About: I love dogs and take taking care of them very seriously. I love playing with them, walking them, and feeding them. I've taken care of my own dog for three years as well as my friends dog whenever he is away and it's been a blast so far! My philosophy on dog rearing is boundaries, love, and plenty of physical and mental excercise. I am available to dog walk during the mornings and daytime and am available to dog sit overnight weekdays and weekends at my place or yours. My home is medium sized but there is plenty of yard space for your pup to run around. I think your dogs will have a great time with me and you can rest assure that they will be well cared for and loves.
About: ***UPDATE! Opening my profile up to new clients again after about a year, as I have some openings! Feel free to reach out with inquiries!*** I have had dogs my entire life, and what can I say — I just love them. I have cared for dogs for 20 years, and even spent a few years training dogs at the American Kennel Club (AKC). I rescued my own pup nearly 10 years ago, and rescued my cat ~5 years ago now-- and have since been equally obsessed with felines. They’re incredibly different animals, with their own way of looking at the world, both of which I respect. Over the years, I have walked and cared for many family's, friends’ and colleagues' dogs and cats of all ages, before opening my network to my neighborhood. ***Key Notes: - Currently, I am open for dog walking and dog/cat drop-ins. Please see all service options (including add-ons) in my profile and feel free to reach out with questions! - For 60-minute walks, depending on location, weather and your comfort level, I can take your pup(s) for a hike or trail-run nearby! - I have a range of experience, from energetic and exercise-craving dogs to elderly pups who require gentle care and a patient, slower speed. I love providing care for either side of the spectrum, and all in between. The bottom line is: the safety of your dog/dogs is my top priority. I know how it is. I’ve used Rover and other services for my dog and cat, and I understand how it feels to entrust another person with your fur-kiddo. I am patient and will give you whatever you need to feel comfortable with me as a caregiver — from answering questions, to a meet-and-greet (in person or on zoom), to picture updates all along the way. Every dog and cat is different, and I want to know what makes your beloved pet unique so I can provide him/her with the best care. I’m a good communicator — from medications to leash/sidewalk politics to triggers and everything in between, you can rest assured we will be on the same page. I have experience caring for all shapes and sizes: - Chihuahuas and Terriers (my dog Jack is a mix!) - Bernese Mountain Dogs - Border Collie Mixes - Shepherds - Staffy’s - Golden Retrievers - Shelties - Samoyeds - King Charles - Schnauzers - Norwegian Forest Cats - Tabbies I am happy to take on puppies/kittens and can integrate any training you might be working on with your fur-kiddo. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I can accommodate most walks and drop-ins depending on your needs. Just shoot me a request and I’ll get back to you right away. I treat everyone’s home with the same respect I expect at my own. I also take privacy very seriously. I am always happy to do meet-and-greets at a public park (or similar) before services. Again, I get it — you're trusting someone new in your home and with your animals. I want you to feel as comfortable as possible!
“I feel very good about having hired Sabrina for drop-in visits to care for my two cats while I was out of town. Sabrina was professional, reliable, helpful and friendly. She was responsible in performing the necessary tasks. The photos I received put my mind at ease that my cats were in good hands. I would definitely recommend Sabrina and would utilize her services again. Thank you Sabrina!”

“Its easy to leave my 2 boys in the care of Lani. My cats don't warm to people easily. However, Lani has calm, consistent energy with a quiet demeanor in her voice. I'm grateful she has found us! Over and above and very professional.”

“Rachel as always is a wonderful sitter, she responds quickly and puts up with my poor planning. My cats are so very comfortable with her and that’s why I keep asking Rachel to look after them! She is so amazing!”

“Sahirah did a fantastic job watching my fur babies while I was out of town. We did a meet and greet before the actual booking so she could meet my little monsters. During the booking she sent me updates and pictures which are always appreciated since I miss my babies when I’m away. She even got my shy boy Cat to come out from hiding, which is a huge accomplishment!! Would recommend her and hope to book her in the future!!!”

“We are so lucky to have found Emily to do drop in visits for our two dogs while we went on our trip. She took great care of our dogs and was a fantastic and quick communicator, sending us updates and pictures after each visit. You can tell she loves animals and we felt like our dogs were in good hands. This was our first time using Rover and it was a lovely experience thanks to Emily. We look forward to using her again for future trips!”

“Courtney is the best cat sitter! She did daily drop-in visits for my kitty for over a month and she was awesome. My boy can get quite anxious at times but Courtney was always able to read his mood and adjust accordingly. She always went above and beyond to make sure my little guy was ok - she even went back to check on him after we had an earthquake! My kitty absolutely loved Courtney's visits and I couldn't be happier with the care and attention she gave him. I highly recommend Courtney and will definitely book services with her again in the future if she's available!”

Adriana is the best, y'all. Communicative, professional, reliable, and so sweet with my two cats. She clearly put a lot of love and care into the visits and did not skimp on play time during our week-long trip. I couldn't recommend her more to anyone looking for a caring soul to look after their pets. We will definitely be booking with her whenever we can.

Tamara was an amazing sitter and was so kind to respond to a last minute request! My usually-shy cat was quick to come out of hiding and play with her after meals, which made me extremely happy to see 🥹 Tamara took such good care of her and made sure all my cat’s little eating and care habits were met! Thank you again!!

So happy we could rely on Jessica to take care of our two kitties while we were traveling. She sent us lots of adorable photos and gave them the pets and love they needed. She went above and beyond and brought in packages and was always great at communicating with us.

Enqi sitted my cat Jiro for the same day request and last minute emergency. He was very patient and communicative throughout the sitting. I saw my cat feeling calm and himself after I got him back. I appreciated his help and would book him again! Highly recommended.

Xiuwen was absolutely wonderful with my cat! She went above and beyond, not only making sure all the basics were taken care of, but also paying close attention to small details like cleaning the food area, refreshing the water frequently, and keeping everything spotless and sending regular and detailed updates. My cat usually takes a few days to warm up to new people, but clearly felt comfortable and cared for from day one. I could tell my cat was in the best hands. I can’t recommend Xiuwen highly enough!
Adrienne did an amazing job looking after our cat while we were on vacation. Not only did she give Gertie the care she needed, but she also helped troubleshoot other issues that came up at our house. Very nice, very reliable, she's our first call for pet sitting.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in City Terrace. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
