“Nicole & Darren are the best! Our dog has mild separation anxiety and has never wanted to leave my side…. Until now. Nicole & Darren’s is her own Disneyland. Thank you for taking such good care of my girl!”

“Tyla was accommodating with our schedule and kept us updated throughout Willow’s daycare stay with her! Willow seemed to have a great time, and we’d recommend Tyla to other people looking for a dog sitter!”

“Adrianna made my pup’s first daycare such a joyful experience! He was happy from drop-off to pick-up, and her thoughtful updates and cute photos gave me total peace of mind. I’m so grateful for the love and care she gave him-already booked again! She’s the best”

“Took our 2 dogs for their first time ever in a doggy daycare setting or even being social with other dogs. Ryan and Abby made the whole situation so much less stressful and the updates during the day put me at such ease. Already booked with them for a weekend. 🙂”

About: Hello. I’m Karina, and caring for animals has been a central part of my life for many years. In addition to caring for dogs and cats, I have extensive experience working with horses, including high-performance equine athletes. That background has taught me to be calm, observant, consistent, and attentive to each animal’s individual personality and needs. I understand that every pet is different. Some want an energetic walk, while others simply need a consistent routine, patience, and companionship. My priority is making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for with me. I specialize in reliable weekday lunchtime dog walks and drop-in visits in the Encino area, making me a great fit for busy professionals who want consistent, dependable care. I also offer cat drop-in visits and limited boarding for dogs that are friendly with my own well-socialized dog and cat. You’ll receive updates and photos during every visit so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family! Pet care is something I intentionally build into my weekly routine. I provide consistent weekday lunchtime walks and drop-in visits, making me a great fit for busy professionals who want dependable care while they’re at work. My schedule also allows me to offer weekend boarding and pet care by arrangement. I enjoy having a routine that lets me give each pet my full attention and provide reliable, consistent care. Boarding dogs stay in my home as part of the family, with plenty of attention, exercise, and a consistent routine. I have a secure balcony and easy access to a large grassy area for potty breaks and fresh air. Depending on each dog’s personality and energy level, we can enjoy walks in my quiet condo complex or explore the dog-friendly neighborhood nearby. I only accept dogs that are a good fit for my home and my own friendly, well-socialized dog, so everyone stays safe, relaxed, and happy. My goal is to provide a calm, comfortable environment where your dog feels at home while you’re away. With your permission, I’m also happy to take well-trained dogs on special outings, such as nature trails or to the horse facilities where I spend time, for additional exercise and enrichment when appropriate.
About: I have been taking care of my two dogs for over 10 years. This includes walking, feeding, bathing, and playing with them. Additionally, I have experience caring for other family members' dogs of all sizes while they were away. I am comfortable with various breeds and can provide reliable and versatile pet care. As a college student on summer break, I have ample availability every day of the week. Pet care becomes my top priority, ensuring dedicated attention and quality care for your beloved companions. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe and nurturing environment. In clients' homes, I prioritize their furry friends' well-being, following instructions diligently to ensure a comfortable and secure experience.
About: I grew up with dogs in my household since i was 6 years old, as one of them got older they became a diabetic so I learned how to give insulin shots twice a day. I also helped run my aunt's in house pet sitting and walking service growing up back in high school for several years. Some of them needed meds with their food (dogs and cats) so I have experience in that as well. My schedule is very very flexible so please just shoot me a message and we can discuss details! For daily, weekly, monthly, etc. thank you! Checking up on them here and there, giving them tons of love and play time! Making sure they're fed on time, always have water, frequent walks
“Tanya was absolutely great! I felt completely at ease leaving Otis with her and she sent me multiple pictures and video of Otis being VERY well taken care of. My pup has anxiety being left alone so being able to leave him with Tanya and Shadi gave me the piece of mind I needed.”

“My boy Archie loves to see Anastasia and we look forward to our next visit. She helps with crate training and other training as well. Thanks Anastasia!”

“So glad I found Brooke! My dog has a big separation anxiety but she came back happy. She sent me photos and let me know how she was doing while I was away. I feel my pup loved her and I’ll def leave my pup again when I need to!”

About: My dog Evie loves to play with other dogs! Your dog will be always playing with her in our yard. I work from home and I’m always home. I work from home and will be with your pet at all times. I have a friendly small dog that loves making new friends. One day in advance required. I have a fenced yard and I live by myself so there's no safety issues. There's nothing in my house that would be dangerous for any animal.
“This was our first time leaving our dog with Dana and the first time my mind was at ease. Her house is dog proof from the gorgeous backyard all the way to the front door. She really loves and cares for them. I’m so happy to have found her. Highly recommend her.”

“Phil and Lauren watched Penny for 3 days and she had a great time! They gave her puzzle toys to keep her entertained since it was too hot to play outside. She’s always happy to stay with them!”

“Stanislava took great care of my dog while I was away for a couple hours in the evening. When we arrived, I met her dogs, who were both very mellow and my dog took a liking to them. My dog does not like being away from me, so I was worried about leaving him at first. Stanislava sent plenty of photo updates even though my dog's stay with her was rather short. Seeing the photos put me at ease!”

“Renata did an amazing job taking care of my 16 year old pug, Jasper. I do Rover myself, and have high expectations about pet care. She went above and beyond to learn how to express Jasper’s bladder since he can no longer pee on his own. She sent me lots of pictures, and when I picked him up, I could tell he had a great day by the smile on his face. I will be using her boarding services next for an upcoming week long trip because I know my senior baby is in good hands.”
“Daniela is a superstar dog sitter! I had never done a day care with pick up and drop off and was nervous to do so, but she kept me informed every step of the way and handled it perfectly!!! Seeing the videos of my pup having A BLAST with other doggie friends brought me joy throughout the day. Daniela is my new go to dog sitter after this great experience ❤️❤️❤️”

Pooh Bear had a very emotional day, and Brooke was absolutely wonderful with her. She helped her calm down and feel safe, providing exactly the caring presence Pooh Bear needed. I cannot recommend Brooke highly enough. Thank you, Brooke, for your professionalism and patience.

We were very lucky to have found Brooke! We needed a last minute sitter that could watch our pup for the entire day with a late-night pickup, and she was happy to accommodate us. She was very communicative throughout the stay, and it was such a relief knowing our dog was in good hands with all the pictures & updates that were sent to us. Brooke is an absolute gem - we will definitely be booking with her again!

Tanya was great with our Lex, she knows dog behavior and can sense any problems which is a bonus because although Lex is a bigger dog he is super playful and also submissive so he wants to play with everyone, but some dogs don't like that and she stops any aggressive behavior b4 there is trouble, which was comforting as there was a dog there for a little bit who wasn't friendly. She kept them separated. After that dog left Lex was a happy and content boy.

Frank took care of my 3 Dogs today, and it was fun for them, and a lifesaver for me! 😊🐾💙💙💙 I received a video and photo’’s while I was hosting my Granddaughter’s 1st BD party and it made me happy to see them enjoying themselves in a beautiful, large backyard. This was my first experience having all three away from me, and I have to recommend Frank and give him an A+! My boys are exhausted, happy, safe and sleeping soundly now. 👍😊🐾

Louella was great with Sonny. This was our puppy’s first time going to day care and we couldn’t be happier that it was with her. She made sure to keep us updated with pictures and videos throughout the day. She is a great communicator and answered any questions we had. You can tell she truly cares for every dog that walks in her home. Sonny will definitely be coming back!

Daniela did an amazing job taking care of our 8 month old puppy, Bowie, on Thanksgiving. She clearly loves dogs and has a lot of experience taking care of them so Bowie was in very good hands. He got to play with the other dogs there, go on a walk and rest - and we are so thankful. We will definitely book Daniela again!

Zoe had a blast at Ramon & Raquel's place! They have a big, lovely, and safe backyard for dogs to run around and play. And it was also a great opportunity/experience for Zoe to socialize with the other dogs who were there. They kept us updated with photos/videos throughout the day. 5 stars!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
