Janelle did great with Sherman on his walk. There was some trouble with the front door entry, but her communication was fast ,so we were able to resolve that situation quickly. I would hire her again for future services!

About: I have cared for dogs and cats since I was 10 years old. I was taught that the animals eat first because they can’t speak. I enjoy spending time with animals. They are great company I believe petting an animal can lower your blood pressure. Your pets need extra affection while you’re gone. I’m there for that. I am a retired mom of self-sufficient teenagers. My flexible schedule allows me to do overnights and weekends and multi night care. I look forward to these jobs. I’m experienced with crating. I love some dog walking exercise. I also really enjoy spending time in a backyard as long as it’s fenced in and secure.

About: What sets me apart is that caring for dogs isn't a side job—it's my full-time profession. As a professional dog trainer, I bring a deeper understanding of canine behavior, communication, and safety than the average sitter. Because I work from home, your dog receives consistent supervision, structure, and personalized attention throughout the day. My goal isn't just to provide a place for your dog to stay—it's to give them a safe, enriching experience where they feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely at home. Hi! I'm Carter, a full-time professional dog trainer with over four years of experience in dog training, boarding, and behavior. Working with dogs isn't a side job—it's my career and my passion. Because I train dogs full-time from my home, I'm able to seamlessly integrate every dog into my daily routine. Your dog won't spend hours alone waiting for me to get home from work. Instead, they'll receive consistent supervision, companionship, exercise, and individualized attention throughout the day. My home features a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely run, play, and explore under close supervision. At night, dogs sleep in my room with me, helping them feel comfortable, secure, and part of the family. As a professional trainer, I understand canine body language and behavior, allowing me to safely care for dogs with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and needs. Whether your dog is outgoing, shy, or requires extra patience, I'll tailor my care to help them feel safe and at home. My goal is to provide a structured, loving environment where your dog can enjoy their stay while giving you complete peace of mind. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pup is doing. * 🐾 Full-time professional dog trainer with over 4 years of hands-on experience. * 🏡 Dogs are supervised throughout the day—I work from home full-time. * 🌳 Fully fenced yard for safe outdoor play and exercise. * ❤️ Dogs are treated like family and sleep in my room, not in isolated kennels. * 👀 Experienced in reading canine body language and preventing conflicts before they happen. * 🦴 Structured daily routine with exercise, enrichment, play, and rest. * 🐕 Care is tailored to each dog's personality, age, energy level, and individual needs. * 📸 Frequent photo and video updates so you can stay connected during your dog's stay. * 🤝 Safety, trust, and clear communication are my highest priorities. * 🛡️ Calm, clean, and low-stress home environment designed to help dogs feel comfortable and secure.

About: Hi there! My wife and I are lifelong pet lovers-we both grew up in homes filled with animals and couldn't imagine life without them. For us, pets are true family members, and we care for every dog we host as if they were our own. I work part-time, and my wife is a full-time stay-at-home mom, so one (or both) of us is always home to give your dog plenty of love, attention, and playtime throughout the day. We're available any day of the week, and our schedule is very flexible. ⏰ Drop-offs and pick-ups are usually best between 8:00AM and 10:00 PM, as we adjust our routine around our baby's schedule-but we're happy to discuss other times if needed (additional fees may apply). ‼️Just a heads-up: our Daycare is designed for stays up to 8 hours. If your pup needs to stay longer (around 10–12 hours), especially with very early drop-off or late pick-up, an extra fee will apply. This helps us be fairly compensated for the additional time your dog will be with us.‼️ 🐶 We only host one Rover family at a time to ensure your pet receives our full attention and care. If you have two dogs, we're more than happy to welcome both! Otherwise, your pup will be our only guest during their stay. 👶🏻Our baby also adores dogs! Just let us know if your pup is comfortable around children so we can make sure it's the right fit. 🔒Our home is always secure-doors are locked, and all outdoor time is fully supervised. We have both a fenced and an open yard for play, and we run HVAC 24/7 to keep the indoor temperature comfortable year-round. Feel free to book a Meet & Greet or message us with any questions! Bonus: We also speak Spanish!

About: I have a lifelong love for animals and many years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Growing up in a family with veterinary professionals in it, I absorbed a wealth of practical knowledge. I have a strong, understanding of pet health, safety, and hazard prevention. While I’m not a vet myself, I am fully comfortable administering medications, and managing specific care routines. I pride myself on being attentive, calm, playful, and reliable. Whether your pet is a high-energy pup with zoomies or a senior cat needing a gentle touch, they will be in safe, knowledgeable hands. I am currently working from home with an incredibly open and flexible schedule, your pet will have my undivided attention. My weeks are completely free, making me a perfect fit for pets who thrive on constant companionship, need frequent potty breaks, or require strict, time-sensitive medication schedules. Because I share a vehicle with my partner, my schedule is highly optimized for House Sitting. If you are looking for a sitter who doesn't just 'check in,' but actually hangs out, plays, and keeps your pet company all day long, I’m your guy!" For me, keeping pets safe and happy comes down to two things: sticking to their routines and treating them like my own. I have a lot of experience managing different personalities, medical needs, and schedules, so I know how important consistency is for a pet's peace of mind (and yours!). I have three strictly indoor cats of my own, so I’m used to managing a multi-pet household. I keep up with multiple litter boxes daily, make sure they always have fresh water and dry food, feed them wet food twice a day, and at minimum play with them an hour a day. I regularly look after an older dog who gets two hours of walks a day to keep him active. I make sure he’s fed at 8:00 PM on the dot, and because he loves his crate, I safely tuck him in there whenever I have to step out for a bit so he feels secure. I’m completely comfortable with specialized medical care. One of my regular clients has three cats, and one requires time-sensitive medications via an inhaler and oral syringe. I also have experience with modern pet tech, like automatic litter boxes, and I follow the owner's schedule for cleaning them out and refreshing the automatic water fountain.

About: I’ve grown up with animals my whole life ranging from cats, dogs, Guinea pigs, mice, reptiles etc. my friends and clients have relied on me to walk and keep their animals company when their owner is away. I mainly do house sitting so I’m with the animal all day. I like to send tons of pictures and videos . This gives my clients a sense of security and reassurance that their animal is happy and content. I’m a currently attending grad school part time. This gives me a flexible schedule allowing me to stay and play with your animals. I prefer staying with your animal at their house so they feel comfortable in their own environment. Two days a week (Monday and Wednesdays) I have internship so I will be away from the house during those times for up to 6 hours At my place we have a fenced back yard for the dogs to play in. I have a in door cat that is free to room the house and find hiding spaces to sleep

About: As the longtime caretaker of two senior pets — a 16.5-year-old dachshund and a 13-year-old cat — I’m very experienced with administering medications and providing attentive, patient care to animals with different medical and emotional needs. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and horses since childhood and have also volunteered with dog and cat shelters, as well as a wildlife rescue where I help care for a wide variety of animals. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I treat every pet with the same level of care, caution, and affection that I give my own. I’m extremely detail-oriented and proactive — the type of person who researches breeds extensively and learns everything I can to make sure I’m providing the best possible care. If you’re looking for someone responsible, observant, compassionate, and genuinely devoted to animals, I would love to care for your pet. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable, attentive care when you need it most. I’m available throughout the week and genuinely enjoy spending quality time with animals, whether that means going for walks, playing in the yard, sticking to their normal routine, or simply keeping them company at home. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while giving you peace of mind while you’re away. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Whether that means walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding, medications, or just keeping them company, I’ll make sure your pet gets attentive and reliable care. I grew up with large dogs and have owned small dogs as an adult, so I understand that different breeds, sizes, and personalities all have unique needs. Safety is something I take very seriously, and I’m naturally very observant and cautious when caring for animals. Before sitting, I like to learn about your pet’s personality, routines, medical needs, behavioral quirks, comfort level with other people or animals, and of course their favorite treats and activities. I have a PhD in Biology and a very detail-oriented, scientifically minded approach, which means I tend to notice and think about things that others may overlook. My goal is always to make both pets and owners feel completely comfortable and confident in my care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
