“We had such a great experience with our dog sitter! They did an amazing job taking care of Archie and kept me updated throughout the entire day. They sent me lots of pictures, which really helped me feel comfortable and reassured while I was away. It was clear that Archie was well taken care of and in good hands. I truly appreciate how attentive and caring they were. I would definitely recommend them and would book with them again! 🐶❤️”

“Mandy was such a savior. Unfortunately, a sitter we were going to book with had to cancel last minute, so we reached out to Mandy, and she was super flexible. She sent a ton of updates, so I never felt anxious about how Nami was doing! Nami came home Very happy and exhausted from a fun day with Mandy. Would 100% recommend!”

“I just moved to LA and Atom was not adjusting well. Nicole worked with me immediately to change my services from daily walks to daycare. Atom was chewing his tail when left alone. At Nicole’s place, he has snuggled with her all day and has not left her side. I was so happy that she was able to accommodate us and care for my little boy. I would recommend Nicole a thousand times over. Best dog care my puppies have ever received!”

“Mary is absolutely wonderful. Dogs are her passion, and she immediately bonded with my border collie, Randy. She has a beautiful home and a huge backyard for doggie playtime or just hanging out. Mary’s adorable cocker spaniel Molly is super friendly, and she and Randy became fast friends. I will definitely contact Mary for more dog sitting!”

“I had to find a new sitter for my two small dogs recently and was nervous about them adjusting to someone new. Katharine put my mind and ease and made sure my pups were comfortable. They both looked so happy in the pictures she sent me! I will be booking with Katharine again soon.”

“We love Kieran and Marty! Kieran is always a great communicator and so sweet. Our dog is always in great hands & we always feel as ease when Kieran is taking care of our sweet Houdini. ❤️”

“Trish and Andre were fantastic! Mochi had a great time and got plenty of exercise. They were also very communicative and sent fun photos and videos throughout the day. Will certainly book with them again!”

“Ofelia was a great sitter for our dog Benny. She was communicative and provided updates. Benny seemed to be happy to come back and it’s great knowing he was loved and cared for!”

About: Growing up in Chicago I've had dogs/cats my whole entire life. Moving to LA made it unavailable for me to have my own anymore. I can exercise with dogs. I do runyan canyon atleast 3 times a week. I work from home and enjoy getting out every two hours for 30 minutes and having a lil buddy to hang out with during the day while I work. I broke both of my legs last year in a pair of motorcycle accidents so I really have a new appreciation for walking haha. I'd say your dog and I are doing each other favors. Your pup is in good hands with me. I keep it simple and I'll do what you need me to do with your dog.

“Sandi is a great sitter! My gf was worried initially but was very pleased with Sandi’s care. Enzo loved his stay that actually hesitated to leave. Would definitely leave Enzo in her care again. Thank you so much Sandi!”

Thank you so much for taking such great care of Noche!”

I cannot say enough nice things about Angelique!! She was absolutely amazing with my dog and made me feel so comfortable leaving him with her. She is very attentive and knowledgeable. Angelique asked questions to make sure my dog would be as comfortable as he could be while staying with her (some I hadn’t even thought about until she asked!). This is just the tip of the iceberg - I could go on and on. I HIGHLY recommend sending your pet to Angelique!!

Omar was absolutely wonderful with little Rocket today! I’m so grateful for his flexibility and willingness to watch him on such short notice. He sent amazing updates throughout the day along with so many beautiful photos, which gave me complete peace of mind knowing Rocket was happy and well cared for. Thank you so much, Omar. You’re the best! We’ll definitely be booking with you again.

I’ve known Pina for 5 years now. She’s the only Rover sitter I trust. Pina has a beautiful backyard where my dog Roz loves to explore and play with other dogs. I’m always given daily updates with photos. My senior dog, Sid, who passed away a few years ago always loved his time sun bathing in Pina’s backyard. I can’t recommend Pina enough.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Christina was absolutely amazing! She took our 9-week-old puppy on very short notice and made us feel completely at ease. She kept him safe, cared for him like he was her own, and even gave him some toys to take home, which was such a thoughtful surprise. We really appreciate how kind, reliable, and accommodating she was. We would definitely recommend Christina to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter, and we’ll absolutely be booking with her again.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Valley Village commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
