About: I have adopted 2 dogs and 3 cats over the last 15 years! I’ve always treated my animals like children—and I’ll give yours the same care! My dog of 14 years, Moses, had several physical ailments in his final years, including Degenerative Disc Disease (genetic) and blindness (old-age), so I became quite adept at administering daily oral medication to dogs. I am gentle with all animals, and especially so with senior animals. Both Moses and my cat, Petunia (9), had/have anxiety, so I am also very comfortable with navigating sensitive emotional responses in pets. As I have only ever adopted my own pets, I know first-hand how far love, understanding, and—above all—patience can go! I care for my own 2 cats daily and took care of my senior dog, Moses, nearly every day of his 15-year-long life! It feels incredibly natural to me to focus on pet care every single day! Not only am I used to caring for my own pets, as well as clients’ pets and friends’ pets, I was also a professional real estate agent for 6 years! I am used to caring for other people’s homes—and that includes respecting the environments of others, building and maintaining full trust and transparency, and ensuring the continued safety of everyone present.

About: You can feel secure leaving your precious pooch in my hands; I am reliable and responsible. I’ve rescued five large breed dogs and trained them all the way from sit. Huskies and Pitties are my specialty because I love a challenge, and I’m highly active. The key to these breeds is to drain their energy! Let me get your pup to match your energy level when you get home from a long day at work 🐶 I an ADHD artist who spends most of their time creating in an outdoor studio, so I am home all day. Frequent walking breaks clear my mind and get my creative juices focused & flowing. Therefore, your pal will get a lot of activity boarding with me because in between walk breaks, we will play tug, chase or fetch in my large yard (or yours) while I paint. My yard is 6000k square feet of mostly turf with 6ft fence minimum all the way around. Huskies are notorious escape artists, so I’ve had plenty of help dog proofing any potential escape routes over the course of loving my last 3 howling sass masters 😅 I currently have one friendly Husky to keep your furry friend company. We also have a large crate (3’x2.5’) available to secure pets if need be. Lastly, there are 2 air-conditioned structures on our property, so animals can be comfortably separated should personalities clash for any reason.

16. Jessica S.
“Jessica has a great passion for all types of animals. She has experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, small creatures, lizards and more. She does not discriminate with her care giving and is respectful of each pet's needs. She's a joy to have taking care of your animal.”

17. Mark N.

“We have been taking our dog to Mark's for a couple of years now and we feel lucky and grateful to have found him. Our dog Katsu is kind of high strung and picky and had not done so well at a couple of other places before we found Mark, who he LOVES. It's because Mark and his family are gentle and fun and the dogs know it. Our whole family is better off because Mark and his family give us that peace of mind that Katsu is well taken care of when we can't be with him.”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve grown up caring for pets and helping animals in need whenever I could. Over the years, I’ve looked after the dogs and cats of friends and family, and I was lucky to have a wonderful dog for 13 years growing up. Now, I have a 1-year-old rescue cat who brings me so much joy. With experience in feeding, bathing, training, walking, hiking, and playtime, I’m excited to provide loving, reliable care for your pets as well! I’m a freelance graphic designer and digital business owner, so I have a flexible schedule and work mostly from home. This gives me the freedom to easily accommodate your pet’s needs, whether it's pet sitting, walking, or housesitting. I'm based in South Pasadena and happy to adjust to your schedule. Thank you for considering me! I prioritize safety, trust, and a comfortable environment for every pet I care for. When house-sitting, I follow the pet's routine closely, ensuring they feel secure and settled in their own environment. I maintain a clean space and am always attentive to any special instructions or needs the pet or owner may have. Your pet's well-being and happiness are my top priorities!

19. Avery C.
About: Former vet tech, certified animal handler, and experienced pet-sitter seeks fluffy neighborhood furballs in need of extra attention!! Whether your pup needs a walk or your cat needs a cuddle- I’ve got you. I’m available for drop-ins, day hikes, and overnight pet sitting in the comfort of your home (the least stressful option for your pet while you’re away). I know that many animals don’t do well (or simply can’t be) boarded, but busy lives mean we often need to leave them behind when we travel or work long hours. I’m here to offer you peace of mind knowing they’ll be safe & sound in their own home, being looked after with the upmost of professional care, love, and attention. While I’m new to Rover, I’ve been pet-sitting for private clients and friends furever- see what I did there 😀. I spent many years living in places where I wanted but wasn't allowed to have pets, so spoiling other's was the next best thing. I also grew up in a home full of pets and my first job as a kid was volunteering for the local animal shelter. I went on to train professionally as an animal handler for film & television and to work as an emergency triage and surgical veterinary assistant. I cherish every opportunity to get to know a new animal of any kind, and to help them feel safe & secure, loved, and respected by another human. I have years of experience and expertise working with animals of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, from teeny tiny kittens needing bottle feeding every hour, to senior pups on special diets, diabetic felines, giant lazy lap dogs, pampered dachshunds, wild terriers, loving pit bulls, timid house cats, and random rescues still in need of training. Please contact me if you need a reliable, responsible, professional pet-sitter with years of experience and a genuine love for all animals. I offer 30-minute neighborhood walks or hour-long nature hikes for active dogs, play-time visits, care and feeding for felines and full pet/plant/house sitting services in the South Pasadena/San Marino area. I work remotely, have a flexible schedule, and availability to take dogs on walks or make house visits for feeding or check-ins at various times and days. The safety and well being of your pet is my first priority. You’ll never see me scrolling through TikTok while walking a dog or otherwise disengaged- my eyes and ears are always on them to ensure they are getting the best of our time together. Dogs are always leashed while outside the home property (unless authorized for enclosed dog park play) and pets will only be allowed in areas approved by owners. For feline visits- playtime, cuddle time, or grooming are always included. I won’t just fill the food bowl and leave, I’ll entice them into chasing toys, or offer up a lap for warmth, comfort, and soothing pets. If they are scared of strangers (like mine is) I’ll simply sit quietly with them, letting them know they’re safe and never force an interaction that makes them anxious or uncomfortable.
