About: Hello! My name is Autumn (: I’ve grown up with all different types of animals my whole life, I currently have 2 fur babies myself! I have a Border Collie Mix (Laszlo) and a big Golden Doodle (Cooper)! I’ve been pet and house sitting animals outside of my own since I was 12 years and old, and as a side hustle all throughout high school/college. I love animals will ALL my heart and would love to help care for others pets of any age or breed ☺️ I’m currently working mornings at my job so I have lots of free time in the afternoon/nights and weekends which I know a lot of people who either have to work late or night shift may need some help with! My partner works from home so he’s always with our fur babies which gives me time to help out others! I am more than happy to do whatever’s on your checklist to care for your fur baby, sending a picture of them to ease any of your worries, crating when leaving, leaving them in a designated area of the home, and I have experience with giving medication if needed also! I know the worries that can come with leaving your fur babies with someone else and I would guarantee treating them with the same love and care that I give my own pets!
“Yvonne is awesome!! Very calm and personable and clearly has a deep love for animals. Our two cats were very well taken care of while we were gone and Yvonne even helped us coming up with a great solution for one cat stealing the other’s food. Will definitely book her again!”

“Elizabeth was so sweet and did an amazing job with our pups! We felt completely at ease and comfortable after meeting her, and will definitely trust her to take care of our dogs in the future.”

About: My wife and I have both grown up with dogs and have always loved the companionship and personality they bring to our lives. We work from home, so your dog won’t be alone for long. Our routine includes regular walks around the block and visits to nearby parks. Our building is very pet-friendly, and we have dog bowls, bedding, a medium-sized crate, chew toys, and the occasional treat ready to make your pup feel at home. We’re also happy to send regular updates and photos while you’re away. As a fun little perk, I’m also a professional pet photographer. For stays of 2 nights or longer, I’d be happy to do a complimentary mini photo shoot of your pet. Professionally edited photos are available for purchase separately. We also offer home-cooked dog food as an optional add-on service. Just ask us for details! We’d love to welcome your best friend into our home! Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine. Trish works from her home office, so there’s almost always someone around to give your dog attention and company throughout the day. We like to make pets feel right at home from the moment they arrive. We give them plenty of attention, petting, playtime, and cuddles, while keeping their normal routines as much as possible. We’re also happy to prepare a home-cooked meal from time to time if your pup enjoys something a little special. Most importantly, we treat every pet like they’re part of the family.
About: I have had and cared for many different sizes and breeds of dogs my whole life. I am always a pet sitter that my friends and family can count on! I currently work part time as a barista so I always have time to take over when you need the help. You never need to worry about finding someone because I will always show up! My home is 100% pet-proofed. All windows have secure screens and my space is entirely free of toxic plants and chemicals. All cords are safely locked away and I have a quiet, dedicated room where shy fur babies can safely relax at their own pace if needed. My home is completely dog-proofed and secure for apartment living. Because I do not have a yard, all dogs are strictly 100% leashed before opening any doors for outdoor or potty breaks. I also do not care for pets from different families at the same time so there will be no issues during feeding.
“Emily was amazing with my dog, Watson! She was so kind and went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and comfortable. She always checked in with me, sent lots of photos, and made him feel truly loved. Now, when we’re home, Watson will walk up to the door hoping she shows up, which says everything about how much he adores her. I’m so grateful for the care she gave him and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can fully trust with their pup :)”

About: Hi, I'm Christina! I have been taking care of cats and dogs since I was a kid. I grew up taking care of pets and pet sitting for friends, I would love to do the same for you! I love meeting my friends' pets and taking care of them when my friends are out of town, I'd love to meet your pet! I currently work part time about 25 hours a week in retail but I'm given my schedule 2 weeks in advance so let me know ASAP when you need me to pop in! I cant do overnight shifts but Im happy to come by during the day, at meal times etc. I am available for drop ins and dogs walking only as I have a small apartment and a cat of my own. I'll be sure to leave your home clean and locked up. Please let me know if you have an animal that will run out at an open door and I will be extra careful!
“Lane was so kind and patient with my senior cat! I’m so grateful for her care and attention to detail. Also the pics she took of my cat are so cute! I will be rebooking in the future! 😃”

“Sara was great! She took care of our cat during an extended period, checking in regularly and providing updates that gave us peace of mind. Her communication was good, she was friendly, and reliable. We’ll be using Sara’s services again and would recommend her.”

“After having to make a last minute trip out of town my fiance and I were scrambling to find somone to take care of our pup. We have an American pitbull which many people may not feel comfortable with. We were so excited when we came across Seanna's account and impressed with the experience being offered. The communication was great and she sent us pictures of our pup as well. We highly recommend her services and would 100% use her in the future.”

“Jamie truly went above and beyond for me and my kitties. I lost my sitter the day before and was just recovered from a bout of chronic illness flares. I came home to not only happy kitties, a clean smelling home but a few nice touches to the litter box to make it easier for my Return. She even helped a couple dishes I didn’t get to the night before. Truly grateful for all her help, attention to detail and sneaking photos of my Shy boy who hid under my bed per usual. Thank you so much !!!”

“We love how Alyssa interacted with our pup from the very beginning. Love the communication we got from her. She was very attentive and caring. We definitely will be using her from now. Definitely recommend her!!”

“Genesis was amazing! She came to save the day on last minute plans. She’s incredibly responsive, flexible and helpful! I came home to a happy well taken care of fur baby and home. She’s very trusting and I would hire her again!”

“Absolutely amazing. Catherine is super kind and great with my cat babies. I knew she could be trusted when my cat greeted her immediately upon meeting with her, plus she carries a laser light with her, she knows how to win a cats heart. Great communication and flexibility - she sent wonderful messages, photos and videos. Would absolutely recommend.”

“Dea's love for animals is so obvious through the care, attention, and updates she sends. By the end of the week, she and my cat were great friends, and that's even after having to give him meds daily. I know in the future my kitty is in great hands now that Dea and him are pals.”

“I was so nervous about leaving my cat for the first time, but Dayna went above and beyond taking care of him. My cat is normally very nervous around strangers, but Dayna was able to very quickly bring him out of his shell. She sent the best updates and photos every day documenting their fun playtime. I came home to a very happy kitty!”

“Katharine has been a great Rover w my dog. She got her to eat even tho my dog is very picky to eat when we are not home so that to me means a lot and tells me my dog felt safe and secure with her in their visits. I will definitely book her again.”

“Gabriela's catsitting for our cat Riddle was the definition of above and beyond. Our cat is one year old and very energetic. When this meant that she toppled the auto-feeding machine that we had set up for the mornings (multiple times), Gabriela went out of her way to come to our apartment outside of her scheduled check-ins (multiple times) to make sure Riddle still got fed and to fix the machine (ultimately improvising a clever solution to support it involving a scarf and a bookshelf). Needless to say, we will be getting a new auto-feeder but keeping the same catsitter in the future if we can, haha. Gabriela was attentive and helpful and Riddle was head over hills for her, I would absolutely recommend her to look after your pet!”

Emily was so good to me and my kitty Yu-Jin! ♡ I contacted her very last minute before a trip and she was stellar. Thank you for your quick reply and assurance, and for all the photo updates on the trip, and taking care of my sweet boy!! He looked so happy to get so much attention. Thank you a million thanks Emily ♡
Dana is a wonderful and thoughtful sitter. The photos that she sent of our dog and cat showed how happy they were with her. We felt secure in our choice of sitter and would definitely choose Dana in the future. She even watered our tomatoes while we were gone! Excellent sitter all around!

Paris did an excellent job taking care of my cat, who is a very picky eater and slow to trust anyone. She gave me regular updates and was very patient trying new techniques to get him to eat and socialize. I came home to a very happy kitty! Overall Paris was a responsible sitter who went above and beyond to make sure my scaredy cat was well taken care of. I’d trust her to watch my pet again.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
