About: Animals have been a part of my life since I was 10 years old, and caring for them has always been something I truly love. I always pay close attention to their body language, behavior, hydration, and overall health. During walks, pets are always kept on a leash unless you specifically instruct otherwise and it is safe to do so. I believe trust is earned through patience, consistency, and treating every pet like a member of my own family.

About: Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m an LA-based animal lover and proud cat mom to my sweet orange tabby, Jeff. Being a pet parent has been one of the greatest joys of my life, but my love for animals started long before that. I grew up with two golden retrievers, Kona and Maggie, and my family has always joked that I’m the “dog whisperer” because every dog I meet seems to decide we’re best friends. Before joining Rover, I pet sat for family, friends, roommates, and neighbors for years, caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or just having a calm, friendly companion around, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I have a remote job so my schedule is very flexible and I am typically available to house sit during the week. I usually have plenty of availability over the weekend for walks or drop-ins as well. About: I have taken care of my own animals for the last 10 years, while also volunteering at local rescues to assist and socialize. My dog experience lies mostly within the rescues as well, cleaning feeding and walking are areas of expertise. I stand out because of my affectionate personality but also self awareness to gauge what the needs of your pet are. I am very flexible at the moment to assist and schedule whatever you will need for your pet. If the schedule is not available or if I have the ability to move things around I am open to that discussion as well. I care for each pet depending on what the pet & owners needs are. I am a fast learner and will adapt to any routine that will need to be implemented. As far as safety goes, I am motivated to accommodate any safety needs the client will need from me and for their home as well. Hey! I have the ability to come on my lunch break if your pet cannot be left alone for more than 4 hours. Can also be flexible on weekends and after 6p on weekdays. I have a large balcony and plenty of space in my apartment. My neighborhood is highly walkable and safe. Will avoid other dogs if needed.
