“My little dog Rosie Roo has such a great experience with Aston and Jay! After a previous boarding my nervous little dog was so excited to see Jay she ran right into the house! She didn’t even look back to worry about me at all. I feel so incredibly grateful for her to have a place to go where she is safe and comfortable and can be cared for in the way she needs. Lots of snuggles, mini walks and laps to jump into. Aston and Jay seem to really enjoy her- and I am so proud to see her fearlessly run to enjoy her daycare day with them. I want Rosie to be here every time I need to leave her. Ashton and Jay are my absolute first choice!”

About: As a lifelong dog owner and devoted animal lover, I understand that your pets are cherished members of your family. My approach to pet care is centered on providing a calm, nurturing, and personalized experience that helps your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Having cared for dogs throughout my life, I am attentive to each pet’s unique personality, routines, and preferences. Whether your companion enjoys long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or extra affection, I tailor my care to meet their individual needs and help maintain the consistency they are accustomed to at home. I take pride in creating a stress-free experience for both pets and their owners through reliable communication, thoughtful attention to detail, and genuine compassion. My goal is to provide the highest level of care so you can enjoy complete peace of mind knowing your beloved companion is in caring and capable hands. I look forward to building a trusted relationship with you and providing your pet with the same level of love, respect, and attention I give my own. Pet care is already a natural part of my daily life. I work from home, which allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day. My own dog and I enjoy at least four walks around the neighborhood every day, providing plenty of exercise, fresh air, and enrichment. In addition to our daily walks, we go hiking several times a week, and I have a secure fenced courtyard where pets can safely relax, explore, and enjoy time outdoors in the sunshine. Because I am home-based, I can easily accommodate feeding schedules, potty breaks, playtime, companionship, and any special routines your pet may have. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and strive to create a calm, loving environment where they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. I care for every pet as if they were my own, with a focus on safety, comfort, routine, and plenty of affection. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, preferences, and daily schedule so they can feel as relaxed and secure as possible while their family is away. In my home, pets receive regular walks, supervised outdoor time in my fenced courtyard, playtime, companionship, and lots of love and attention throughout the day. Because I work from home, I am able to provide a calm presence and ensure pets are not left alone for extended periods. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I strive to maintain their normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, exercise, medication (if needed), and any special instructions. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can have peace of mind knowing their pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. My goal is always to create a positive, stress-free experience where pets feel loved, comfortable, and cared for, whether they are staying with me or I am caring for them in their own home.

About: I’ve been training and caring for dogs for over 30 years, starting with my first dog at age 12. Since then, dogs have been a constant part of my life. I’ve owned and cared for German Shepherds, Rottweilers, and Labrador Retrievers, giving me extensive hands-on experience with large breeds, working dogs, and a wide range of personalities and energy levels. Today I share my home with Big, my friendly 120-pound Yellow Labrador Retriever. Big has helped me develop an even deeper understanding of dog behavior, socialization, and creating a calm, structured environment where dogs can feel safe and comfortable. While I am not a certified trainer, I have successfully trained my own dogs in basic obedience, leash manners, recall, crate training, and household routines. I believe consistency, exercise, patience, and clear communication are the foundation of a happy and well-balanced dog. At Big Dog’s House, I provide a boutique home-boarding experience designed around safety, structure, and personalized care. I intentionally keep the number of guest dogs limited so every dog receives individual attention, regular exercise, affection, and supervision. My goal is simple: treat every dog like family and give owners complete peace of mind while they’re away. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers a calm place to relax, they’ll be welcomed into a safe, comfortable home where they can feel like part of the pack. 7:00 AM – Potty break & yard time 7:30 AM – Breakfast 8:00 AM – Neighborhood walk 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Supervised free roam & relaxation 12:00 PM – Potty break & enrichment activities 2:00 PM – Free play, backyard time & swimming (weather permitting) 5:00 PM – Evening pack walk 6:00 PM – Dinner 7:00 PM – Family time, lounging & cuddles 9:00 PM – Final potty break 10:00 PM – Bedtime Dog care is already a natural part of my daily routine. I work from home and have built my schedule around providing structure, exercise, supervision, and companionship for the dogs in my care. A typical day starts with a morning potty break, walk, and breakfast. Throughout the day, dogs enjoy supervised indoor and outdoor time, enrichment activities, rest periods, and plenty of attention. I believe dogs thrive on routine, so I maintain a calm, structured environment that helps them feel comfortable and secure while away from home. In the afternoons, dogs have supervised free play and, weather permitting, access to swimming and water play for those who enjoy it. Around 5 PM, we head out for our evening walk before dinner and wind-down time. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I provide a calm, structured home environment where guest dogs become part of the family—not part of a kennel operation. I intentionally limit the number of dogs I host so each guest receives personalized attention, exercise, affection, and supervision throughout the day. Dogs are carefully introduced, monitored during play, and cared for according to their individual routines and needs. My goal is to create a safe, low-stress environment where dogs can relax, have fun, and feel completely at home while you’re away.

About: RARE LUXURY ESTATE, RESORT FOR YOUR PUP Every guest is fitted with an AirTag during their stay for added safety and peace of mind. I’ve been caring for dogs for most of my life. I grew up with dogs from infancy, and my first dog was a German Shepherd named Pooch who joined our family when I was still a baby. We grew up together, and he remained my best friend until we were both 14, when he crossed the rainbow bridge. Dogs have been a huge part of my life ever since. At 12 years old, I started my own dog walking business and volunteered with local rescues before eventually founding my own nonprofit, Akira Animal Rescue, which focuses on medical dogs and puppies. Growing up, I also cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments — including a rescued street dog, a Pomeranian mix, and a Lhasa Apso. Having both large and small dogs throughout my life helped me understand different energy levels, personalities, and care needs from an early age. I also have extensive medical experience with dogs through both rescue work and personal experience. My senior dog Akira developed liver disease and seizures later in life, and I helped manage his care and medications until he peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge in 2024. Akira inspired my rescue work and deepened my understanding of anxious, reactive, and medically sensitive dogs. When I met him at 7 years old, he struggled with resource guarding and trust issues, but over time he transformed into a calm, loving dog who slept at our feet every night. In December 2023, we adopted two Siberian Husky littermates who are incredibly social, gentle, and loving with other dogs — especially smaller dogs. I also currently have two sweet foster dogs from my rescue who have been in my care long term. They are the only dogs from my rescue in my home — all others are with other fosters. I now provide full-time premium daycare and boarding from my private, 1 acre, gated home in Beverly Hills Post Office. I have another home in Hollywood Hills where I offer boarding at a lower cost, though dogs are not attended overnight there. I will bring boarding clients to this home during the day sometimes, with approval from the pet-parent. I previously operated exclusively through referrals and word-of-mouth and am now offering services through Rover. I’m extremely hands-on, attentive, and always present with the dogs in my care. I structure playgroups carefully and can separate dogs based on size, temperament, energy level, or owner preference. Don’t be surprised if your dog learns a new command or trick during their stay. What your dog can expect: • Airtag fitted upon arrival and through duration of care •Decompression upon arrival for first 24 hours • Supervised play and structured daily routines • 5,000 sq ft indoor space plus large outdoor areas to relax and socialize • Walks and enrichment tailored to your dog’s energy level and personality Why clients choose me: • Unique private property in the city • Experience with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments • Calm, safe, structured environment • Extensive rescue and medical care experience Every booking helps support my rescue work ❤️ I am fully dedicated to caring for dogs. Pet Care is my job, so you will have a hands on, attentive caregiver for your fur child. Outside of Pet Care, I am a professional marathon runner and do my runs early in the morning or on my treadmill at home. I am a complete homebody and choose to stay home with dogs, or take them out for a hike. Every dog in my care is equipped with an AirTag for enhanced safety and real-time location protection while on property or during outings. I provide a calm, structured environment on a private, gated property with secure outdoor space and comfortable indoor areas for rest and relaxation. Dogs are supervised at all times and thoughtfully grouped based on size, temperament, and energy level. I also offer private or solo care for dogs who prefer a quieter setting.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs most of my life with my family. I have experience with fostering puppies too. Currently I have one fur baby. I work from home full time so I’m flexible with your schedule. I like to go on walks about three times a day and walks usually take 20-30 minutes. I will be around to play and attend your dogs needs. I also have lots of dog beds that I have collected over the years to make dogs feel comfortable.
“Natasha took such great care of my pup and sent a ton of videos/photos during the day. She was very communicative leading up to the stay and throughout the visit. I will definitely be using her again to look after my dog!”

“Victoria took a last minute booking and was able to allow for a late evening pickup too, which I really appreciated. She kept me updated throughout the day and even sent a picture of him sprawled out and living the life on their couch. I’m sure my dog would love hanging out again in the future!”

About: Hello! I am Kelly & I’m a HUGE animal lover. I have a pup of my own, Sandy. She’s a loving & sweet Maltipoo. I’ve had her since she was only 1 month old & she’s turning 4yrs in late September. Ever since I’ve adopted her, she’s turned my life around in the best way possible. She has made me a dog mom & I wouldn’t want it any other way. She’s very well trained & behaved which is something I’m really proud of. She’s made so many other fur friends & they have play dates very often to help socialize & exercise. These fur friends are pups that I also pup sit whenever my neighbors are out of town, have to go into work, or an emergency suddenly comes up. One of my neighbors has 3 dogs in total & my other neighbors only have 1 dog. My neighbor with 3 dogs has 1 senior pup, 1 adult pup, and 1 2yrs old pup. The senior pup does take medication so whenever I pup sit, I ensure her medication is given to her with no problem. My other neighbors with the 1 pup on the other hand, have a very energetic pup so playtime & walks are crucial. I ensure to take him on long walks around our neighborhood & give him lots of playtime with Sandy - which always ends up in nap time. Looking after them truly brings so much joy to my life & I am very thankful for their parents (my neighbors) trust in me to pup sit their fur babies. I hope I can also gain your trust to pup sit your fur baby. I promise you won’t regret it! 🥰🐾 I currently work from home and have a very flexible schedule which is super convenient to fit in lots of dedication & playtime with your fur baby. I have a fenced front yard at my building complex (which is dog friendly) and most of my neighbors have dogs which are friendly and well behaved. Inside my home I have peed pads for any accidents that may occur & lots of space for comfort.

I’ve known Pina for 5 years now. She’s the only Rover sitter I trust. Pina has a beautiful backyard where my dog Roz loves to explore and play with other dogs. I’m always given daily updates with photos. My senior dog, Sid, who passed away a few years ago always loved his time sun bathing in Pina’s backyard. I can’t recommend Pina enough.

Victoria was great! She kindly checked with me ahead of time if it was okay to book another dog that day which was very considerate. She sent lots of cute photos and kept us updated on our dog Rufus throughout the stay at her house. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!

My two pups, a 15-year-old Australian Shepherd and a 3-year-old husky mix, must have had a blast with Peter and his gentle giant pup. Peter sent tons of fun photos and videos, and I really appreciated how communicative he was. My pups were super happy when they were picked up but also wanted to go back and keep playing. Good vibes all around, and I know my pups have many more happy play days ahead with Peter.

Stephen and David were absolute angels to our boy! We got so many pictures and videos and just could tell how comfortable Finn was! He was parkouring all over their place & not once did I feel a sense of judgement or annoyance from his crazy playing 😂 they loved on him and told us how sweet he was (which we always love!!) and are just so grateful for them! Will ABSOLUTELY be booking with them again if they’ll have him :) thank you guys so so much!!!

My skittish dog with separation anxiety had a great day at Jacqueline's place! Jacqueline knew exactly how to make her comfortable and she did not leave her alone. Drop off and pickup times were flexible, which allowed me to spend a full day at Universal. Overall, everything was perfect!!
Santho is very responsive, sent us multiple photos throughout the day of what Rocky was up to, and has the type of calm energy that dogs love. I thought he wasn’t going to want to come back home with me after spending the day with her! He was very happy and relaxed when I picked him up.

Victoria was absolutely amazing and took such wonderful care of Lupo. I had complete peace of mind knowing he was with her. He was genuinely happy to see her when she arrived in the morning, which says everything. She is without a doubt my first choice whenever I need help with my little one .

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Sherman Oaks commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
