About: I grew up with both cats and dogs and have a strong understanding of animal body language and positive reinforcement (R+) training. I have experience dogsitting, walking and caring for dogs with a range of energy levels and temperaments. At home, I live with a nervous, high-energy 5-year-old dog, so I’m especially comfortable supporting pets who need structure, calm handling, and a bit of extra understanding. I also spent nearly a decade volunteering with a cat rescue, working with personalities ranging from rambunctious lovers to feral scaredies, but my favorites were always the shy kitties that needed a little bit of extra attention to feel safe. Pet care with me is an inclusive and personalized experience. I want to make sure that your animal receives the exercise and enrichment they need, but that they are also safe at home. This may include checking and refilling water, turning AC on or off at your discretion, feeding, light grooming, or the administration of medication. I am happy to clean up accidents, take out trash, and collect mail while you're out of town. I am also happy to walk at your dog's pace, whether that's a slow sniff walk or an excited stroll, and I can even incorporate training and treats into a walk if you desire. I like to spend some time bonding with both cats and dogs, whether that includes cuddles or play. I trust that you'll book enough time to meet your pet's individual needs. Note, for everyone's safety I will not approach an animal that is wary or aggressive so if your animal is afraid of strangers, please consider booking extra sessions so that your pet can acclimate to my presence (I am also always ready to do a complimentary meet-and-greet for new clients). I am trained in both the dog and cat fear signals, and usually pickup on subtler signs of stress. I will also use my discretion regarding weather conditions - if it's too hot, rainy, or smoky to safely walk your animal I'd be happy to provide them with play and potty breaks closer to home. In addition to Rover's guarantee I am insured and pet CPR certified. I am available most weekdays for drop-in visits and dog walks, and I’m flexible with timing so I can best support your pet’s usual routine and needs. I have a fenced yard and a friendly 5-year-old 40-lb dog that loves to play. At your house, I am willing to work with whatever your needs are. I know every animal is different. Let me know how your pet likes to be approached, what kind of training commands they're familiar with any special care needs needs, such as medication. I prefer to do meet-and-greets with new clients, especially with shy or temperamental animals.

About: I truly enjoy caring for pets and spending time with new furry friends. Walking, playing, and giving them attention is something I find both healing and uplifting. In my free time, I love taking walks at the park near my home, and it’s even better with a furry companion by my side. Whether it’s a playful dog or a cuddly cat, I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and giving them love, attention, and care. Your furry loved one will have a safe, fully fenced yard with plenty of room to run, play, and relax in both the front and back yard. About: I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, from young puppies and kittens to senior pets. I'm comfortable with daily pet care responsibilities, including feeding, cleaning up after pets, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment, administering oral medications and flea treatments, and providing plenty of attention and companionship. What sets me apart is my hands-on experience with a wide variety of pets and situations. I've even assisted pregnant dogs and cats during labor and birth, which has taught me to stay calm, attentive, and responsive when animals need extra care. I'm also always eager to learn and expand my experience with other types of animals. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while giving pet owners peace of mind. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of time to dedicate to pet care and ensure pets receive the attention they deserve. I have a flexible schedule and can often accommodate a variety of care needs, including walks, and drop-in visits. I'm also available on weekends, making it easier to provide care when many pet owners need it most. I do my best to work with each pet owner's schedule and provide reliable, consistent care. At this time, I am unable to host pets in my apartment, but I have experience caring for friends' and family members' pets in their own homes. When caring for pets, I make it a priority to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment where they can relax, play, and feel secure. I carefully follow each pet owner's instructions regarding feeding, medication, exercise, and daily routines to help pets feel as comfortable as possible while their owners are away. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own, ensuring they receive attentive care, companionship, and a safe environment at all times.
“Isabella is fantastic! She is so communicative and great with my pets - she walks my pup Akira and she always cuddles with my cat, Brody when she comes to grab her. She is also understanding as a dog walker to help with scheduling. I highly recommend her!!!! If you want a great animal lover, communicator, and thorough dog walker, you should definitely reach out to her :)”

About: I’ve grown up with pets and have had pets most of my life. I had a Labrador for 6 years and a Chihuahua for 5. I’ve also had two cats for 3 years, and I’ve raised all my pets since they were little puppies and kittens. I love pampering my pets and I’d love the opportunity to pamper yours! I am currently studying at an online college so I have a lot of flexibility with scheduling pet care into my schedule. I just need 2 days notice of when to arrive so I can plan things out. My approach varies depending on the temperament of the pet (if they are high energy, low energy, timid, etc). If they are high energy and comfortable I’m happy to play with them and let them burn that energy off, if they’re lower energy or timid I’m happy to keep an eye on them and give them their space.
About: I've lovingly cared for dogs for over 15 years and treat every pet like family. I’m patient, gentle, attentive, and focused on making dogs feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I work mostly remote, so I’m home often and able to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I only go into the office occasionally and when I step out, I’m usually gone for less than an hour. I enjoy creating calm, loving routines where pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. I create a calm, clean, and loving environment where pets can feel safe and relaxed. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality, comfort level, routines, and boundaries. I’m gentle, patient, and communicative, and I treat every pet in my care like they’re part of my family.
“This was my first time using Rover, and I had the pleasure of meeting Wanyao during my search. I couldn't be happier! She was absolutely wonderful with our four-legged son. He was so happy to go with her and had the biggest smile when he got home! Wanyao, thank you so much for being so sweet!”

About: I’ve watched friends and family’s dogs since I was a kid. About 13 years ago I rescued my pup and now have the pleasure to love and care for her as she slows down in life. I’ve previously taken care of pups on meds and post surgeries and I always carry a pet medical kit with me just in case. I’m currently working more of a part time job so I have time to spend time with your furry friends. I have plenty of time to spend walking or hanging with your animal! I just bought a home with my dream yard that’s fully fenced in and lots of space. I have a sweet and chill pup named Millie who everyone animal or human loves. I also have 2 cats that are very comfortable with dogs and are open to playing with them or just coexisting.
About: Hello! My name is Paige. I’m a dedicated pet lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs of all personalities and needs. I’ve fostered shelter dogs and helped them find their forever homes, which taught me patience, adaptability, and how to build trust with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds. I’m very familiar with different types of dog gear; collars, harnesses, and leashes and I understand how important proper fit and comfort are for safe, enjoyable walks. I’ve also trained my own dog, Nala (my best friend!), and have experience working through reactivity, so I’m especially mindful of each dog’s unique triggers and comfort level. One thing I truly believe is that no two dogs are the same. I take the time to meet every dog where they’re at, whether that means slow introductions, extra playtime, or just a calm, reassuring presence. Along with fostering, I’ve helped friends and family with dog sitting and walking, so I’m very comfortable handling daily routines, feeding, exercise, and lots of love and attention. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and comfort are always my top priorities and I’ll treat them like one of my own every step of the way. Pet care is a natural part of my everyday life. When I’m not pet sitting or out on walks, I work at a pet store, so I’m constantly surrounded by animals and staying up to date on pet care, products, and best practices. Because of my flexible schedule, I’m able to offer daily walks, drop-in visits, and check-ins that can be tailored to your pet’s specific routine and needs. Whether your pet thrives on consistency, extra exercise, or just some midday company, I can adjust my schedule to make sure they’re getting the care and attention they deserve. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I take the time to carefully follow each owner’s instructions, because I understand that every pet has their own habits, preferences, and needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I aim to keep things as consistent and stress-free as possible by sticking to their usual schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and any medications. I’m very attentive to behavior and body language, allowing me to adjust my approach depending on whether your pet is energetic, shy, or needs a little extra patience. I respect your home just as much as your pet, keeping things clean, secure, and exactly how you left them. My goal is to provide reliable, adaptable care so you can feel confident your pet is safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: Hi! I’m a dog mom of a senior long hair chihuahua. I love all animals and am so happy to come spend time with your beloved furry family members. I’m very comfortable with giving medications and taking special care with older dogs that need extra assistance. I’m working from home right now and have a very flexible schedule for walks and drop ins! I will try to accommodate your scheduling needs. I use Rover a lot myself and I know it can be a little anxiety inducing to use a new walker/sitter. I really love animals and aim to be a calm, loving presence for them. About: Hi, I'm Abby! I've been an animal lover my whole life, and I've been taking care of pets in various settings (in-home, daycare, boarding, dog-walking) for more than ten years. I specialize in multiple-pet households, but whether you have one pet or five, rest assured they'll each receive the best care possible. I'm extremely detailed (I love a comprehensive info sheet!), and I ask the right questions up front, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pets are in good hands. I work part-time in film & TV production with a variable schedule, which means I might be away from the house for as long as 10 hours at a time. Realistically, I know this doesn’t work well for many pets’ routines, which is why I want to be upfront about my availability. I will, however, be as communicative with you as possible about my schedule as soon as I know it. If a particular day is going to be long, I can also see if one of my film/tv colleagues can cover me, so that I can provide your pets the best care I can. Ultimately, it’s up to you and your pets’ level of comfort! I’m here to support you :) I take your pet's health and safety very seriously, which is why I make sure I understand not only what their immediate needs are (food, water, exercise, enrichment), but also what potential stressors might be (loud noises, other animals, etc.). I gather as much information as I can up front, so I can anticipate your pet's needs as they arise. Knowing where the cleaning materials, trash, emergency numbers, and security items (crate, leash, carrier) are in your home gives ME peace of mind and makes my job that much easier. Once I have all the info I need, while you're gone, I can check back in with you as much or as little as you prefer -- I'm happy to send updates throughout the day, or I'm just as happy to take care of things myself and provide a summary when you return. Either way, I make sure both you and your pet(s) enjoy your time away!

About: I did dog rescue for 12 years, and lots of pet sitting. I trained dogs at the shelter cleaned and cared for them, did basic vet tech, I also ran a volunteer program and trained others to care for the dogs. I have worked for Oakland Animal Services and Happy Endings Dog Rescue. I had 2 pitties in my life that I rescued and they lived to 16 and 17. I’m taking a break from having dogs, and would love to pet sit yours! Both my dogs were special needs, one was blind the other deaf. They lived a long happy life ❤️🐶🐶 I have fostered and rehomed over 50 dogs, I’ve lost count. In my dog work experience I worked a lot with big dog breeds. I have no breed discrimination and love all dogs! This is my first time in 20 years without a dog. I paint/draw and work from home, I’m a full time artist. You can see I even do pet portraits, I’m dog obsessed haha. I hike and walk every day and missing having a buddy to take with! I’m also happy to just cuddle or hang with a dog if hiking is not an option! Working from home and loving the outdoors makes my life is pretty ideal for dog sitting ☺️ I own my home. I have a fenced yard with a fence that keeps most dogs in unless you have a super dog that can jump very high! If so then only leashed walking for your dog! I have a front patio/tiled area, and backyard that are both fenced and separated. I can crate or not crate your dog whatever your preference is. I allow dogs on furniture and in my bed for cuddles if they are bathed prior to coming over and not dirty, if you allow it at home that is! I’ve done lots of dog training and while I love a trained dog, I also love letting dogs be dogs! 🤗 I’m really good at working with anxious and fearful dogs too, and making them at home and push gently past their fears.

About: Hello and welcome to my Rover profile. A pup magnet! What started as a genuine love for dogs of all shapes and sizes has transformed into 5 years of experience dog walking and dog sitting. I love giving dogs attention, spending quality time with them whether walking or cuddling-I will treat your dog as if they are my family. You can expect that I am time efficient, responsible, will follow house rules, and am always honest with my clients. I used to have 2 dogs (Beagle and Poodle) so I totally understand how overwhelming it can be sometimes to care for them with little to no help. Since I no longer have any pets of my own, but I am such a huge lover of animals, I'm happy to offer my services and expertise with animals for other people. Most importantly, I will make sure you are comfortable and adequately updated on our experience, knowing they are in good hands. Communication is key in my book. I'd love to hear from you and can't wait to meet my new friend!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - City Terrace
Sarah and David, I am very impressed with their professionalism and how they take care of my pup. They first had a meet and greet. My dog was very comfortable with them. I shared with them that my pup can be reactive and pulls. After their first walk, they shared that he was a good boy and sent pictures. I was so happy to hear! I highly recommend them as dog walkers!

Stacy has been an absolute blessing for both me and my dog. From the very first meet-and-greet, it was clear how genuinely caring, professional, and experienced she is. She took the time to get to know my dog’s personality, routines, and little quirks, which immediately put me at ease. Every walk comes with detailed updates and photos, that show how attentive she is. I love seeing how happy and relaxed my dog "Blu" looks with her! It’s obvious that Stacy treats every pet like her own — with patience, kindness, and lots of love. She’s reliable, communicative, and always punctual. I truly feel comfortable knowing my fur Baby is in such capable and trustworthy hands. We’re so lucky to have found her!

Christina was absolutely amazing with our fur baby! She was so understanding of our needs and made sure our pup was well cared for every step of the way. It was our first time leaving our dog with a dog walker, and naturally, we were a bit nervous but Christina quickly put us at ease. She kept our dog comfortable, followed all our requests, and made the whole experience stress free. We feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful dog walker and will definitely be booking with her again in the future!
