“Tom and Sharanya were wonderful with our dog. You could tell that they really cared and paid attention to detail by the questions they asked us before taking kirra for her walks. They sent lots of photos and made sure to give us updates. I would definitely use them again for walking or watching our dog.”

“Nick was patient, flexible, and connected with my dog instantaneously! I appreciated how thorough he was with taking photos during the visit. Grateful to have him looking out for my girl.”

“KC is such good vibes. Lupe loved him from the start. They walked a long distance in a short time and she came straight to nap after their walk, an epic success. Will definitely hit him up again! Thanks a ton KC!”

About: I have been an avid dog lover my whole life! I have a Welsh Terrier who currently lives with my parents so I love to spend as much time as possible with dogs to make me miss her less. I am able to walk dogs/do overnight visits at your place or mine. My place has two enclosed private patios as well as A/C. I am based in Silverlake but happy to travel to other parts of LA if you wish me to watch the dog at your place. I have plenty of experience walking dogs and watching them during the day and overnight. I will ensure that your dog has the safest and most enjoyable experience! I am very flexible with my time and am willing to have the dogs dropped off or come get them myself. I am up for talking the dogs where you would like- near you, a certain park, basically all around LA. I promise that under my care, your furry little friends will have the best time of their lives! I am currently working part-time remotely so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I’m available for boarding on the weekends and weekdays, as well as for walks throughout the day. I have two fenced outdoor private patio areas at my place, which is a bungalow with gated access. I can easily crate your dog if needed, and give them an area from both indoor and outdoor play. Or I’m very happy to watch the dog at your place!
About: I have been a pet owner for two years now and have been working on Rover for over a year as well. I watch my families dogs frequently and have always enjoyed animals. I work at a coffee shop but my hours are not very long. I am able to do long walks if needed and have a pretty flexible schedule. I am able to house pets but they do have to get along with my one cat. I live in an apartment but am able to walk frequently.
“Ryan has walked my senior dog, Lily, several times now. She is very patient with her as she wants to smell all the things and he’s able to handle her around other dogs even though she’s dog aggressive. I will continue using Ryan whenever I need help and I encourage you to use him as well.”

About: When I was 10, my family started fostering pregnant dogs and their puppies. From then on, I became a huge pet person! I have been taking care of my own family dogs, cat, and fosters since I was a child. I have 4 years of professional experience pet-sitting and house-sitting for family friends and neighbors. I walk and feed their pets, love spending time with them, and also make sure they get any medication they need. I have experience with elderly pets, puppies, deaf and blind dogs, cats, and dogs of all sizes! I just graduated from college, so I am available to your pets 24/7! I am perfect for spending tons of time with your fur baby. I have plenty of experience house sitting while pet sitting. I can take care of your home (collect mail, take out trash, keep it tidy) so your pet can stay comfortable in their own environment when you’re gone.
About: I owned my first pet at the age of three. Since then, I've owned and cared for a multitude of animals including: frogs, parakeets, salamanders, fish, turtles, rabbits, chickens, geckos, dogs, cats, snakes, and a variety of insects. I have experience breeding birds, walking and feeding pets, among many other things. I am not squeamish but a lover of all animals (insects included) and will be sure to give love and care to your pets that you trust to my care. I greatly enjoy the company of pets and will be sure to treat yours the way I'd want mine to be treated! I am currently free all times of the day, including mornings and evenings. I’ve just moved back to LA so I’d love to meet new pet friends to care for! I can easily come by whenever is needed to care for your pets! I have been trusted in many clients' homes, whether it be for babysitting or pet-sitting duties. I appreciate a list of responsibilities of what to do, as I know each specific pet is different, but a list of things the pet likes is nice as well. I want to be able to safely and lovingly attend to each animal's needs.
About: Safety is my main priority. I have 15 plus years experience working in Veterinary Medicine. What sets me apart is the genuine care and attention I give every pet. I’m very patient, intuitive, and attentive to each animal’s unique personality and needs, whether that’s helping shy pets feel comfortable, keeping high-energy dogs active, or giving extra love and gentleness to senior pets. I also send lots of thoughtful photo and video updates so owners always feel connected and reassured while they’re away. Pet care is something I genuinely love and naturally build into my routine. Spending time with animals makes me happy, and I truly enjoy giving them love, attention, and a safe, comforting environment. I care for every pet with patience, love, and close attention to their individual routine and personality. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for through consistent feeding, walks, playtime, cuddles, and lots of affection. I also keep owners updated with plenty of pictures and videos so they can feel connected and reassured while they’re away.
“i would highly recommend lily for your dog walking services! my dog can get pretty anxious and protective with strangers in my home and lily is very patient and understanding, so my dog already feels more comfortable with lily entering my house and walking her around the neighborhood. she’s very communicative, responsive, and friendly! i’ll definitely continue to hire her to walk my house gremlin :))”

“Alyssa is very personable and was attentive to the instructions I gave her about not only walking the dog, but also about getting in and out of my apartment (which can be tricky). I appreciate her communication and will continue to use her services.”

About: I’ve been a pet sitter since I was in high school I used to walk to a neighbors house to feed her cat and just recently came back from Hawaii where I pet/house sat for a whole month. I communicated frequently with the owners and was very respectful of their home and cared for the pups as if they were my own. I can provide their contact info if you would like. I’m currently remote so I’m very flexible and willing to work with what works for us both to make sure your fur babies will be well taken care of. I like communicating clearly with the owners of the pups I’m watching so that you can have peace of mind while away and I’m very respectful of other people’s homes.

About: Experienced pet owner (3 dogs, 3 cats, currently own 1 dog) and dog fosterer between 2016-2018 for multiple organizations! I recently had a stray dog take shelter on my patio, likely not a coincidence, and after a week of coaxing managed to bring her inside my home with crate training (my dog Petunia was a great companion) and get her into rescue! See 3rd photo! I truly love animals and have experience with all sizes, energy levels and even fear based aggression. I administer meds to my dog daily and am extremely specific when it comes to my own dog's care, so I know what it means to be a client with high expectations! I love getting to know and develop bonds with animals and it has always been natural to me. Depending on your dog, my dog Petunia can cohabitate with yours or yours with mine. I have a flexible remote schedule, with more availability on Fridays and Saturdays. Afternoons and evenings during the week work very well for me! I consider any Rover service a delightful respite where I can disconnect amd focus on your pet! I have my own dog (see photos) so for extended dogsitting I can bring her to yours or have yours stay with us! I am very good about making a calm entrance to reassure any pet and get to know each pet "on their level".

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
