“Kieran is one of the kindest and most patient sitters I’ve met. She took incredible care of my dog and helped me understand his behavioral changes when he’s away from me. It wasn’t just dogsitting, it was a learning experience for Louie and me!! Thank you Kieran!!!”

“They took great care of our dog, kept us updated with photos and videos it really gave us peace of mind seeing how happy our dog was, we would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone”

Dogs/Pets are my daily and weekly . I have extra time to offer another pup who may need a safe happy place to stay while their parents are away ! I have a private fenced front yard as well as a private secured fenced backyard. Pups are never left unattended . I have an amazing senior yellow Labrador named Fonzie who is great with all dogs . I work around the clock for any pup that is in my care , That is a priority ! It’s very important to me that each pup feels like it’s their home away from home !

“Absolutely wonderful!! Feel so blessed to have found someone as amazing and caring as Nicole??. I was so worried about finding a new pup sitter I felt safe with after the woman I used for many years decided to move out of state. Nicole responded to my rover inquiry right away, her communication before and during my stay was excellent. Thank you for being so kind and accommodating!! You truly went above and beyond to make sure my girl was happy and taken care of during her stay. Nicole made my little Pom feel right at home w her family on the first day. She updated me all day long with photos of my baby eating, napping and just hanging out. I felt at ease knowing she was receiving so much love and attention. I will absolutely become a return client for future doggy daycare or overnight sitting whenever your available Nicole?Thank you for taking such good care of Carmel.??”

“My pup had a lovely time with Nancy and her pack of 3 small dogs! We did a thorough Meet & Greet, introducing the dogs on a brief walk, seeing her home, and going through my dog’s routine and preferences. On the first day of dog sitting, Nancy sent me regular updates of everyone going on plenty of walks and getting along. I appreciated Nancy’s dedication as a dog lover and the thoughtful questions she asked to make my pup comfortable in her home 💜”

“Mandy is always so great with Nami! She sends updates throughout the day so we never have to worry and she makes sure to spend lots of time cuddling and playing with Nami 🐾”

“Mary is absolutely wonderful. Dogs are her passion, and she immediately bonded with my border collie, Randy. She has a beautiful home and a huge backyard for doggie playtime or just hanging out. Mary’s adorable cocker spaniel Molly is super friendly, and she and Randy became fast friends. I will definitely contact Mary for more dog sitting!”

“Sandi is the best! Orion is very anxious in new places with new people but she got so excited when she saw Sandi again. I’m glad she can have a new home away from home.”

About: Growing up in Chicago I've had dogs/cats my whole entire life. Moving to LA made it unavailable for me to have my own anymore. I can exercise with dogs. I do runyan canyon atleast 3 times a week. I work from home and enjoy getting out every two hours for 30 minutes and having a lil buddy to hang out with during the day while I work. I broke both of my legs last year in a pair of motorcycle accidents so I really have a new appreciation for walking haha. I'd say your dog and I are doing each other favors. Your pup is in good hands with me. I keep it simple and I'll do what you need me to do with your dog.
“Maria is the best pet sitter! She’s so nice, sends great pictures throughout the day, & great communication. Our dog gets so excited and is so happy to see Maria! We’ve used her service 3 times and have never had any issues. 100% recommend”

“I can’t speak highly enough about Chan and the care he had for our pup, Otis. Chan was extremely communicative prior to our first meeting and made us & Otis feel very comfortable. During Otis’ stay, Chan was great about sending us photos and updates and you could tell Otis was having a blast. It was great to see him getting along with Chan’s dog as well & he was wiped by the time I picked him up, which is exactly what we wanted! 10/10 would recommend Chan watching your pup.”

About: Hi! I’m Liz, a TV producer by day and a lifelong animal lover at heart. Before working in television, I spent several years in the pet care industry at a high-end pet supply store that specialized in celebrity dog walking and pet services. During that time, I gained experience handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I also worked part-time as a groomer and had the opportunity to learn dog behavior and training techniques from a highly respected professional trainer. Beyond my professional experience, I’ve also cared for my own senior dog through illness, which taught me the importance of patience, attention to detail, and compassionate care. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. While my career eventually took me into television production, I’ve missed spending time with animals and am excited to get back to doing something I genuinely love. Whether your dog needs a long walk, extra playtime, medication support, or simply a caring companion while you’re away, you can count on me to provide dependable, attentive care. I currently work part-time, which gives me availability after 1:00 PM on weekdays and most weekends. As a freelance TV producer, my schedule can vary depending on the project, but I do my best to keep my calendar updated and communicate availability clearly. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard for supervised outdoor play, potty breaks, and plenty of fresh air. Inside, pets are treated like family and will have a comfortable, calm environment with lots of attention and affection.
About: I’ve spent the last 6 years working closely in animal rescue and fostering dogs, and it’s become one of the most meaningful parts of my life. I also grew up with dogs my whole life, so caring for them has always felt natural to me. I started out as a volunteer and quickly found how deeply connected I feel to dogs of all kinds. Over the years, I’ve fostered dogs with very different personalities and needs, from shy and shut down to energetic and playful. I stay actively involved in animal welfare work and continue to support nonprofit rescue efforts whenever I can. Being around dogs genuinely brings me a sense of calm and happiness. I’m very patient and intuitive with animals, which helps me build trust even with dogs who are nervous or unsure. I’ve learned how important consistency, routine, and gentle care are in helping dogs feel safe and secure. I always take the time to understand each dog’s personality and what makes them comfortable. More than anything, I just really love dogs and feel grateful to care for them in any way I can.
“I felt the environment was very peaceful for jubilee. I could tell when we were together that she was not anxious. Thank you so much! Universal Studios is one of my families’s favorite places. We will be back nice to have a place for Jubilee!”

“Atlas absolutely loved hanging out with Ceara! She was so accommodating with his needs and went above and beyond with making him feel comfortable. I wish I could give more than 5 stars - I absolutely recommend Ceara!”

About: I’ve been training and caring for dogs for over 30 years, starting with my first dog at age 12. Since then, dogs have been a constant part of my life. I’ve owned and cared for German Shepherds, Rottweilers, and Labrador Retrievers, giving me extensive hands-on experience with large breeds, working dogs, and a wide range of personalities and energy levels. Today I share my home with Big, my friendly 120-pound Yellow Labrador Retriever. Big has helped me develop an even deeper understanding of dog behavior, socialization, and creating a calm, structured environment where dogs can feel safe and comfortable. While I am not a certified trainer, I have successfully trained my own dogs in basic obedience, leash manners, recall, crate training, and household routines. I believe consistency, exercise, patience, and clear communication are the foundation of a happy and well-balanced dog. At Big Dog’s House, I provide a boutique home-boarding experience designed around safety, structure, and personalized care. I intentionally keep the number of guest dogs limited so every dog receives individual attention, regular exercise, affection, and supervision. My goal is simple: treat every dog like family and give owners complete peace of mind while they’re away. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers a calm place to relax, they’ll be welcomed into a safe, comfortable home where they can feel like part of the pack. 7:00 AM – Potty break & yard time 7:30 AM – Breakfast 8:00 AM – Neighborhood walk 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Supervised free roam & relaxation 12:00 PM – Potty break & enrichment activities 2:00 PM – Free play, backyard time & swimming (weather permitting) 5:00 PM – Evening pack walk 6:00 PM – Dinner 7:00 PM – Family time, lounging & cuddles 9:00 PM – Final potty break 10:00 PM – Bedtime Dog care is already a natural part of my daily routine. I work from home and have built my schedule around providing structure, exercise, supervision, and companionship for the dogs in my care. A typical day starts with a morning potty break, walk, and breakfast. Throughout the day, dogs enjoy supervised indoor and outdoor time, enrichment activities, rest periods, and plenty of attention. I believe dogs thrive on routine, so I maintain a calm, structured environment that helps them feel comfortable and secure while away from home. In the afternoons, dogs have supervised free play and, weather permitting, access to swimming and water play for those who enjoy it. Around 5 PM, we head out for our evening walk before dinner and wind-down time. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I provide a calm, structured home environment where guest dogs become part of the family—not part of a kennel operation. I intentionally limit the number of dogs I host so each guest receives personalized attention, exercise, affection, and supervision throughout the day. Dogs are carefully introduced, monitored during play, and cared for according to their individual routines and needs. My goal is to create a safe, low-stress environment where dogs can relax, have fun, and feel completely at home while you’re away.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Christina was absolutely amazing! She took our 9-week-old puppy on very short notice and made us feel completely at ease. She kept him safe, cared for him like he was her own, and even gave him some toys to take home, which was such a thoughtful surprise. We really appreciate how kind, reliable, and accommodating she was. We would definitely recommend Christina to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter, and we’ll absolutely be booking with her again.

Megan is a life saver! She took my little monster for a week and a half--at her place, on short notice--and I came back to a happy, tuckered-out pup. Megan was flexible on timing, super communicative, and most importantly, clearly loves her time with dogs. Looking forward to future playdates.

Ceara was absolutely wonderful with us! She took such loving, attentive, and thoughtful care of Anko, playing with her so well and keeping us updated with sweet messages and photos. I could tell Anko completely trusted her and felt so safe and comfortable. Also, she was incredibly flexible with the schedule over the two days to accommodate us, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy our trip even more than planned. Ceara is genuinely kind and gentle, and I highly recommend her. We will definitely be back! ❤️🐾

My two pups, a 15-year-old Australian Shepherd and a 3-year-old husky mix, must have had a blast with Peter and his gentle giant pup. Peter sent tons of fun photos and videos, and I really appreciated how communicative he was. My pups were super happy when they were picked up but also wanted to go back and keep playing. Good vibes all around, and I know my pups have many more happy play days ahead with Peter.

Kieran and her pal Marty seemed to be a pawfect match for our beagle, Sully. Kieran was very warm and welcoming and gave Sully a happy place to hang while we were out for the day with family. Her location was conveniently close by, and Kieran was easy to contact and communicate with during the day. We appreciated the photos of Sully and a special meet up with Marty for my grand daughter. I know our girl Sully enjoyed getting a walk in as well. We will definitely call on Kieran again when we are back in CA. Thank you for making our get away a little less worrisome knowing Sully was safe and comfortable.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Studio City commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
