“Elizabeth is a doggie rockstar! She loves the babies and they love her! Couldn’t be happier nor feel better about leaving them in someone’s care! Thank you!!!!”

“We are so happy to have met Kendi! We have a full fur family (Dog, puppy & kitty) who look forward to their check-in time with her. She also has saved us in a pinch when we need her to stop by on short notice. I highly recommend Kendi!”

“Yvonne is wonderful! She took such attentive care of my cats while I was out of town for a long stretch and it was obvious they felt so comfortable around her and really adored her. I felt so at ease knowing they were being so well taken care of and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. I look forward to calling on her again the next time I have to go out of town!”

About: Animals have been a part of my life since I was 10 years old, and caring for them has always been something I truly love. I have experience with dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, turtles, ducks, and other small animals, caring for pets of all sizes and at every stage of life—from newborn puppies to senior pets with special medical needs. I believe every pet has a unique personality, so I take the time to understand their body language, build trust, and make them feel safe and comfortable. Whether a pet is energetic, shy, or anxious, I adapt my approach to meet their individual needs and always follow their usual routine to help reduce stress. I have experience with puppy potty training, daily walks, playtime, grooming, transportation to veterinary appointments, administering medications (including injections), and caring for senior pets who require extra patience and specialized care. To me, pets are family. My priority is to provide loving, dependable, and attentive care, giving you peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and treated with the same love and respect I would give my own. I have personally cared for pets from birth through their senior years, giving me a deep understanding of their changing needs and the patience they deserve at every stage of life. Pet care is currently my priority, which allows me to be flexible and dedicate my full attention to your pet. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and last-minute bookings whenever possible. I understand that every pet has its own routine, and I’m happy to adapt my schedule to provide consistent, reliable care that helps them feel comfortable and secure. Your pet’s safety and well-being will always be my top priority. I carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, and daily routines to make sure your pet feels comfortable and secure. I always pay close attention to their body language, behavior, hydration, and overall health. During walks, pets are always kept on a leash unless you specifically instruct otherwise and it is safe to do so. I believe trust is earned through patience, consistency, and treating every pet like a member of my own family.
About: Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m an LA-based animal lover and proud cat mom to my sweet orange tabby, Jeff. Being a pet parent has been one of the greatest joys of my life, but my love for animals started long before that. I grew up with two golden retrievers, Kona and Maggie, and my family has always joked that I’m the “dog whisperer” because every dog I meet seems to decide we’re best friends. Before joining Rover, I pet sat for family, friends, roommates, and neighbors for years, caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or just having a calm, friendly companion around, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. When you book with me, you can expect reliable care, great communication, lots of photo updates, and someone who will treat your pet like one of their own. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I take that responsibility seriously. I have a remote job so my schedule is very flexible and I am typically available to house sit during the week. I usually have plenty of availability over the weekend for walks or drop-ins as well. Whether it's drop-ins or extended overnight care, I am very happy to learn and follow your routine for your pet in order to provide the best care possible :)
“Catherine was simply fantastic with my boy Kane! She was professional and paid attention to the details. My cat was immediately comfortable with her and enjoyed her visits. She provided great updates and photos and made me so much more at ease being away from my fur baby. Thanks so much Catherine!”

“Ilana was an amazing dog sitter. Her communication was excellent from start to finish, and she was incredibly flexible and easy to work with. Both of my dogs absolutely loved her, which says a lot because my Yorkie is extremely picky with people. The fact that she won him over so quickly truly impressed me. I felt completely at ease knowing my dogs were in such caring and capable hands. I would happily book with Ilana again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive sitter.”

About: I have taken care of my own animals for the last 10 years, while also volunteering at local rescues to assist and socialize. My dog experience lies mostly within the rescues as well, cleaning feeding and walking are areas of expertise. I stand out because of my affectionate personality but also self awareness to gauge what the needs of your pet are. I am very flexible at the moment to assist and schedule whatever you will need for your pet. If the schedule is not available or if I have the ability to move things around I am open to that discussion as well. I care for each pet depending on what the pet & owners needs are. I am a fast learner and will adapt to any routine that will need to be implemented. As far as safety goes, I am motivated to accommodate any safety needs the client will need from me and for their home as well. Hey! I have the ability to come on my lunch break if your pet cannot be left alone for more than 4 hours. Can also be flexible on weekends and after 6p on weekdays. I have a large balcony and plenty of space in my apartment. My neighborhood is highly walkable and safe. Will avoid other dogs if needed.
“Ginneh is great! She followed all instructions to a tee, the dogs loved her, and she always went the extra mile when spending time with them. Definitely planning on using her again!”

“Sarah was awesome!! Not only was she super prepared and asked all the right questions prior to the pet sitting, she also made a great effort to spend quality time with our cat and play with her. 10/10 recommend and will be booking again!”

“Kat has done such a great job getting to know our shy anxious dog, she's very communicative during her drop-ins and we look forward to working with her regularly!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and other animals of different ages, sizes, and personalities for more than 26 years. My own pets, as well as those belonging to friends, family, homeowners, and pet parents, have trusted me to feed, walk, bathe, comfort, and closely monitor them while their families are away. Had Emily watch my cat again, as always super communicative and caring. My cat had a little medical emergency (she's had an issue with crystal formation in her bladder decide to flare up while I was away), Emily handle what was certainly a stressful situation for everyone like a champ and was very helpful. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
