About: Having a dog and 2 cats as a kid was the best childhood! I am home most of the day so I have lots of time to walk and play with your pup! I live with my boyfriend who also loves animals. I have been freelance dog sitting/walking for the last year through friends but looking for more furry friends here! Send me a message so we can talk more about you and your pet’s needs I work from home doing a part time job so I am mainly a home body. I am based in North Hollywood and generally service Noho, Burbank, Toluca Lake, Studio City and parts of Sherman Oaks I don’t accept animals from multiple households at once for my safety and theirs. I have multiple screen doors where they can safely watch the world outside at all the people and dogs who might pass by. I can also offer daytime sitting in someone’s home as long as my laptop and internet access is allowed!

Sarah was wonderful. On day 2 the dogs were already sitting at the window waiting for her! I had surgery and she stepped into walking duties. I’m healed now and walking the dogs myself, but I can’t help but feel the twinge of their disappointment that I’m not Sarah. Highly recommend (speaking for me and the dogs)

About: Hi! I'm Charese, a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, and birds. Having owned both dogs and cats throughout my life, I understand that every animal has its own personality, routine, and needs. I also have experience caring for birds and appreciate the special attention and consistency they require. In addition, I have administered medication to both dogs and cats and am comfortable caring for senior pets or those who need extra support. I know how important it is to trust someone with your beloved pet. Whether your companion enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, quiet companionship, or a structured routine, I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. I am dependable, attentive, and committed to providing updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is receiving loving care. My goal is to treat every pet as if they were part of my own family and ensure they are happy, healthy, and comfortable in my care. I look forward to meeting you and your furry—or feathered—family members! I am currently working part time on Tuesdays and Fridays only a few hours a day and the rest from home. I am availabe most days after 1pm. I can not have the pets come to my home at this time but am willing to go to your house to take care of them. I currently live, work in a photography studio no pets allowed.

About: As a lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom, I know every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. What sets me apart is my experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with disabilities, which has taught me the importance of patience, attentiveness, and compassionate care. I’m comfortable administering extra support, moving at your pet’s pace, and paying close attention to the little details that help them feel safe and comfortable. Whether your dog loves long walks, gentle strolls, playtime, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I’ll tailor my care to what makes them happiest. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family, keeping you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is simple: to make sure your pet feels loved, secure, and cared for, even when you can’t be there. I work from home, which means I can give your pup plenty of personalized attention throughout the day instead of just dropping in for the essentials. We typically start the morning with a neighborhood walk, followed by breakfast and some time to relax. In the afternoon, we’ll enjoy playtime, enrichment activities, or another potty break, depending on your dog’s energy level. Evenings include a trip to the park or another walk, dinner, and, of course, lots of cuddles before winding down for the night. I understand that every dog has their own routine, so I’m happy to adapt my schedule to match what they’re used to. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable, loved, and right at home while you’re away. I believe the best pet care starts with maintaining the routine your dog already knows and loves. Before each booking, I take the time to learn about your pet’s schedule, feeding routine, exercise needs, medications, favorite activities, and any special instructions so they feel as comfortable as possible. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a calm, safe environment with plenty of supervision since I work from home. Your dog will enjoy regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, enrichment, and lots of affection throughout the day. I have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with disabilities, so I’m comfortable adjusting activities and providing extra patience and support when needed. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with the same respect I would my own. I stick closely to your pet’s normal routine, keep their environment clean, and make sure they receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they’re used to. I’ll also send regular photo updates and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and in good hands.

I am a very attentive, kind, caring and patient person. To me a dog or a cat is one hundred percent more than a pet, but an extension of you, and therefore very much a part of your family. It’s my privilege and pleasure to provide your pet with the highest quality of care and respect. Every dog or cat I’ve come in contact with I’ve treated as my own, and I take pride in giving animals the special attention that every pet deserves. About: Hi! I’m an experienced pet sitter with 12+ years of caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, and small animals. I’ve also fostered both dogs and cats, giving me experience with pets of all ages, personalities, and care needs! Since I work from home, I have a flexible schedule and can provide plenty of attention, companionship, walks, playtime, and personalized care while you’re away. I’ll take lots of pictures, too! I’m especially comfortable with active pets thanks to my own well-trained 8-year-old Australian Shepherd, Nylo. Whether your pet needs lots of exercise or simply someone to keep them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I work from home and am self-employed, so I have a flexible schedule and can provide attentive care throughout your pet’s stay. Boarding rates cover a 24-hour period. For new clients, drop-off is available from 2:00 PM–8:00 PM so I can give your pet my full attention while they settle in. Returning clients may drop off anytime between 8:00 AM–8:00 PM. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. Since I work from home, your fur baby will receive plenty of attention throughout the day, and walks based on their energy level and routine. I live in a townhome with stairs, so this is important to note for pups that have mobility considerations. For low energy, senior, or special needs dogs, I also have a fully fenced outdoor area with both grass and concrete where they can safely enjoy fresh air and potty breaks without needing a long walk. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special care they may need. If I need to step out for an hour or two, all dogs are separated into their own comfortable spaces to ensure a safe environment. I also provide regular photo and message updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

About: Hi! I grew up on my grandmother’s farm in Italy. As an only child, I spent most of my time with animals and learned from an early age how to care for them. My dog, Billie, and my cat, Chico, were my best friends growing up. Fast forward to today: I live in Studio City with my husband. Over the years, I’ve provided professional pet-sitting services through word-of-mouth referrals, caring for dogs of all sizes and cats. I have two cats of our own, whom I love as if they were my children. I’m fascinated by feline behavior and have spent countless hours learning about their needs and personalities. Dogs may be a little easier to understand, but I adore them just as much. 😊 I love going for walks, and I take great pride in providing the best possible care for every pet. I follow instructions carefully, am highly respectful of other people’s homes and routines, and am extremely reliable and dependable. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! As an actress and founder of my own theatre company, I'm fortunate to have a flexible schedule that allows me to embrace a variety of meaningful experiences between projects. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. Spending time with animals combines two things I truly enjoy: being in the open air and caring for pets. Whether it's going for walks, playing, or simply providing care and companionship, looking after pets feels less like a task and more like something that perfectly complements my lifestyle and brings me genuine joy. I offer both pet sitting and house sitting and have experience with both. As a former nanny, I'm very attentive, responsible, and used to caring not only for pets but also for someone's home with the utmost respect. I have previously hosted small dogs in my townhome and would be happy to do so again, provided they are comfortable around cats, as I have two furry babies of my own. If a dog is generally fine with cats but not completely at ease around them, I take extra precautions and have them sleep in a crate at night or whenever I cannot actively supervise. My priority is always everyone's safety and comfort. I am extremely conscientious and prudent. I follow care instructions to the letter, communicate clearly, and take reliability very seriously. Pet owners can trust that their pets, routines, and homes will be cared for exactly as requested.

About: My Cairn Terriers (like Toto from Oz) hike Griffith and Runyon, chase squirrels, dig holes, play fetch at Weddington Park and take long walks. Sometimes we just lay in the sun or snuggle on the couch, but this is a loving home that is grain free, caters to the Fluff gang and we’re big on patience and attention. I've raised five dogs in my life - German Shepard, Black Lab, Lhasa Opso and now my Cairns. Having learned so much from each of them and the love I have for dogs in general, I'm excited to welcome your loved one into my home and help you be at ease knowing they're well cared for. I know nothing can keep you from missing your pet, but a confidence in them being comfortable and loved while you're away is a great help. ***Originally DogVacay, I’ve been with the service since 2010 and rarely open up to new clients. After a few folks moved out of town and others had kids which limited travel time, I’m opening up again. My preference would be to begin those same kind of long term care relationships with people who travel often or for larger lengths of time which allows your pup to feel as though they’re always going to a safe and familiar space with friends they know and love playing with. Working from home has allowed me to better care for my own senior pups and also gives me the freedom to spoil your loved one as well. My two friendly senior pups and I enjoy a gated back yard that still sees birds and squirrels enough to entertain them while being safe from any interactions. We have astroturf for back scratching and enjoying the sun, as well as a front yard, quiet cul de sac streets and a giant park for leisurely walks.

Just wow, if don’t read any further just know Yvonne is awesome and you should hire her! I hired her on a temporary basis to walk my Tuco daily for about 6 weeks because I was commuting too far for a work assignment to come home at lunch to walk him myself. Never before having anyone else walk him, I was worried about finding someone whom I could trust to show up reliably and give Tuco the much needed break in his day. Not only did Yvonne prove herself reliable and responsible, she took such kind and loving care of Tuco, he fell in love with her (and her with him)! Each walk she would send me notes and adorable photos of their activities. I especially appreciated that she would stop and take time to play fetch with him and snuggle him at our apartment’s pet park, thankfully giving him the physical and mental stimulation she understood he needed. One week, Tuco had a little tummy virus and was not his usual energetic self, so Yvonne patiently sat with him outside and let him take it easy. Now that I am moving closer to my job, unfortunately I will be too far to keep Yvonne. Tuco will miss her and I am sure if he could talk, he would highly recommend her as do I. If you are looking for a caring, attentive and reliable dog walker, I have every confidence you will be very satisfied with Yvonne.

  • 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
