outdoor time. There's also a nearby park where dogs can safely explore new sights, smells, and even squirrels. I'll always follow your pet's normal routine, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications (if needed), and any specific instructions you provide, so they feel as comfortable and at home as possible.
“Angelique was so helpful and patient. My dog is on crate rest and isn't a lot of fun to sit for right now. Angelique basically sat by her side for the entire visit.”

“Lori is a true professional! She responds quickly, arrives on time, and clearly knows her stuff when it comes to dog care. I had to get right back into the swing of things a few days after puppy arrived and Lori was there to take care of my little guy while I was at work and put my mind at ease. Glad to have her there for all those times I can't be!”

“Emily is such an amazing pet sitter. I had not needed to use her services for several months so when I reached out to book, she took the initiative to ask if anything had changed since she last checked on my cat, which I really appreciated. She also always sends the cutest photos.”

About: Hi, I’ve grown up around dogs and cats and have experience walking, feeding, cleaning up after them, and caring for them responsibly. I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and well looked after. I am currently attending continuation school, so I have flexible hours and availability throughout the week for dog walking, check-ins, feeding, pet-sitting and pet care. I make sure pets are cared for by following their usual routine and what the owner’s instructions are. In a client’s home, I can provide feeding, walks, playtime, check-ins, companionship, pet-sitting and cleaning up after pets while respecting instructions.
“Sara was a fantastic caregiver for our elderly cat and we would recommend her to anyone! She is extremely communicative, and respectful of our cat's needs. She went above and beyond and asked where a broom & dustpan were while we were away because Becky can be sloppy with her litter. Sara proactively clarified Becky's insulin needs to make sure she would be giving her the right amount amidst some changes in her insulin regimen. We look forward to when we can book Sara again!”
About: Your pet's comfort and happiness are my top priority, and I believe the best way to achieve that is by keeping things as familiar as possible. I stick closely to your pet's normal routine - feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any medications - so they feel safe and at ease whether you are home or away. I am reliable, attentive, and genuinely patient with all kinds of personalities. Whether your pup is high-energy and needs plenty of activity or is a more laid-back companion who just wants some quiet company, I adapt to whatever makes your pet feel most comfortable. I have a special place in my heart for senior dogs and understand the extra care and patience they require. From managing medications and limited mobility to providing gentle companionship and a calm environment, I am experienced in making older dogs feel comfortable, loved, and well looked after. Communication is something I take seriously. I know how much you love your pet, and I never want you to wonder how they are doing. You can count on regular updates and photos throughout the day so you always have peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into my lifestyle. I am a freelancer who works from home with a flexible schedule, which means I am around the house throughout the day and can plan my entire routine around your pet's needs. When I am in your home, I follow your instructions carefully and treat your space and your pet with the utmost respect. My goal is simple - to make sure your furry family member feels loved, cared for, and right at home until you return. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine. As a freelancer who works from home, I have the flexibility to structure my entire day around your pet's needs. Throughout the day I take regular breaks from work to check in, play, and spend quality time with any pets in my care. Your pet will never feel like an afterthought - they are always my priority. To give your pet the best possible care, I love learning as much about them as I can before we get started. Knowing their daily routine, energy level, feeding schedule, medications, and any special needs helps me make sure they feel right at home. I also like to understand their personality - how they interact with other dogs and people, any quirks or preferences, and what makes them feel safe and comfortable. The more I know about your pet, the better I can care for them the way you would
“Margaret is truly the best. She’s so attentive, kind, and accommodating. She really loves taking care of pets and it shows. My dogs adore her and every time I return after she’s come by there is such an ease and peace to them which is reassurance that they’ve enjoyed and appreciated time with her. Thank you Margaret for you care and kindness to my lil fur kids.”

About: I own two dogs and rescued two bunnies (domesticated) while hiking. I love animals and if I could I’d own a farm. I’ve done doggy sitting for friends, family members and coworkers. I’m currently working full time so ideally would doggy sit on weekends. I take my dogs for walks at least four times a week and when they were younger I’d take them on long intense hikes. My dogs sleep with me. They are my daughters! I would do anything for them. When I’ve doggy sat in the past I would allow the other dogs to sleep with me as well. All the dogs I’ve taken care of are super playful and follow me everywhere. We enjoy each others company.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Highland Park
Magdalena is an absolutely wonderful sitter/caregiver, and I definitely recommend her to any pet parent! 😃 She took time in advance (of the booking) to meet multiple times with my large rescue dog and patiently earned the trust of myself and my fur baby. 💛 She is lovingly in tune with animals; as she attentively watches and listens to them and all of their behaviors & communication-visible & non-visible. Magdalena is smart, thoughtful and caring in all the big & small details of caring for a precious pet and in keeping them safe & comfortable, either in your home or hers. In my case, she visited my dog in my home and went above & beyond in cautiously considering all the elements of my baby's health & safety; especially in the severe summer heat. She communicated kindly & thoroughly with my father and I, she sent me daily pics, videos and detailed reports on my dog's daily activities. I've had

Camille was very nice and communicative. We have very shy cats and this was their first visit with Camille. While they didn’t come out, it’s typical for them, and I think they will warm up to her quickly. She also let us know when we had a problem with some mail and was very helpful.

My two Maine Coons, Starburst and Greywolf, who are brothers, are currently 13 years old. These cats have always had a family friend watch them since they were 10 weeks old, so you can imagine my trepidations when my friend said she was going to be out of town when I needed her. Aries did a most amazing job. One of my cats is super shy, but she managed to get him out from behind the chair and played with him. The other cat is Mr. Friendly and she had him on her lap. I saw these miracles as Aries sent me several photos of the cats and her magical work with them. I highly, highly recommend Aries.

Adriana is the best, y'all. Communicative, professional, reliable, and so sweet with my two cats. She clearly put a lot of love and care into the visits and did not skimp on play time during our week-long trip. I couldn't recommend her more to anyone looking for a caring soul to look after their pets. We will definitely be booking with her whenever we can.

Sarah and David were amazing! This is my second time booking with them, and I can't recommend them enough. They were excellent communicators, followed my care instructions perfectly, and took the cutest photos of my cat. I always feel at ease knowing my cat is in such great hands!

Tamara was an amazing sitter and was so kind to respond to a last minute request! My usually-shy cat was quick to come out of hiding and play with her after meals, which made me extremely happy to see 🥹 Tamara took such good care of her and made sure all my cat’s little eating and care habits were met! Thank you again!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
