“Jiminy started wagging his tail right away. That is the best sign for a dog mom. Marcella sent photo plus her house house is in a very good location for the west Valley.”

“We’ve never felt so good about sending our dog somewhere for the day! Finn gets SO excited when we pull up to Nadia’s house. He is always so happy when he gets home and we know he loves his day playing with all the dogs and Nadia’s daughter. 100% recommend sending your pup to Nadia’s!!”

“We had such a great experience and are so grateful for the care they gave our baby girl. Our dog has separation anxiety, and they were incredibly patient and calming with her from the start. Our pup settled in much quicker than we expected and looked so comfortable and happy! They even took her on walks with the other dogs, which was amazing! We also accidentally forgot to bring her food, and they kindly made sure she was fed and taken care of without any issue. Thank you again! :-)”

About: I’ve been around cats and dogs my entire life and have always loved caring for animals. Over the years, I’ve had my own cats and have experience looking after pets of all ages and personalities. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to feed, play with, keep company, and care for their cats and dogs while they were away. I understand that every pet has its own routine and personality, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I will care for your pets as if they were my own. I have a flexible schedule and can provide reliable, attentive care for your cat throughout the week, including weekends. Whether you need daily visits or care while you’re away, I’m happy to accommodate your schedule. I understand how important consistency is for cats and will make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and quality care. Your cat’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I carefully follow all feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special care requests. I always keep litter boxes clean, provide fresh food and water, and respect your cat’s routine to help them feel relaxed. I’ll also send regular photo and video updates, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your cat is in loving, responsible hands.
“I had such a great experience with Kiya! He was incredibly accommodating, kind, and trustworthy from the start. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone reliable and compassionate to care for their dog!”

About: I am an animal lover who is also a mother so I am well trained in patience, kindness, understanding, serving and guiding! I show respect to all living things and I stand up for anyone who might not have their own voice to. I have a lot of availability as I am fully dedicated to this job! I'm open to on-going jobs or just one time help, anything you need. I have a very safe home in West Hills. When I care for pets I make sure all their needs are met including food, water, play, clean body, clean environment and love!
About: I got my first dog when I was 5 and it was my responsibility to feed, wash, and care for her. I’m an animal lover who currently has two small senior dogs (Maltese and silky terrier) as well as one cat (grey tabby). On top of the animal mom title, I have three little ones of my own. They love animals as much as their mom! My husband has a police officer brother who has trained k9’s his whole life and has tons of experience with obedience and training tactics. Daniel has learned from his brother a lifetime of knowledge and experience with all breeds of dogs after training German shepherds and labs primarily. We won’t train your dog, but we have the ability to teach and handle all kinds of fur babies (big or small). Since I’m a stay at home mom, I can board cats and dogs as needed. Our animals love other pets and are really friendly. Dogs shower weekly and take monthly flea medicine so they are always clean. I have a house with a fenced backyard and room to roam inside. Since we live in Woodland Hills where wild animals are seen every week (skunks, rabbits, raccoons, opossums, coyotes, etc.) we don’t let the animals or kids to be out without an adult. We take extra precautions to be safe and never alone. It’s a family home where pets are part of our family and so will your fur baby. P.S: We also don’t have cages or crates.
“Magenka is an amazing sitter, we’re lucky we found her here on Rover. She’s incredibly caring, attentive, and sweet towards Bilbo. I felt at ease knowing my anxious dog was in such good hands. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for someone who truly loves and cares for pet.”

She put so much time and energy into him!!! He swam, hiked and played!! We ended up using her services on multiple occasions and our pup was always so happy to go back!!! Thank you so much Stacee!! ❤️❤️❤️”

About: With lifelong experience caring for dogs, horses, and cats, I'm an animal lover and horse whisperer. I train my pets, provide energy healing, and enjoy daily walks. Pet care seamlessly integrates into my daily routine, as I work from home and have the flexibility to design my own schedule. As an energy healing practitioner, I prioritize mindfulness and balance, which extends to my pets. I incorporate playtime, walks, and training when needed into my day, ensuring they receive ample exercise and mental stimulation. During breaks from my meditation and yoga sessions, I find joy in spending quality time with my pets, fostering a nurturing environment. Their companionship enhances my work-life balance, and I often use sound healing techniques to create a calming atmosphere for both myself and my furry friends. Caring for pets in my home is a thoughtful process. I have a fenced yard where your dog can play safely alongside my sweet 15 year old boxer, who loves companionship. I welcome only dogs that are friendly with cats, as my 4 year old indoor cat enjoys their company. I feed all dogs outside, right in front of my kitchen, ensuring a clean and pleasant environment. Cats are fed separately in the kitchen, with their food placed on furniture to keep is safe from curious dogs. For hydration, I have a water fountain for the cats and a water dispenser for the dogs, both inside and outside for the dogs. When needed, I can easily crate your dog at night; my boxer is crate trained but prefers to sleep freely now. I require that you bring your dog and cat with their own bed, food, and treats, ensuring they feel comfortable. Additionally, It's essential that all pets have a collar with a tag and a leash for safety. This structured approach helps create a harmonious atmosphere for all furry friends in my care.
“Maria was INCREDIBLY professional and VERY nice. Milo was spoiled with so much attention and care. I cannot recommend Maria enough. Definitely a wonderfully positive experience. Fantastic communication throughout the day, constantly keeping us informed of Milo’s activities. Will definitely be using Maria again!!”

Booking with Kiyarash and his wife was a very pleasant experience. Their house is straightforward to get to, and it is nice that they have another small dog at home. I also really appreciated that they were able to reliably administer Tino's medication. Highly recommend!

Karly took amazing care of Archie! He felt comfortable with her right from the beginning and got the chance to play and run around in her yard. Karly made sure Archie had his meals, got lots of treats and pets, had his potty breaks and sent updates throughout his stay. Would recommend Karly!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
