About: I have been caring for animals for most of my life and have experience with dogs, cats, and horses of different ages, sizes, and personalities. Friends, neighbors, family members, and clients have trusted me to care for their pets, provide companionship, maintain routines, and ensure their safety and well-being. I am patient, attentive, and responsible, and I understand how important it is for pets to feel comfortable and loved while their owners are away. I provide plenty of affection, exercise, playtime, and regular updates with photos. My goal is to give every pet the same care and attention I would give my own family. I recently moved to California and am currently building a new chapter in my life. This transition gives me the flexibility to dedicate more time to caring for pets, something that truly brings me joy. I love spending time with animals, getting to know their unique personalities, and making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to adapt to each pet’s routine and needs. I currently provide pet care in my clients’ homes, where pets can remain comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their regular routines. I understand the importance of trust when caring for both pets and someone’s home. I am responsible, respectful, attentive to details, and committed to following each owner’s instructions carefully. My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and loving experience for every pet while giving their owners peace of mind.

Leah and Edward were great treating walking my two senior pups. One gets very fearful and is partially blind and they were gentle and able to get her going on a walk. They communicated with me every step and sent photos. We Will definitely recommend and use them again!

Jessica was amazing for our dog walks! She is very responsible, and very communicative. We were nervous as this was our first time using Rover or a dog walker that wasn’t family, but Jessica helped to make all of our worries go away quickly. She was very kind and warm with our two dogs, and they warmed up to her right away - even one of our dogs that can sometimes be a little scared around new people. They will definitely miss their walks with Jessica! We would absolutely recommend Jessica, and she will be the first one we look for the next time we need some help.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life including large dogs, small dogs, rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, lizards, and cats/kittens. Now as an adult I have 2 hilarious little pugs, who are my whole world. I have experience caring for senior dogs, puppies, and dogs with various health issues that require medication. I am currently a stay at home mom and home all week, so you can trust that your fur baby will never be left alone while you’re away! Due to already having 2 of my own dogs, I will only accept one additional dog at a time (or 2 if from the same family.) because of this, you can rest assured that your dog will not be around other pets that you are not aware of, and I will also be able to devote my time and energy to your fur baby.

About: I’ve gained petsitting experience through helping out friends and family with their dogs. I’ve walked, fed, and provided playtime with these dogs. I’ve learned how to handle dogs with different personalities that range from low to high energy. I’m a student and currently on summer break. I don’t have a job, so I have full availability for pet sitting and dog walking. In my clients home, I respect their space while making sure their dog/s can feel comfortable with their usual routine. I make sure to maintain a clean environment as well.

About: I love animals; always have! I used to come home from school and do homework in front of Animal Planet and when it wasn't doing that I was taking care of my neighbor's pets. Cats, dogs and horses and I looked forward to it every time. My responsibilities included walking, playing, feeding and even reading to them (which I have on good authority was very adorable). I'm very excited to take care of your fur babies for you! Fear Free Leader in Animal Wellbeing graduate. *Ask me about Active & Running services* **Ask me about Pet Portraiture Add-ons** I am currently taking online classes and looking forward to being with animals when I can part time. I am looking forward to meeting new pets and taking care of them in between bouts of homework and studying. I am available for most services! Including drop-in check-ins, letting dogs out to do their business or go on walks or play with your pets. I'm also available to pet-sit and keep them company while they relax in their space. After meeting your pets and learning their specific and unique needs, likes or dislikes, I am available to feed, walk, play most days.

About: Looking for a pet sitter who truly understands your furry friends? With over a decade of experience caring for dogs and cats, I’ve been offering trusted pet sitting services since I was 15. As a proud cat owner myself, I know the importance of maintaining a pet’s routine, comfort, and happiness while you're away. Whether it's playtime, cuddles, or administering medications, my attention to detail and genuine love for animals set me apart. Your pets will feel right at home in my care—because I treat them like family! I am happy to take care of your furry friends directly from your home or my apartment in Manhattan Beach. I currently work full time remotely and am available to work from your home during the day or stop by periodically, depending on frequency and location. Whatever you feel most comfortable with! When I care for your pet in their home, my top priorities are safety, trust, and maintaining a comfortable environment. I follow all of your pet’s usual routines to ensure they feel secure and at ease while you’re away, from feeding times to exercise and play. I take the time to get to know each pet’s unique personality and needs, whether it’s offering extra cuddles for shy pets or giving active ones plenty of exercise. Safety is always a top priority—I’ll make sure all doors and windows are securely closed, supervise outdoor time to prevent escapes, and keep hazardous items or substances out of reach. Trust is vital in the relationship I build with both you and your pet. I’ll keep you updated with photos and check-ins, so you know your pet is happy and well cared for. By providing a familiar, loving environment, I ensure your pet feels safe, loved, and relaxed in their own space.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life & have had cats for 7 years. I have also had pets such as fish & a rat when I was younger. From 3 weeks old to senior dogs that need special care or medicine. I have been pet sitting for the past 20 years & would love to continue to do so for the rest of my life. I truly enjoy helping others & I love animals so why not do both at the same time? :) I’m currently only working part time so I have a good amount of time on my hands & would love to fill it up with doing something I love. I make sure to clean my cats/ dog’s bowls every day & fill them with fresh food & water. My boyfriend & I make sure to take our dog out at least 4 times a day. I always make sure that the guest pet is comfortable so they don’t feel any less happy than when they’re with their owners. I try to play & walk them as much as they require so they can get a good nights sleep. Special requests like giving treats or medicine are always something I ask about to make sure all of the pets in my care are as comfortable as possible.

  • 88% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
