Your Pet Will Be Part Of Our FamilySTEVENSON RANCH, CA

Our family is one that loves animals. We have rescued over the years and at one point had four dogs and four cats!! We have gotten down to one dog now and think pet sitting would be a great way to have more animals in our life. We have a large home with a yard. Our yard is completely secure and locked at all times. We have one dog that gets along with others but we can keep him separate if you prefer your pet be the only one. We would walk your dog daily and give him or her lots of love. Your dog would spend most of his or her time inside with family unless you prefer they stay outdoors. We have a nice side yard with igloos with access to the garage. Our neighborhood is very safe and considered very pet friendly. We have several parks for the dogs to visit and plenty of walking areas. We have a vet at the bottom of the hill in case there were any emergencies. Special diet and meds not a problem. We love animals in our home and would treat your pet like a member of our family.

Why I love dog sitting

I have had dogs my whole life - beginning with my first, Misty. Dogs and cats have always been a big part of my life. They are family members. My husband had never had a dog when we got married...now he's the biggest softie. We rescue our animals and give them lots of love and attention.

Meet my pets

We have one dog who likes other dogs. However if your dog does not like dogs we can keep them separate

About my yard

We have a back yard with a pool that has a fence around it. We have two side yards with shade and igloos

My experience administering medication

yes, we are very familiar with giving dogs meds

Experienced dog foster and walkerChatsworth, Chatsworth, CA

I am an experienced dog foster and walker/jogger who specializes in doggy weight loss. I have a huge back yard with a 9 foot fence. I have some experience with training, medical, and special needs. Puppies, cats. and senior dogs ok too. I have a soft spot for rescue dogs. I wish all dogs could be spayed/neutered so we can control the over population. I am a homemaker with a flexible schedule and an overall happy person who loves dogs. I am mature, responsible, and reliable with a large van for canine transportation. I enjoy walking around parks and jogging with dogs if they are able. I foster over 50 dogs a year for LA Animal Rescue. I can handle big and small dogs but they must be fixed. I can usually accommodate last minute bookings. I offer early morning drop-offs and late night pick-ups. I am happy to come pick up or drop off your dog if you live near Chatsworth and you are too busy. There are 5 people in my house so your dog is never alone and gets to stay in a home environment and play with kids. I have never lost a dog, my house is a fortress. I supervise playtime in the back yard.

PAWRIFFICVan Nuys, Valley Glen, CA

Hi! I'm Jennifer aka PAWRIFFIC! I love all dogs..big and small. I have a 14 year old standard poodle named Mona Lisa. My husband, 20 year old son, Jake and I live in a house in a great neighborhood in Valley Glen!

My PAWTASTIC days start like this..we wake up around 7am. All dogs are out in the backyard for their first poop/pee of the day:) Then it's time for breakfast. We chill for a little while after breakfast before going out for our first walk around the neighborhood. Nap time is next or time to watch Hulu & Netflix..we all have to agree on a show :) Free time/play time outside in the yard is next on our pawtastic agenda. My place is nice and cool and all dogs are allowed to nap on the couch or the carpeted floor or my communal cozy dog beds. Dinner time is between 5 & 6:00 and another walk shortly after. Our final romp in the yard is around 9ish. Then it's off to bed...and they are allowed to sleep in bed with my hubby and I!

I love organization and the dogs thrive on the structure I set up for them. I am a full time dog sitter and absolutely love what i do!! I will send photos and videos daily to let you see how much fun they are having.

If all this sounds good to you, let's set up a meet and greet!

I look forward to meeting you and your pup soon:)

About my yard

It's fabulous. Lots of space and an amazing covered area where anyone can chill in the shade.

My experience administering medication

Yes. I have not given shots but I am capable if shown how to do it.

Your baby safe & happy with us :-)Van Nuys, CA

I am home with the pups pretty much all day. I am a certified pet grief counselor (APLB/AAVSB). I also run #MissionWellington with our “TreatsForPups” pet philanthropic mission, bringing food and blankets to the homeless pups living out in the streets. I love dogs!!

Your dog will have indoor/outdoor access while fully supervised. My 5000sqf Zen Garden Backyard is fully secure with a 6ft wall. Very dog-friendly house (they can be on the couches if they want to) :)

I lost my two beloved boys to cancer in July '17 and in September '18. Wellington was my super sweet golden doodle. He taught me to love dogs and enjoying pooch dates & long hikes :) Handsome was my brave yellow lab and he taught me to be brave and to be in the moment, and that it's never too late to adopt...

As a pet grief counselor, I work out of my house a few hours a day, I'm home a lot, allowing me to give your fur baby the attention & presence he/she needs. We have lots of playtime in the Zen Garden for some added fun! Our pet heavenly garden is spacious (5000 square feet), bright and has a large safe and enclosed back garden area. Beautiful and comfortable with lots of room to sniff, run around and lounge & even chase a squirrel!

Overnight dog stays include lots of playtime and belly rubs at no extra charge :-) For everyone's safety, as I usually have a couple of other well mannered dogs from other families, I prefer dogs who are crate trained for the night if possible - again, just for everyone’s safety (as I can’t supervise them while I’m

asleep) :)

I’m happy to do a simple meet-n-greet in my home to get an idea of how your dog will do here. They can run & play in my backyard but it is landscaped....so if they have too much energy and they tend to dig holes or shred plants, then my garden would not be the best environment for them.

We think it's fun to socialize, have doggie dates and visitors. Happy and affectionate, I feel that other doodle / golden / lab types will be happiest here, as I prefer happy & mellow dogs. That said, I love them all and I've got enough energy for sweet puppies too. As long your dog is not aggressive and will not chew the furniture (dogbeds are available), or destroy my landscaping, we will get along perfectly. Your dog must be on a flea medication, spayed/neutered, crate-trained and must be housebroken.

A comfortable, healthy and safe environment for them is our Nr. 1 priority, I believe in sustainability, no pesticides in our organic garden, and no chemicals on the wood floors. Also, I'm a non-smoker!! I love to play with them as much as they enjoy playing with one another and we love cuddles. There is attendance here with them 97% of the time. They are super happy here and we understand how important it is to not have to worry about how your baby is doing while you are away.

I'll be sure to text you pictures and daily updates of your dog's vacation through the Rover App =)

I am also happy to brush teeth, administer any daily meds, pills, eye creams/drops, even subcutaneous fluids if/as needed (there’s a $5/day nominal charge for any type of daily meds, it’ll be added to your booking), and respect any routines you let us know of. Having lost 2 dogs to cancer, I am well versed in patiently administering meds as needed. Looking forward to taking care of your fur baby soon!!

Miss Paw!Northridge, Porter Ranch, CA

Hello! It's almost four wonderful years of Dog Vacay this May! We thank all our clients- including our feline, scaly, and feathered friends- for being part of our family.

2019: finally updating this- we started in 2012! :D

Please note we are six people in this household (with my mother and sister being direct help in caring for the dogs): someone is always home! I may sometimes require my family to receive you for pick up or drop off. If I find a chance to run an errand, I will take it as we try not to leave the dogs without any of us three.

If I am out of town, I will always let you know and give you the option of still boarding with my family if you are comfortable with that. Booking through DogVacay includes insurance for any incidents directly related to their stay in our home.

We accept all sizes and breeds- yes, we adore pit bulls! -and we can administer medications. If your dog needs to be kept separate from other dogs, we can accommodate! We have two yards for the dogs, a full-height wooden fence as a division. Please let us know in advance.

Feeding schedules can be followed to your specific times and all dogs are fed separately.

We're lucky enough that majority of dogs you'll see in our home are frequent visitors, so sometimes, we fall into routine with the dogs and I'll sometimes forget to update you! Please feel free to ask for an update; but also remember, I am sometimes running around with them or busy feeding or busy cleaning- do not panic if I don't respond immediately!

We require their own food (to avoid allergies and upset stomachs) and to be current on flea medications. Bringing their toys, beds (common, to have the smell from home) and treats is optional.

To save our Sunny California, we have no grass! We prefer you save any grooming for AFTER their stay here as they can get dirty if they have too much fun outside.

There are water bowls in every room and section if the house- we can't force your dog to drink. If your dog is known to have anxiety expressed in dehydration, consider in-home sitting instead!

We allow the dogs on beds and furniture, please note with us if you do not.

We had a lovely client named Foxy, and her humans started a local nonprofit that feeds homeless pets and their humans! If you'd like to donate any food or treats in their original packages (for safety), let me know!

Please note- the calendar is always up-to-date. Days MAY be marked unavailable to slow down requests, so please feel free to inquire with a general inquiry form.

Rover charges by night, but please- if you're going to pick up past 12pm... it's like you get a whole free day. We charge an extra night starting at 6pm, but would appreciate if you make the change yourself to include that whole day. Thank you. Caring for your pet is what pays our bills.

Thank you for reading!

**James C.'s Maltese-Poodle mix peed ONLY inside the house and had it staying in his fur from the amount. We could only use baby wipes as we cannot be responsible for bathing a unfamiliar dog and risking allergies. We do not accept guest dogs back if their marking or peeing is out of control.**

SMALL DOG OASIS with huge backyard!Van Nuys, Sherman Oaks, CA

NEW PROTOCOLS REGARDING COVID-19: If you met me and my family prior to March 2020, you'd be greeted with a hug and invited into our home and walked through our doggy oasis. Due to the recent outbreak of coronavirus, we've unfortunately had to switch things up for your safety and ours. We are here and still available to you, but from 6ft away lol We've been bunkered down in our home since the first week of March and are taking self-isolation very seriously. This means we can not do any meet and greets at this time. I'm happy to Facetime, talk on the phone and/or chat through the app so that we both feel comfortable with the booking, but a normal tour or face to face chat isn't something I'm offering. Should you book, all pick ups and drop offs will be done at the end of the porch. I'm asking for a 5 minute warning so that I can be ready. Please do not come to my door. Don't be alarmed by my gloves and mask, I promise there's a smile under there. I'm generally very chatty and friendly, but this will have be a very quick hand off, on leash, of your pup to me. If there are any bags, beds or doggy essentials you've brought I ask you to leave it at the end of the porch and once you leave, I'll come out and grab it and wipe it down. This may sound a little nutty and overboard, but I've always taken safety very seriously. Other than that, it'll be business as usual over here. I'll love on and hug your dogs until their hearts are content, they'll run freely around my backyard, sunbathe, play and I'll keep you updated with pictures and videos every step of the way so you know how they're doing. I'm very communicative so feel free to reach out with any questions whatsoever. Thanks for your understanding during this crazy time and cheers that it'll all be over soon.

ABOUT US

My husband and I absolutely LOVE dogs. We've been caring for dogs for years and can't imagine what our home would be like without them. We welcome all breeds, so long as they're nonaggressive and can hang with our very friendly resident pups. To keep the playing field even, we only accept small dogs (15lbs and under). If you happen to have a small dog that's a tad stocky in the midsection lol and over 15lbs, feel free to reach out, but please be honest regarding size. I only watch small dogs and some of them have fears of bigger dogs, so regardless of how submissive your fur baby is, it just won't be in the cards for us to watch yours if he/she is more than 20lbs. I just want to be upfront and honest so neither of us wastes time.

We know that dogs aren't just pets, they're family. Our dogs have an all-access pass to the entire house and more toys than a dog could ever even hope to play with. We have a huge fenced in backyard with two doggy doors so your little one can come and go as he/she pleases. When we aren't playing fetch, they usually find a spot on my lap and get scratches :) I will treat your dog as I treat my own. There are no cages in our house. When your dog stays with us, they'll just become part of the family and be treated as so. They can also sleep wherever they want, which almost always means in our bedroom, under the covers or by the bedside in any of our dog beds. However, we can always accommodate any special rules you have. For example, if you have trained your dog to sleep in a crate for potty reasons, we are happy to accommodate.

We do have a pool, but that area is blocked off by a fence. However, if you're little one likes the pool, I'm more than happy to go for a swim with them in our heated saltwater pool.

Our home and backyard are professionally flea treated every quarter with an organic spray to make sure no fleas and/or bugs start breeding. I wash linens daily. Our dogs also receive flea treatment on the first of the month. Please make sure your dog is flea treated within 20 days of their stay, especially in the summer months. If your dog is flea treated, they will not get fleas.

Dogs should be in good health. We cannot accept any dogs that have vomited or had diarrhea in the last 48 hours.

Rates: Boarding covers a 24hr period. Friday morning to Sunday morning is 2 nights. If you drop off early morning Friday and pick up late night Sunday, you'll be charged for 2 nights plus a daycare. If the daycare exceeds 8 hours, you'll be charged for a full 3 days. Hope that makes sense. I do offer a grace period. <3

We'd love to keep all pick up and drop offs between 8AM-8PM. If you need to pick up or drop off outside those hours, please let us know. An additional charge of $5 will be added per after hour. No pick ups later than 10pm or before 6am.

You can expect pictures and videos until you tell me to stop. :) We can't wait to meet you and your fur-babies!

Follow us on Instagram @LosAngelesDogBoarding

I should note that I do NOT take cats. I've received an influx of cat requests lately and I am very allergic to them. So I'm sorry, but I can not take them.

OLI'S BED, BISCUITS AND CUDDLESCanoga Park, Canoga Park, CA

Thanks so much for taking the time to read about me. My name is Oli, mom to two lovely teenage children, one just graduating from High School. My husband and I work from home and live in a house in Canoga Park, conveniently located by the Westfield Mall.

While I’m new to Rover, I have owned dogs my entire life (40 plus years) and have over 8 years of experience sitting various breeds and pups of all ages, sizes, and with dietary and health needs. I have helped with rescues and also have five years experience assisting professional pup sitters with walks, daycare and boarding.

Needless to say - I’m a HUGE dog lover and so, to pursue my passion, I’ve created “Oli’s Bed, Biscuits and Cuddles" -- your pups home away from home. In summer we promise to keep your pet cool and walk when the weather is appropriate so their delicate little paws won’t be burned and in the winter we promise extra blankets so they are comfy and cozy.

For daycare and boarding, we accept non -aggressive dogs up to date on all their shots and worming. For walks, drop-ins and house stays, we are happy to look after any size breed but do let us know if your dog has had any history of aggression. We can also care for cats at your home.

Below are our general time frames for our services:

Doggie Boarding - 24 hour period (long stays include a free bath)

Doggie Daycare - 8 to 9 hour period

Walks - 30 min to 1 hour

Pup Visits - 30 minutes

Home Stays - customized to your needs

Hello, I'm Linda! I am a retired homebody who spends a lot of her time in the backyard, either gardening or entertaining my 3 year-old Miniature Pinscher mix. We are both very easygoing, and we get along with every dog who enters our home. Since I'm always home, that also means that I'll be able to provide 24/7 supervision! Your dog will be spoiled constantly with my love and attention.

I live in a very spacious home with pet-proof travertine floors. There's also a huge yard that's completely fenced and private. There will definitely be a squirrel sighting here and there. I also have a swimming pool if your dog wants to take a nice, cool dip during a warm day! This will be an endlessly happy place for your pup, and I am excited to be a part of it.

Because I grew up on a farm, I have been surrounded by animals all of my life. Dogs take a up a huge part of my heart, and I hope you'll allow me to show your furry friend the best Vacay ever here in Granada Hills.

We have one dog (a chihuahua mix) who would love to have company to play in his backyard.

I have worked for two vets in the past, and enjoy all dogs. The best part of my day is taking my dog for a daily walk in our quiet neighborhood.

There is always someone home, to make sure your pet is never bored or lonely. I have a very flexible work schedule and have two grown children and a husband who are also dog lovers.

About this sitter:

Why I love dog sitting

I have always loved dogs and my family has always had one in the home. My husband also grew up with dogs. When I was starting college I wanted to become a vet and worked for two vets to gain experience. My family has raised one guide dog for the blind--completing all the basic obedience training.

Meet my pets

We have a three bedroom home in Chatsworth where we have lived for 28 years. We have a nice shady backyard that is completely fenced.

About my yard

Our backyard is fenced and is on an average size lot. We have two gliders (comfortable swings), so that we do hang out in our backyard with the dogs a good bit.

My experience administering medication

Yes, I am very comfortable giving medications.
