“I’ve never had the chance to meet Lexy in person, but from what I’ve seen she’s amazing with pets especially dogs! She will always keep you updated with pictures during the walks and after. It was great to see our dog milo with someone trustworthy and friendly.”

About: I’ve had very much experience sitting for family and friends pets throughout the past 6 years. I do also have experience working with animals through volunteering at an animal shelter for about a year and a half. As of now, I am working in a vet clinic as a veterinary assistant. I am working my way to become a registered veterinary technician! I do have a dog of my own, he is two years old so he is very energetic! I always make sure to take him on walks before I go to school or work! My grandparents do also have a dog which I will always check on and walk as well! Not only do I have my own personal pet care but I also care for pets while I’m working as a veterinary assistant. My dog does get his regular walks and playtime since he’s still a puppy. I always assure he’s well fed, has fresh water and will sometimes give him specific enrichment toys. I always assure the same goes for my grandparents dog, although she is on the older side, I care for her very well.

“Amanda is absolutely wonderful! I’m so grateful I found her. She is super flexible and accommodating when I’ve had to make changes. She can handle my wild husky and I know that’s a skill!”

“Anna did an amazing job with our senior dog. She sent daily pictures and updates and It was so nice not to have to worry about anything while we were away. Thanks so much, Anna! I will be in touch for when we go out of town next. Thanks for the sweet plant and card as well. You are the best!”
About: Hello my name is Brooke! I’ve spent years caring for and training my own dog, which has given me a deep understanding of dog behavior, communication, and positive reinforcement. I’m especially comfortable with larger breeds and dogs that need a little extra patience and structure. What sets me apart is my calm, confident approach and genuine love for animals. I treat every pet like my own; making sure they feel safe, loved, and understood. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure each dog gets the attention and care they deserve. I'm currently working part-time which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for pets and spend quality time with them. My schedule allows me to do walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting during most mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I always make sure pets get the attention and consistency they need while their owners are away. When caring for pets, I focus on keeping them comfortable, happy, and on their usual routine. In my home, dogs have a calm, safe space to relax, regular walks, playtime, and lots of love. I make sure they always have fresh water, a cozy spot to rest, and plenty of attention. When I’m in a client’s home, I follow their care instructions closely, from feeding schedules to favorite toys and walking routes. I always treat each home and pet with respect, keeping things clean and making sure your furry friend feels safe and cared for while you’re away.
About: I’ve pet sat animals since I was 11, taking care of friends and family. I have the most experience in smaller to medium dogs, but I’ve taken brief care of a few larger dogs before. I’ve looked after a couple puppies and I can handle them, but don’t have tons of experience if that’s a need for you. I’m in the Animal Care and Training Program at Moorpark College so I am fairly adept at handling animal behavior. I am also first aid certified in the case of emergencies. I am currently on summer break and have a very flexible schedule, able to fit most client’s needs. I can drop by any time and can give your pets the attention and care they need. Once I start my fall semester my schedule will be updated and may have less flexibility. I will spend time and watch over them wherever their preferred environment is, whether it be inside or outside, I have no trouble sitting outside with your pets who love to sniff around. They can be walked as often as suggested and will be given ample potty breaks if pet sat inside.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid and my experiences have ranged from puppies to senior dogs with special medical needs and disabilities. I’m an animal lover and have love and respect for all living beings. I do my best to make sure your fur baby is comfortable, attended to and loved. I’m currently a stay at home dog mom, so I will have all the time available to take care of your beloved dog. I’m available for boarding, daycare, drop in visits and walking. My home has a roomy, fenced in backyard and I have a super friendly pup at home. There is plenty of space to play, run and sniff! I do not let the dogs go outside unattended. They are always supervised to ensure safety. I’m also able to crate your dog whenever needed if that is preferred.

Toys available for pets. My house is extremely big over 6000 sqft.
“Sam has taken great care of our dog Rex over the past month, and also added on helping to care for our cats and house while we were away on vacation. He's very flexible and communicative, and has been accommodating to schedule changes throughout the holiday season. We're very thankful for his help in making sure all of our pets are safe and well-cared for when we're away from home!”

“Larry was amazing! Took our pup out for a solid 1+ hour walk everyday on our 2 week vacation abroad. Our dog clearly felt comfortable and happy with him. He even bought him booties because the side walk was hot!”

I am patient, friendly, and gentle with all kinds of pets I’m currently not working so I have a flexible schedule all week. I am able to do pet care daily each week and can accommodate most schedules It’s important for me to earn the trust of each pet I care for and respect their needs and boundaries. I love caring for cats as I have one myself, and love going on long walks with dogs to parks!
“I always feel so safe having Janelle check on my frenchie and take her for walks! She is the best and she’s always punctual on time, and sends the best pictures! I will always rebook with her whenever I can ❤️”

About: I’ve had animals since I was really young. I even know how to take care of horses. I started riding when I was about 5. I went to my first horse show when I was 13. Animals have always been such a big part of my life. I currently own a chi-weenie named Mateo, he’s now 11. Mateo is super sweet and smart, I’ve taught him tons of tricks. I have worked in doggy daycare and most recently a bather in Sacramento so work I have with tons of dogs on a daily basis. I may be willing to give your dog a bath for a lil extra money just ask about my prices :) Im pretty open scheduled. Am looking for work so that may change in the near future, but as of now book to your heart's desires. I make sure to communicate with my Pet parents to ensure the animals needs are cared for and ask if there anything they need done.
About: I absolutely love dogs. I will reciprocate the love and energy your dog gives me. I have my own very best friend that I have raised since he was a puppy and he means the world to me. I mainly do house sitting so I’m with the animal all day. I like to send tons of pictures and videos . This gives my clients a sense of security and reassurance that their animal is happy and content. I’m a currently attending grad school part time. This gives me a flexible schedule allowing me to stay and play with your animals. I prefer staying with your animal at their house so they feel comfortable in their own environment. Two days a week (Monday and Wednesdays) I have internship so I will be away from the house during those times for up to 6 hours At my place we have a fenced back yard for the dogs to play in. I have a in door cat that is free to room the house and find hiding spaces to sleep
“Mario was fantastic with Luna! He’s very communicative, responsible, takes tons of photos and give updates frequently. I needed someone to help me with walking Luna while I was at work and despite her being a handful, he was incredibly kind, patient, and undaunted by the task. I highly recommend him if you ever need someone to care for your fur babies.”

About: I have about 7 years of pet handling experience from my own animals to volunteering at animal shelters in LA. I have worked with dogs and cats of all ages, from puppies to seniors. I have gained experience from my own dogs, one of which was blind and deaf. With over 250 hours volunteering at my local city animal shelter, I gained additional experience caring for cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, and guinea pigs. I cannot wait to meet your furry friend! I currently have a very flexible schedule. I am usually busy on the weekends, but I could make myself free if I am given enough notice. When caring for a client’s pet, safety is very important to me. Following the owner’s rules and ensuring your pet is cared for and loved while you are away is my number one priority :)

Lexi it’s the best! She has such a beautiful heart and she takes a really good care of dog Maple. She went above and beyond, she made Maple’s walks so fun. The best part about Lexi is that she updated me about Maple and his walk. I would definitely call her again to watch Maple and walk him, Maple loves her!! Great job!

Lyndsay came to walk my dog Azuki for the first time while I was visiting my mother, and I’m so grateful to have found someone trustworthy and communicative. She let me know when she was on her way and again when she arrived, which made handing Azuki off so easy. I feel confident I can count on her if I’m ever in a pinch or even if I decide to set up something long-term. :) Thanks Lyndsay!

Paula went above and beyond caring for my dogs. She took them on daily walks, gave them treats, and sent thoughtful updates with great photos. Her detailed remarks gave me total peace of mind, and it was clear my dogs were in excellent hands. She’s reliable, caring, and truly exceptional!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
