“I would give a ten star review if I could. Fantastic family, so caring and compassionate towards animals, especially my old dog, Lady. She has never been left with a sitter before. When I checked around too many places offered to keep her in a crate but she has never been crated before so we did not want that. With this family she had the run of the house and yard and slept on their bed at night which she does at home. My only fear was that at the end of her stay she would not want to leave. But she was glad to come home and during my trip I had peace of mind and no worries that she was in good hands. Highly recommend this family to take care of your dog. I will when I travel again!”

They were also quick to notice when something was off with Sonic. His dew claw was unfortunately growing a bit too long and was causing him some pain, but Salim and Alexandra communicated it with me quickly, asked my preference of how I'd like to handle it, and got Sonic seen by my regular vet to take care of it all within about an hour. They were also super understanding when my return flight came in a bit later in the afternoon than expected due to unforeseen circumstances. I am so glad to have booked with sitters that were so invested in Sonic's wellbeing and care, and I cannot recommend them enough.”

About: My first time pet/house sitting was for my neighbor with 2 cats. This become a constant throughout my high school years and has extended into present day with my family/friends. About: I grew up in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, surrounded by salty ocean air and animals that always seemed to find their way to me. I’ve loved cats for as long as I can remember and began taking in strays at a young age… at one point, I was caring for 32 outdoor cats at just 8 years old, with the help of my family, of course. These early experiences taught me responsibility, compassion, and the importance of spaying and neutering to help control the stray population. As I got older, I began fostering kittens and cats indoors, giving them a safe place to land. This is how I found my cat, Haven, who lived her full life with me for 13 years before passing earlier this year. Caring for her through every stage of life gave me deep patience and understanding. “Amazing care for our two pups!! Elena was super responsive and understanding, even for our last-minute request. We needed doggy day care while we visited Universal Studios, as our hotel didn’t allow dogs to be left unattended in the room. We road-tripped down from Seattle (with our 2 dogs & 2 kiddos) and camped along the way, which left us a little frazzled and haggard... Elena was very empathetic and caring, despite my lack of proper research, planning, and punctuality.. lol Probably should’ve looked into things a bit more in-depth about the hotel pet policy beforehand, but I am incredibly grateful that Elena was able to take the pups while we visited the parks for a couple days. She was very tolerant, observant, and nurturing with our two pets, and I think they had a great time… even though they aren’t the best-trained dogs. We have a 4-year-old sassy chihuahua-heeler mix, and a 1.25-year-old Malinois-cattle dog mix. They are sweet girls, but have a strange dynamic. Elena took them in stride and handled them with care, as if they were her own. 10/10!! Couldn’t have asked for a better pet-sitter in our time of need. Thank you so much, Elena!!”

About: As a child I always had dogs and cats at home and was always around farm animals (thank you Minnesota upbringing). In 2018 I moved to LA as a travel nurse and in 2020 I did get my first dog on my own. During my 12hr shifts I depended on daycare sitters while I worked so I have personal experience with the vulnerabilities of leaving your loved one “with a stranger.” But those “strangers” Quickly became my dog and I’s good friends! I want you to know that your requests on how you want your loved one taken care of will be honored and respected. There’s nothing worse or annoying when sitters don’t respect the boundaries you have requested (been there done that). So whatever you and your loved one needs I’m here to provide. I am currently on maternity leave and home all day everyday. This allows me to be very flexible on a day to day basis. My dog Ria likes to get out at least 3x a day whether it’s a walk in the neighborhood or Griffith or a visit to the dog park and she’d love a friend to join her! My husband and I, along with our own precious dog, live in a one story- 3 bedroom house with a fenced in yard. My dog is allowed anywhere and everywhere and yours will be too!

About: Having a dog and 2 cats as a kid was the best childhood! I am home most of the day so I have lots of time to walk and play with your pup! I live with my boyfriend who also loves animals. I have been freelance dog sitting/walking for the last year through friends but looking for more furry friends here! About: I’ve been fortunate to grow up with many different breeds and sizes. When my parents were working, my main chore was to walk my dogs around the neighborhood and feed them dinner. In addition, taking them to vet appointments and the dog park for a change of scenery. I have dog sat for extended families pets and take joy in any dog I encounter familial or on the street. About: Hi, I’m Allyssa! I’ve been caring for both dogs and cats my entire life. I have experience walking, training, exercising, playing and socializing with dogs and cats of all ages/breeds/sizes. I am a very attentive, kind, caring and patient person. To me a dog or a cat is one hundred percent more than a pet, but an extension of you, and therefore very much a part of your family. About: I've been around animals and helping care for them from a young age, so taking care of pets has always been a natural part of my life. I grew up with a variety of dogs, including Chocolate Labrador Retrievers, Shiba Inus, Huskies, and Chihuahuas, so I'm comfortable with dogs of all different sizes, breeds, and personalities! I've also house-sat for dogs that required extra care, including giving oral medications, keeping up with scheduled walks, feeding, and, of course, making sure they get plenty of playtime and attention. My experience isn't limited to dogs either! I've cared for cats overnight and have experience giving oral medications, cleaning litter boxes, keeping up with feeding and fresh water, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I'm also currently a proud cat parent to two beautiful cats of my own, so I know how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your pets. I always try to treat every animal I care for like they're one of my own! I work from home and have flexible hours, which makes it easy for me to fit pet care into my daily routine. I’m able to provide regular walks, playtime, feeding, medication, and plenty of attention throughout the day. My flexible schedule also allows me to adjust to each pet’s normal routine and specific needs. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, so I do my best to make them feel safe and comfortable while in my care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their usual feeding, walking, playtime, and medication schedules as closely as possible. I also make sure they have fresh water, a clean environment, and plenty of attention. I’m respectful of both the pet and the client’s home and will always communicate if I have any questions or concerns.

About: My Cairn Terriers (like Toto from Oz) hike Griffith and Runyon, chase squirrels, dig holes, play fetch at Weddington Park and take long walks. I've raised five dogs in my life - German Shepard, Black Lab, Lhasa Opso and now my Cairns. I know nothing can keep you from missing your pet, but a confidence in them being comfortable and loved while you're away is a great help. ***Originally DogVacay, I’ve been with the service since 2010 and rarely open up to new clients. After a few folks moved out of town and others had kids which limited travel time, I’m opening up again. My preference would be to begin those same kind of long term care relationships with people who travel often or for larger lengths of time which allows your pup to feel as though they’re always going to a safe and familiar space with friends they know and love playing with. Working from home has allowed me to better care for my own senior pups and also gives me the freedom to spoil your loved one as well. My two friendly senior pups and I enjoy a gated back yard that still sees birds and squirrels enough to entertain them while being safe from any interactions. We have astroturf for back scratching and enjoying the sun, as well as a front yard, quiet cul de sac streets and a giant park for leisurely walks.

They were also quick to notice when something was off with Sonic. His dew claw was unfortunately growing a bit too long and was causing him some pain, but Salim and Alexandra communicated it with me quickly, asked my preference of how I'd like to handle it, and got Sonic seen by my regular vet to take care of it all within about an hour. They were also super understanding when my return flight came in a bit later in the afternoon than expected due to unforeseen circumstances. I am so glad to have booked with sitters that were so invested in Sonic's wellbeing and care, and I cannot recommend them enough.”

“Tyler took our boys in for a Saturday-Sunday adventure, which I call their “little vacation,” and took amazing care of them. Our puppy is only 17 weeks old, so he requires a lot of work, including frequent potty breaks. Even though he is potty-trained and can hold all night, he is not completely housebroken. Our older one is only 14 months old, so he’s not that much older and he pulls on his walks and gets the zoomies every night. I appreciate Tyler’s willingness to accept these two Frenchie pups and spend a Saturday night with them. I love Tyler’s energy and how calm he is. Our older one loves going to Tyler’s place. “We have only left our dog with anyone else once, nearly a year after adopting him. It was a disaster because of his severe separation anxiety. When we met Sandi and her husband Jeff the first time, our dog was very relaxed and more friendly and affectionate than he ever is with new people. He seemed very comfortable in their home and their yard and we were relieved to have found a place that we felt comfortable trying again. During the 2 days and nights we were away, we were certain he would need to be given CBD or tranquilizers to keep him calm, but he didn't need them! He missed us but did not exhibit the behavior he had before and Sandi and Jeff said that he was happy at his chosen place in the window or on his bed in front of the fireplace, and responded to their affection. I can't say how relieved we are to have found a solution for our occasional needs to visit places where he can't come with us. Sandi made us feel confident that she could handle his anxiety, and she clearly made him feel more at ease and relaxed. I loved the photos she sent, updating us several times over the couple of days we were gone, and we will definitely call again the next time we leave town. What a relief!”
