“Carlos was fantastic with our pup, who has some behavioral issues. He’s thoughtful and communicative, putting me at ease right away. Our high-energy pup came back tired, which is a minor miracle.”

“My dog loves Kira! I scheduled walks with her for a week when I was injured and couldn’t take my dog out as frequently. She was punctual, communicative, friendly and great with Alfie. I’ll definitely book her again.”

“Rachel is incredibly sweet, patient, and caring with our fur baby. Our Frenchie has a *lot* of personality and energy, and Rachel always approaches her with such kindness and a calm, gentle demeanor. She’s thoughtful, dependable, and makes sure their walks are fun, engaging, and full of attention. It’s very clear that she genuinely loves dogs and cares about making them feel comfortable and happy. We really appreciate how warm and trustworthy she is and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, attentive dog walker!”

“Absolute best! Booked very last minute and Destiny was quick with responding and meeting up to meet my boy. He took so well to her! I felt comfortable and safe leaving him in her care. Highly recommend.”

“Lee has been fabulous with Willie! I was nervous to leave Willie home for the first time while I went to work as I am gone for a very long day. Lee sent me an update on how the walk went and when I come home Willie is calm and happy and there are no accidents in the house. Lee has been very professional and takes good care of Willie on his walks and we look forward to having him numerous days a week on a regular basis. Thank you Lee! :)”

“Leela is fantastic! Dependable, calm, and good with my dog. She’s been walking my pup for months and they’ve developed a nice bond. Her communication over the app is great. Very happy to have found her.”

“Brenna has been so wonderful with walking our 115lb rottie while we were out of town! She’s an excellent communicator and sent us plenty of photos from each walk, and gracefully handled his reactivity on neighborhood walks. We felt reassured and relieved knowing our pup was in good hands and getting exercise and sniff walks while we were out of town, we would highly recommend Brenna to anyone!”

“Minh has been an amazing dog walker for me and my pup. She's extremely punctual, super easy to communicate with, and my dog loves her—what more do you want? Don't hesitate to reach out to her if you're looking for someone for walks!”

About: I started dog walking and doing cat play dates out of high school 11 years ago and loved it! I grew up with two large dogs and two cats in Portland, Oregon. Calm or animated, tall and long, short and stout, I take care of dogs & cats with all types of personalities, needs, and routines. I know dog & cat first aid through the American Red Cross and will go above and beyond to be a steward of your space. I study critical theory around the subjects of visual culture and land use at Portland State University online, so my schedule is open and adaptable to yours. My availability is completely open. I'm currently a student online, so I can adapt my schedule around whichever days and times you need help. I'm a patient, soft-spoken caretaker that allows a new fur friend to get to know me first. I'll walk the greenest routes in the area and cross the streets at the safest points. I walk at a steady pace and can check in with you and your pet during the walk or pet sit. We can play games or lounge around if that's more their style. I'll tend to your pet's grooming, diet, activity, and behavior specificities as well as any household tasks that accompany the visit.
About: I have been caring for animals since I got my first dog when I was 6 and began pet sitting for family, friends, and neighbors when I was 11. I’ve worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes and needs. I have a cat of my own, as well. Previously, I worked at a nature museum and reptile pet store which has given me experience working with pets of all kinds such as guinea pigs, bearded dragons, snakes, and more. I can't wait to meet your pet! I recently completed a service year program in Los Angeles and am looking for part time or full time work. This means that my schedule is flexible and can accommodate whatever times work best for you and your pet. I live in DTLA and have easy access to the Metro and the interstate! I will communicate with the pet owner to make sure I understand the pet's needs and personality in order to provide the best care possible. I make sure to follow the schedule decided with the pet owner (eg usual time for meals and walks) to minimize any disruption to the pet's regular day with the owner.
“Julia was great with our dog Gene this week when she needed a few walks. She took extra time to walk her and play with her outside and even gave some attention to our cats! I could tell from the pictures that our doggie just loved her. I definitely recommend Julia and hope to get to have her walk Gene again soon!”

“Alex was so wonderful to our frenchie while we were away and made sure he got exactly what he needed—whether that was a nice long walk or rest from the heat! She also gave our cat extra snuggles just because 🥰 Thank you so much for everything Alex—we’ll definitely book with you again in the future ☺️”

“Allaunah is such good energy. My doggos adore her and really enjoyed their walk together. She was a big help during this time in my like and I appreciate her care and punctuality.”

About: I've been around animals my whole life, & there's nothing I love more than caring for them. I have years of experience with puppies, senior pets, large breeds, multi-pet households, and pets that are reactive, anxious, or just need a little extra patience. I'm also comfortable administering medication. One of my own dogs was blind & diabetic, so I gave him insulin injections twice a day and made sure he got the consistent care and attention he needed. I'll always treat your pets like they're my own, follow your care instructions closely, & keep you updated with plenty of pics so you can relax knowing they're in good hands. I also offer flexible scheduling and will do my best to accommodate last-minute bookings whenever I can. I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets I care for. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, house sitting, and extended stays, including weekends and last-minute requests when my schedule allows. Since I work independently, I’m able to be flexible and adjust to each pet’s routine, whether they need regular walks, medication, playtime, or simply some company throughout the day. I’m located in the Silver Lake area and am happy to provide care in your home where your pet feels most comfortable. I follow instructions carefully, respect each pet’s routine, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how they’re doing.

Anel was available last minute to walk my dog and she was very accomodating and flexible. I have to keep my dog crated when I'm not home and I've had issues in the past where my dog gets very frightened when a new walker approaches her crate, but she had no problems with Anel, which is just wonderful. She sent pics on their walk and was very communicative. Would use again for sure.

Saige was absolutely amazing with Snooki! From the very beginning, she was kind, communicative, and incredibly thoughtful. She kept me updated throughout the stay with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She genuinely cares so much for our fury babies. Pookie looked happy, comfortable, and well cared for, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Saige is reliable, sweet, and goes above and beyond to make both pets and their owners feel at ease. I would absolutely trust her with Snooki again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will care for their babies. Thank you so much, Saige. We appreciate you more than you know!

Chloe has been a consistent dog walker and overnight sitter for my dog Butter for years. She’s the best! She is reliable and cares for Butter just like her own dogs. She is his home away from home. She lives in the neighborhood, and Butter always walks me to her place. He loves being there. Couldn’t be more grateful for Chloe, Wesley, and Ringo!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
