“Lijuan has been amazing with our dog, Lance! She takes lots of great pictures of their walks and he looks like he’s having a lovely time with her. Lijuan is prompt, responsible, and we feel relieved knowing she is taking care of our dog while we’re at work. We look forward to booking again!”

“Dean is incredible! I can’t tell you how detailed and helpful, attentive and prompt Dean is! If Dean isn’t available I second guess if I should even go out of town!!”

“I have a Great Dane who is very reactive to people and moving objects. I needed a walker in an emergency and contacted rover and choose Julien to walk him 2 times a day. I was worried at first however after our meet and greet I felt confident with my choice. Julien was perfect! He handled my precious dog with ease and confidence. Even when my dog did a few naughty things in my house he kindly took action and handled the problem as well as notified me and help correct the issue. Moving forward I would choose Julian for all of my needs walking Siren.”

“Adam is a very calm, confident, and dependable walker! His prior experiences handling large dogs have made us feel at ease, since Zuni can be a handful at times. Adam is always on time, and we are very grateful for his speedy response. Highly recommended!”

About: I’ve been around dogs since i was a child and genuinely love caring for them. I have experience with puppies (my own dog gave birth to 9 puppies that I helped raise and care for!), senior dogs, and homes with multiple dogs. As a husky owner, I’m very comfortable with energetic small, medium, and large breeds and understand how important exercise, structure, and attention are for a happy dog. I’m also comfortable giving oral medications and know how important it is to give them properly and on schedule. I gained this experience while caring for my own husky when she needed medication as a puppy. Since I’m not currently working full time, I have plenty of time to spend with the dogs in my care. That means lots of supervision, playtime, walks, cuddles, and just keeping them company throughout the day. I only take 1 to 2 guest dogs at a time, depending on size, so each dog gets plenty of attention. If needed, I can safely separate dogs to make sure everyone feels comfortable and relaxed. My home is very dog friendly, and dogs are welcome on the furniture and even the bed if that’s what they’re used to. I treat every dog like family and always send regular photo and message updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away. Pet care is already a big part of my everyday life. I currently work part time and am on call as needed, so my schedule is pretty flexible and I have plenty of time to spend with the dogs I care for. At home, my own dogs go out for walks at least twice a day, and I make sure they get lots of exercise, playtime, attention, and potty breaks throughout the day. On weekends, I’m usually home most of the time, so the dogs get even more company and care. I’m also home most evenings, so your dog won’t be left alone for long stretches. I really enjoy sending photo and message updates throughout the day too, so you can see how your pup is doing and feel at ease while you’re away. I always try to follow each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible because I know that helps them feel safe, relaxed, and happy. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my main focus. I take time to learn each dog’s routine and personality so they can feel relaxed and at home with me. In my home, dogs are treated like part of the family and are always supervised. I only take a small number of dogs at a time so I can give each one plenty of attention, and I can separate them if needed to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. I make sure they get regular potty breaks, walks, fresh water, and lots of love throughout the day. I also send photo and message updates so you can see how they’re doing and feel at ease while you’re away. I truly care for every dog like they’re my own and want them to feel happy, safe, and loved while in my care.
About: Growing up, we always had a family dog, so I approach my care as if your pet is a member of my family. My experience began in college when I would housesit/dogsit for a family near my campus who needed care for their dog when they went out of town or couldn't be home on time. Their dog needed medication, so I was responsible for feeding and administering the medication. Throughout the years, I've helped out friends and family and have been a certified Rover sitter for about three years. I work remote with a flexible work schedule. I take walks at different times of the day, so adding your pet's care to my day is not a problem. I would love for your dog to join me on my walks or visit with them during the day for companionship and playtime. ***NOTE: I am also able to provide doggy daycare in your home rather than mine if that works better for you. My neighborhood is great for walks with the ability to stay on quieter streets if your dog prefers less traffic noise. Regarding care in your home, I am happy to follow all instructions that keep your pet comfortable in their space. I find it very important to keep your dog's schedule as normal as possible to avoid any distress while you are away.
“Sophia is the best! My dog, Karl, is not always great with new people. He took to Sophia right away and was so excited every time she came over to walk him. He now has a new BFF in her and we will definitely be booking with her again! Thanks Sophia for taking such good care of of Karl while I was away! 🩷”

About: I look forward to sharing my love and attention with pets whose people need a helping hand. I grew up with multiple cats and dogs and became responsible for my own dog at 12. Together my dog and I successfully completed her Canine Good Citizen training where I learned about effective motivation and discipline, animal safety and public etiquette. Throughout my life, I have regularly volunteered with local animal shelters to assist with dog walking and cat socialization and recently I have been helping my housemate with her dog boarding business. I am working part time this summer with flexible hours that give me lots of free time and availability for pet care. I am an active person and would love to walk or jog with your pup. Safety always comes first. Beyond that, each pet is unique and I prefer to follow owner guidelines and routines that make their pet most comfortable. Having your person go away can be very stressful for a pet, so I always do my best to be attentive to their needs while maintaining a calm and familiar environment.

“Im a nurse and love that during my 12 hr shifts my girl Dani gets her afternoon walk. Priscilla’s Top tier service and flexibility makes apartment life without a yard a whole lot easier. Awesome pictures and communication. Very happy and satisfied customer here.”

“Jessica is incredible with our mid-large pit, Kaiya! She is a true professional, is extremely knowledgeable in dog behavior, and is excellent at handling Kaiya’s excitement on walks.”

“Vezoth (Vickie) has been walking my Lumen, on a weekly basis, for 3 months. She took a vacation and we're so glad she's back! I can tell that Lumen really enjoys their late afternoon walks. And when it's hot, Vickie uses the doggie cooling vest to ensure Lumen stays comfortable and stills gets a nice walk. Thank you!”

About: I have been taking care of pets since I was 10 years old. I have personally lived with 5 cats during my life time and have taken care of dogs outside of my house for friends and family. Of those 5 cats, 3 I have taken care of until they passed away, so I know how to take care of both young and older animals. I am currently a behavior therapist for children with autism. I am a very patient and calm person that extends to both my personal and professional life. It is very important to me to get to have a good relationship with the pet that I am taking care of. I currently work part time as a behavioral therapist for children with autism. I am completely free on the weekends and have time early afternoon and late at night on weekdays to do drop ins or stay the night. I am more than willing to follow any care that is required for the pet in question. I will take the time the play with them, take them on walks, give them food, and medicine if that is something they need. I will make sure they treat your home respectfully as I know from experience that cats and dogs alike enjoy doing things with furniture that they are not supposed to. I will always make sure that your pet is happy and comfortable when around me.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Pasadena
I can see why Lijuan has so many great reviews. She is so sweet and communicative. My fiance and I got engagement photos done and Lijuan agreed to meet us at city hall last minute to walk coop and take him home so he could be in some of the photos at the beginning. She was so kind and flexible and she gave us a ton of photos and updates from the walk!

I can’t recommend Adrew enough. I hired him while I was recovering from surgery, and he consistently went above and beyond what I expected. He wasn’t just there to walk my dog; he showed genuine care for both Draco and me. He checked in several times to see how my recovery was going and even asked if there was anything else he could help with. That level of kindness and thoughtfulness is noticeable. What really stood out was how much effort Adrew put into getting to know Draco. He asked about his personality, routines, likes, and quirks so he could tailor his approach. It’s clear he wants to provide the best experience for every dog he works with. Draco is a 155-pound Cane Corso, and while he’s incredibly loving, he requires an experienced and confident handler. From day one, Adrew demonstrated exactly that. I never had to worry because it was obvious he knew how to handle large, powerful breeds while still treating Draco with patience and respect. He also kept me updated after every walk and shared thoughtful observations about Draco’s behavior and overall well-being. I appreciated how attentive and engaged he was, rather than just completing the walk and moving on. On top of all that, Adrew was always punctual, flexible whenever my schedule changed, professional, respectful, and easy to communicate with. It’s clear that he takes pride in what he does, and it shows in every interaction. If you’re looking for someone reliable and attentive who truly cares about the dogs he works with, I wholeheartedly recommend Adrew. I’ll absolutely be booking him again.

Sofia has not known Ollie that long. but he is very comfortable with her. She listens to his over anxious human (me) and she is attentive, conscientious. calm, and observant to his need for structure. . Its such a relief to have my boy in tbe hands of someone who respects his terrier nature and little big dog attitude. She will be a great doctor!
I have a large breed dog, and I really appreciate how Olga consistently gets Dudley out for at least a 1.5 mile walk (60 min) during each of her visits. It helps with his energy and anxiety to get solid walks in. We also have to pup proof the gate since he throws his body against it to get out. Olga understands this and has had to problem solve on the fly. We will continue to work with Olga as the summer approaches.

Katie is wonderful! She is so sweet, patient and gentle with our senior border collie. I can tell that he is loving his walks with her when I'm not home. She follows instructions very diligently and even picks up my mail off the floor! (without my request, very considerate!) I highly recommend Katie, she will treat your baby like her own.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
