“Lisa has been amazing! My husband and I got a puppy and so this is all very new to us and using rover. She was helpful with setting up the appointments and came to meet me and our puppy first which was very reassuring. She has been on time for every appointment and our puppy loves her. She has even been helping with teaching him tricks. We are very happy we met Lisa and have already booked a few more times.”

About: I’ve owned dogs, cats, and other animals my entire life and have extensive experience caring for pets of all ages. I’m comfortable with puppies and kittens, basic training, and understanding pet behavior. I provide attentive, patient care and aim to make pets feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m a recent medical school graduate with a flexible schedule, allowing me to provide attentive care, frequent walks, and plenty of supervision throughout the day. I live in a large home with plenty of space and a fenced backyard for safe play. I provide a calm, supervised environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure.
About: I have a lifelong love for animals and many years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Growing up in a family with veterinary professionals in it, I absorbed a wealth of practical knowledge. I have a strong, understanding of pet health, safety, and hazard prevention. While I’m not a vet myself, I am fully comfortable administering medications, and managing specific care routines. I pride myself on being attentive, calm, playful, and reliable. Whether your pet is a high-energy pup with zoomies or a senior cat needing a gentle touch, they will be in safe, knowledgeable hands. I am currently working from home with an incredibly open and flexible schedule, your pet will have my undivided attention. My weeks are completely free, making me a perfect fit for pets who thrive on constant companionship, need frequent potty breaks, or require strict, time-sensitive medication schedules. Because I share a vehicle with my partner, my schedule is highly optimized for House Sitting. If you are looking for a sitter who doesn't just 'check in,' but actually hangs out, plays, and keeps your pet company all day long, I’m your guy!" For me, keeping pets safe and happy comes down to two things: sticking to their routines and treating them like my own. I have a lot of experience managing different personalities, medical needs, and schedules, so I know how important consistency is for a pet's peace of mind (and yours!). I have three strictly indoor cats of my own, so I’m used to managing a multi-pet household. I keep up with multiple litter boxes daily, make sure they always have fresh water and dry food, feed them wet food twice a day, and at minimum play with them an hour a day. I regularly look after an older dog who gets two hours of walks a day to keep him active. I make sure he’s fed at 8:00 PM on the dot, and because he loves his crate, I safely tuck him in there whenever I have to step out for a bit so he feels secure. I’m completely comfortable with specialized medical care. One of my regular clients has three cats, and one requires time-sensitive medications via an inhaler and oral syringe. I also have experience with modern pet tech, like automatic litter boxes, and I follow the owner's schedule for cleaning them out and refreshing the automatic water fountain.
About: I grew up fostering dogs, have experience bottle feeding, and have been passionate about pets for my whole life. I love any dog, no matter what breed, size, or temperament. I’m currently working part-time, so I will have a good amount of flexibility and availability to help you with your pet needs. I will prioritize your pets! I will stick to the rules and boundaries you set in place. Overall, I will be very careful and mindful when working for you. Respect is my biggest priority.
About: I have experience with both dogs and cats. I have cared for sick pets and can administer medications. I have experience with enforcing training habits as well. I am currently on break, so I am able to play and sit your pets! I am available anytime during the week or weekends as well. I have an enclosed house with brick walls as a barrier from streets. I can put dogs/cats in designated areas such as crates, with no trouble. Let me know what you need!

About: I’m a dependable and attentive pet caregiver who understands how important it is to have someone trustworthy caring for your pets and home. I’m comfortable feeding pets, refreshing water, giving them attention and playtime, cleaning up after them, and following each owner’s instructions carefully. I will provide updates and photos during every visit so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I work full-time during the week, so I’m generally available for drop-in visits during the morning, evenings and on weekends. I keep my Rover calendar updated and only accept bookings that I can reliably complete. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal feeding, playtime, and care routine so they feel comfortable while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. During each visit, I will carefully follow your instructions, make sure doors and gates are securely closed, refresh food and water, clean up after your pet, and provide attention based on their personality and needs. I will also send photos and updates so you know how your pet is doing. I will treat your home with care and respect at all times.

“Anna checked in on my cats while I was out of town for about a week and I felt completely at ease having spoken with her and then again after meeting with her and seeing how my cats took to her right away. I loved getting updates and photos every time she stopped in, it definitely made leaving them a little easier!!”

“Hector is amazing, he took care of our dog, provided regular updates, and asked great question both ahead of time and during the visit to ensure everything was just as we hoped for. Appreciate him so much. He even noticed it was trash day and took our bins out for us after asking if that was okay. Super awesome!”

“Love having Claire as my pet sitter! Great at communicating and sends loads of photos and updates! She doesn't hesitate to ask any questions for further clarification so that your pet gets the best care and goes above and beyond to be of service to your pet. Definitely someone that understands how much pets are a part of the family. Can't wait to book again! I feel like I can trust Claire with all things Emmy!”
About: I’ve pet sat animals since I was 11, taking care of friends and family. I have the most experience in smaller to medium dogs, but I’ve taken brief care of a few larger dogs before. I’ve looked after a couple puppies and I can handle them, but don’t have tons of experience if that’s a need for you. I’m in the Animal Care and Training Program at Moorpark College so I am fairly adept at handling animal behavior. I am also first aid certified in the case of emergencies. I am currently on summer break and have a very flexible schedule, able to fit most client’s needs. I can drop by any time and can give your pets the attention and care they need. Once I start my fall semester my schedule will be updated and may have less flexibility. I will spend time and watch over them wherever their preferred environment is, whether it be inside or outside, I have no trouble sitting outside with your pets who love to sniff around. They can be walked as often as suggested and will be given ample potty breaks if pet sat inside.
“It was lovely to meet Janelle. She was right on time for our meet and greet, stayed long enough to get all important information, asked good questions and was gentle and kind with my senior dog. I am sorry we were not able to work together this time but I do think Janelle would be a good sitter for someone else.”
“If I could leave Breanna 10 million stars I would. She went above and beyond with caring for the dogs. She was helpful and kind, and she gave me incredible peace of mind that I was leaving them in good hands.”
“Samantha is amazing! She was very patient and caring with my cat in gaining his trust. She sent prompt updates and photos on how he was doing along with updates on what his temperament was like each day. I would definitely request her services again when I am out of town.”

“Lisa was reliable, caring, and clearly has a natural connection with animals. She provided regular updates, photos, and took great care to follow all instructions.”

“We are so grateful we are working with someone who we know will take good care of our babies. We love getting the pictures she sends, she's thoughtful and caring. I couldn't recommend her services enough.”

I keep routines consistent and send regular updates, photos, and videos so you always know how your dog is doing. this is a great fit for dogs who enjoy a calm, clean and secure home while you're away. I always had dogs in my family and I was taking care of them. Also, I took care of our family’s and friend’s dogs. I like to interact, to play with them, that they won’t feel alone. Fortunately, I am home always to give potty breaks, provide treats, and get in some cuddle and playtime. I always had dogs.. Three years ago, I had three dogs. Two of them passed away. Third one, Chihuahua, who passed away last year. I missed my dogs. It’s very soon and difficult for me to get another dog, but I will be happy to have guest pets in our house. I take them out for walks around a beautiful quiet neighborhood. Lots of birds, trees, squirrels, and all the fun stuff dogs enjoy.
About: I’ve been around dogs since I could walk, and I know that every pup has their own unique personality and pace. I’ve had my own dog, Paloma, for five years now, so I’m well-versed in the routine and the responsibility. I’ve got a flexible schedule and a very relaxed approach—I’m just here to make sure your dog has a great, stress-free time while you’re busy. Lexy is one of the best pet sitters out there! A trip for me out of the country over 4th of July and no worries about my 2 cats hearing fireworks and getting scared. Lexy took good care of them since when I got home they were lounging around looking pretty content! Lots of love and treats and professional care. I highly recommend Lexy!! Joanne

Emily is fantastic! She completed her drop ins at the time scheduled and sent lots of pictures. You could tell my cats were super happy with having her there. Even my super scaredy-cat warmed up to her while I was away my schedule is just all over the place and she was so accommodating to last-minute changes as well which I really appreciate.

Alyssa was great with my elderly (16) cat. I felt guilty leaving him because of his health issues but I felt like he was in capable hands & really appreciated the communication & pictures. She has a lot of experience & compassion, which helped put my mind at ease.

Andrea took great care of our two kitties while we were away; we’d definitely book with her again! She’s a great communicator and is also very punctual. She has a calm and grounded energy and our cats came out to greet her right away at the first meet and greet. Thank you, Andrea!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
