About: Having a dog and 2 cats as a kid was the best childhood! I am home most of the day so I have lots of time to walk and play with your pup! I live with my boyfriend who also loves animals. I have been freelance dog sitting/walking for the last year through friends but looking for more furry friends here! Send me a message so we can talk more about you and your pet’s needs I work from home doing a part time job so I am mainly a home body. I am based in North Hollywood and generally service Noho, Burbank, Toluca Lake, Studio City and parts of Sherman Oaks I don’t accept animals from multiple households at once for my safety and theirs. I have multiple screen doors where they can safely watch the world outside at all the people and dogs who might pass by. I can also offer daytime sitting in someone’s home as long as my laptop and internet access is allowed!
“Sarah was awesome!! Not only was she super prepared and asked all the right questions prior to the pet sitting, she also made a great effort to spend quality time with our cat and play with her. 10/10 recommend and will be booking again!”

“Trinity was AMAZING! Our cat is obsessed with attention, and she was so great about giving him love and taking care of him. We had a last minute change of plans, and she was so accommodating to add days and continue caring for our baby. We will definitely reach out again for our next trip!”

About: I've been caring for dogs for over 20 years and have been surrounded by animals my entire life. I grew up with dogs, trained my own, and provided pet sitting and dog walking for friends, family, and neighbors for many years. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog's unique personality and believe every pet deserves patient, attentive, and loving care. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply some extra companionship, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. I'm comfortable caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. I have experience with puppies, high-energy dogs, reactive dogs, and administering oral medications. I'm committed to following your pet's routine and adapting to their individual needs so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in good hands. I am currently working part time in the afternoons, so I have all morning and evenings to walk, play, and hang out with your dog! I am also available all day on weekends. When in your home, I would love to take your pets for walks, to dog parks, anything you already do with them to make them the most comfortable! I have a fenced yard with a dog. Depending on your pet, I would want to speak with you on what makes your pet and you the most comfortable.
About: I grew up with two Shih Tzus and was always the designated dogsitter for my aunts and cousins. I have experience with big and small dogs. I've also taken care of both puppies and elderly dogs, and I will make sure he swallows that pill! This is my main job at the moment, so my schedule is wide open! I'm free for walks all throughout the week and can do drop-ins whenever needed. I'm also available to housesit on weekends and weekdays. I don't live with any pets of my own, so I promise to care for them the way I would my own dog. Your dog has my full, undivided attention!

About: I have been a dog owner for 16 years and have developed a strong understanding of the care, attention, and responsibility that pets require. Throughout my life, I have also gained hands-on experience caring for animals through house sitting and dog walking for friends, family, and others in my community. These experiences have taught me how important patience, consistency, and attentiveness are in creating a safe and comfortable environment for every pet. I take pride in being dependable and ensuring that each animal receives the same level of care and attention that I would want for my own pets. I genuinely love working with animals, and pet care has always been a consistent part of my daily life. As a longtime pet owner with years of experience caring for dogs and cats through house sitting and pet care, I’m comfortable building my schedule around feeding routines, walks, exercise, playtime, and individual needs. I understand how important consistency and trust are when someone is caring for your pet, and I make it a priority to provide dependable care, plenty of attention, and a safe, comfortable environment where pets can feel happy and at ease while owners have peace of mind. I always prioritize a pet’s safety, comfort, and routine while in my care. Whether I’m caring for pets in my client’s home or during walks and visits, I make sure they receive plenty of attention while maintaining the routines they are familiar with, including feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, and any specific instructions provided by the owner. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, so I take the time to create an environment where they feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for. I also believe communication is important, so I make it a priority to keep owners updated and provide peace of mind while they are away.
“Ilana was an amazing dog sitter. Her communication was excellent from start to finish, and she was incredibly flexible and easy to work with. Both of my dogs absolutely loved her, which says a lot because my Yorkie is extremely picky with people. The fact that she won him over so quickly truly impressed me. I felt completely at ease knowing my dogs were in such caring and capable hands. I would happily book with Ilana again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive sitter.”

“Katherine is a wonderful pet sitter and is very thorough. I appreciate the detailed updates with many photos. I will definitely hire Katherine again.”

“Mikayla was great! Super responsive and nice. My cat loved her. My cat is normally super shy but warmed up to her almost instantly. Would highly recommend booking her!”

“She was great! Was awesome with our cat, made sure to play with him, along with all the other necessities, and sent lots of pictures for us, will definitely book again in the future.”

“Ten was very sweet. She loves spending time with my fur babies and I could see she truly cares for them. I definitely trust Ten with them and am looking forward to requesting her help again soon!”

“Adam was awesome! We came back to very happy dogs and Adam sent us plenty of pictures to let us know how happy our dogs were. We have large, high energy dogs so this was no easy task! Adam definitely went above and beyond what was expected!!”

About: Hi pet guardians, I’m Tauri. . I am a member of Pet Sitters International and I am independently insured through Pet Sitters Associates. I’ve successfully completed PSI’s Pet First Aid & CPCR for Pet-Care Professionals. . I have extensive dog care experience, including training large working breed dogs for search and rescue (e.g. Dobermans and German Shepherds). . I’ve walked and watched dogs from 5lbs to 130 pounds. I’m comfortable administering oral medicine and watching multiple dogs and other pets - cats, bunnies, birds, etc. . I have experience with dogs who have separation anxiety and I am open to a constant care option on a case-by-case basis (at a higher rate). . I've completed Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs Master Course, and I'm enrolled in Susan Clothier’s Treat Retreat course, which is geared towards helping dogs who are nervous interacting with people. . I've raised many puppies. I am willing to do walks and drop-ins for puppies. I am open to overnight sits for puppies on a case-by-case basis. Currently, I work remotely, which makes house-sitting possible. . My typical weekday involves working on my computer for 10 hours. I start work between 7am and 9am. I end the day between 5pm and 7pm. I typically don't work weekends or holidays. . On weekdays, I can start a house sit in the evening starting at 7pm or later. If you need the house sit to start earlier than 7pm on a non-holiday weekday I will consider those requests on a case-by-case basis. I can feed and take the dog(s) out to potty in the morning before starting work and I can take the dog(s) on a potty break midday. On weekends, I usually can start the sit earlier than 7pm. . During the week: I am typically not available for walks or drop-in appointments before 7pm. Weekends and holidays: On weekends and holidays I typically can accommodate walks and drop-in appointments. . Disclaimer: I reserve the right to leave to get food and basic necessities during a house sit at any point. I also reserve the right to leave for 4-6 hours during the day. . Constant Care: Pets requiring constant care will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will be subject to additional fees depending on the pets specific needs. I consider a pet to need constant care if the pet: (1) cannot be left for 4 hours at a time and/or (2) will need supervision or attention during 8 hours overnight (sleep time for me) or during the day while I work. In-person Meet & Greets are required prior to all services for new clients. I need to meet the pet(s) and assess temperament. . For dogs I want to go on a walk with the dogs and make sure the leashes, collars and equipment used to walk the pet is in good condition and the pet cannot slip out of the equipment. I want to see the typical walk environment and assess potential safety hazards (coyotes, aggressive dogs behind flimsy fences, debris in the area, etc.) and logistical issues (elevators, stairs, parking). . For all pets the in-person Meet & Greet will also allow me to assess the escape risks for pets and options for minimizing these risks. . The Meet & Greet will also allow you the opportunity to meet me in person, ask me questions and see me interact with your pet. Entrusting your pet and your home to a stranger is a very important decision for you and it should be taken seriously. If for some reason you do feel comfortable with me watching your pets or staying in your house after the Meet & Greet, you should meet with another sitter and find one that matches your needs. . Miscellaneous: I do not plan to bring any people or pets (other than the ones you are asking me to watch) into your home while I pet sit. . Disclaimer: I reserve the right to refuse the sit if after the Meet and Greet I am not comfortable with the situation. While I have experience with aggressive dogs and cats, my overnight sit rate is for social/well-adjusted animals. Animals in need of behavioral modification or that pose a safety risk to myself or others should be boarded at a facility that is geared towards aggressive animals. Similarly, while I have experience caring for animals post surgery or animals experiencing acute medical conditions, my overnight rate is for healthy animals and/or animals with well-controlled chronic conditions. Medically fragile animals should be boarded at a veterinary facility with 24/7 staffing.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Universal City
Sarah was absolutely wonderful with our two 13-year-old dogs, Lucy and Bella! She stopped by for multiple drop-in visits while we were on vacation, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Having senior dogs means finding someone who is patient, reliable, and attentive, and Sarah was all of those things. She kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that Lucy and Bella were well cared for and comfortable in her hands. We came home to two happy, relaxed pups, and that’s the best compliment we can give. We would absolutely book Sarah again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. Thank you, Sarah, for taking such great care of our girls!

Jessica did a great job taking care of our senior kitty while we were out of town! She is very kind and considerate and communicated well with us, sent us lots of pictures of our little guy, and kept us up to date on his appetite! Really appreciate your help, Jessica!

We had such a wonderful experience with Kaitlin! She took amazing care of my girls and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Her updates were incredibly detailed, and I always looked forward to reading them. She included lots of photos each visit, which made it so much easier being away from my cats. She was also very reliable and consistent, and it was clear she genuinely cared about making sure my girls were happy and well cared for. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, communicative, and caring to look after their pets. Thank you for taking such great care of my girls!

Matthew was fantastic with Max! Max seemed so happy and excited to see him, which made it clear he was in great hands. Matthew communicated really well throughout the stay, took amazing care of Max, and made the whole experience so easy. I would absolutely book with him again!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Universal City. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
