About: I have had many dogs of my own, cared for them as puppies into their old age. Big and small, from Golden Retrievers to Chihuahuas. I have pet sat many times for cats and dogs. I have a very open and flexible schedule, I am on summer break currently. I am available everyday of the week and weekend, and have reliable transportation and the flexibility for longer stays. I spend quality time with them, play with them, and make sure they are eating, drinking, and exercising properly. Making sure they are happy and comfortable with me.
“My pets loved Mike right as they met him. He was flexible, kind, and overall a great sitter. We had to change trip dates and later we worked in an additional visit on the schedule. We had very limited cellphone reception while out of town and were happy that he was communicating as needed. We will definitely book him again!”

About: Hi! I'm Harue, and I've loved animals for as long as I can remember. I've cared for pets for friends, family, and neighbors, volunteered at local animal shelters, and rescued my own pet parakeets. Getting to know each animal's unique personality is one of my favorite parts of pet sitting! 🐶🐱❤️ I've cared for dogs, cats, parakeets, hamsters, and reptiles, and I love spending time with animals of all kinds. Whether your pet is playful and energetic or prefers quiet company, I'm happy to meet them where they’re at. My schedule varies day by day, but I will definitely let you know if I am available during the time of your request! I’ll follow their usual routine, including feeding, walks, and any special care needs, while keeping you updated with photo updates along the way! 📸 Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I would give my own, while following their routines, keeping their environment safe, and creating a calm, stress-free experience. Whether we’re going on walks, having playtime, or spending quiet time together, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and happy. 🐾
About: I've lived around and helped care for dogs my entire life, growing up with labs, golden retrievers, and Australian shepherds in Reno, NV. Currently I'm a student doctor at USC, applying into MD residency in 2028, and I love animals - dogs & cats. I can do dog walks or home visits, and I've had experience taking care of young + older dogs. I'm in the MD-MBA program at USC, and I'm in the MBA portion of my training, meaning that I have Fri-Sun off consistently. Notified in advance, I can help with pet care most mornings Friday-Sunday. Please feel free to message me! Overall, I am very observant, patient, and responsible. I'm aware of nearby traffic and other dogs. I responsibly clean up after poop accidents. I'm great with energetic dogs who need outdoor time. I have experience working with older dogs as well, and I'm very patient and attentive to their needs.
“Namie was lovely to work with and very communicative during her check-in with my 2 big girls! They felt comfortable with Namie right away, which was a huge relief as a first-time Rover user. She left us multiple pictures, and we would definitely book with her again!”

“April was a wonderful cat sitter! She was responsive and professional and took great care of our little buddy while we were away. I will definitely have her look after him again.”

“Joy was an attentive sitter who fed and gave company to my cat Sesame for a week while I was traveling, and provided photos and updates each day. I would very happily book again.”

“I am so glad to have found Priscilla to take care of my cats when I’m away! She is very consistent with scheduling; which I know the girls appreciated! She was very attentive to them, and even bonded with my very shy cat! I will not hesitate to book Priscilla again, and neither should you!”

About: I go the extra mile to provide exceptional care for your furry family members. What sets me apart from other sitters is my experiencin senior pet care and my genuine passion for animals. Pet care seamlessly fits into my daily life. I prioritize feeding, exercise, playtime, grooming, and bedtime routines to ensure my pets' well-being and happiness always. I offer unwavering love, attention, exercise, grooming, and a safe environment for my pets. Their well-being and happiness are my top priorities to my babies.
“Shelby was great! She looked after our 3 cats and was very diligent about giving updates, taking extra photos, and making sure they were well cared for. Would definitely book with her again!”

“I made sure to Book Dean a few months before my scheduled vacation because Dean is hands-down, without a doubt the best cat sitter. I’ve had many cat sitters in the past and they were all very kind and I felt that my cats were safe with them but it’s different with Dean. When we come home after a long vacation, my cats feel different if they have been watched by Dean. We can tell that they were not only safe and well fed, but they felt loved. Dean brings over handmade cat toys and special treats and engages with them the entire time. We can tell just by the photos how much our cats love Dean. I’m generally a nervous person when it comes to my cats because they are my babies and when we get Rover cards from any other Rover, I immediately have nerves thinking “what if something went wrong”. With Dean, my husband and I have general excitement when we get the Rover card. We are always so excited to see what they have been up to. It’s such a blessing when you know your pets are safe with someone but it’s beyond wonderful when you know they feel loved.”

“Julien looked after my dog Dexter for about a week. This is the first time I have used Rover so I was a little hesitant but Julien was outstanding! Julien followed my requests perfectly and regularly communicated (with photos) regarding Dexter’s progress. I really felt Dexter was happy and well cared for with Julien. Moving forward Julien will be my “go to” for Dexter.”

About: Growing up, I had two cats; I rescued them from the shelter; their names are Shy and Puppy. They live with my mom at her house. I currently have Mollie fish for my kids, 1 Beta fish, My son named him Blueberry, and 1 Dog; his name is Coffee. Currently going to school Mon-Thur I am available on the weekends and holidays. One week in advance notice is preferred; I have three kids to take care of during the week; after 6 pm, I can be available if you need me to walk the dog on Mon-Fri. I prefer to take care of your pet at your home since my home is pretty busy. I have one dog, but he's not neutered; the backyard is fenced.
“Kyle was invaluable by looking after our reptiles on short notice that we were able to have peace of mind while abroad without having to board then. We definitely would recommend them and look forward to working with them again in the future.”

“It was my first time booking with Alicia and using Rover, and was a wonderful sitter! She was on time and followed instructions thoroughly! She was great with my 2 kittens and played with them lots. Alicia also asked for feedback after the visit, which I really appreciated. Looking forward to booking her again next time!”

About: As a mental health therapist/caregiver I have cared for loved ones, their homes, and their pets during difficult times in addition to my own pets. That being said, I truly adore not only maintaining my home but caring for someone else's home equally the same with respect. I am very organized, attention to details is a must, and structured. I also believe in going with the flow when necessary, I am very adaptable to change in new environments! I owned a Persian cat and miniature cocker spaniel for several years while in college along with a fish tank. I also co-parented a German Shepherd. I truly love and adore and miss the pets that I have owned and excited to share the love with meeting new pets and caring for them. So it's a Natural Instinct on the tasks that come with taking care of them and their needs. I am the perfect fit for your home because of everything that I represent (honest, loving, open-minded, well-rounded person). I have always loved animals and have grown up with dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, horse riding, and rabbits since I was a little girl! Recently, I have decided to take on house sitting for Pets because I miss caring and nurturing Animals. Pets are healing, loving, and provide a well rounded life when you care for them like family! Because I travel so much, I am very concerned about getting a pet again right now and having to board the pet or have trouble with them traveling with me so this will give me an opportunity to care for pets since I truly adore them. I work remotely so I'm able to care for your sweet pets in your home while giving them the love & attention they're used to getting while you're there! Greetings my name is Kenisha/Kay! I'd love the care for adorable pet(s). You'll be able to enjoy your travels knowing that your fur babies are well taken care of a long with your home (I will watch it like a hawk! :). I am a caring, mature person who loves exploring via pet sitting. I've been house sitting through several Housesitting platforms for over a year & would love to add you to my list of satisfied families! You will see my personal references from individuals in my life that I have pet sit for or aided in their day to day for your comfort. While House sitting, I will keep your pets are entertained, feed them meals/treats promptly, and they will be my priority while I am there! I would love to talk with you more about house sitting and taking care of your precious pets. Please take a look at my profile and feel free to reply to this message to set up a call or chat with me! Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pasadena
This was the second time Priscilla took care of my cat, and in addition to doing a good job with feeding, playing, and litter, she really seemed to develop a bond with him. He can be bitey and I appreciated that she took this in stride. Her photos and timely updates were a joy to receive while I was away.

Sydney and my cat hit off from the start! I appreciated her interest in his quirks and spent time to play with my vary social cat. She was attentive to my instructions and responded immediately anytime I reached out. She was also available within the hour due to a cat sitter cancellation! Amazing. Will be reaching out to Sydney again soon !

Alexis did an amazing job looking after Mouchey -- I could tell how well he was looked after by how perky and engaged he was in every picture sent to me, as well as his bounding energy after I returned. She was also super adaptable and communicative: unexpectedly, an ant invasion occurred while I was gone, and Alexis did an outstanding job of letting me know about the situation, moving Mouchey and his items to a separate room, and containing the problem. Even when Mouchey's food was compromised, she immediately went the extra mile and offered to run to the store for a new bag so that we could toss the old one out. Her quick responsiveness and meticulous documentation allowed me to call in additional resources to clean up the issue, and she was so helpful and accommodating during the whole ordeal. Much, much gratitude for all of your help! I absolutely endorse Alexis's professionalism and competence -- I cannot understate how impressive her conduct was during this booking.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
