About: I've been caring for dogs for over 20 years and have been surrounded by animals my entire life. I grew up with dogs, trained my own, and provided pet sitting and dog walking for friends, family, and neighbors for many years. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog's unique personality and believe every pet deserves patient, attentive, and loving care. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply some extra companionship, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. I'm comfortable caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. I have experience with puppies, high-energy dogs, reactive dogs, and administering oral medications. I'm committed to following your pet's routine and adapting to their individual needs so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in good hands. I am currently working part time in the afternoons, so I have all morning and evenings to walk, play, and hang out with your dog! I am also available all day on weekends. When in your home, I would love to take your pets for walks, to dog parks, anything you already do with them to make them the most comfortable! I have a fenced yard with a dog. Depending on your pet, I would want to speak with you on what makes your pet and you the most comfortable.

About: Hi pet guardians, I’m Tauri. . I am a member of Pet Sitters International and I am independently insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates. I’ve successfully completed PSI’s Pet First Aid & CPCR for Pet-Care Professionals. . I have extensive dog care experience, including training large working breed dogs for search and rescue (e.g. Dobermans and German Shepherds). . I’ve walked and watched dogs from 5lbs to 130 pounds. I’m comfortable administering oral medicine and watching multiple dogs and other pets - cats, bunnies, birds, etc. . I have experience with dogs who have separation anxiety and I am open to a constant care option on a case-by-case basis (at a higher rate). . I've completed Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs Master Course, and I'm enrolled in Susan Clothier’s Treat Retreat course, which is geared towards helping dogs who are nervous interacting with people. . I've raised many puppies. I am willing to do walks and drop-ins for puppies. I am open to overnight sits for puppies on a case-by-case basis. Currently, I work remotely, which makes house-sitting possible. . My typical weekday involves working on my computer for 10 hours. I start work between 7am and 9am. I end the day between 5pm and 7pm. I typically don't work weekends or holidays. . On weekdays, I can start a house sit in the evening starting at 7pm or later. If you need the house sit to start earlier than 7pm on a non-holiday weekday I will consider those requests on a case-by-case basis. I can feed and take the dog(s) out to potty in the morning before starting work and I can take the dog(s) on a potty break midday. On weekends, I usually can start the sit earlier than 7pm. . During the week: I am typically not available for walks or drop-in appointments before 7pm. Weekends and holidays: On weekends and holidays I typically can accommodate walks and drop-in appointments. . Disclaimer: I reserve the right to leave to get food and basic necessities during a house sit at any point. I also reserve the right to leave for 4-6 hours during the day. . Constant Care: Pets requiring constant care will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will be subject to additional fees depending on the pets specific needs. I consider a pet to need constant care if the pet: (1) cannot be left for 4 hours at a time and/or (2) will need supervision or attention during 8 hours overnight (sleep time for me) or during the day while I work. In-person Meet & Greets are required prior to all services for new clients. I need to meet the pet(s) and assess temperament. . For dogs I want to go on a walk with the dogs and make sure the leashes, collars and equipment used to walk the pet is in good condition and the pet cannot slip out of the equipment. I want to see the typical walk environment and assess potential safety hazards (coyotes, aggressive dogs behind flimsy fences, debris in the area, etc.) and logistical issues (elevators, stairs, parking). . For all pets the in-person Meet & Greet will also allow me to assess the escape risks for pets and options for minimizing these risks. . The Meet & Greet will also allow you the opportunity to meet me in person, ask me questions and see me interact with your pet. Entrusting your pet and your home to a stranger is a very important decision for you and it should be taken seriously. If for some reason you do feel comfortable with me watching your pets or staying in your house after the Meet & Greet, you should meet with another sitter and find one that matches your needs. . Miscellaneous: I do not plan to bring any people or pets (other than the ones you are asking me to watch) into your home while I pet sit. . Disclaimer: I reserve the right to refuse the sit if after the Meet and Greet I am not comfortable with the situation. While I have experience with aggressive dogs and cats, my overnight sit rate is for social/well-adjusted animals. Animals in need of behavioral modification or that pose a safety risk to myself or others should be boarded at a facility that is geared towards aggressive animals. Similarly, while I have experience caring for animals post surgery or animals experiencing acute medical conditions, my overnight rate is for healthy animals and/or animals with well-controlled chronic conditions. Medically fragile animals should be boarded at a veterinary facility with 24/7 staffing.
“Alisa did a great job watching our two older dogs during an extended trip that required daily visits. She followed all instructions and was also willing to help with maintaining our yard which was greatly appreciated. We would definitely use her again and reccomend her to others.”

“She is very smart and friendly. She did all the instructions precisely. My dog was very happy, and she took some lovely photos from my dog and sent them to me while I was in my vacation. I highly recommend her.”

“Having Kendi watch and care for Mr Oliver Willoughby was a relief. Knowing I could count on someone to care for my boy while I was busy was EVERYTHING. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Kendi is the best!”

About: I grew up with two Shih Tzus and was always the designated dogsitter for my aunts and cousins. I have experience with big and small dogs. I've also taken care of both puppies and elderly dogs, and I will make sure he swallows that pill! This is my main job at the moment, so my schedule is wide open! I'm free for walks all throughout the week and can do drop-ins whenever needed. I'm also available to housesit on weekends and weekdays. I don't live with any pets of my own, so I promise to care for them the way I would my own dog. Your dog has my full, undivided attention!
“My cat took to Elizabeth the minute she walked in (and my cat is very shy!) I felt more than safe knowing she was coming over every day to be her!! Also, bonus, she takes the MOST amazing pics!!! 😻”

About: As a lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom, I know every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. What sets me apart is my experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with disabilities, which has taught me the importance of patience, attentiveness, and compassionate care. I’m comfortable administering extra support, moving at your pet’s pace, and paying close attention to the little details that help them feel safe and comfortable. Whether your dog loves long walks, gentle strolls, playtime, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I’ll tailor my care to what makes them happiest. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family, keeping you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is simple: to make sure your pet feels loved, secure, and cared for, even when you can’t be there. I work from home, which means I can give your pup plenty of personalized attention throughout the day instead of just dropping in for the essentials. We typically start the morning with a neighborhood walk, followed by breakfast and some time to relax. In the afternoon, we’ll enjoy playtime, enrichment activities, or another potty break, depending on your dog’s energy level. Evenings include a trip to the park or another walk, dinner, and, of course, lots of cuddles before winding down for the night. I understand that every dog has their own routine, so I’m happy to adapt my schedule to match what they’re used to. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable, loved, and right at home while you’re away. I believe the best pet care starts with maintaining the routine your dog already knows and loves. Before each booking, I take the time to learn about your pet’s schedule, feeding routine, exercise needs, medications, favorite activities, and any special instructions so they feel as comfortable as possible. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a calm, safe environment with plenty of supervision since I work from home. Your dog will enjoy regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, enrichment, and lots of affection throughout the day. I have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with disabilities, so I’m comfortable adjusting activities and providing extra patience and support when needed. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with the same respect I would my own. I stick closely to your pet’s normal routine, keep their environment clean, and make sure they receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they’re used to. I’ll also send regular photo updates and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and in good hands.
“I felt completely at ease going out of country for a few weeks knowing that Dayna would be taking care of my two fur babies again. She’s hard working, reliable and communication is excellent! I returned home to happy kitties. ☺️”

About: Hi I’m Queena! I have had fur babies of my own since as long as I can remember. Growing up with big dogs I’ve also gotten well versed in training and learning about them. I specialize in bigger breeds such as German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Akitas and Pit Bulls. Currently I have a special needs pup and he is my world, caring for him has opened me to many new experiences and hardships. I focus a lot on dietary nutrition and care as a sitter , especially for puppies and senior pups. Over the years I have participated in working dog training to further my knowledge in handling and protection in other breeds such Dobermans and other Bully breeds. Weekdays are preferred, open to weekends too but I’d need notice ahead of time. I can home-sit for up to a week. My off day is Wednesday. I can provide a safe and trusting relationship with your pup(s) when you are away. That includes hourly updates of pictures or videos, and a report at the end of the day. I understand how daunting and uneasy it could be to leave your fur children at home and in care of someone else, as I have also experienced this; I will communicate thoroughly with you to put an ease on your mind. Their daily necessities will be provided (of course!), and any special needs will be fulfilled and reported as well.

“Sarah made this experience so easy for me. I’ve never used this app but I will definitely be requesting Sarah anytime we need help w our dog. She took the best pictures & was so thorough! Highly recommend ?”

About: I have been a dog owner for 16 years and have developed a strong understanding of the care, attention, and responsibility that pets require. Throughout my life, I have also gained hands-on experience caring for animals through house sitting and dog walking for friends, family, and others in my community. These experiences have taught me how important patience, consistency, and attentiveness are in creating a safe and comfortable environment for every pet. I take pride in being dependable and ensuring that each animal receives the same level of care and attention that I would want for my own pets. I genuinely love working with animals, and pet care has always been a consistent part of my daily life. As a longtime pet owner with years of experience caring for dogs and cats through house sitting and pet care, I’m comfortable building my schedule around feeding routines, walks, exercise, playtime, and individual needs. I understand how important consistency and trust are when someone is caring for your pet, and I make it a priority to provide dependable care, plenty of attention, and a safe, comfortable environment where pets can feel happy and at ease while owners have peace of mind. I always prioritize a pet’s safety, comfort, and routine while in my care. Whether I’m caring for pets in my client’s home or during walks and visits, I make sure they receive plenty of attention while maintaining the routines they are familiar with, including feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, and any specific instructions provided by the owner. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, so I take the time to create an environment where they feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for. I also believe communication is important, so I make it a priority to keep owners updated and provide peace of mind while they are away.
About: Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m an LA-based animal lover and proud cat mom to my sweet orange tabby, Jeff. Being a pet parent has been one of the greatest joys of my life, but my love for animals started long before that. I grew up with two golden retrievers, Kona and Maggie, and my family has always joked that I’m the “dog whisperer” because every dog I meet seems to decide we’re best friends. Before joining Rover, I pet sat for family, friends, roommates, and neighbors for years, caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or just having a calm, friendly companion around, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. When you book with me, you can expect reliable care, great communication, lots of photo updates, and someone who will treat your pet like one of their own. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I take that responsibility seriously. I have a remote job so my schedule is very flexible and I am typically available to house sit during the week. I usually have plenty of availability over the weekend for walks or drop-ins as well. Whether it's drop-ins or extended overnight care, I am very happy to learn and follow your routine for your pet in order to provide the best care possible :)
“Ginneh is great! She followed all instructions to a tee, the dogs loved her, and she always went the extra mile when spending time with them. Definitely planning on using her again!”

About: Hi! I’m an experienced pet sitter with 12+ years of caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, and small animals. I’ve also fostered both dogs and cats, giving me experience with pets of all ages, personalities, and care needs! Since I work from home, I have a flexible schedule and can provide plenty of attention, companionship, walks, playtime, and personalized care while you’re away. I’ll take lots of pictures, too! I’m especially comfortable with active pets thanks to my own well-trained 8-year-old Australian Shepherd, Nylo. Whether your pet needs lots of exercise or simply someone to keep them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I work from home and am self-employed, so I have a flexible schedule and can provide attentive care throughout your pet’s stay. Boarding rates cover a 24-hour period. For new clients, drop-off is available from 2:00 PM–8:00 PM so I can give your pet my full attention while they settle in. Returning clients may drop off anytime between 8:00 AM–8:00 PM. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. Since I work from home, your fur baby will receive plenty of attention throughout the day, and walks based on their energy level and routine. For low energy, senior, or special needs dogs, I also have a fully fenced outdoor area with both grass and concrete where they can safely enjoy fresh air and potty breaks without needing a long walk. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special care they may need. Because I have my own dog, safety is very important to me. If I need to step out for an hour or two, all dogs are separated into their own comfortable spaces to ensure a safe environment. I also provide regular photo and message updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

About: Hi! I grew up on my grandmother’s farm in Italy. As an only child, I spent most of my time with animals and learned from an early age how to care for them. My dog, Billie, and my cat, Chico, were my best friends growing up. Fast forward to today: I live in Studio City with my husband. Over the years, I’ve provided professional pet-sitting services through word-of-mouth referrals, caring for dogs of all sizes and cats. I have two cats of our own, whom I love as if they were my children. I’m fascinated by feline behavior and have spent countless hours learning about their needs and personalities. Dogs may be a little easier to understand, but I adore them just as much. 😊 I love going for walks, and I take great pride in providing the best possible care for every pet. I follow instructions carefully, am highly respectful of other people’s homes and routines, and am extremely reliable and dependable. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! As an actress and founder of my own theatre company, I'm fortunate to have a flexible schedule that allows me to embrace a variety of meaningful experiences between projects. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. Spending time with animals combines two things I truly enjoy: being in the open air and caring for pets. Whether it's going for walks, playing, or simply providing care and companionship, looking after pets feels less like a task and more like something that perfectly complements my lifestyle and brings me genuine joy. I offer both pet sitting and house sitting and have experience with both. As a former nanny, I'm very attentive, responsible, and used to caring not only for pets but also for someone's home with the utmost respect. I have previously hosted small dogs in my townhome and would be happy to do so again, provided they are comfortable around cats, as I have two furry babies of my own. If a dog is generally fine with cats but not completely at ease around them, I take extra precautions and have them sleep in a crate at night or whenever I cannot actively supervise. My priority is always everyone's safety and comfort. I am extremely conscientious and prudent. I follow care instructions to the letter, communicate clearly, and take reliability very seriously. Pet owners can trust that their pets, routines, and homes will be cared for exactly as requested.
“Jesslin has been punctual and reports precisely what she has done during her visits. She also goes the extra mile when needed to ensure my cats’ well being. I recommend her highly.”

Beiwei was great! She followed all of our instructions when taking care of our little guy, and sent us update pictures everyday. I especially appreciated her taking photos of how much food and water was being distributed per day and showing his litter all clean. Would book again!!

Ilana was absolutely amazing with our dog, Kirby! From the very beginning, she was incredibly friendly, responsive, and communicative, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She kept us updated, was very detailed in her communication, and it was obvious that she genuinely cared about Kirby's happiness and well-being. The thing that impressed us the most is that she somehow taught Kirby to shake—a trick we've been trying to teach him for years without any success! We couldn't believe it when we saw him do it. It just shows how patient, attentive, and great she is with dogs. Kirby absolutely adored her, and it was clear he was in the best hands. We are so grateful to have found someone we trust completely, and we can't wait to book with Ilana again. We would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and wonderful dog sitter!

Kelly was very friendly, professional and responsive. She answered all my texts extremely fast, shared photo updates of my cats every day and texted if she had any questions - all of which made me feel very at ease while I was away. She even cleaned up a small spill of medicine and brought in a package. I highly recommend booking with Kelly!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
