“Kiyarash was absolutely great! He took such great care of pepper and kept me updated throughout the stay. I felt completely at ease knowing my pup was in such good hands. He is responsible, caring, and clearly loves animals. When we picked Pepper up home he was very happy! I would definitely book with Kiyarash again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable sitter.”

“I felt confident leaving my 3 furkids, Bella, Tina and Phoebe with Laura for an afternoon dog sitting so they could become familiar with their comfortable home for an upcoming 7-day vacation stay. They will be eager to return soon.”

“Sensing Emma’s love of dogs, Coco connected with Emma straight away. Emma’s calm and capable manner was just what was needed and by the end of the day we were greeted by a calm, happy and well cared for dog. I’d have no hesitation in recommending Emma to others.”

About: I have a lot of experience making friends with dogs and cats. I understand the importance of proper feeding, care and walking. I strictly follow all your recommendations. Your pet is under reliable care with me! I am at home full time, so I can devote enough time to walks and games with my little guest. Especially if you need early walks. My apartment has 2 bedrooms and a large living room. Directly opposite the house there is a great Warner Center park where we can walk in the company of other dogs.

“I will book with her EVERY single time I need my dog to be watched. Attentive and sends me so many pictures. Trust worthy and the only person I want to watch my dog other then me of course.”

“Maria was amazing with Theo. I can tell she really cares for dogs and treats them like they are family. Her dog Andy also played very well with Theo and the experience was overall great! She was very patient with my puppy especially when it comes to his naughty tendencies, which I am super grateful for! I would recommend Maria for anyone who needs a great sitter for their dogs! :) Thank you so much Maria!”

About: With lifelong experience caring for dogs, horses, and cats, I'm an animal lover and horse whisperer. I train my pets, provide energy healing, and enjoy daily walks. Pet care seamlessly integrates into my daily routine, as I work from home and have the flexibility to design my own schedule. As an energy healing practitioner, I prioritize mindfulness and balance, which extends to my pets. I incorporate playtime, walks, and training when needed into my day, ensuring they receive ample exercise and mental stimulation. During breaks from my meditation and yoga sessions, I find joy in spending quality time with my pets, fostering a nurturing environment. Their companionship enhances my work-life balance, and I often use sound healing techniques to create a calming atmosphere for both myself and my furry friends. Caring for pets in my home is a thoughtful process. I have a fenced yard where your dog can play safely alongside my sweet 15 year old boxer, who loves companionship. I welcome only dogs that are friendly with cats, as my 4 year old indoor cat enjoys their company. I feed all dogs outside, right in front of my kitchen, ensuring a clean and pleasant environment. Cats are fed separately in the kitchen, with their food placed on furniture to keep is safe from curious dogs. For hydration, I have a water fountain for the cats and a water dispenser for the dogs, both inside and outside for the dogs. When needed, I can easily crate your dog at night; my boxer is crate trained but prefers to sleep freely now. I require that you bring your dog and cat with their own bed, food, and treats, ensuring they feel comfortable. Additionally, It's essential that all pets have a collar with a tag and a leash for safety. This structured approach helps create a harmonious atmosphere for all furry friends in my care.
“Canmy and sal are so sweet. This was the first daycare for my dog shanti after the mert and greet. Got lots of pix and updates and ahe was very flexible with pick up time as traffic was bad on the way back. Will book the longer stay next time as we have to go away soon. 👍”

“Anastasia was very flexible on short notice, responsive, and provided good updates and photos when she watched our Labrador for the day. She was very attentive to our dog’s demeanor and clearly cared about giving the best possible care. Looking forward to future stays!”

“Stanislava looked after my fur baby for the day, and he had such a great time! She sent me the cutest photos all throughout the day, had great communication, and took great care of my little boy ?. We will definitely be back! ☺️”

“Maria was INCREDIBLY professional and VERY nice. Milo was spoiled with so much attention and care. I cannot recommend Maria enough. Definitely a wonderfully positive experience. Fantastic communication throughout the day, constantly keeping us informed of Milo’s activities. Will definitely be using Maria again!!”
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I've fostered dogs, cared for many of my own, and spent years walking and looking after countless furry friends. Whether it’s a playful pup or a senior in need of extra love, I treat every animal like they’re my own—with patience, care, and plenty of belly rubs. Pet parents can trust that their beloved companions are in safe, loving hands with me! I have a very flexible schedule and which allows me to be very attentive to all my furry friends! I’m home most of the day so I can make sure the pups get plenty of loving! I provide a safe and comfortable environment for the dogs in my care. My fenced-in backyard offers plenty of space for supervised play, and I’m happy to accommodate crate-trained pups if needed. Plus, with plenty of walks and attention, your furry friend will get the exercise and love they deserve!
About: I had 2 wonderful rescue dogs when I was in my 20s. They passed away and then I fostered kittens in my spare time. I don't currently foster but I still love caring for animals. I’m available to come give your dog a walk or feed any of your animals or stay with them for awhile - including overnights if I’m showing as available for housesittijg those days. Have a fish tank? I can give your fish some food too and for a recent client brought their small tortoises inside during the nighttime each night for a 3-night overnight booking, and have fed a bearded dragon mealworms.. :) My 14 year-old son wants to be a veterinarian and has gone to summer camp at America's Teaching Zoo in Moorpark. If you book me and there's any times for when he'd be not in school, I'll check to see if you want him to come along. Animals love him so much and as you can see from my photo gallery, it seems they prefer to cuddle and play with him than me sometimes :D I ask ahead of time and if you prefer that only I visit / stay, that's completely fine and he'd stay at our own house with our cat Mango. My schedule is updated on Rover related to job bookings. I'm available to come do a couple of walks a day on days with availability or do overnight sitting. I absolutely love cats and dogs who keep me feeling young :) My yard is not fenced, so if you need boarding I have the ability to bring dogs out to my yard or take them on walks in my safe neighborhood but they would not be outside alone. I can also go to your home and sit with your pet, go on walks or play. Cleaning up after a pet is expected including messes or litterboxes. I also offer walking service for dogs and nail trimming for cats and dogs.

Absolutely wonderful! Diogee had a great time and her dogs are sweet and well-trained. They know a LOT about dogs and how to care for them. They were communicative, friendly, accommodating and I would HIGHLY recommend them and will use them again as soon as I get the chance!

Booking with Kiyarash and his wife was a very pleasant experience. Their house is straightforward to get to, and it is nice that they have another small dog at home. I also really appreciated that they were able to reliably administer Tino's medication. Highly recommend!

We were very lucky to have found Brooke! We needed a last minute sitter that could watch our pup for the entire day with a late-night pickup, and she was happy to accommodate us. She was very communicative throughout the stay, and it was such a relief knowing our dog was in good hands with all the pictures & updates that were sent to us. Brooke is an absolute gem - we will definitely be booking with her again!

This is my first time using Rover and I am very satisfied. Melissa was a fantastic and reliable sitter for my sick little Romeo. Melissa did everything as I requested and kept my dog comfortable by cuddling, which he loved. 🥰 Melissa picked up my dog and brought back to the hotel with short time change request which I appreciate very much! I highly recommend Melissa and Rover!

Frank took care of my 3 Dogs today, and it was fun for them, and a lifesaver for me! 😊🐾💙💙💙 I received a video and photo’’s while I was hosting my Granddaughter’s 1st BD party and it made me happy to see them enjoying themselves in a beautiful, large backyard. This was my first experience having all three away from me, and I have to recommend Frank and give him an A+! My boys are exhausted, happy, safe and sleeping soundly now. 👍😊🐾

Louella was great with Sonny. This was our puppy’s first time going to day care and we couldn’t be happier that it was with her. She made sure to keep us updated with pictures and videos throughout the day. She is a great communicator and answered any questions we had. You can tell she truly cares for every dog that walks in her home. Sonny will definitely be coming back!

Karly took amazing care of Archie! He felt comfortable with her right from the beginning and got the chance to play and run around in her yard. Karly made sure Archie had his meals, got lots of treats and pets, had his potty breaks and sent updates throughout his stay. Would recommend Karly!

Mona did an amazing job at taking care of my new puppy named Picco. I am also a Rover sitter so my standards are very high. I don’t just leave him with anyone. Mona made me feel at ease while I went to work. She provided me with lot of pictures of him having fun with the other dogs. He is so excited to go back to Doggy Day Care again!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
