“Tom and Sharanya were wonderful with our dog. You could tell that they really cared and paid attention to detail by the questions they asked us before taking kirra for her walks. They sent lots of photos and made sure to give us updates. I would definitely use them again for walking or watching our dog.”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for both cats and dogs. For the past two years, I’ve been the proud pet parent of my rescue cat, Duckie. Since adopting her, I’ve learned how important patience, routine, and attentive care are, and I’m committed to making sure she stays happy, healthy, and loved every day. I’ve also helped care for my friends’ pets over the years. I regularly walked a friend’s poodle, making sure he got plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. In addition, I’ve house sat for friends with cats, caring for their daily routines by feeding them, refreshing their water, cleaning litter boxes, playing with them, and giving them lots of affection while their owners were away. I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one feel safe and comfortable. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I’ll treat your pets with the same love and care I give my own. Pet sitting fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home with a flexible schedule. Since I can work from just about anywhere with my laptop, I’m able to provide attentive care throughout the day while maintaining my work responsibilities. This flexibility also makes weekday house sitting a great option for me. On weekends, I’m available for both full-day and part-time care, giving me even more time to focus on your pet’s needs, whether that means walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company. My goal is to make the process as seamless and stress-free as possible for both you and your pet. I understand that every family has a different schedule, so I’m happy to work with you to find a care plan that fits your routine while making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for every step of the way. I understand that trusting someone with your pet and your home is a big decision, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. My priority is to provide reliable, attentive care while maintaining your pet’s normal routine and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Before each visit or house sit, I’ll take the time to learn your pet’s routine, personality, preferences, and any special care instructions. Whether your pet needs medication, a bath, extra exercise, playtime, or simply a calm companion, I’ll follow your care plan closely and make sure their needs are met with patience and care. I’m attentive to the little details that can make a big difference in your pet’s well-being. I’ll keep an eye on their appetite, water intake, energy level, bathroom habits, and overall behavior, and I’ll communicate any changes or concerns right away. I believe consistent updates, photos, and open communication help give pet parents peace of mind, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing while you’re away. I’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own—keeping it clean, secure, and following any household instructions you’ve provided. My goal is for you to come home to a happy, healthy pet and the confidence that they received thoughtful, dependable care every step of the way.
About: I have a 12-year-old westie who's been my best friend since I got him as a puppy. I've been through every stage of dog-caring, and will love your small pup like they're my own. I'm currently laid off and job-searching, so I have plenty of time to keep your pet company or stop by for walks or potty breaks. I live in a nice apartment complex downtown that's very dog-friendly. Plenty of spots for peeing, sniffing, and walking, and my place is cozy and spacious with big windows for patrolling.
About: Im looking to help raise money for my daughters car and make some extra money as a single mother! I’m very understanding and flexible ! Im a manager a retail store very local to downtown and have early mornings and afternoons evenings and overnights/weekends open at all times! :) ! My home is open and I’m familiar and flexible with different routines I have a dog myself who is super friendly and social and can provide a play pen and toys !
“KC is such good vibes. Lupe loved him from the start. They walked a long distance in a short time and she came straight to nap after their walk, an epic success. Will definitely hit him up again! Thanks a ton KC!”

“Marketta was great with my 2 large boys! They always came back from their walks tired and happy! They tend to pull a bit and Marketta handled that with ease! Will definitely book with her in the future!”

“Brendon was awesome! He was able to take my pup on a last-minute walk, covered a lot of ground, and gave me a nice, detailed and entertaining report once he was done. Will definitely use him again!”

“Ryan has walked my senior dog, Lily, several times now. She is very patient with her as she wants to smell all the things and he’s able to handle her around other dogs even though she’s dog aggressive. I will continue using Ryan whenever I need help and I encourage you to use him as well.”

“Stephanie went above and beyond! She stopped by the night before our appt. for a meet and greet and to get my keys. She was so sweet and really cool to talk with. The next day she showed right up on time and took my pupper for a better walk than I even give him. She sent lots of pics and communication and she even stayed way longer than she had to. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely book again soon. I wish there was some sort of tipping option on the app because she seriously deserves it. Thanks again, mama!”

“We've been really happy with Minh as our dog walker. She takes the time to leave detailed notes after every walk, which we genuinely appreciate — it's reassuring to know exactly how our dog's day went. She also incorporates enrichment into her walks rather than just going through the motions, and our dog has clearly bonded with her. On top of that, she's incredibly communicative and thoughtful — she'll always give us a heads up if we're running low on treats or supplies, which is such a small thing but makes a big difference. You can tell she's genuinely paying attention and treating our home and pet with real care. We'd recommend her without hesitation!”

About: I have lived with dogs since I was 4. I have been around many animals all my life! I have helped to train both of my current dogs and love taking them to the dog park. While still living at home, I helped teach both of them to walk on a leash and took them for walks whenever I was at my parents' house. Over the years, neighbors have relied on me to take care of their animals while they are out of town. Now I am in a new city and do not live full time at home so I hardly get to see my pups. I love interacting with pets and firmly believe they can make anyone's day. I work remotely part of the week, so as long as I have wifi and a laptop, I can work from anywhere! I love breaking up my day with walks and would be happy to take a pup with me. During the weekends, unless I am traveling, I am never gone for too long and could be present for an animal. I am happy to take on whatever schedule is needed for the animal! I understand how to read an animal's behavior and body language to approach any situation carefully. I am also respectful of the fact that I am entering an animal and the owner's space and schedule so I will follow instructions carefully. I love to lounge and cuddle with the animals given the chance.
About: Throughout my life I have had pets of my own of many varieties. Through the years, since I was 9/10 years old I have cared for dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, fish, you name it! I love spending quality time with animals. I'm used to feeding and walking schedules, even giving oral medications, and of course lots of love. I have been working with other people’s animals for many years on and off, overnight, drop-ins, walking, feeding, etc. I love bonding with them and keeping them company. Much of the work I do is on my own schedule or from home so I have flexible availability to schedule around caring for the fur babies! At this time I am not offering services out of my own home. This is not something I am able to provide right now unfortunately.

I am also an avid runner and love running around Silverlake Reservoir or Echo Park Lake. If your dog really needs to get energy out, then I am the gal for that. I enjoy taking pups to the Silverlake Dog Park as well, for a nice cool down. Whether your dog prefers a leisurely sniff-filled stroll or a more energetic walk, I'm happy to tailor each outing to their needs and personality. Would love to hear more information about your pup and help make his/her day more enjoyable with a long nature walk!! xo ------------------------------------------------------- ** Overnight Information: I take pride in offering a professional, personable, and premium boarding service, where I board only ONE dog at a time to ensure undivided attention. When caring for pets in my own home, I create a safe and comfortable environment that feels like a second home to them. I provide ample playtime, regular exercise, and affection to ensure their physical and emotional needs are met, especially when they are away from mom/dad. I am also keen on maintaining established routines, including feeding schedules and medication if needed, to minimize stress. My home includes a sizable backyard with an enclosed fence and I am also within walking distance of two parks. I also love driving to the Silverlake reservoir and Elysian for midday jaunts!

About: I work for myself in the fashion photography industry and am a massive animal lover. I have had my own beautiful dogs and I love horseback riding and truly just spending as much time with animals as I can. I walk or run 3+ miles a day and love going on hikes near my house. I have a huge fenced in yard and lots of love to give to your sweet pets! I work in the creative world for myself so I make my own schedule and am home most days. I lost both of my dogs over the last year so have plenty of love and time to give to other fur babies! I have a lovely big fenced in yard and no other animals at my home. I live by myself and am comfortable having dogs in my bed if they prefer that or happy to accommodate a crate if needed. We spend most of the day outdoors.
About: Hi! I have over 20 years of experience in dog/cat care and house sitting. I'm happy to walk your dog, play with your cat, and give your pets the attention they need! I look forward to hearing from you and learning about your pet(s) :) My work schedule is very flexible and I'm not tied to a desk. I can almost definitely find a way to work with your needs I can't currently offer petsitting in my own home, but I'm comfortable with house sits. Usually I think this is easier since your pets aren't moving around.
“Alyssa is very personable and was attentive to the instructions I gave her about not only walking the dog, but also about getting in and out of my apartment (which can be tricky). I appreciate her communication and will continue to use her services.”

“Great, reliable, responsible, very friendly, she has been available on short notice for me twice. She even was patient and waited for me an extra 10 minutes when I was late to pick up queen from her. I absolutely recommend her, Queen comes back so happy from her walk, You'll love her, such a sweet, kind soul, your furry baby will thank you!”

About: Experienced pet owner (3 dogs, 3 cats, currently own 1 dog) and dog fosterer between 2016-2018 for multiple organizations! I recently had a stray dog take shelter on my patio, likely not a coincidence, and after a week of coaxing managed to bring her inside my home with crate training (my dog Petunia was a great companion) and get her into rescue! See 3rd photo! I truly love animals and have experience with all sizes, energy levels and even fear based aggression. I administer meds to my dog daily and am extremely specific when it comes to my own dog's care, so I know what it means to be a client with high expectations! I love getting to know and develop bonds with animals and it has always been natural to me. Depending on your dog, my dog Petunia can cohabitate with yours or yours with mine. I have a flexible remote schedule, with more availability on Fridays and Saturdays. Afternoons and evenings during the week work very well for me! I consider any Rover service a delightful respite where I can disconnect amd focus on your pet! I have my own dog (see photos) so for extended dogsitting I can bring her to yours or have yours stay with us! I am very good about making a calm entrance to reassure any pet and get to know each pet "on their level".

Chloe has been a consistent dog walker and overnight sitter for my dog Butter for years. She’s the best! She is reliable and cares for Butter just like her own dogs. She is his home away from home. She lives in the neighborhood, and Butter always walks me to her place. He loves being there. Couldn’t be more grateful for Chloe, Wesley, and Ringo!!

Chao is great with Miko! My dog is pretty shy and is scared of strangers at first. Chao hung out with him and gave him treats until he warmed up to her. Chao is great at following instructions and very sweet to Miko. Miko gets very excited to see her now. I like Chao a lot and will continue to use her!

Lauren was wonderful! She was on time and so friendly, and she kept me updated throughout with messages and photos. I especially appreciated how careful she was in the heat, making sure my dog stayed safe and comfortable. I never had to worry with her on walks. Highly recommend, and I'll definitely book again!

It’s been several weeks of using Hannah and she’s great! We pretty much trusted her after our first meet & greet to enter and leave our home unsupervised. Friendly, pleasant, and attentive to instructions we had, is reliable and communicative. Most important, our dog liked her right away, and she’s been posting adorable pics every time she walks him. He’s a large breed and strong and occasionally reactive to other dogs, but Hannah is able to manage him. We are so appreciative!

John M has a very gentle manner that won over our 15-year-old Chiweenie by the second visit. It was hard for us to trust somebody to not just yank her around and try to get her to bend to their will when all I really want for my little lady-old-lady-baby is a little intellectual stimulation - sniffing around and getting some fresh air. We really appreciate John and his delightfully sweet-natured vibe and trust him to get all of her nonverbal communication!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
