“I have a Great Dane who is very reactive to people and moving objects. I needed a walker in an emergency and contacted rover and choose Julien to walk him 2 times a day. I was worried at first however after our meet and greet I felt confident with my choice. Julien was perfect! He handled my precious dog with ease and confidence. Even when my dog did a few naughty things in my house he kindly took action and handled the problem as well as notified me and help correct the issue. Moving forward I would choose Julian for all of my needs walking Siren.”
“Kyle is a great dog walker. He provided photos and updates on my pup. I trusted him to give my pup the best care, always looking out for his best interest. I highly recommend Kyle.”

About: Animals have been a big part of my life since I was little! I’ve trained all my dogs with basic commands and often help friends with theirs. My dog is now a senior, so I understand the special care and patience older pets need as well My schedule is flexible since I work remotely, so I have plenty of time to play with and care for your dog or cat! I usually take dogs for walks around the neighborhood every 4 hours, but I’m happy to adjust based on your pet’s needs. I treat every pet like my own! Whether they stay at my place or I care for them in their home, I make sure they feel loved, comfortable, and safe. I stick to their normal schedule for feeding, walks, and playtime, and I always give them lots of attention and affection. I also like to send regular updates and photos so you can see how they’re doing
About: I have taken care of dogs from 5 lbs up to 92 lbs. All dogs have big hearts! I currently have a senior special needs dog, so being attentive is natural. I will always ask for allergies or special needs your pet may have. I am currently working from home, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pups! I am currently available 6 days a week. I have a senior dog that can provide company for your dog. Small or long walks are fine. I can also crate a dog, if needed.
“Shirley was amazing taking my dog on walks in the middle of the day. My dog is very high energy and she was great handling his big personality! She went above and beyond to give my dog great walks!”

“Lijuan was on time, reliable, and gentle with both of my pets. She seemed to really enjoy spending time with my dog on his walk and was accommodating and respectful of our routines and rules (no shoes in the house, wiping paws after walk, putting him back into the crate, and using treats to help guide him on the walk). She even made a little video with some of the cute photos she took of him. I felt reassured and feel like I can trust Lijuan. She was responsive to all of my messages and concerns.”

“Carlos was fantastic with our pup, who has some behavioral issues. He’s thoughtful and communicative, putting me at ease right away. Our high-energy pup came back tired, which is a minor miracle.”

“Brittany did an excellent job walking my dog Charlie. She was very punctual and treated Charlie with the utmost care, making sure that he was well taken care of. I highly recommend her for anyone who wants or need a sitter/walker”

“Courtney had a great first walk with our Dutch shepherd Sergio. She was on time and able to get him leashed up easily. He responds really well to her calm demeanor.”

“Lori was great at communicating. She was sweet with our dog, Zara, and Zara seemed to like her. We had hired her for a walk, and we look forward to using her to stay with Zara at a future date.”

“Dean is incredible! I can’t tell you how detailed and helpful, attentive and prompt Dean is! If Dean isn’t available I second guess if I should even go out of town!!”

About: I've had my own dogs and cats for most of my life ranging from easy going to skittish and temperamental. I've been a go to pet carer for family, friends, and for hire since I was a teenager. I have experience with pets with complex dietary needs, medication regiments, very shy animals who don't deal well with being apart from their families, and high energy critters who need lots of stimulation. I treat them all with the patience and kindness they deserve while they are apart from their owners. I'm not living with a pet for the first time in a long time and miss I am working part time, which leaves me very flexible to care for your pets on your schedule as needed for drop in care or longer stays with your pet in their own home including nights, weekends, and overnights. I have a spacious hatchback that I can use to transport your pets. I cannot care for pets in my own home due to a highly allergic roommate, but I can fetch pets and take them wherever they need to be.
“Stephanie is great. She’s walked our new pup for us while we are at work. Always very responsive, leaves great pictures, and the Rover “report card” for walks is so cute! Just like daycare you know what your dog did while you were gone.”

“Amanda has a lot of patience when it comes to walking dogs — particularly my senior Cushing’s pup who can sometimes be stubborn about her midday stroll. Still, it hasn’t taken much for her to bond with my baby! I look forward to continuing to use her services!”

About: Hi! I’m Taylor — an animal lover with 10+ years of experience and 5 years as a veterinary technician. I’m comfortable caring for all pets, from dogs and cats to exotics, and I’m trained to give medications and handle most behavioral challenges. Your pets’ safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priority. My schedule is extremely flexible, which means I can be available whenever you and your pets need me. Whether it’s holidays, early mornings, or evenings, I’m here to help. When caring for someone’s pet in their home, I always follow their routine as closely as possible to keep the pet comfortable and stress-free. I make sure they have fresh food and water, give any needed medications, provide walks or playtime, and keep their space clean. I also send updates and photos so owners feel connected while they’re away. My goal is to maintain a safe, calm, and familiar environment where each pet feels secure and cared for.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Pasadena
Courtney was a fantastic and caring dog sitter for our dog. She has a lot of great experience with dogs, including larger dogs which our dog is. She was very sweet with him and although we were away, my mother said that Fiddle came to be excited for her to come. Couldn’t recommend her more highly! I hope to rebook with her again soon.

Jackie is incredible and soooo sweet and kind. She has been amazing with Leo and Juji! We absolutely love all the photos and videos she sends during the walk. It always give us peace of mind and make our day. It’s clear she genuinely cares about them, and they always come home happy and well-exercised. She’s reliable, communicative, and treats our pups like they’re her own. We highly recommend Jackie to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog walker!

I can see why Lijuan has so many great reviews. She is so sweet and communicative. My fiance and I got engagement photos done and Lijuan agreed to meet us at city hall last minute to walk coop and take him home so he could be in some of the photos at the beginning. She was so kind and flexible and she gave us a ton of photos and updates from the walk!

Sofia has not known Ollie that long. but he is very comfortable with her. She listens to his over anxious human (me) and she is attentive, conscientious. calm, and observant to his need for structure. . Its such a relief to have my boy in tbe hands of someone who respects his terrier nature and little big dog attitude. She will be a great doctor!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
