About: Hi, I’m Steven — a retired restaurant manager who brings the same level of responsibility, consistency, and attention to detail to pet care. I’m calm, patient, and dependable, which helps dogs feel safe and relaxed with me. I already dogsit most of the year, and many of my regular clients encourage me to open up more availability on Rover so more owners can benefit from the care I provide. I do especially well with dogs who prefer steady routines, gentle handling, and clear communication. Whether your dog is energetic or more laid-back, I focus on providing reliable, attentive care and making sure they feel comfortable and well looked after at all times. For boarding, your loved one would be staying in a dog-free fenced-in home, allowing for a calm, low-stress environment and more individualized attention. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I’m retired and have very open availability. I don’t juggle other work commitments, so your pet’s schedule becomes my schedule. This allows me to be flexible with feeding times, walks, medication needs, and companionship throughout the day. About: I've had dogs all my life, more specifically German Shepherds. They are a beautifully misunderstood breed that has made me the girl I am today. I have a deep love for working line breeds and will always see them as my protectors. Growing up with big dogs has taught me not to be afraid of them, but how to adapt to them. We have always had a few big dogs with at least one little guy in the pack. Summer of COVID I took in a husky/shepherd mix that became MY first dog, as stubborn as he is, he is just a gentle giant. 5 years later and we took in a Belgian Malinois and whoa was I in for a challenge. I heard these dogs are like shepherds but on crack, but I learned how to train this breed and he is the most lovely dog I have ever had in my life. In my lifetime I've cared for all kinds of breeds including the; German Shepherd, Chow Chow, Pitbull, Chihuahua, Poodle, Husky, Dachshund, Labrador, and lastly the Belgian Malinois. No matter the size, personality, or breed, I would absolutely love to help you with your pets needs whether ititss to check in, walk or play. I can do walks or check-ins Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings preferably before noon. Weekends I am unavailable in the morning but willing to do walks or check ins in the late evening. In my home I have 2 big dogs that will be separated from your pup depending on whether you would like your pup to be kept inside or out. I can accommodate to both.

About: I grew up with dogs, stray cats, birds and reptiles. Stuffing medication into treats, giving eye drops, ear drops and nail clipping are all part of pet care. For some reason, dogs like to sit on my lap. I work full time and am available on weekends and some afternoons. Home stays are on a case by case basis as I have animals of my own to care for. Pets are cared for in their home and neighborhood. Please let me know if there are favorite places near home your pet enjoys exploring. Your pet and I will play games, read books, brush coats and keep each other company.

About: I have experience caring for 2 dogs and a cat in the same household growing up. The cat was twice the size of both dogs, which made it funny when the cat would start chasing the dog around. I was just recently laid off and I am currently unemployed. I'm home all day except for the times I'm going for a job interview. I usually walk the dogs around 6:00 AM. Feed them. Give them water. Then around 3:00PM to walk them again. And one more time around 9-10 so they can get a bathroom break before bed. Last 3 months, when I lived in my friend's house, I would regularly walk his dog 2-3 times a day. I would sometimes cook meals for myself and the dog. I learned that garbanzo beans are really healthy for dogs. So I would make myself some beans and share it my friend's dog. It seemed to help her go potty smoothly too, thanks to all the awesome fiber it has.

About: I am very patient and I love to play! My schedule is extremely flexible, I will be there for your doggy whenever they need me! I work from home so my schedule is very flexible when it comes to dog care or walking. Please let me know ahead of time. I cannot care for my clients pets at my home, but I am available to sit at their home whenever they need me to be there.

About: I care for 2 big dogs in our family, one 7 year old special needs Aussie Shepard / Pointer mix, Kota, who was born deaf and 1 year old Scooby, a Lab / German Shepard mix who we are fostering. I have experience in caring for dogs who may struggle with seeing and hearing. I love all dogs the same! My schedule is pretty free and I'm currently looking to fill my time throughout the week and weekends caring for dogs. Open M-F while folks are at work and the weekend, except Sunday. I'm happy to follow any specific instructions of care that you may have in your home, whether it be crating or creating separate feeding spaces/ sleeping spaces as requested. I'm also happy to walk the dogs in near by neighborhoods and familiar parks. As mentioned, I do have a deaf dog and I so I am very mindful when walking all dogs, ensuring harnesses and leashes are on tight and always having a mindful pair of eyes to make sure no one steps on glass and eats items from street. Always open to getting to know your dog and their needs.

I prioritize following your instructions and making sure your dog is comfortable and safe with me. I have a deep history as a dog owner. My mom had a knack for picking up strays and taking in fosters, so I have been providing dog care my whole life. I was 9 years old when I first helped raise a litter of bottle babies, and dogs of all sizes and breeds were my brothers and sisters as I grew up. I have had the good fortune of having two soul dogs in my lifetime, one of whom recently passed away from lymphoma and its complications. During our two-year cancer battle, I learned a lot about canine nutrition, care for elderly and disabled dogs, and at-home medication processes including oxygen administration. Dogs are some of our best family members. I love all dogs, and I would love to meet yours! I have a flexible schedule each week. I have a preference for walks in the mornings and afternoons, avoiding the hottest temperatures, but can accommodate a wide range of times. For boarding and overnights, I prioritize listening to your instructions in regards to your dog's preferences, habits, and level of training. If your dog will be comfortable having the run of the house, I am comfortable with allowing them to explore my home as they board with me; alternately, if your dog does better in more contained environments, we can set up your crate, pen, etc or limit their range to one area of the house. We have a small, maintained side yard that dogs are welcome in, but no back yard. When entering a client's home, I will behave with the utmost respect, and only enter areas of the home necessary for instructed dog care. For overnight stays at clients' homes, I reserve the discretion to limit my hours depending on any safety concerns, but will not change plans without good faith attempts at communicating with you to find solutions that work for us both.
