About: I am your friendly, neighborhood, middle-aged auntie that loves and cares for pets and animals. I've grown up with cats, dogs, fish, reptiles, and now poultry. I specialize in dog walks and drop in visits for all of your critters. I mainly conduct all of my own pet chores in the morning, so I can be available for your pet needs later on in the day! I carefully follow instructions to conduct my drop in visits, and I will ask for clarification if something is missing at the home. I can walk dogs and check in on reptiles, fish, mammals, and poultry.
“Sylvia was so amazing with my anxious pup! I needed her to be let out while I had a couple long days at work and Sylvia went above and beyond, she sent pictures and updates to make it a worry-free experience. Would definitely recommend!”

“Michelle and Jennifer are very professional and detail oriented. They did a great job of keeping my babies fed and on their medication schedule. They also sent photos and videos, providing an update for each visit. They’re punctual and dependable, everything you want when you can’t be home with your fur babies! I will reach out to them again in the future!!”

About: Hi, I’m Steven— a retired restaurant manager who brings the same level of responsibility, consistency, and attention to detail to pet care. I’m calm, patient, and dependable, which helps dogs feel safe and relaxed with me. I already dogsit most of the year, and many of my regular clients encourage me to open up more availability on Rover so more owners can benefit from the care I provide. I do especially well with dogs who prefer steady routines, gentle handling, and clear communication. Whether your dog is energetic or more laid-back, I focus on providing reliable, attentive care and making sure they feel comfortable and well looked after at all times. For boarding and day care, your loved one would be staying in a dog-free fenced-in home, allowing for a calm, low-stress environment and more individualized attention. I only provide care for one family at a time. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I’m retired and have very open availability. I don’t juggle other work commitments, so your pet’s schedule becomes my schedule. This allows me to be flexible with feeding times, walks, medication needs, and companionship throughout the day. I’m able to give pets the attention and consistency they deserve rather than fitting them in between other obligations. Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid Certified. Your loved one is unique, so I always tailor my care to specific needs and routines. In your home or out, I follow your instructions closely for feeding, walks, medications, and comfort habits so your pet experiences as little disruption as possible. I keep a calm, low-stress environment and prioritize safety at all times — secure double doors, careful leash handling, and close supervision during walks and play. My goal is for your dog to feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for while you’re away.
“Sahirah was a lifesaver. After our sitter canceled last minute, she jumped in and took excellent care of our cats for a full week. We received daily photos and updates, and it was clear they were in great hands. We will absolutely book her again.”

“Amanda was awesome! She dropped in to check on my cat and took great care of everything. She sent pics, gave me quick updates, and my cat looked super happy and relaxed with her. I felt totally at ease while I was away. Definitely booking her again. Highly recommend!”

“Lauriane was amazing! She was so patient and kind with our dogs and they seemed really comfortable with her right off the bat. It’s never easy being away from our pups, but knowing they’re in such good hands made me feel so much better. We will definitely reach out again!”

“Arisa is HANDS DOWN one of the BEST care taker of Daisy my little 9lb poodle. As someone who works in the animal emergency hospital and a dog trainer, it's often so hard to trust your own dog with just anyone. Arisa is very detailed oriented and punctual when she took care of my dog. Arisa understood and respected my dog's spacial awareness and triggers when she took her on a walk. For safety concern, Arisa also is careful when letting your dog greet other stranger dogs, and took my wishes into consideration when I didn't want my small dog to greet other dogs on leash. As a small poodle, my dog is also very sensitive and a picky eater. She often gets upset stomach and Arisa took all of that I consideration. Arisa is soft spoken and very gentle with little dogs and follows the feeding instructions carefully. Overall eventhough Daisy (my dog) is picky with people, she absolutely adores and loves Arisa. Arisa is the only dog sitter Daisy would allow near her.”

“Lovvveed Courtney as my cat parent!!! I had a big feeling since she has her own cats that she is a natural caretaker and from the ❤️ - I was right. She was so receptive & I TRUSTED her without meeting to leave a key to drop into my home while I was gone on a trip. She was engaged with love for my loving boy who doesn’t like being alone - and gave me a report and pics as I asked aha so lucky to have you Courtney !! Will absolutely use her for future trips”

“Alexandria was THE BEST sitter my cat has ever had! She was punctual, dependable, easy to communicate with, and such a sweetheart! My 15-year-old cat, Miko, has very specific eating instructions and supplements she takes every day. Alex followed directions perfectly while we were gone for a week. I felt so assured that my cat was being taken care of in such a loving way. Alex sent me updates and pictures everyday. Miko doesn’t warm up easily to people immediately, but she bonded with Alex right away! I totally understand why — Alex is a sweet and loving sitter who will take care of your pets with all her heart! I will continue to use her services and refer all my friends and fam to her! <3”

“Gabriella was super responsive and gave me lots of details on how my cat was doing, which helped assuage some of my anxiety while traveling! Very grateful to have her care for my cat and will be booking again.”

“We hired Alvin to drop in and check our critters during dinner time. He was communicative and Informative the whole time. From informing that he arrived to the house, sent pictures of the animals, and asked questions as needed. We definitely would hire Alvin again!”

About: Hi there! My name is Michele, and I understand how important it is to find reliable caretakers you can trust. I approach dogs with care and kindness, and I pay attention. I prioritize following your instructions and making sure your dog is comfortable and safe with me. I have a deep history as a dog owner. My mom had a knack for picking up strays and taking in fosters, so I have been providing dog care my whole life. I was 9 years old when I first helped raise a litter of bottle babies, and dogs of all sizes and breeds were my brothers and sisters as I grew up. I have had the good fortune of having two soul dogs in my lifetime, one of whom recently passed away from lymphoma and its complications. During our two-year cancer battle, I learned a lot about canine nutrition, care for elderly and disabled dogs, and at-home medication processes including oxygen administration. Dogs are some of our best family members. I love all dogs, and I would love to meet yours! I have a flexible schedule each week. I have a preference for walks in the mornings and afternoons, avoiding the hottest temperatures, but can accommodate a wide range of times. For boarding and overnights, I prioritize listening to your instructions in regards to your dog's preferences, habits, and level of training. If your dog will be comfortable having the run of the house, I am comfortable with allowing them to explore my home as they board with me; alternately, if your dog does better in more contained environments, we can set up your crate, pen, etc or limit their range to one area of the house. We have a small, maintained side yard that dogs are welcome in, but no back yard. When entering a client's home, I will behave with the utmost respect, and only enter areas of the home necessary for instructed dog care. For overnight stays at clients' homes, I reserve the discretion to limit my hours depending on any safety concerns, but will not change plans without good faith attempts at communicating with you to find solutions that work for us both.
“Priscilla's awesome! This is our first time hiring a sitter to check on Cody instead of putting him in daycare. We were a little anxious at first, since Cody usually don't like strangers in the house. He loved Priscilla! She brought organic, freeze dried treats for him during the meet and great, and we could tell right away she definitely love and have a passion for dogs. During the visit she played with Cody and sent us lots of pictures and videos. Thank you Priscilla for taking such good care of Cody, you are the best! :)”

Faye is all you could ask for in a pet sitter and more! She went above and beyond in caring for our two cats and we could not have felt more at ease knowing they were in her hands. She gave them attention, stimulation, and attended to all of their needs. She kept us well informed of how they were doing and even went to great lengths to battle the ant colony that decide to invade their food dishes while we were away. We are so grateful for all of Faye’s efforts and care and will definitely be booking her again in the future!

Amanda was very helpful and accommodating while taking care of my two cats. She always sent photo updates and would let me know of any issues. She would try to plan ahead for the visits and was also patient while working with me to troubleshoot any unexpected issues. I would definitely have Amanda take care of my boys again and would recommend her to others

Christina took care of our kitties for 8 days while we were away on vacation. I can not begin to explain how attentive, caring and kind she was. She went out of her way to make sure our cats were happy and was super communicative throughout the whole process. During her meet and greet visit, she listened carefully to our instructions and asked many questions. Which reassured me that I was leaving my cats in capable and loving hands. Without a doubt I will be contacting Christina for my future trips. Thank you for everything.

Courtney has been absolutely wonderful with Archer. She is incredibly dedicated, thoughtful, and attentive in the way she cares for him. It’s clear that she genuinely takes the time to understand his needs and personality, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. What really stands out is how much she goes the extra mile. Whether it’s taking a bit of extra time to make sure he’s settled, paying attention to the small details, or simply showing up with consistency and care, she never treats it like a checklist. She truly looks out for him. I trust her completely, which is not something I say lightly when it comes to Archer. Knowing he’s in her care means I don’t have to worry, and that’s invaluable. I would absolutely recommend Courtney to anyone looking for someone reliable, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in the well-being of their pet.

Xiuwen was absolutely wonderful with my cat! She went above and beyond, not only making sure all the basics were taken care of, but also paying close attention to small details like cleaning the food area, refreshing the water frequently, and keeping everything spotless and sending regular and detailed updates. My cat usually takes a few days to warm up to new people, but clearly felt comfortable and cared for from day one. I could tell my cat was in the best hands. I can’t recommend Xiuwen highly enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
