About: I have fostered cats since 2020 and have volunteered at my local animal shelters since 2018. I am familiar working with cats and kittens of all ages and needs (bottle feeding - seniors) and can confidently give medicine and clean pets with extra needs. I have worked with small dogs throughout this time (helping stimulate/play and clean them up) and have taken care of young puppies <1 year overnight with around the clock care. I am completely free on weekends from 4am-10pm and am flexible with my hours especially if overnight care is needed. I work full time on weekdays and have a flexible schedule which allows me to work remotely from 7am-4pm. I am free for visits and caregiving 4am-6am and 4pm-10pm on weekdays. I am comfortable and willing to respect your animal’s boundaries where needed, and I will do whatever I can to ensure your pet is safe. I understand some pets are shy and some are more social, and am comfortable working with all types of personalities to cater to their needs as necessary. I can supervise eating/bathroom use as necessary and provide extra stimulation and play time whenever needed.
“Our pup had the best time! We could have not asked for a better sitter for Cody. Would highly recommend her, as she has a lot of experience with pups and German Shepherds in particular ... and it shows!!! ? Also, she was on time, left us great notes on the App including pictures and followed all instructions perfectly.”

“Ariana is absolutely wonderful! She took such amazing care of my cat, Juju. I could tell from her updates that she wasn't just checking off a list, she truly bonded with her. She even stayed longer than planned because Juju fell asleep on her lap and she didn't want to wake her! She also sent several photos and notes, and communication with her was easy, so truly it was relief knowing my pet is with someone so patient and caring. Highly recommend! :)”

“Megan was great, she sent photos of Chilito every time she came to visit him. If I had any questions she was always very responsive. I would love to have her back next time I need a sitter.”

“Caira was wonderful! She was very sweet and I felt comfortable leaving my cat in her care. She even took the time to meet my cat beforehand, which I greatly appreciated. It gave me peace of mind knowing my cat was well looked after. I would happily book with her again.”

About: I believe all the sitters from here are good. I only can speak for myself,I’m a highly sensitive person , I’ve been taking care of animals since my childhood, I was a part of a rescue team in Russia and trying to do the same over here ,I try to respect any kind of being no matter how small or big it is. I have 3-paw ginger boy Akio and his sister Tora . If you need help with your furry baby ,reach me out ✨🐾 As a pet owner I know how hard it is to find and trust someone you don’t even know or met before. What’s helping is to check and understand the personality of caregiver and look closer to her/his moral values and beliefs in a daily life (even before they create an account on this platform) ✨🐾🌸 I can be available most days during the week ,except some time frames when I have my trainings. Most of the time I prefer to spend with animals, since I have an ability to connect with them and understand their feelings and needs. About: I love caring for and protecting all animals; dogs, cats, other mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and/or insects. Essentially if it eats, breaths and needs maintenance, I am able to take care of it. I've had several dogs in my life, from small to large sized dogs. I have also owned a couple exotic pets that required unique needs and diets. I have no issue with cleanup or waste removal that may be needed while caring for any extended family member. Not having any other obligations other than "Rover" (besides my GF) I am able to dedicate my full attention on the services I am providing to care for the loved ones I am entrusted to. I have experience and I am able to train, if requested.
“Kimberly is amazing as always!! Thank you for going above and beyond and for constantly keeping in touch too. Your care is very appreciated by both myself and my fur baby😊”

“I can’t say enough great things about Kai!!! This is my first experience using Rover as I did not want to put my boys in a kennel while I was away for a few days. Since my pups are a bit senior I wanted them to be in the comfort of their own home. Kai saw my boys twice a day, was consistent and timely and great at communicating with me how everything was going every time he saw them. I was a little nervous initially with allowing someone in my home while I was out of town, but Kai is completely trustworthy and made sure to lock everything up in between his visits. I HIGHLY recommend Kai for taking care of your pet(s) when you have to be away from them :)”

About: Ive taken care of many animals for about 8 years now, and I specialize in dog and cat care. One of my previous became very ill due to genetic issues, and I now have experiencing caring for sick and elderly cats, as well as kittens as young as 3 weeks old. I worked at Seal Beach Animal Care center for a few years now as well providing daily care for shelter animals, including feeding, administering medications, and delivering enrichment activities. Maintained a clean and sanitary shelter environment by cleaning animal areas, litter boxes, and common spaces, as well as performing laundry and general housekeeping duties. Assisted prospective adopters by facilitating meet-and-greet sessions. As of now I'm just keeping my own house tidy while my husband goes to school and have completely open availability in order to take the best care I can of your pet. :) I am experienced in providing medication, and keeping my house and other's who I've pet-sitted for quite clean. I keep a constant watch over them, and keep an orderly schedule on feeding, walking, and playtime.
“Cynthia was wonderful! She was friendly, professional, and very communicative throughout my holiday trip. I really appreciated the regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. She even went above and beyond by bringing my packages inside for safekeeping. I’d happily book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter.”

About: USE MY CODE MARISF01875 FOR $20 OFF BOOKING From growing up with pets to working in a vet hospital, animals have always been at the center of my world. While my job is mostly administrative, I’m lucky to connect with every fur baby that walks through our doors— and their humans too! I’ve picked up a lot of knowledge just by being in this environment, from understanding pet behavior to recognizing when something might need a professional’s attention. What sets me apart? I have direct access to veterinary care, and I’m well-versed in how to handle unexpected situations calmly and with care. Your pet will be treated like my own—whether that means a cozy walk, playtime, or simply being a comforting presence while you're away. I bring love, attention, and a little vet-clinic peace of mind to every visit. I work full-time at a veterinary hospital, which keeps me close to pets (and pet parents!) every day. I’m currently looking for sitting and drop-in opportunities near my workplace so I can stay close to both the job and your pet—making it easy for me to check in regularly and be nearby in case of anything urgent. On weekends, I’m fully available for more dedicated, around-the-clock care, whether that’s overnight stays, extended visits, or just extra snuggles and walks. I only offer pet care in the comfort of your pet’s home, where they feel safest and most relaxed. I follow your care instructions closely—whether that’s feeding, walks, medication, or playtime—while keeping your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. My goal is to make every visit feel calm, loving, and familiar, so your pet feels comfortable even while you’re away.

This was our second time with Anica checking on our three kitties while we were out of town, and she was great just like the first time. She is communicative, follows instructions, and genuinely cares for our cats. I’m so glad to have found someone local that I’ve been able to rebook and anticipate we’ll continue to request Anica for future times we’re away!

Aubrey is amazing. She took such wonderful care of my senior kitty and took the stress away from being away from her. Sending pics and videos, making sure to address my particular concerns over kitty’s comfort. She also made sure to tidy up any mess my kitty made during the week which was a big help. Thank you for taking such great care of everything during the holiday, Aubrey!!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Hills. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
