“Ori is absolutely an angel. The communication was seamless and she sent me updates and pictures often. My puppy had sooo much fun and he was nice and sleepy when he got back. Five stars aren’t enough for Ori, she deserves a million!”

“Betty had a wonderful stay with Dana! From the moment we met her, it was clear that she and her partner genuinely love and care for all of their furry guests. Betty came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Communication was excellent throughout her stay, and we especially appreciated the frequent updates and absolutely stunning photos Dana sent. It was such a comfort to see Betty having fun and making friends with the other lovely dogs in their care. We will happily book with Dana again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, communicative, and trustworthy dog sitter.”

“We were very lucky to have found Brooke! We needed a last minute sitter that could watch our pup for the entire day with a late-night pickup, and she was happy to accommodate us. She was very communicative throughout the stay, and it was such a relief knowing our dog was in good hands with all the pictures & updates that were sent to us. Brooke is an absolute gem - we will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Sanaz was the sweetest and best sitter. She sent me pictures through out Lily’s stay. My dog usually gets really sad when I go out of town but she was so happy with Sanaz. She was an excellent sitter!”

“Ken was very flexible in terms of drop off time. When I arrived the place was very clean and there was plenty of room to run around. Ken was very nice and the dogs had a great time. Will use again!”

“Nicole & Darren are the best! Our dog has mild separation anxiety and has never wanted to leave my side…. Until now. Nicole & Darren’s is her own Disneyland. Thank you for taking such good care of my girl!”

About: I grew up with dogs in my household since i was 6 years old, as one of them got older they became a diabetic so I learned how to give insulin shots twice a day. I also helped run my aunt's in house pet sitting and walking service growing up back in high school for several years. Some of them needed meds with their food (dogs and cats) so I have experience in that as well. My schedule is very very flexible so please just shoot me a message and we can discuss details! For daily, weekly, monthly, etc. thank you! Checking up on them here and there, giving them tons of love and play time! Making sure they're fed on time, always have water, frequent walks
“Tyla was accommodating with our schedule and kept us updated throughout Willow’s daycare stay with her! Willow seemed to have a great time, and we’d recommend Tyla to other people looking for a dog sitter!”

“My boy Archie loves to see Anastasia and we look forward to our next visit. She helps with crate training and other training as well. Thanks Anastasia!”

“Five star review! My pup had a blast and was treated so well. This is like an oasis for doggos. It was the first full day my 5 month pup has been away from both my partner and I. He whined for but a moment before he was playing with Tanya's calm lab, Shady. He usually doesn't play with bigger dogs but felt comfortable enough to do so. Yay Shady! Honestly great daycare, I can't say enough good things. I received pictures and videos throughout his stay and felt at ease knowing he was getting lots of loving. Thanks, Tanya!”

About: I started as a Rover pet owner for services and now have the freedom to provide those services. I am patient and careful when caring for dogs because I know they are someone’s family and dog’s have the sweetest hearts. When I first moved to LA in 2018, I overcame my fear of dogs and lived with the sweetest pitbull, JoJo. Now, I have two of my own small dogs— they are my world. My schedule is very flexible. I am currently not working and have plenty free time (until my next opportunity begins). I prefer to stay busy so hopefully this will increase productivity. I am protective of my dogs and would ensure your dog’s compatibility with mine before walking them together or sitting in my home. Otherwise, I’m happy to care for your’s solo during walks or drop-in visits. My dogs are **flea-free** and healthy. My yard is very safe and I have a **FUN SPLASH PAD OUTDOORS** for them to play in during hot weather. I imagine many dog parents on this app care for their fur babies as much as I do, and I will be incredibly mindful of your needs / requests.
“2nd time booking with Adrianna, and Kratos was SOOO happy. He recognized her right away and started wagging his tail from just seeing her. He had so much fun playing with another dog. Thank you for your flexibility in scheduling and taking care of our son Adrianna ❤️🥰”

“Ryan did an amazing job taking care of my dog, Casper! When I got home, Casper was so calm and content, which is a testament to the wonderful care he received. I could tell he had the most amazing time. Ryan clearly went above and beyond to keep him happy and engaged. He was super attentive, reliable, and treated Casper like his own. I’m beyond grateful for the peace of mind I had knowing my pup was in such great hands. Highly recommend.”

“So glad I found Brooke! My dog has a big separation anxiety but she came back happy. She sent me photos and let me know how she was doing while I was away. I feel my pup loved her and I’ll def leave my pup again when I need to!”

“This was my first time being away from my puppy. We met Cammy prior to my trip and although my shiba is quite apprehensive about strangers, the meeting went well. This alone was reassuring so I felt confident about leaving Chai in Cammy's care. It wasn't long before my parents noted to me how excited Chai was on the drive to daycare, how she was sleeping well every night, and eating all her food. Not only was the socialization of daycare great, Cammy's energy and attention to Chai helped her feel safe, comfortable, and happy. The messages and photos were something I looked forward to everyday and I'm happy to say I never felt nervous during my trip. I'm happy to continue daycare due to the overwhelmingly positive experience :)”

“Frank was very awesome. He was able to accommodate us taking Yogi as a last minute request and we really really appreciate how happy Yogi is when we pick him up!”

About: I have been around many animals my entire life. I have had dogs, cats, and chickens (including a snake). During this time I maintained, cared for, kept safe, and loved all these pets. I am currently back from the University of Oregon on winter break. I have a lot of free time and are avalible to help on most days and nights with advance notice. While living with a dog on a street I am most mindful on making sure he does not run out onto the street. He is trained to drop outside but I am fine cleaning inside accidents if necessary. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Tarzana
Elise was great! She was able to watch our doggos on short notice, and I really appreciated her patience and flexibility. The dogs came back exhausted! Which I love and it was clear they had a fun, relaxing time. Would definitely recommend her and book again!

We were very lucky to have found Brooke! We needed a last minute sitter that could watch our pup for the entire day with a late-night pickup, and she was happy to accommodate us. She was very communicative throughout the stay, and it was such a relief knowing our dog was in good hands with all the pictures & updates that were sent to us. Brooke is an absolute gem - we will definitely be booking with her again!

Tanya was great with our Lex, she knows dog behavior and can sense any problems which is a bonus because although Lex is a bigger dog he is super playful and also submissive so he wants to play with everyone, but some dogs don't like that and she stops any aggressive behavior b4 there is trouble, which was comforting as there was a dog there for a little bit who wasn't friendly. She kept them separated. After that dog left Lex was a happy and content boy.

Frank took care of my 3 Dogs today, and it was fun for them, and a lifesaver for me! 😊🐾💙💙💙 I received a video and photo’’s while I was hosting my Granddaughter’s 1st BD party and it made me happy to see them enjoying themselves in a beautiful, large backyard. This was my first experience having all three away from me, and I have to recommend Frank and give him an A+! My boys are exhausted, happy, safe and sleeping soundly now. 👍😊🐾

Louella was great with Sonny. This was our puppy’s first time going to day care and we couldn’t be happier that it was with her. She made sure to keep us updated with pictures and videos throughout the day. She is a great communicator and answered any questions we had. You can tell she truly cares for every dog that walks in her home. Sonny will definitely be coming back!

Daniela did an amazing job taking care of our 8 month old puppy, Bowie, on Thanksgiving. She clearly loves dogs and has a lot of experience taking care of them so Bowie was in very good hands. He got to play with the other dogs there, go on a walk and rest - and we are so thankful. We will definitely book Daniela again!

Zoe had a blast at Ramon & Raquel's place! They have a big, lovely, and safe backyard for dogs to run around and play. And it was also a great opportunity/experience for Zoe to socialize with the other dogs who were there. They kept us updated with photos/videos throughout the day. 5 stars!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Tarzana commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
