“We feel very lucky to have met Kristine! She is always so caring and patient with our cat Uyu and it’s such a relief to know that Uyu is in great hands. We can’t recommend Kristine enough!”

About: I’ve always had dogs in my life but professionally speaking, I’ve worked in doggy daycare facilities and overnight boarding for about 5 years now. I also have boarded dogs at my house, taken them on walks daily, bathed them if needed, and taken them to doggy daycare if they’re comfortable enough for it. I enjoy what I do and open up my home to any happy pup that needs watching or walking for the day or week, however long my services are needed. I work full time at a daycare facility, if the dogs are comfortable, they can come along with me and play for my whole shift. Afterwards I take the dogs on a walk, around 30 minutes to an hour depending on size and energy. I’m home every night for playtime, quality time, and feedings. I have a fenced backyard for your dog(s) to play in. I also have a crate if needed and doggy for with toys for them to play with. If I’m ever out of the house with any pet I make sure to keep them leashed and close to me to ensure safety and no breakaways.
About: Caring for dogs is second nature to me—I treat every pup like one of my own. Whether your dog needs daily medication, special injections, or just some extra patience and love, I’ve got it covered. I’m experienced with training puppies, understanding their needs, and keeping things calm and structured to help them thrive. I know every dog is different, so I adapt to their routine, quirks, and comfort level. You can expect thoughtful updates, lots of love, and a safe, cozy home where your pup will be treated like family. Whether it’s a playful puppy or a senior needing a little extra care, I’m here to make sure they feel happy and secure while you’re away. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life—I have two dogs of my own, so our routine is already built around walks, playtime, and plenty of snuggles. Someone is always home, so your pup will never be left alone and will get plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. I’m available for boarding on both weekdays and weekends, making it easy for you to plan trips or getaways knowing your dog has a safe, loving place to stay anytime. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with a secure balcony and plenty of nearby walking paths in a quiet residential area. For boarding, your pup will enjoy a cozy indoor space, regular potty breaks, and daily walks tailored to their energy level. Walks are calm, safe, and full of sniffing adventures!

“Sahirah is the best! She is timely, extremely communicative, thorough and super nice!! She makes us feel very confident our cats are being well cared for and loved while we are away. Definitely give her your business!!! We will absolutely book again!”

“Alexandria was THE BEST sitter my cat has ever had! She was punctual, dependable, easy to communicate with, and such a sweetheart! My 15-year-old cat, Miko, has very specific eating instructions and supplements she takes every day. Alex followed directions perfectly while we were gone for a week. I felt so assured that my cat was being taken care of in such a loving way. Alex sent me updates and pictures everyday. Miko doesn’t warm up easily to people immediately, but she bonded with Alex right away! I totally understand why — Alex is a sweet and loving sitter who will take care of your pets with all her heart! I will continue to use her services and refer all my friends and fam to her! <3”

About: My family has had dogs since before I was even born; my family has a particular affinity for medium and large shelter dogs (and one dog that literally walked into our yard and hasn't left). I've been raised to love animals and I've become the type of person that waves at a dog and says, "Hello!" to every dog I drive or walk past. I have a rotation of stray cats that I feed in my yard and it's not uncommon for me to hang out with them while they eat and drink. I also willinging admit to that I've sat outside for significant amounts of time trying to entice new cat friends with squeezy treats. Growing up in an animal-loving environment, I also have experince with dogs and cats of all ages. I've been with several dogs to the end of their time here, and although not as many, a few cats too. I've walked, fed, watered, played with, and pet my dogs almost every day of life. My singular, explicit brag is that I can walk my two 70lbs+ dogs on leash without being dragged around. I've lived with inside cats for over a decade and have fed, watered, cleaned up after, and (stressfully) wrangled them on escape attempts. I'm also a proud, regular cat-sitter to two black cat siblings that would never try to escape, but would definitely sneak a double portion of dinner if I didn't watch them. I'm currently searching for a full-time job and am a partial caretaker for my dad, who increasingly more independent. That being said, my schedule is very flexible! I focus on basic pet needs and health first: food, water, relieving themselves, making sure everyone is safe. Once I know the basics are taken care of, I move on to any specific instructions from clients: training, treats, tasks, etc. And after all those are done, then (if allowed) it's hang out time! Playing, petting, and chilling out are my go to's.

About: I've taken care of a variety of animals throughout my life and have experience with dogs, cats, and other pets of different ages and personalities. As a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment. I am responsible, attentive, and committed to treating every pet as if they were my own. I'm currently on summer break from college, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your pets. I'm available Monday through Friday throughout the day and can provide walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. I have experience caring for pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities. I always follow each pet's routine, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special instructions. Safety is my top priority, and I make sure pets are supervised, comfortable, and well cared for at all times.
About: Hi, I’m Steven— a retired restaurant manager who brings the same level of responsibility, consistency, and attention to detail to pet care. I’m calm, patient, and dependable, which helps dogs feel safe and relaxed with me. I already dogsit most of the year, and many of my regular clients encourage me to open up more availability on Rover so more owners can benefit from the care I provide. I do especially well with dogs who prefer steady routines, gentle handling, and clear communication. Whether your dog is energetic or more laid-back, I focus on providing reliable, attentive care and making sure they feel comfortable and well looked after at all times. For boarding and day care, your loved one would be staying in a dog-free fenced-in home, allowing for a calm, low-stress environment and more individualized attention. I only provide care for one family at a time. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I’m retired and have very open availability. I don’t juggle other work commitments, so your pet’s schedule becomes my schedule. This allows me to be flexible with feeding times, walks, medication needs, and companionship throughout the day. I’m able to give pets the attention and consistency they deserve rather than fitting them in between other obligations. Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid Certified. Your loved one is unique, so I always tailor my care to specific needs and routines. In your home or out, I follow your instructions closely for feeding, walks, medications, and comfort habits so your pet experiences as little disruption as possible. I keep a calm, low-stress environment and prioritize safety at all times — secure double doors, careful leash handling, and close supervision during walks and play. My goal is for your dog to feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for while you’re away.

“So I brought Sammy over to Sylvia’s place and she felt right at home. She took her for a walk and Sammy loved it! Sylvia is a true animal lover it seems and really cared for Sammy during the drop in! I would 100% take Sammy back there!”

“Sydney is the best! I'm such a worrying dog-mom, and she could not have been more perfect. She was highly communicative with me and was very easy to get in touch with. I also love that she is a vet tech. That put my mind at ease the whole time we were away. If she noticed small changes in my dog's behavior she would take precautions and monitored him like a pro. Even my neighbor commented on how wonderful she was and how our dog just fell in love with her. I will use Sydney every time we travel in the future!”

“We hired Alvin to drop in and check our critters during dinner time. He was communicative and Informative the whole time. From informing that he arrived to the house, sent pictures of the animals, and asked questions as needed. We definitely would hire Alvin again!”

Christina took care of our kitties for 8 days while we were away on vacation. I can not begin to explain how attentive, caring and kind she was. She went out of her way to make sure our cats were happy and was super communicative throughout the whole process. During her meet and greet visit, she listened carefully to our instructions and asked many questions. Which reassured me that I was leaving my cats in capable and loving hands. Without a doubt I will be contacting Christina for my future trips. Thank you for everything.

Thank you again, Nick. This is our second time booking with Nick. He's always dependable, thorough, and great with the dogs. We'll be a regular return customer for as long as he's still available. I'm glad we've found a sitter we can trust and count on to be available when we need him.

Amy is a very attentive and experienced sitter who dropped in on my pups several times while I was out of town. She sent descriptive updates and gave me peace of mind that everything was in good hands. Sitters as patient and caring as Amy are rare and I would gladly book her again!

Meagan was an absolute treat with my fur baby 🥹 she was so attentive and so gentle with my kitty while I was away on vacation! I loved how she sent over pics and was so easy to communicate with!! I highly highly recommend her and will be booking her again 😆 thank you again!!

Courtney has been absolutely wonderful with Archer. She is incredibly dedicated, thoughtful, and attentive in the way she cares for him. It’s clear that she genuinely takes the time to understand his needs and personality, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. What really stands out is how much she goes the extra mile. Whether it’s taking a bit of extra time to make sure he’s settled, paying attention to the small details, or simply showing up with consistency and care, she never treats it like a checklist. She truly looks out for him. I trust her completely, which is not something I say lightly when it comes to Archer. Knowing he’s in her care means I don’t have to worry, and that’s invaluable. I would absolutely recommend Courtney to anyone looking for someone reliable, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in the well-being of their pet.

I embarked on a trip to Hawaii and was determined to find a skilled vet tech who could assist with bladder expressions for my fur child who is paralyzed . After an extensive search, I was on the verge of giving up, but then I discovered Sydney, who exceeded my expectations in every aspect. WHAT A GEM! She provided exceptional service, displayed professionalism, maintained excellent communication, and submitted detailed daily reports. As a result, I felt completely at ease and relaxed throughout my trip. I strongly recommend Sydney and look forward to booking her services again in the future.

Haley was amazing with our two doggies while we were away. She stopped by for drop-in visits, fed them, and took Charlie out for walks. She always kept us updated on what they were up to and how they were doing, and she sent photos too, which we really appreciated. She also cleaned up after them and kept the house nice and tidy. Communication was easy the whole time, and she even brought our packages inside while we were gone. Our dogs warmed up to her quickly, and we’d absolutely love to use Haley again in the future. 🐶💛

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
