About: I've been a dog lover forever and got my first family dog when I was 12. I have since become his primary owner. Since 15, I've assisted my older brother with dog sitting through Rover, and by 17, I started caring for dogs on my own for family and friends. Whether watching them at their home or bringing them to mine, I provide reliable, loving care for your furry companions. I work part time from home as a writing tutor at CSUN, where I am also a full time student on campus Tuesday to Thursday. In my home, your pets will enjoy a safe, secure environment with a fenced back yard featuring sturdy gates and tall walls, ensuring they can roam freely and safely. The front yard is also fully enclosed with an electric gate for added security. If your dog is accustomed to crate training, I can accommodate that as long as a crate is provided. In addition, I also have a pool on the property. I ensure the pool area is safely monitored to prevent any accidents, and only dogs that are comfortable around water are allowed freely around it. I prioritize comfort, safety, and fun for every pet in my care!
“Zoey did an amazing job taking care of my cat Waffles. Kept me up to date with any issues and took cute photos. Highly recommend Zoey and will be using them again in the future!”

About: I have had animals all my life even animals besides dogs and cats. I love animals and I love taking care of them. I am really good with animals and getting them to feel comfortable. I know how to feed them, walk them, etc. I am usually available from Monday-Thursday from 3pm+ and on weekends (including Fridays) i’m available at any time that I am needed just let me know! At your home, I will make sure to pay attention to the rules you have for me and your fur baby. I can walk them a certain way, crate them when needed, feed them when needed. Anything you want, I can provide! I just want to be able to give you a sense of security knowing your dog/cat is safe!
“Annabella took great care of my cat - made sure she was fed and got her insulin, sent lots of pictures, and spent lots of time playing and letting. Annabella was also super communicative - would love to hire her again!”

About: My first pet was a pigeon that I basically raised since they was a little featherless peep. I also thought them to fly! I was 12 years old. Since then, I have worked as a professional pet sitter in Long Beach, CA with a small company (shout out Happy Tails to You) and for Wag! (another app). I have experience working with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments. I try to adjust to each pet's personalities. I also adjust to each pet parent's preference and do not mind reading and following your step-by-step instruction for taking care of your pet. I actually prefer a manual as there no one who knows your pet more than you! When I am not dog sitting, I am working with adults and kids with developmental disabilities as a behavior consultant. AND when I am not working, I am hanging out my two cats and dog! I am available early mornings (before 9am), afternoons (after 2pm), evenings, and weekends. I work a part-time job that is flexible with my schedule (I work on-site and remotely). When I am in your home, whatever instructions you provide, I will follow. The more details the better, as no one knows your pets more than you. I also try to work with your pet's personality and needs. I don't mind looking after pets with special needs or need extra care.
“I asked Kimberly to do everyday check in to Diane this week. She has been very patient with Diane these past few days cause she still barks at her when she arrives but stops once they go outside. She always update me how Diane was doing each day. She's always on time too and very nice.”

I’m very reliable for sitting, potty breaks, medication, etc. I’ve pet sat for family and friends growing up. Currently not working, so I have plenty of time to spend with your animals. Very flexible schedule. Looking to make take care of your beloved pets while you’re out of town! I always make sure that I respect my clients homes and animals as if they were my own. I follow all given care instructions and any other directions that a client may give.
“Samantha is doing such a great job taking care of my cat Tyler while I’m out of town. I love the thought and attention she puts into her reviews and photos. You can tell she gets along with pets naturally. thanks Sam!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since I was young, and over the past 10 years I’ve pet sat, house sat, and provided childcare for more than 10 different families. I’m experienced with feeding, walks, playtime, litter boxes, administering basic routines, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, and I take the time to earn their trust while keeping owners updated with photos and messages for peace of mind. I have a flexible schedule and am available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits throughout the week. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, playtime, feeding, a walk, or overnight care, I’m happy to work with your routine. I understand how important consistency is for pets and will do my best to accommodate their normal schedule. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I treat every home with the same care and respect I would my own, following your instructions closely and keeping your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. I’ll provide regular photo and text updates, make sure doors and gates are secure, keep food and water fresh, clean litter boxes or pick up after walks, and give your pet plenty of attention, affection, and companionship while you’re away.
About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life. At the age of 16 I got my very own dog with parental permission. I disciplined him, trained him, and raised him to be a reliable and comforting companion. I still do training with him at least 1-2 times a week. I care for the two other family dogs, one being older and the other being the middle child. The oldest—our old man—has difficulty walking sometimes and eating. I’ve learned to prep and adjust his meals to make it easier for him. I love training and try to be as consistent as possible. I am not a certified trainer—guilty of being self taught—however I know how to teach and enforce basic commands like sit, stay, etc. I love dogs, and cats too, and love every moment I get to spend with them. I’m currently a college sophomore, so my workload is very light and I’ll have plenty of time to hangout with your pets! I am available almost every weekday unless confirmed otherwise. Weekends I am very flexible, unless a prior arrangement has been spoken about before, and I am available from 9am to 6pm. I treat pets like my own children. I believe they need attention, love, and warmth. I love my dog like a son and my two other family dogs like my children as well. I feed all three of them, I bathe all three of them, I pick up messes whether it is an upset stomach to torn up toys or furniture, I take the youngest on walks as he’s the only one properly leash trained, and I give them as many cuddles as they ask for.

About: I have cared for many dogs and cats throughout the years, mostly for family and friends. I also have raised my own pets, with a very reactive pitbull that I trained myself. I'm good with reactive pets, shy pets, and pets with any special care needs. I'm currently taking care of pet and human babies exclusively so my schedule is very flexible. I can accommodate any care needs your pet may have. I will engage in plenty of play for high energy pets, including stimulating games for their minds. I also know great spots to take dogs exploring outdoors!

About: I love dogs and cats all my heart! I grew up with two dogs, but unfortunately had to give them away as I moved. While I don’t currently have any pets due to my apartment not allowing them, I understand their needs and have always been a quick learner that adapts to any situation. I frequently pet sit for friends and absolutely love being around them. I will make all of the time in the world to hang out with your pets! I know how important it is for them to feel loved and get the attention that they deserve. I will make sure that your pets are my number one priority. It’s important to me that they are given all of the attention in the world, and that they feel very loved and cared for.

“Cristiana is a life saver! My initial sitter was unable to drop in today while I am out of town right now. I contacted Cristiana at 4:45am in a panick and she was able to take care of my dogs by 8am. Her communication was great, super friendly and very eager to help me out. After only one call I was more than comfortable with Cristiana taking care of my babies. She fed them, let me outside and played with them. She even called to give me a update on them while she was still there. I am more than grateful that I found her and will definitely reach out to her in the future.”

“Leaving your beloved pet behind while traveling, especially for an extended period, is never easy. However, Liana made this experience incredibly smooth and worry-free for me. Entrusting my dog to her care while I had to leave the country for two months was one of the best decisions I've made. Liana's dedication to my dog's well-being was evident from the start. She not only ensured that all of his needs were met but also went above and beyond to make sure he felt loved and secure in my absence. Her attention to detail, from maintaining his daily routine to providing regular updates and photos, reassured me that my dog was in the best hands. What stood out most was Liana's genuine love for animals. My dog, who can be quite selective in his affections, absolutely adored her. This bond they formed was a testament to her kind and caring nature.I returned home to find my dog happy, healthy, and well-adjusted, which speaks volumes of Liana's exceptional care. For anyone in need of a reliable, compassionate, and skilled dog sitter, I cannot recommend Liana highly enough. She not only ensured my peace of mind during my travels but also provided my dog with a loving companion in my absence.”

Sanaz was great! She communicated regarding her arrival, departure, and everything in between. Sanaz was very gentle and respectful of my fur baby’s space but still engaged her during the drop in visits. I would recommend Sanaz to anyone looking for a pet sitter!!!
Emily is fantastic! She completed her drop ins at the time scheduled and sent lots of pictures. You could tell my cats were super happy with having her there. Even my super scaredy-cat warmed up to her while I was away my schedule is just all over the place and she was so accommodating to last-minute changes as well which I really appreciate.

This was my first time using Rover and she made it the best experience possible she went above and beyond and communication she was on time she sent pictures. She had cute commentary and honestly, our animals loved her. I can't wait for her to watch them again as she cared so much for my animals and I can't thank her enough for giving us the peace of mind while we were out of town

Jackie did an absolutely wonderful job caring for our cat and dog while we were away, truly the best pet sitter we’ve had in years. She is incredibly kind, attentive, and full of positive energy. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our pets were in such loving and capable hands. We came home to two very happy, well-cared-for animals! We couldn’t be more pleased and will absolutely be asking her to pet sit for us again. Highly recommend!

Erika is an absolutely wonderful cat sitter. She is so patient and has a very calming presence. My cat usually ignores strangers and refuses to play with them, but took to her right away and loved playing with her! She is deeply caring and I felt so comfortable leaving my cat in her hands. Highly recommend!

I love booking with Eileen! She is extremely communicative and ensures that she follows my notes. Eileen also went above and beyond with my cat by trying different ways to get her to eat more. She also updated me daily about my cat’s mood and health as well. Additionally, Eileen sent lots of pictures and videos each visit, which I greatly appreciated. The videos (with lots of purring) showed me just how much my fur baby loves her. Thank you again Eileen!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
