About: I’ve owned both dogs and cats and genuinely loved being around animals. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m very flexible with my schedule right now since I work from home, which means I can give pets lots of attention, playtime, walks, and companionship throughout the day. I currently don’t have any pets in the house, creating a calm environment for your furry friend. I currently work from home for myself, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets attention throughout the day. I’m able to provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, feeding, and companionship rather than leaving pets alone for long periods. I live in an apartment in a pet-friendly neighborhood with plenty of grass and walking areas nearby, and I’m always happy to take pets to the park for extra exercise and enrichment. I focus on creating a safe, calm, and trustworthy environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for. In both my home and clients’ homes, I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible — including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions. I make sure pets always have fresh water, a clean environment, lots of attention, and safe supervision at all times.

Every animal is different, so I can dutifully follow whatever routines you as the owner need me to follow as your pet’s caregiver to keep them happy and healthy. I also have experience calmly administering medicine orally to cats, dogs, and bearded dragons. In my home we currently have no pets, so if your house-trained pet needs to stay outside of your home for any reason, you can rest assured your pet is safe from any contact with other animals. We live in a 2-family home where the neighbors live in the back of the house and have a friendly, medium-sized dog (mutt). They have their own separate fenced in yard, so their dog will have no contact with your pet. I wanted to be transparent about the presence of a dog on the general property, incase you hear her barking when you drop off your pet, there’s no surprises! About: Hi pet guardians, I’m Tauri. I have extensive dog care experience, including for large working breeds (e.g. Dobermans and German Shepherds). . I’ve walked and watched dogs from 5lbs to 130 pounds. I’m comfortable administering oral medicine and watching multiple dogs and other pets - cats, bunnies, birds, etc. . I have experience with dogs who have separation anxiety and I am open to a constant care option on a case-by-case basis (at a higher rate). . I've completed Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs Master Course, and I'm enrolled in Susan Clothier’s Treat Retreat course, which is geared towards helping dogs who are nervous interacting with people. . I've raised many puppies. I am willing to do walks and drop-ins for puppies. I am open to overnight sits for puppies on a case-by-case basis. Currently, I work remotely, which makes house-sitting possible. . My typical weekday involves working on my computer for 10 hours. I start work between 7am and 9am. I end the day between 5pm and 7pm. I typically don't work weekends or holidays. . On weekdays, I can start a house sit in the evening starting at 7pm or later. If you need the house sit to start earlier than 7pm on a non-holiday weekday I will consider those requests on a case-by-case basis. I can feed and take the dog(s) out to potty in the morning before starting work and I can take the dog(s) on a potty break midday. On weekends, I usually can start the sit earlier than 7pm. . During the week: I am typically not available for walks or drop-in appointments before 7pm. Weekends and holidays: On weekends and holidays I typically can accommodate walks and drop-in appointments. . Disclaimer: I reserve the right to leave to get food and basic necessities during a house sit at any point. I also reserve the right to leave for 4-6 hours during the day. . Constant Care: Pets requiring constant care will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will be subject to additional fees depending on the pets specific needs. I consider a pet to need constant care if the pet: (1) cannot be left for 4 hours at a time and/or (2) will need supervision or attention during 8 hours overnight (sleep time for me) or during the day while I work. In-person Meet & Greets are required prior to all services for new clients. I need to meet the pet(s) and assess temperament. . For dogs I want to go on a walk with the dogs and make sure the leashes, collars and equipment used to walk the pet is in good condition and the pet cannot slip out of the equipment. I want to see the typical walk environment and assess potential safety hazards (coyotes, aggressive dogs behind flimsy fences, debris in the area, etc.) and logistical issues (elevators, stairs, parking). . For all pets the in-person Meet & Greet will also allow me to assess the escape risks for pets and options for minimizing these risks. . The Meet & Greet will also allow you the opportunity to meet me in person, ask me questions and see me interact with your pet. Entrusting your pet and your home to a stranger is a very important decision for you and it should be taken seriously. If for some reason you do feel comfortable with me watching your pets or staying in your house after the Meet & Greet, you should meet with another sitter and find one that matches your needs. . Miscellaneous: I do not plan to bring any people or pets (other than the ones you are asking me to watch) into your home while I pet sit. . Disclaimer: I reserve the right to refuse the sit if after the Meet and Greet I am not comfortable with the situation. While I have experience with aggressive dogs and cats, my overnight sit rate is for social/well-adjusted animals. Animals in need of behavioral modification or that pose a safety risk to myself or others should be boarded at a facility that is geared towards aggressive animals. Similarly, while I have experience caring for animals post surgery or animals experiencing acute medical conditions, my overnight rate is for healthy animals and/or animals with well-controlled chronic conditions. Medically fragile animals should be boarded at a veterinary facility with 24/7 staffing.

About: My Cairn Terriers (like Toto from Oz) hike Griffith and Runyon, chase squirrels, dig holes, play fetch at Weddington Park and take long walks. Sometimes we just lay in the sun or snuggle on the couch, but this is a loving home that is grain free, caters to the Fluff gang and we’re big on patience and attention. I've raised five dogs in my life - German Shepard, Black Lab, Lhasa Opso and now my Cairns. Having learned so much from each of them and the love I have for dogs in general, I'm excited to welcome your loved one into my home and help you be at ease knowing they're well cared for. I know nothing can keep you from missing your pet, but a confidence in them being comfortable and loved while you're away is a great help. ***Originally DogVacay, I’ve been with the service since 2010 and rarely open up to new clients. After a few folks moved out of town and others had kids which limited travel time, I’m opening up again. My preference would be to begin those same kind of long term care relationships with people who travel often or for larger lengths of time which allows your pup to feel as though they’re always going to a safe and familiar space with friends they know and love playing with. Working from home has allowed me to better care for my own senior pups and also gives me the freedom to spoil your loved one as well. My two friendly senior pups and I enjoy a gated back yard that still sees birds and squirrels enough to entertain them while being safe from any interactions. We have astroturf for back scratching and enjoying the sun, as well as a front yard, quiet cul de sac streets and a giant park for leisurely walks.

About: Hi! I am a dog mom myself, so my husband and I will work together to take great care of your pooch! I have a Golden Retriever, Toby. He’s high energy and loves to play so sometimes comes in hot with others. Please let me know if there have been any issues with that with your dog. I had a little one for 14 years so comfortable with all sizes of dogs- I love them all. My schedule is pretty flexible and I will definitely try to accommodate your timing needs. I am home most of the day Tues-Fri. My husband is home on weekends and can be WFH flexible on Mondays for dog care as needed. Our golden, Toby, always gets a walk in the morning and plays throughout the day. Access to the fenced backyard is available all day. I have a fenced front and back yard. Dogs have access to the backyard all day when we’re home, and will be encouraged to go potty before we leave to go anywhere. No unsupervised front yard time, but if we’re doing stuff, they can hang out. We can crate other dogs, but Toby does not get crated, so happy to cover the crate to reduce fomo!
