About: New to Rover but not to pet care! I grew up with dogs and used to pet sit and dog walk for friends and neighbors. I'm comfortable with little and big dogs and everything in between. I even trained my dog in agility as a teenager! I'm currently a fourth year medical student at USC. My schedule is flexible as I am on elective rotations and have many days or parts of days that are free. Happy to do dog walks around the neighborhood, at parks, or local hikes/trails. About: I’m reliable, attentive, and genuinely care about the animals I watch. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and make sure they’re safe and comfortable while in my care I have a senior dog of my own, so I’m very familiar with routines, medications, and taking things at an older pet’s pace. Over the years I’ve watched dogs, cats, turtles, birds, snakes, and just about anything else you can think of. I spent many years as a teacher, but recently made the decision to step into a slower pace of life. Now I’m available daily for pet visits or dogs walks. I love being able to give animals the calm, consistent attention they deserve. I have experience with all kinds of dogs since I have been walking dogs professionally on WAG. Over the years, I've learned some training techniques including walking techniques (dogs that pull). Lori has been walking my fearful senior chihuahua for a few months now and when i went away recently she helped a friend who was housesitting for me by walking my other dog a nervous touch sensitive but also rambunctious puppy. I heard only good things from the housesitter and Lori updated me on how everything was going with the dogs. She is patient with my nervous dogs and I felt more at ease knowing she was helping to care for them while I was away.
