Feel free to reach out with inquiries!*** I have had dogs my entire life, and what can I say — I just love them. I have cared for dogs for 20 years, and even spent a few years training dogs at the American Kennel Club (AKC). I rescued my own pup nearly 10 years ago, and rescued my cat ~5 years ago now-- and have since been equally obsessed with felines. They’re incredibly different animals, with their own way of looking at the world, both of which I respect. Over the years, I have walked and cared for many family's, friends’ and colleagues' dogs and cats of all ages, before opening my network to my neighborhood. ***Key Notes: - Currently, I am open for dog walking and dog/cat drop-ins. Please see all service options (including add-ons) in my profile and feel free to reach out with questions! - For 60-minute walks, depending on location, weather and your comfort level, I can take your pup(s) for a hike or trail-run nearby! - I have a range of experience, from energetic and exercise-craving dogs to elderly pups who require gentle care and a patient, slower speed. I love providing care for either side of the spectrum, and all in between. The bottom line is: the safety of your dog/dogs is my top priority. I know how it is. I’ve used Rover and other services for my dog and cat, and I understand how it feels to entrust another person with your fur-kiddo. I am patient and will give you whatever you need to feel comfortable with me as a caregiver — from answering questions, to a meet-and-greet (in person or on zoom), to picture updates all along the way. Every dog and cat is different, and I want to know what makes your beloved pet unique so I can provide him/her with the best care. I’m a good communicator — from medications to leash/sidewalk politics to triggers and everything in between, you can rest assured we will be on the same page. I treat everyone’s home with the same respect I expect at my own. I also take privacy very seriously. I am always happy to do meet-and-greets at a public park (or similar) before services. “I have to say, I was really nervous about boarding Wally for the first time but Ayman made the experience a breeze. She offered to come meet Wally prior to booking, we talked through his care, etc. When the day came, she took him and he made himself at home quickly. She provided updates daily, often with adorable photos and videos. While Wally was with Ayman, she had to evacute due to the fires and she assured me that Wally was safe and she would take him with her to a safe location. She made a potentially extremely stressuful experience completely stress free for me. Although I hope I never have to leave my boy for that long again, if I ever do I would trust Ayman, no questions asked. About: My own dog is reactive so she tends to get nervous with loud noises and is very wary of dogs. So, throughout the years, I’ve learned to notice specific tells and avoid things that can set her off. I’m also very familiar with dogs that tend to pull as I’ve walked the dogs of multiple friends and family before. I currently have two dogs of my own with one being a toy poodle and black labrador/shepherd mix. Both dogs are completely different from each other as their temperaments differ in which one is dog selective, vocal, and prefers people. The toy poodle is very social with people and doesn’t mind other dogs and is fairly relaxed. I have also done cat sitting when my cousin goes on vacation where I do daily check ins to her home. I am currently looking for a film related job as I begin to learn about my major so I have lots of free time. I am usually available in the mornings to noon. I can even do a bit more after noon. However, I do like to maintain a balance with my own dogs and caring for other people’s pets. Nights are possible mainly on the weekends, preferably Saturdays but depending on my schedule I can be flexible. In a clients home, I would make sure to quickly open or close the door so no pet can rush out and even before doing that I can make sure they are being distracted so they won’t get loose. This still applies to a home with a fence because cats are lithe creatures. I also like to make sure to ask the client if the pet has any behavioral concerns that I should keep in mind and if there is any supplements they have that they would like me to implement into their pet’s meals. Energy levels is always something that I like to inquire about as well so I know what to expect.
