“Lijuan was wonderful. She took great care of my cat, Mimi. She even tidied things up a little. She gave Mimi treats each time to help bond with her and make her feel comfortable.”

“Kyle was invaluable by looking after our reptiles on short notice that we were able to have peace of mind while abroad without having to board then. We definitely would recommend them and look forward to working with them again in the future.”

“Saemi came over a couple of times while I was out all day and made sure my two dogs were taken care of. They are completely opposite—one big and super excited, and one small and timid—and she was able to adapt to each of their needs at once. I have boarded with Saemi before and I know I can be away from my pets without worry when they are with her! Thanks Saemi!”

“Mike is a great catsitter! He has a lot of experience taking care of cats, so that put my mind at ease. My cat was well taken care of and Mike sent plenty of pictures and notes.”

“Shelby took great care of my cats, who are both a little more work than the average cat. I came home to happy cats, showing that Shelby gave them great attention during their visits. The updates, pictures, and responsive communication were much appreciated.”

“Dean was great! We needed a last-minute sitter for a weekend trip and they were very quick to respond, flexible with the scheduling, and took great care of our kitty. :) Thanks Dean!”

“Sophia is amazing , quick to respond , always keeps me updated and sends lots of cute pictures . I will continue to request her as long as she’s available. Thank you once again .”

“Namie was lovely to work with and very communicative during her check-in with my 2 big girls! They felt comfortable with Namie right away, which was a huge relief as a first-time Rover user. She left us multiple pictures, and we would definitely book with her again!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for most of my life. I grew up with a German Shepherd who I helped care for from puppyhood until she passed when I was 18, giving me years of experience with walks, feeding, exercise, and lots of love. My mom prioritized cleanliness so I also know how to keep your dog and space clean. More recently, I’ve cared for a friend’s young Aussiedoodle on five separate occasions, including overnight stays, which gave me experience handling a high-energy dog with a consistent routine and plenty of attention needs. Whether your dog is young or old, my goal is always to provide reliable, attentive care and make them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m available on Fridays before 9am and after 4pm (can be flexible in between also) and on weekends I’m pretty flexible for multiple visits / walks per day. I am great at following directions and will respect any wishes you have for your home and pet. I am very conscious that I am caring for a loved one and will be very careful and safe during my time with your pet.
“Julien looked after my dog Dexter for about a week. This is the first time I have used Rover so I was a little hesitant but Julien was outstanding! Julien followed my requests perfectly and regularly communicated (with photos) regarding Dexter’s progress. I really felt Dexter was happy and well cared for with Julien. Moving forward Julien will be my “go to” for Dexter.”

“She was so good with Jessica. Usually she's super shy with new people and she immediately im ate treats from Anne. Her energy was great. Clearly she has a connection with the animals. It was less hard going on a trip knowing my cat was in good hands. She also sent the cutest photos.”

About: I’ve been a lifelong cat lover and currently care for my own cat, so I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, comfortable, and receiving plenty of attention while you’re away. As a legal professional, I’m highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented. I take instructions seriously, communicate clearly, and make it a priority to keep pet parents updated with photos and messages during each visit. Whether your cat is social and playful or prefers a quieter approach, I’ll work at their pace and make sure they receive the care, attention, fresh food and water, litter box maintenance, and companionship they need. My goal is to help your cat feel comfortable and give you peace of mind while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and understand that trust is the most important part of pet care. Available Monday through Friday for drop-in visits between 5 PM - 10 PM; M, W, Fri from 6:30 AM - 8 AM; 12-1 PM; 5-10 PM; Flexible schedule on M, W, FRI due to working from home. Available Saturday and Sunday all day for drop-in visits and house sitting. I like stocking my cat’s environment with blankets, beds and toys and offer lots of love and cuddling. I will follow my client’s instructions and preferences to keep their cat comfy and happy.
About: I manage a puppy yoga company so I have tons of experience with young dogs. I have also been a dog sitter for adult and senior dogs for 10 years. I am CPR & First Aid certified for dogs & puppies! I am a professional dancer; auditioning and taking classes is my current schedule. I’m home for the good majority of every day and I love to go for long walks. I have no other pets; I live in a safe area and a building with many other dogs. My building has elevators, so there is easy access outside!
“I’ve had the pleasure of Alicia as my cat sitter several times now and I will continue to book with her! She’s always attentive, communicative, and very sweet with my 2 kitties. They always love when she visits and I love seeing the photos & videos Alicia takes!”

About: I'm an animal lover with 10+ years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and small pets. I take the time to understand each pet's needs so they feel safe and comfortable while you're away. Whether your pet loves walks, playtime, cuddles, or quiet companionship, I'm happy to provide attentive care. I'm dependable, patient, and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I am currently taking online classes, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate quality time to caring for pets. My routine allows me to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding schedules, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and love helping pet owners feel confident that their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are my top priorities. I provide a calm, clean, and loving environment and carefully follow each pet’s individual routine, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications, and any special instructions. When caring for pets in your home, I will treat your space with respect and provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I’ve been around dogs since i was a child and genuinely love caring for them. I have experience with puppies (my own dog gave birth to 9 puppies that I helped raise and care for!), senior dogs, and homes with multiple dogs. As a husky owner, I’m very comfortable with energetic small, medium, and large breeds and understand how important exercise, structure, and attention are for a happy dog. I’m also comfortable giving oral medications and know how important it is to give them properly and on schedule. I gained this experience while caring for my own husky when she needed medication as a puppy. Since I’m not currently working full time, I have plenty of time to spend with the dogs in my care. That means lots of supervision, playtime, walks, cuddles, and just keeping them company throughout the day. I only take 1 to 2 guest dogs at a time, depending on size, so each dog gets plenty of attention. If needed, I can safely separate dogs to make sure everyone feels comfortable and relaxed. My home is very dog friendly, and dogs are welcome on the furniture and even the bed if that’s what they’re used to. I treat every dog like family and always send regular photo and message updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away. Pet care is already a big part of my everyday life. I currently work part time and am on call as needed, so my schedule is pretty flexible and I have plenty of time to spend with the dogs I care for. At home, my own dogs go out for walks at least twice a day, and I make sure they get lots of exercise, playtime, attention, and potty breaks throughout the day. On weekends, I’m usually home most of the time, so the dogs get even more company and care. I’m also home most evenings, so your dog won’t be left alone for long stretches. I really enjoy sending photo and message updates throughout the day too, so you can see how your pup is doing and feel at ease while you’re away. I always try to follow each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible because I know that helps them feel safe, relaxed, and happy. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my main focus. I take time to learn each dog’s routine and personality so they can feel relaxed and at home with me. In my home, dogs are treated like part of the family and are always supervised. I only take a small number of dogs at a time so I can give each one plenty of attention, and I can separate them if needed to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. I make sure they get regular potty breaks, walks, fresh water, and lots of love throughout the day. I also send photo and message updates so you can see how they’re doing and feel at ease while you’re away. I truly care for every dog like they’re my own and want them to feel happy, safe, and loved while in my care.
About: I have been taking care of pets since I was 10 years old. I have personally lived with 5 cats during my life time and have taken care of dogs outside of my house for friends and family. Of those 5 cats, 3 I have taken care of until they passed away, so I know how to take care of both young and older animals. I am currently a behavior therapist for children with autism. I am a very patient and calm person that extends to both my personal and professional life. It is very important to me to get to have a good relationship with the pet that I am taking care of. I currently work part time as a behavioral therapist for children with autism. I am completely free on the weekends and have time early afternoon and late at night on weekdays to do drop ins or stay the night. I am more than willing to follow any care that is required for the pet in question. I will take the time the play with them, take them on walks, give them food, and medicine if that is something they need. I will make sure they treat your home respectfully as I know from experience that cats and dogs alike enjoy doing things with furniture that they are not supposed to. I will always make sure that your pet is happy and comfortable when around me.

Shari is truly a gem of a human being. She takes excellent care of my wee fur babies and goes above the request with care of our home, too. One fur baby is a bit shy and Shari’s consistency pays off and my other fur baby is an ambassador and loves Shari’s care and attention. Shari is conscientious, caring, and committed to the care of the animals who she is in charge of - book her now!

Emily was so easy to work with - we had a prep visit and she offered to track all the instructions herself, which I really appreciated. Then when we were gone, our power went out and she was so sweet & willing to find our breaker box to reset it. Our cats loved her, she sent so many fun pictures that made us feel like our babies were happy & safe. Highly recommend - goes above & beyond!

Tianfan is our go to catsitter. We have worked with her multiple times now and she has been amazing! Our cats love her. Thank you so much for taking care of the house and the kitties!! We’ll stay in touch so we can book you again for our next vacation. Thank you!

Diana has pet sit for my cat Mooney several times and she has been great! She sends pictures and is very responsible. She has also been very responsive whenever I reach out which I really appreciate. She has been able to watch my cat on short notice which is huge. Highly recommend!

She was so good with Jessica. Usually she's super shy with new people and she immediately im ate treats from Anne. Her energy was great. Clearly she has a connection with the animals. It was less hard going on a trip knowing my cat was in good hands. She also sent the cutest photos.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
