“Emma is really kind and attentive. She was willing to do a video call with me before her first walk so we could get to know each other. Will definitely be hiring her again in the future!”

“I don’t know what’s going on….all I know is my dog is a new girl. She seems so much more relaxed and calm when I get home. I think I’m more excited than my dog!!”

About: Hi, I’m Allyssa! I’ve been caring for both dogs and cats my entire life. I have experience walking, training, exercising, playing and socializing with dogs and cats of all ages/breeds/sizes. I am a very attentive, kind, caring and patient person. To me a dog or a cat is one hundred percent more than a pet, but an extension of you, and therefore very much a part of your family. It’s my privilege and pleasure to provide your pet with the highest quality of care and respect. Every dog or cat I’ve come in contact with I’ve treated as my own, and I take pride in giving animals the special attention that every pet deserves. I will be 100% committed to being there for you and your pet.
“John was extremely good with the dogs, very knowledgeable on handling them. Communication was excellent and John was very flexible with walking them. I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.”

“Kendi is amazing! She is so sweet with our boys and always makes sure they are happy and comfortable before she leaves. It’s so great to have someone trustworthy to take care of them. We highly recommend her!!”

“Carolyn was great to work with! Always on time and great with communication! how to minor Hip injury and she was able to come last minute and walk my dog every day for a week with no issues. Would hire her again…great with dogs! Thanks Carolyn!”

“Colleen has been great with my dog, as we just came to LA and my dog has been getting used to the new surroundings. Colleen has been patient and so accommodating even helping on a short notice. Thank you Colleen!!”
“Victoria....surpassed my expectations! I expected a simple dog walk, nothing else. What I got was a dog whisperer! SamWise/Sam is a little skittish because he is a COVID puppy, He didn't get the type of socialization that I wanted for him to be more open with others. When Victoria arrived, yes, Sam was a bit aloof, not sure what was going on or why he was going out on a leash with someone he didn't know. I was worried how this service was going to work out for him. When Victoria and Sam got back to the house, he was a different dog! Oh My! He LOVED Victoria! Victoria stayed a little longer after the walk to assure Sam that all was good between them, and surely they had a few treats between them. I am impressed! Victoria will be my ROVER Girl from now on! I can relax now knowing Sam and my other Papillon Theo will be forever in good care on the next walk. THANK YOU VICTORIA! Will call you again soon!”

“Tayler was great with my one year old boxer! He is a lot of energy and she was able to tire him out and he had so much fun! She sent pictures of their trip which I loved! ?”

“I'm so particular about who cares for my pets and enters my home while I'm not there, but I wholeheartedly trust Johanna! My girls love her and I know they're in good hands with her around. Absolutely my go-to walker / sitter!”

“Alexandra was great with Jack. He has not been used to other people walking him and she did a wonderful job in getting him to go on longer walks than he does even with us! She was so responsive, always on time and overall terrific. We highly recommend her and will definitely use her again.”

“Sarah was wonderful. On day 2 the dogs were already sitting at the window waiting for her! I had surgery and she stepped into walking duties. I’m healed now and walking the dogs myself, but I can’t help but feel the twinge of their disappointment that I’m not Sarah. Highly recommend (speaking for me and the dogs)”

“Kat & my Brynn just met but I can tell they're going to be quick friends! Kat was super responsive, gave Brynn a walk, some love, & delivered a bunch of photos. Will def be rebooking!”

“Thank you for coming on time, figuring out how to deal with my shy Mamba. You took him all the way to the park, awesome. And he seemed happy and affectionate when I got home.”

“Adam is AMAZING! our dogs love him and we are so appreciative of how great he cares for them. He has great patience, communicates and goes above and beyond every single time. Hands down the best walker the boys have ever had. Thanks Adam!!!!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Bertha! She has been an absolute blessing for me and my dog, Penny. From the very beginning, it was clear that Bertha truly cares, not just about doing the job, but about the dogs she works with. Penny warmed up to her right away, which says a lot, and every time Penny see’s Bertha, Penny’s tail would practically wag off! Bertha is reliable, thoughtful, and so gentle with Penny. She always takes the time to send little updates or pictures, and I can tell she pays attention to the details. It’s such a comfort knowing that my dog is in loving, capable hands when I’m not around. Thank you, Bertha, for taking such good care of Penny. We’re both so grateful for you!”

“Catherine was very prompt in her service and was on time for the services I requested. She provided many photos to help me feel at ease that my dog was being well taken care of! She was consistently professional and kind. My dog instantly took to her and could tell she was a safe person to be around. I plan to book Catherine again in the near future and would trust her with my dog!”

Adam is the dog whisperer of dog whisperers. Our pitbull Camilla is normally hesitant to walk with a new person and will not venture far away from home the first time, but she was immediately smitten with Adam and they walked together for the entire hour! We have used so many dog walkers. This is the first and only time Camilla felt this comfortable with someone. We’re so happy we found someone our dog is excited to walk with. He didn’t even need to use treats to coax her. Adam is a needle in a haystack type of dog walker for the type of dog we have.

I can't recommend Orion enough. From asking all the right questions to bringing amazing energy, Orion was completely prepared and engaging with Scruffy. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dog, and I'll definitely be a repeat client. It's so great to support such an awesome, genuinely spirited person in our community.

Robbie was absolutely amazing taking care of my baby Sisa while I was away in Hawaii! I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better person to look after her. From the beginning, Robbie was incredibly caring, responsible, and attentive. He took the time to play with Sisa, give her plenty of attention and affection, and make sure she was happy and comfortable while I was away. What impressed me the most was how meticulous he was with every single detail and favor I asked of him. He followed all of my instructions perfectly and treated Sisa and my home with so much care and respect. Being away from your dog can always make you a little worried, but knowing Sisa was with Robbie gave me real peace of mind and allowed me to enjoy my trip. It was obvious that he genuinely cared about her and wasn’t simply there to do a job. I came home to a happy and well-cared-for Sisa, which says everything. I would absolutely trust Robbie with her again and recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for a dependable, thoughtful, and genuinely caring pet sitter. Thank you so much, Robbie, for taking such wonderful care of my girl! Sisa and I truly appreciate you! 🐾❤️

Kendi has become our regular and trusted dogwalker for our doggos while we toil in the office. We’re so grateful to have found a flexible, patient, and experienced dogwalker who has helped us out last minute with walks, transportation to the groomer, and while my mobility-limited dad was dogsitting. 5 stars for sure.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
