About: Having a dog and 2 cats as a kid was the best childhood! I am home most of the day so I have lots of time to walk and play with your pup! I live with my boyfriend who also loves animals. I have been freelance dog sitting/walking for the last year through friends but looking for more furry friends here! I am based in North Hollywood and generally service Noho, Burbank, Toluca Lake, Studio City and parts of Sherman Oaks I don’t accept animals from multiple households at once for my safety and theirs. I have multiple screen doors where they can safely watch the world outside at all the people and dogs who might pass by. I can also offer daytime sitting in someone’s home as long as my laptop and internet access is allowed!

About: My Cairn Terriers (like Toto from Oz) hike Griffith and Runyon, chase squirrels, dig holes, play fetch at Weddington Park and take long walks. Sometimes we just lay in the sun or snuggle on the couch, but this is a loving home that is grain free, caters to the Fluff gang and we’re big on patience and attention. I've raised five dogs in my life - German Shepard, Black Lab, Lhasa Opso and now my Cairns. Having learned so much from each of them and the love I have for dogs in general, I'm excited to welcome your loved one into my home and help you be at ease knowing they're well cared for. I know nothing can keep you from missing your pet, but a confidence in them being comfortable and loved while you're away is a great help. ***Originally DogVacay, I’ve been with the service since 2010 and rarely open up to new clients. After a few folks moved out of town and others had kids which limited travel time, I’m opening up again. My preference would be to begin those same kind of long term care relationships with people who travel often or for larger lengths of time which allows your pup to feel as though they’re always going to a safe and familiar space with friends they know and love playing with. Working from home has allowed me to better care for my own senior pups and also gives me the freedom to spoil your loved one as well. My two friendly senior pups and I enjoy a gated back yard that still sees birds and squirrels enough to entertain them while being safe from any interactions. We have astroturf for back scratching and enjoying the sun, as well as a front yard, quiet cul de sac streets and a giant park for leisurely walks.

I typically don't work weekends or holidays. . On weekdays, I can start a house sit in the evening starting at 7pm or later. If you need the house sit to start earlier than 7pm on a non-holiday weekday I will consider those requests on a case-by-case basis. I can feed and take the dog(s) out to potty in the morning before starting work and I can take the dog(s) on a potty break midday. On weekends, I usually can start the sit earlier than 7pm. . During the week: I am typically not available for walks or drop-in appointments before 7pm. Weekends and holidays: On weekends and holidays I typically can accommodate walks and drop-in appointments. . Disclaimer: I reserve the right to leave to get food and basic necessities during a house sit at any point. I also reserve the right to leave for 4-6 hours during the day. . Constant Care: Pets requiring constant care will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will be subject to additional fees depending on the pets specific needs. I consider a pet to need constant care if the pet: (1) cannot be left for 4 hours at a time and/or (2) will need supervision or attention during 8 hours overnight (sleep time for me) or during the day while I work. In-person Meet & Greets are required prior to all services for new clients. I need to meet the pet(s) and assess temperament. . For dogs I want to go on a walk with the dogs and make sure the leashes, collars and equipment used to walk the pet is in good condition and the pet cannot slip out of the equipment. I want to see the typical walk environment and assess potential safety hazards (coyotes, aggressive dogs behind flimsy fences, debris in the area, etc.) and logistical issues (elevators, stairs, parking). . For all pets the in-person Meet & Greet will also allow me to assess the escape risks for pets and options for minimizing these risks. . The Meet & Greet will also allow you the opportunity to meet me in person, ask me questions and see me interact with your pet. Entrusting your pet and your home to a stranger is a very important decision for you and it should be taken seriously. If for some reason you do feel comfortable with me watching your pets or staying in your house after the Meet & Greet, you should meet with another sitter and find one that matches your needs. . Miscellaneous: I do not plan to bring any people or pets (other than the ones you are asking me to watch) into your home while I pet sit. . Disclaimer: I reserve the right to refuse the sit if after the Meet and Greet I am not comfortable with the situation. While I have experience with aggressive dogs and cats, my overnight sit rate is for social/well-adjusted animals. Animals in need of behavioral modification or that pose a safety risk to myself or others should be boarded at a facility that is geared towards aggressive animals. Similarly, while I have experience caring for animals post surgery or animals experiencing acute medical conditions, my overnight rate is for healthy animals and/or animals with well-controlled chronic conditions. Medically fragile animals should be boarded at a veterinary facility with 24/7 staffing.

About: Been a dog owner all my life so I know how to read a dog's mood or figure out what it is they need. I have now been a rover sitter for 6 years and during my time have met and watched so many different breeds, each with their own quirks and needs. The well being of the dog in my care is the utmost importance. I love to play with them, give plenty of scratches and take them on nice walks in my neighborhood to make sure they're living a happy and healthy life. All pups are kept clean, fed and stress free while they’re here. I'm also almost always home and I live with my family so someone is always here just in case I need to leave the house. Our home is filled with huge animal lovers so your dog will have a good time and be treated just like family :) Honestly I just love dogs so much and know how nerve wracking/stressful it can be leaving your fur baby while you’re away so I make it my priority that they are safe and happy and taken care of so that when it’s time to pick them up they will feel like they were on their own lil vacation too! I work from home so I’m almost always here and can easily take the dogs out when they need or provide playtime but in the rare case that I do need to leave the house I either take the pups with me or a family member stays with them while I leave the house. I live in an apartment that’s pretty secure and closed off, I’ve never had any safety issues with the dogs. In the event that a pup runs out the door, the way my apartment is structured with locks and doors that would keep them from running out of the building
