“I was really nervous to leave my dog because it was his first time and he’s usually very scared of people. But she did an amazing job he had so much fun, felt completely relaxed at her place, and she took such good care of him. I highly recommend her a thousand times!”

“Mayra is awesome! She is reliable, committed and thoughtful. My dog Percy had a daycare session with her and I received an update and photo midway thru the 8 hour session. I highly recommend Mayra...5+ stars!”
“Thrilled that Micah lives near us! He is clearly such a thoughtful and attentive person (with people and dogs) and is very communicative. We definitely hope to have our dog Bo spend time with him again.”

“We’re so grateful for the amazing care she gave our dog 🤍 She did a wonderful job, kept us updated, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. You can truly tell she loves animals and treats them like her own. Very thankful for her help and would absolutely trust her again!”

“Ekaterina is such a great sitter! Great communicator, sends pictures and updates throughout the day. My doggie is a blind anxious doggy and she is so patient with him.”

“Ksenia was so sweet! She was very flexible with my schedule and I appreciate that so much. Super easy to communicate with and my pups had a good time with her. :))”

“Love Ana so much! She gives amazing care to our puppy. He always comes home so happy and tired from playing and being snuggled all day. And more importantly he gets super excited to see her again! She truly loves animals. She’s flexible with pick up and drop off times, and is super fast communicating all day! Highly recommend!!”

“Ixchel is fantastic! She requested a meet and greet with me and Toby before the sitting. After, Toby was happy and excited to see her again. She sent me pictures and is very responsive. 100% recommend!”

“We needed a sitter for our dog for a last minute trip to Universal Studios and Jack was able to watch her! We received updates on her throughout the day and she seemed happy when we picked her up!”

“This was my second time leaving Rocky at Katerina for daycare. I felt like the Hudsband and Wife truly cared for my dog. I also appreciate the fact that they meet with you in less than 2 minutes to hand over my dog, unlike my previous caretaker, who made me wait 10-15 minutes each time.”

About: Hi! I’m Roberto, a musician with a big love for dogs. When I’m not on tour, I have lots of free time and enjoy spending it doing something that brings me joy: being around dogs. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have always felt a deep connection with them. Over the years, I’ve also volunteered at animal shelters whenever I could, helping care for pups of all shapes and sizes. Because of my travel schedule, I can’t have a dog of my own right now but hosting a furry friend in my studio during my downtime is the next best thing. It fills my home with warmth, energy, and tail wags, and it gives me a chance to give dogs the attention and love they deserve. Whether your pup needs a calm space to relax or someone to play and cuddle with, I’d be honored to look after them while you’re away When i'm in town and not on the road i like to spend time with dogs they bring me a lot of joy and I have the time for it. I have a studio apartment, i live by myself and I'm very careful and aware when i host pets. always prioritizing their need and making sure they feel comfortable and safe.
About: I am a city girl who cannot live a full life without pups around. I have a 5lb toy poodle named Fontaine. She is 9 and the highlight of my days. She’s sweet and gets along just fine with other pups, she spent most her life in a house with 5 other dogs of all sizes. My dog before her was a cocker spaniel that was my first baby, Rizzo. I grew up with cocker spaniel's and adore those long hair cuties! I have a big personality and become besties with all the dogs I watch and spoil them as much as you can in a healthy way! Since I work from home I am here just about 24/7 especially since I love my home and my pup. I can take your pup out as much as needed, I love to walk my neighborhood. I am fully comfortable with any particular special care whether that is carrying them down stairs, medications, needy or anything else out there. Finding someone you are comfortable with to watch your baby is a difficult, super stressful time (at-least for me). So ask away so you can see I am a good fit with that precious little fur ball! My schedule is very open, the only big moves are when I go out of town otherwise I am a homebody and can adjust my schedule majority if not all the time if something does come up. I take my pup out every couple hours and 2 longer walks a day. I am in an apartment but good size and large comfy bed/couches. Plus 3 dog beds through out the house!
“Blu admirably and compassionately handled my dog with severe separation anxiety. He’s a really nice guy and I have no doubt that my dog is in great hands with him, would recommend!”

About: I am very patient and loving with the pets I take care of. I try to create a true sanctuary at my apartment and a stress-free environment for the pet while away from home. Growing up, we had a huge Saint Bernard dog and later a Turkish Angora cat for many years. This is how I developed unconditional love for my furry friends. I also have some experience taking care of birds. I am open to any challenge, though. I make sure that your pet is very well groomed during its stay and is not left alone for too long. My building is tranquil and doesn't have loud noises that can scare most kitties and doggies. :-) There are plenty of birds and squirrels to watch out for outside large windows. So fun! I send plenty of videos and photos, multiple and daily, so it is also a stress-free experience for pet owners. I can do some dog and cat training and administer medication if needed. I am available at the last minute and have plenty of time to give your pet my attention throughout the day. I work from home so your pet will spend most of his\her day around me I live alone in a private and spacious apartment with plenty of space for anything my pets may need while they are away from home. Pets love watching birds and squirrels outside my windows.
“Barbara is our new go-to in the neighborhood! Nemo loves going to her place and we always get a bunch of adorable pics of him. She’s responsible and we really feel like he’s in good hands with her. He comes home tired and happy! Highly recommend!”

About: My name is Lisa and I’d gladly take care of your pets if you stay around Los Angeles area! I have about 10+ years of experience with cats and dogs, including special needs and senior pups. Animals have always held a special place in my heart, and spending time with them is genuinely one of my greatest joys. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’m here to ensure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for. You can rest easy knowing I’ll treat your beloved pet like family, with plenty of affection and attention to their unique needs. 😊🐾 I’m currently working part-time so I have plenty of availability to hang out with your furry family member, day and night! Weekdays and weekends available, thank you :) When caring for pets in a client’s home, safety and trust are my top priorities. I maintain a consistent routine for feeding, exercise, and playtime for your pup :) I keep an open line of communication with pet owners, providing updates with lots of photos to reassure them that their pets are happy and safe with me. My goal is to create a nurturing environment where pets feel secure and loved, whether in their own home or mine.
“Brittany has been amazing with my dog Rock! He’s a puppy so requires a lot of attention and energy and Brittany has gone above and beyond at helping me train and socialize him. She sends regular updates during the day and Rock always comes home happy and calm! 10/10 recommend”

Valari was really nice and patient despite Theo being scared during their first meeting. Seems like Theo warmed up to him quick after he was able to take him from us. He communicated and sent photo/video when needed to keep us updated while we were away for a few hours. Will recommend him to anyone who will need care for their pup even with short notice.

Roxanne was amazing! She accepted our last-minute holiday booking, which was such a huge help. Bella came home happy, well cared for, and completely tired out from all the fun she had. It was clear Bella received lots of love and attention during her stay. We would absolutely book with Roxanne again whenever we’re in the Los Angeles area. Highly recommend!

Amazing care for our two pups!! Elena was super responsive and understanding, even for our last-minute request. We needed doggy day care while we visited Universal Studios, as our hotel didn’t allow dogs to be left unattended in the room. We road-tripped down from Seattle (with our 2 dogs & 2 kiddos) and camped along the way, which left us a little frazzled and haggard... Elena was very empathetic and caring, despite my lack of proper research, planning, and punctuality.. lol Probably should’ve looked into things a bit more in-depth about the hotel pet policy beforehand, but I am incredibly grateful that Elena was able to take the pups while we visited the parks for a couple days. She was very tolerant, observant, and nurturing with our two pets, and I think they had a great time… even though they aren’t the best-trained dogs. We have a 4-year-old sassy chihuahua-heeler mix, and a 1.25-year-old Malinois-cattle dog mix. They are sweet girls, but have a strange dynamic. Elena took them in stride and handled them with care, as if they were her own. 10/10!! Couldn’t have asked for a better pet-sitter in our time of need. Thank you so much, Elena!!

Pamela was wonderful with Kizzy while I was away for a long day trip. She was so accommodating and even allowed me to pick him up later in the evening, which I really appreciated. Kizzy had such a fun time and was happily exhausted afterward from playing with the other dogs! It was also great that we were able to do a meet-and-greet beforehand. Thank you again, Pamela!

Kate and Andrew were wonderful to work with. I was a bit nervous about leaving my baby with new people for the first time, but they made sure to have a thorough meet and greet and ask plenty of important questions. They were very responsive to me and very comfortable and loving towards Beau. He seemed extremely cared for and I will definitely be coming back to them ☺️

Judy took wonderful care of Hunter and kept me updated throughout his stay. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure he was comfortable the entire time. I really appreciated the communication and the level of care she provided. Hunter came home happy, and I’d absolutely book with Judy again.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Hollywood commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
